TW: WAR,  DEATH, PROBABLE HISTORICAL INACCURACY)
Born in 1896, Han Tae-Seong was just nine years old when Korea came under Japanese Colonial rule. His mother, Han Chun-Ja held a position as a gungnyeo— a woman who waits on royalty within the Korean Imperial Palace. While this transition brought economic hardship to their family, Tae was well-provided for as the eldest son of a middle class family. This changed in November 1905 when Japanese troops encircled the palace to force the finalization of the treaty terms. The treaty, declared a success by the Japanese, was signed and during the eight-day process Tae’s mother and younger sister were taken into the custody of the Japanese military. Fervently loyal to Emperor of Korea, they were assumed dead and Tae never heard from them again.
His father joined the civilian militia known as a righteous army as a means to fight against the Japanese invasion that had tore apart his family. At the age of ten Tae joined this fight and remained a member of the righteous army until their final defeat in 1916. While the eighteen year old boy was fortunate not to have been killed during the events, he spent the next three years imprisoned for his participation. His sentence would have been longer if not for the national protest against Japanese colonialism that took Korea by storm in 1919.
Tae spent the next couple of years working in factories producing parts. Industrialization was taking hold in Korea and the demand was great. He worked long hours in terrible conditions. It was during this time that his father, finally released from prison himself, contacted Tae and revealed that his mother had been a witch. With this newfound knowledge Tae chose to leave Korea and pursue an education in magical training. He immigrated to the United States in 1923 with the final wave of Korean immigrants under the guise of working as a laborer on a fruit plantation in California. Instead, he attending school at a fledgling university for witches in Sacramento. That winter he received word that his father had passed away.
To say that his life changed immensely would be an understatement. Having fought and worked hard his entire life, Tae immediately took to the change of pace being a student brought. He joined a coven in the area and spent his days pouring over the selection of grimoires in the school library. His bubbly personality and optimistic outlook proved popular among his classmates and Tae found himself surrounded by a new found-family. His life in California was thrown off by the start of WWII. Many of his covenmates felt the need to do their due diligence and serve. Tae, thankful for the opportunities America had offered him so far joined the California National Guard as a translator becoming a member of the ‘Tiger Brigade.’
Postwar, Tae returned to his coven and resided in California until the summer of 1995. The decades between the Great War and then had been pivotal to his growth. Tae had seen the sexual revolution take hold of the country and was present for the birth of the modern day gay rights movement. With no ties to his past holding him back, Tae began identifying as an out bisexual man. With the disbandment of his coven in 1995, Tae moved to London to join the Obscuris witches living there. It’s been a good fit for him considering his impulsive and curious nature. Tae currently works as a printer and lives above print shop.

BIOGRAPHY
(TW: MURDER,  RAPE, PROBABLE HISTORICAL INACCURACY)
Born in 5 BC, Druscilla Fidele Agosti was the oldest of four children born to Alaric and Isolde Agosti. Residing in Romania during the time of the Odyrisian Empire, stability was an unknown to their family. The Odyrisian Empire consisted of twenty-two kingdoms and over forty Thracian tribes and power was constantly shifting between various leaders and tribal elites. Power was fluid, easily won and lost as her father was to find out in 9 AD. He rose in ranks and became the royal adviser to Cotys IV. The king tried fervently to unite the now independent Canite and Oddrisae kingdoms in an attempt to bolster their borders against the growing power of Macedonia. The Macedonians, catching wind of this plot, sent out assassins to take out Alaric and Cotys IV. While Cotys IV and his family survived this attempt, Alaric Agosti and his family were not so fortunate. Druscilla awoke to find her family brutally murdered around her, her own body battered and torn by the assassin’s knife. She survived, a fact she would credit to the power of pure spite.
The prospects for an orphaned girl at fourteen in Ancient Romania were dismal, to say the least. It was to her great fortune that Cotys IV felt indebted to her late father and pulled the young girl into his own family. Rank and power she would not inherit, but the privilege and opportunities allotted to her within his walls more than made up for that.  Druscilla was married at the age of sixteen to Zayraxes of Gacian in 11 AD. Their union was brief, Zayraxes was killed in combat with the Roman Empire in 19 AD. During that invasion Druscilla was brutally raped by Roman soldiers.
Widowed, childless, and sullied by rape, the rage that had been building in her veins since the death of her family boiled over. Over the course of the next four years Drusciilla made her way west towards the Great Roman Empire. It was there, penniless , sick and thirsty for blood, in 23 AD, that Drusiclla met the god who would alter the course of her life forever. Sensing the fury within the girl’s tiny frame, the witch offered her a deal. Kill a mark for her and Druscilla would live to watch the Empire who wronged her crumble. She was quick to accept the deal, sneaking into the Roman general’s home in the dead of night. Her hunger to avenge her family made for a swift and brutal death for the general, committing a murder not unlike the one that originally set her on this path.
