Chapter 12: It's Just A Simulation—The Prophecy (BoB Fanfiction)

A/N: Just a little revenge for Winnie haha! I hope you enjoy this as much as I am! So let me know what you think! Also....hypothetically...if I was thinking about a MOTA/BoB crossover fic that had 2 main OC's and the love interests were Dick Winters and Ken Lemmons, AND one of the OC's would be hard of hearing....thoughts?? Let me know haha!

Winnie stared at the hat full of names on her desk in the medical hut.  She was supposed to draw random names from Easy Company to designate as ‘dead’ and then the Medics were supposed to diagnose and triage.  They were supposed to present their findings and if needed, give medical attention. 

The normal thing would have been to just randomly draw the names, as she was supposed to.  But the thought of forcing Sobel to bend to her whims in this moment was an overpowering thought process.  

It was true, she was a doctor and putting people’s health first was supposed to be important to her.  And it was.  But Winnie had always been a vengeful creature, ever since she was a child.  She knew it was a vice of hers and every Sunday, she said prayers of apologies to the Good Lord.  But that didn’t stop her mind from working overtime. 

When she was a girl and one of the neighbor boys had been picking on Charlie, who was a literal toddler, Winnie had stopped her brothers from piling on the boy and beating him up. She had cited that he wasn’t worth their time—and she had meant that genuinely, at least in her brothers’ cases.  But when it came to her?  He was absolutely worth the time and effort. For her part in things, Winnie had snuck over to their kitchen window and she had dropped some of the home remedies that another neighbor had lent her for when her brothers were sick. 

The rest of the boy’s family had only had a slice, so their stomachaches were not quite as severe.  But the boy?  He had eaten three whole slices.  He had been sick all night, shitting his bed and throwing up.  A cruel practice perhaps, but Winnie had smiled when she had heard the news. 

That sort of behavior had carried well into her teen years and adulthood—and though she had done her best to be on her best behavior while at Camp Toccoa, Winnie felt a little stir for trouble.  She had exactly the sort of plan that would get Sobel to leave her alone for a long while, perhaps even the rest of the miserable time that they were forced to work together. 

It was labeled under A—Appendectomy.

Hours later, the medics all had a group of men designated as dead or injured.  Some of them had been assigned sicknesses like malaria or pneumonia, and others had been designated to show lacerations or burns.  And in the midst of them all, Herbert Sobel had been assigned for appendicitis.  

Winnie couldn’t deny the fact that she was watching the medics carefully and she herself was under watch from one of Sink’s men—the fact of the matter was that they wanted each of the medics to perform to the best of their abilities here. 

Her gaze drifted over to where Roe was just finishing up his second to last designation.  She crossed the floor briskly, reaching him just as he was standing up.  “Yes, ma’am?” Roe questioned, gaze falling on her curiously.  Winnie’s features betrayed nothing as she stood there, glancing at him and the other medics. 

“I have something I want you and the other medics to try.  It’s absolutely imperative that if this comes up in the field, you know how to handle it,” Winnie said evenly. 

“What is it?” Roe asked curiously. 

Winnie just gestured to Sobel, who was laying down across the room.  “I’ve marked him down for appendicitis.  I’d like to see how you and your fellow medics, Mampre and Spina—how you’d handle that.  Feel free to knock him out, of course.” 

“Of course,” Roe got a funny little grin on his face at the words. 

“And if you require any help or assistance, I’ll have Reba Garrett at your disposal,” Winnie added.  

At that, Roe glanced over to where Reba was instructing another medic on the proper sewing technique for finishing a stitch.  In the few months since coming to Camp Toccoa, Reba had always had a kind smile or word for anyone who came into contact with her.  And she was no flirt like Eileen—it made Reba somewhat endearing, at least in his opinion. 

“That would be much appreciated.” 

Winnie brightened at his words.  “In that case, I’ll leave Sobel in your capable hands.  And should he find himself knocked out—an actual incision in his stomach—and should you hypothetically state that he was, in fact, suffering from appendicitis, who am I to argue with your diagnosis?” 

Roe just stared wearily at his superior officer for a moment.  Doctor Winnie Allen was many things—a hardass who played by the rules, a no-nonsense sort of woman, well-known for her cold demeanor and usual heartless tact.  But never once did troublemaker or mischief indulging occur to him.  

He hesitated for a moment.  “Ma’am?” 

“Yes?” 

“Payback for the showers?” 

“The Bible says an eye for an eye and a tooth for a tooth, but seeing as how Jesus said not to do that—I wouldn’t call it payback, per say.  More like….” Winnie paused for a moment, searching for the correct term.  “Helping him fall into a better routine with the women here.  Wouldn’t you agree?” 

“I’m not at liberty to say.” 

“In that case, it’s an order not to say anything otherwise.” 

At that, he did give a small smirk.  “Yes, ma’am.” 

With that, Winnie watched as Roe gathered Spina and Mampre and Reba together—and then they headed over to Sobel, quickly administering the gas they needed to get him fully asleep.  Winnie couldn’t keep the smirk off of her features.  The simple fact of the matter was that she was going to fully claim that they had saved his life here today.  

