Here she is!! Sealight's redesign thanks to the help of one of my great friends 😭💜

I also adjusted Sealight's backstory to fit her new look: Sealight is now part of a specific caste that lives outside of Cybertron which focuses a lot on studying and preserving organic life, and not super ingrained with the Autobot propaganda. A few of them occasionally go over to Cybertron to stay up to date with the current events. Sealight was chosen to go so she experiences a huge culture shock going to Cybertron and becomes very reserved and shy because of it. That's how she and Longarm get close since she was placed in Intel instead of the Science division like she wanted. But Longarm freaks out on the idea Sealight could figure him out so he has her with the other Elite Guard going to Earth to throw her off and that's how she meets Prowl :))

As for the comic...I'm not sure if that's their first canon interaction but it was something silly and I had to draw it. BUT SHE IS SMALLER THAN PROWL. SHE JUST HAPPENS TO BE ON HIGHER GROUND RN

One of the best feelings for me as a fic writer in this fandom is when somebody tells me that they liked one of my original characters. Character creation can be hard work and nerve-wracking, so it’s really rewarding whenever people tell me that it’s paid off. This fandom has a wealth of fantastic, memorable original characters, so I wanted to make a recommendation list of some of my favourite fics that feature them. The fics in this list are a range of lengths, ratings, warnings, and themes, and I’m hoping everyone will be able to find something to their taste here.

Sealight Cookie

While still somewhat shorter than her parents, Sealight has enjoyed both the vast sea and shivered at the cold of the night. She prefers to stay near them, but at times they allow her to travel around and meet new Cookies! No ones quite sure how her hair works; It starts off looking solid then becomes water and flows behind her much like what her bang is made off. However, this hardly seems to bother her and she's always eager to explore with her trusty blade!

Sealight has never once let go of her odd weapon. Sea Fairy's constant fear of something bad happening has left her to keep it near at all times and carrying it around wherever she goes. It's sharp curve means she can easily slice any thick grass and tough bushes to forge a path through the wilderness of the kingdoms forest.

While her parents may not often be seen in the kingdom, Sealight often shows up just before the sun sets and before the moon rises. She appears even in daytime; Moonlight seems to have ensured the sun doesn't harm her exploration!

It's unknown, though, if anything would happen if she let go of the blade she holds.

I'm interrupting my usual BLOSC posting to talk about how much I love TFA Prowl. 😭💜💜💜He is a sweetheart and I'm still not over what they did to him at the end of the show. So I ship him with my TFA OC Sealight because they're so sweet and gentle with each other. AKA: Prowlight!!

So a quick briefing about Sealight: she's part of the Elite Guard but she really loves Earth and is enamored with Earth music fjghjdkfghkjdghkjdf. I've actually had her for over a year but this is my first posting about her publicly, even though a friend is helping me with a redesign of her since her design is over a year ago and it could be better KJHDSFNJDHK

Anyway. These are some of my boys. They are all neutral and they float around in space being idiots.

Screwloose- kind of an ass, past is a mystery but he does tell people about it. He’s done a lot of stuff: was kind of in the military, did drugs, became garbage, lived on garbage, became a pirate, and now he’s a bar tender? He turns into a tugboat.

DreamWeaver- Was purchased by a towering and lived a lot of his life being something that as shown off for how pretty he was, got into racing, got into freedom, temporarily a decepticon. Now he’s into nature and plants. Has a touching habit. 2016 Corvette Stingray

Sealight- Wanna-be scientist/doctor. Got in trouble several times with the people he was owned by. the curiosity outweighed the punishment. Until they took his face. found a way to learn how to be a doctor anyway. Married to Turbine. Turns into some kind of underwater probe..

Turbine- Predacon that slept way too late. Got a frame change from Flip Out. Debating changing back to her old form cause honestly who wouldn’t miss being a dragon? Is now a jumpo Jet.

SoundByt- was a cassette but had a frame upgrade to a motorcycle. Deployer died so he picked up stealing. Stole from the right guy and they became friends. Him and ScrewLoose are kind of a thing??

SolarSplit - captain of the ship. Honestly too good. Tried hard to be a good person but can sometimes be really indecisive and make bad choices. Use to race, that’s where he met DreamWeaver. Triple changer that is a hover car and a helicopter. Dating King.

Micra and Toolbox- twins but micra is a disposable class seeing as how he turns into a multi-tool. Likes to be illegal. Toolbox is a good boy who just wants to help and be useful. Kind of a cowboy. Turns into a forklift.

King- Worked in the counsel. Could be called a decepticon sympathizer and you wouldn’t be wrong but you also wouldn’t be right. A good person who wants to help people. Probably one of the few good people on the counsel. Knew he couldn’t help so he left while the leaving was good.

Flip Out- Military man turned mercenary turned scientist. Got taught by the same guy that taught Sealight. Likes to keep updated about the autobo/Decepticon war. pastel colored to be less intimidating. Turns into some weird spider-y 4 treaded tank.

Ricochet- A gun. Requires direct link to the users spark to actually be like 100% useful. hasn’t ever done that so he feels useless. Got sold to SolarSplit as a “good job sport” present. Now a free man with lots of problems.

Horizon- turns INTO the ship they take around the universe. Laid back but can come off as uncaring. Was told he resembled a “cat” so now he says that’s why he’s so lazy. Dating Toolbox.
