Under cut because i don't want it reblogged (+ i don't even know if i'll post the finished version tbh). The other piece is finished and going through small edits as I notice issues that are within reason to fix.
I still have to work on details, a lot of them lmao. But I'm def vibing with the silhouette and concept. The skirt being kinda flower-shaped was a happy accident but i'm running with it.
#personal rambles#oc: sithelra#planning something bigger on the side but i'm too spent today after... not sleeping so working on this is better

So my idea is that Sithelra (my baroness) came from Shadow Absalom. She hated the place and the lifestyle, and found its twin metropolis stifling in its own way.
In her limited contact with Golarion, however, she felt drawn to what she heard of its wider world and its people. It felt like a place where it would be easier for someone like her to breathe and live.
So, after a few years spent working as a minor agent for an interplanar trading company (most likely related to the Onyx Alliance, she isn't proud of that), she finally took her chance and left her native plane once and for all for Golarion and adventuring.
Having a Fey bloodline, she was subconsciously drawn to the Stolen Lands. The idea of being her own master was too tempting a proposition after living her entire life under Argrinixya's iron claw, fearing her wrath at every step, so she jumped at the Aldoris' proposal as soon as she heard of it.
She is still figuring out this whole governance thing, but one thing is for sure: she doesn't want to rule out of fear like Argrinixya and recreate the homeland she left behind.
#personal rambles#oc: sithelra#Kingmaker companions have strong outcast vibes so I wanted to match the energy#I think she is finally fully taking shape in my brain#How do I solve my problem creating ambitious characters? Giving her Evil Dragon PTSD#being Way Too Nice was one of the main reasons she struggled in the Shadow Plane#I couldn't find a feat that would work for the idea in 1e but#in my heart her animal companion is also from the Shadow Plane and has been with her since he was a pup

As a sidenote, I made a point to try and push Nela and Sithelra apart at a design level as much as possible. From height, to their faces, color palette, their aesthetics, even the hair length. There are some things i could have maybe pushed even further but I think I at least managed to avoid the most typical trappings.
#a shadow's rambles#body type-wise Sithelra is a Freaking Stick Figure because fetchlings were for years canonically Very Thin (not anymore apparently)#it's intended to be this very specific “tall person with the width of someone 10cm shorter” body type I've seen irl sometimes#alas her clothes hide her figure a lot so it's very hard to convey#i imagine her being a bit self-conscious about it so it checks tbh#I want to keep adding variety to my OCs' body types whenever possible