He would be so indebted to them—he’d feel awful about the way that he had treated them, and Eileen.  Winnie wasn’t so foolish as to think that it would be enough for him to actually apologize. 

She had found that most men who had been in the wrong tended not to apologize for much, if anything.  Daniel Perry had been the exact type of ex-husband to do that sort of thing.  There had been plenty wrong with their marriage.  From the fact that he was older than her and knew that it was grooming all the same, to the fact that it was so clearly based on transaction than anything else—to the fact that he took more than he ever gave and never once apologized for how that left her burned. 

And he had never once apologized for the wrong he had done, for raising a hand to her that last time they had seen one another—the way he had gotten physical before she had taken a bat to his damn car. 

So no, Winnie was not expecting any sort of apology.  What she was, in full, expecting, was a change in how things operated around here.  And if that meant her harassment would end, she would take it.  And there had been plenty of harassment; rain runs so he could see her legs and so her white shirt would be soaked and he could see every plane that was part of her chest; scrubbing toilets and bathrooms on her hands and knees to satisfy a very particular image in his own mind—

Yes, Winnie was over it all.  And though she could not fight back in an overt way, she had her way of handling things.  If this solved that particular problem, there would be no reason to cause a fuss and go to Sink about anything.  So in her professional opinion, a win should be considered a win.

By the time that dinner had come around by the end of the day, rumors had spread like wildfire through the camp.  Winnie could not deny that she felt a slight sense of satisfaction as Sobel recounted the heroic tales of Roe, Spina, Mampre, and Reba—and though he did not mention her name at all, he had confronted her almost immediately and she had bolstered the fact that they had saved his life. 

Screw the Hippocratic Oath for just a moment. 

Sobel had not apologized, true to her very accurate prediction.  But what he had done was give her a grateful nod and then moved on with his life.  So here she was, sitting at the dinner table across from Reba and Eileen. 

“You know, you look entirely too satisfied,” Eileen observed, glancing between her and Reba with a frown.  “And I know you’re not getting laid, so what—” 

Winnie kicked her shin lightly.  “I can be in a good mood.” 

“You did something,” Eileen deadpanned. 

“Maybe,” Reba said with a slight smirk.  “Maybe she’s just reveling in her peace finally being achieved via one appendectomy.” 

Eileen’s eyes nearly widened.  “Oh Win, you didn’t!” 

“I very much did.  Let’s be grateful I don’t have access to the kitchen because I do have access to laxatives,” Winnie deadpanned.  

“Oh God,” Eileen mumbled out. 

Before Reba or Winnie could reply, Winters and Nixon had arrived at the table, both practically bursting with energy.  Nixon slid into the seat beside Winnie, slinging an arm around her shoulders.  “You’re a beautiful, cold, evil genius, you know that?” He exclaimed with a knowing grin. 

“I’m sure I don’t know what you mean,” Winnie replied evenly, taking a bite of her food. 

“Ah huh,” Dick said in an unconvinced tone, crossing his arms as he looked at her through a narrowed gaze. 

“Word is you authorized a life-saving surgery,” Nixon said, ignoring Dick’s unamused behavior. 

“True, I’m afraid.  Reba was there, she assisted.  You can always ask her,” Winnie replied, eyes finally glittering with a hint of life in them. 

At that, everyone’s gaze moved onto Reba—who was sitting there unassuming.  “Oh yes!” Reba exclaimed firmly.  “He was in desperate need of the appendectomy.” 

Dick just let out a deep sigh.  “Sometimes, I think you’re a bad influence,” he said, gaze falling back on Winnie. 

“I blame the lack of a good parental figure,” Winnie retorted without hesitation. 

Nixon, Reba, and Eileen all chuckled at the words and Dick just let out another sigh.  He had thought that Winnie was a perfectly reasonable human being and someone who followed things to the letter of the law.  This mischief was not something he could have foreseen in any sort of future. 

“If I had thought you could get into this sort of trouble, I don’t think I would’ve wanted you and Nix to be friends in the first place,” Dick finally stated. 

Nixon and Winnie just gave matching smiles of innocence.  “I’m sure we don’t know what you mean,” Winnie replied. 

“We make your life so much more entertaining, after all,” Nixon added.

Rosella is a doll crafted in the LoS to be Messmer’s eternal servant, as all other able-bodied men and women in his ranks are needed as soldiers. She was created without a soul, but Messmer has imbued within her a flame that has granted her a semblance of one.

Ismay and Murdoch are two of the three Fire Knights born within the LoS (the third being Queelign). Messmer helped raised them, and has stationed them in the Storehouse to keep them close and safe. Due to being born in the death realm, they each have a close association with an aspect of Death: Ismay with spirits, and Murdoch with water.

Reba is a depraved perfumer that took a keen interest in base serpent Messmer. She willingly became the serpent’s thrall and accepted his venom to study its corruptive effects. In doing so, her biology has been heavily altered: she has become hermaphroditic, grown a pair of shadowy arms, and gained the black scales and tail of a rattlesnake.