Over the following days Druscilla laid in agony as the blood thirst took hold and her skin burned and withered under the light of day. Her eyes, once green, went black with hunger. Within the first couple of months of her transition Druscilla killed tens of men in her attempts to satiate the need for blood. This number would only grow higher as the god’s promise came true and she slowly watched as the Roman Empire fell around her.
With her newfound immortality came a freedom the likes of which she had never experienced. Druscilla wandered the growing European world over the next couple of centuries taking lovers of all genders who aged in the blink of an eye and slowly becoming a learned woman in the secrecy of the night. She avoided staying in any place long enough for the citizens to catch on to the fact that she never aged and was careful not to accumulate too much rank in society. Some highlights of these years include disguising herself as a doctor during the Black Plague of England (those bird masks proved useful for something), meeting William Shakespeare in 1586, cloth-making during the years of Reformation, coming to America with the Puritans in 1648, preying on Confederate soldiers during the Civil War and marching for the right to vote in 1913.
After taking some time to cool off from way too much fun during the Summer of Love in Haight-Ashbury, Drusiclla moved to London in 1980. The thriving city held no interest to her until she began hearing whispers of supernatural beings being drawn there.

BIOGRAPHY
(TW: SICKNESS,  DEATH, PROBABLE HISTORICAL INACCURACY)
Born in 1784 during the Joseon dynasty, Sun Soojin is the oldest son of a trader. His father, Sun Hyung-Joon brought goods into their village from the reaches of China & Japan as well as the Middle East. Soojin’s childhood was par for the course; he learned the skills of his father in anticipation of becoming a trader himself. At the age of thirteen he officially started working and was married to a young woman from a neighboring village. This stroke of good fortune was not to last. At the age of seventeen he returned home from an expedition to find the village pillaged and burned to the ground by invading Manchu forces.
For days he dug through the debris of his family home, only stopping after his worst nightmare became truth— there in the ashes were the remains of his parents, brothers and wife. Alone and emotionally destroyed, Soojin wandered through several villages that had met the same fate before he ended up setting up home in a village along the shores of the Yellow Sea. Trade was good there and Soojin was quickly able to establish himself. It was only a few months after he arrived that the dark of night brought a new chilling complication— the pale shells of villagers, their lifeblood sucked from them by a force greater than the gods.
As an established member of the community Soojin joined the men in the village in seeking out the creature reigning chaos over them in the dead of night. It was one night when, separated from the others, Jae revealed himself to Soojin. From the dried blood on his clothing it wasn’t hard for Soojin to realize that this boy, seemingly his own age, was the living nightmare he was hunting. In that moment he made his dying wish— and lived. It wasn’t until later that he learned that the original vampire had actually saved his life from a rabid shadowhound, the companion to a witch who had been long tracking Jae’s movements.
If you asked Soojin how or when they fell for each other he wouldn’t be able to point to a specific time. Despite everything Jae was and represented, Soojin fell hard for the boy. He kept the original’s identity a secret under the condition that he feed only on the civilians from the neighboring village. They lived together under the impression that Soojin had taken him in. This went on for three years— Soojin continued trading and came into contact with people from all corners of the known world. This, sadly, was to be his downfall. In the summer of 1804 Soojin returned from a trip carrying the smallpox virus. The disease ravaged his community and Soojin himself was on his deathbed ill with it and pneumonia. Smallpox, at the time, was considered an illness that was brought on by a deity. This time his dying wish was simple and whispered between cracked lips— to let the god’s will be done. Jae was to let him die and continue with his life.
In the blur of nightmares brought on in his fevered state Soojin tasted the metallic tang of blood. His next waking moment would be filled with one thing and one thing only; crippling hunger. Not only had Jae brought him back as a vampire, but a witch who had long been tracking the original had finally found him in their village. Her revenge? A curse of the blackest magic that rendered Soojin a hybrid. His anger at his lover knew no bounds. Not only had Jae defied his wishes, but he had turned on the will of the gods. In his fury and desire to spill blood, Soojin turned on Jae, nearly resulting in the original vampire’s death. Disgusted with himself and what he had become, Soojin left Jae.
They haven’t seen each other in the centuries since. Soojin has spent this time wandering the world, still afraid of himself and the trail of carnage left behind at each of his stops.
