“How could you push the Vestige off the cliff!?” A Worm Cult mage yelled at the large Xivkyn standing before her.

Zyrvveus’ face scrunched into a grimace. She crossed her arms and glared at the puny mortal in front of her. “You weren’t here! I was not letting that puny insect talk to me like that. Besides, she landed in the creatia.” Zyrvveus uncrossed her arms and inspected her talon like nails.

“I ought to let Lord Bal know what you did, so he may flay your hide.”

“Let him know.” She shrugged and yawned. “She’s alive. She’s still in Coldharbour. She can’t use her magick. Those magicka siphoning cuffs are still on her wrists. Besides, who can make it here to rescue her?”

The mage tugged at her hair and groaned. “There’s word of Mannimarco’s Companion of old is here. Ancient battle mage. And an ex-worm cult member. He deserted when she was sacrificed. Been evading our network since….”

“Look, I don’t care about your cult and its inner workings.” The Xivkyn turned away. “They don’t know where she is. What use is being here in Coldharbour?”