Amaretto only serves really bad, overpriced cocktails. She will try to fist-fight customers who don't leave her tips. She low-key wishes she was a boxcar so she could join her girlfriends on long hauls. She has a twin sister named Maraschino who was also a bar car but got converted into an ice cream parlor car

Rebar was Ethyl's favorite frieght truck even before they started dating. She almost got scrapped after a major accident but Ethyl fought tooth and nail to have her repaired. Cabeese kind of freak her out (at least the ones she's met). Amaretto exclusively calls her Reba

1. What chore does [x] least like doing?

val: mowing the lawn. he hates getting sweaty and especially in semi-public

bede: the dishes. wet. ew. but also she doesn't like wearing the gloves because they're too housewifey. she would rather run the dishwasher twice than prewash anything

shoni: laundry. she has to haul all of her stuff to the laundromat (especially comforter & blanket weeks those are the worst). when she gets everything home the pile usually lives on her chair until next week. dont even get her started on stripping the sheets and making the bed

2. Does [x] have any abilities we'd consider magic? Are those normal for their species or culture?

noo they're all normal & living in normal world

3. What is [x]'s weapon of choice?

val: when ive thought about like putting them in fantasy type aus the only way i can imagine him fighting is with a yo-yo, like, in the way that they were originally weapons. or maybe a sling. it's so indirect & unmenacing its perfect for him

bede: she throws glasses at peoples heads sometimes. in a fantasy setting she would have a bowstaff and martial arts training to use it that looked Really Cool

shoni: i feel like its not out of the question for her to have a massive ren faire greatsword mounted on her wall. she seems like the kind of person to have one of those stories about confronting a burglar with excaliber

4. Does [x] have any specific memories involving food?

val: unfortunately i think watching anthony cut calories for wrestling was very formative for his little brother brain and contributed to his disordered eating. that and the whole catholic saints and asceticism and martyrdom thing and having a bad relationship with ulysses who was excessive in everything made starving yourself seem very noble to him

bede: reba connnstantly made comments about bede's weight and once when reba said something during dinner bede got up and took the car and brought back a box of dunkin' donuts into the dining room and aggressively took a big bite out of one in front of reba. vibes were downright acidic but ulysses thought it was funny

shoni: her first meal home with her familyyyyy after getting out of the hospital her mom cooked all her favorites and everyone ate together and it was very healing and sweet

5. What sort of underwear does [x] wear, if any?

val: boxers. you know in the highschool reunion episode of always sunny when the school bully tries to give charlie a wedgie and his underwear is so old it just disintegrates in his hands

bede: boyshorts. but in college THONGSSSS

shoni: panties (she likes striped ones with the little bow)

6. Does [x] like camping?

val: yes. i think he thrifts camping gear as he needs it but he loves the woods and he sleeps outside with some regularity (camping or otherwise)

bede: no. why would you want to sleep outside with the mosquitos

shoni: she would be happy to go with friends, but its probably not something she'd suggest

7. What is [x]'s one wish for the future of the world?

val: everyone be's nice to animals

bede: meritocracy rule. only people who think about things as much as she does should be in charge

reba and blair eventually go to therapy and repair their relationship. this is them 5 years after their main storyline :3

reba has a stable living situation by then so she dresses more normal. except for the cap with a bloodstain. no one knows why she still wears that. she also grows out her hair because she doesnt have to worry about anyone pulling it in a fight anymore. blair just gets a bit fatter and stops covering up xer scars (one of them is from when reba shot xem) (you see why they both had to go to therapy now)

I love it. I could not imagine a funnier result. Don't know what the fuck they'll do for Deer Bro and Baldr, but I really really REALLY hope Sharena gets something that ties her to both Peony and Henriette. Perhaps Sharena will be the first dancer for CYL? I doubt it, but one can dream. I feel they're just going to go with the "safe" Sothis Regalia attire for M!Byleth, but I'll be pleasantly surprised if they model him after Jeralt.

I'm fairly certain one of the reasons Heroes characters are doing well over others at this point is due to people who actually play mainline titles quitting the game. This trend would leave people who only know the franchise through Heroes, or those who's first introduction to the franchise was through Heroes and a lot of main characters from easily accessible titles are already in. This could also account for Three Houses still doing so well years later; people got introduced to 3H through Heroes and picked it up since they had a Switch or people picked up 3H as their first title then found out about Heroes. Whatever the case, it's likely CYL 10 will have at least one winner from Heroes and another winner from 3H. Unless a new Heroes OC that resonates with Heroes voters is introduced (either because thirsty or they genuinely like the character), I think Heroes voters might jump to Heroes Anna to complete the set or Freyja as she's still ranking highly.

I can't say for certain why Engage isn't doing well, but it's clear it's a combination of factors when even Reba Buhr campaigning for Ivy didn't work despite Mela Lee doing the same for adult Tiki in CYL 6 and Sam Slade helped boost Baldr's votes (although I think a lot of people were voting for Baldr anyway because she's pretty). Granted, Mela Lee's video for Tiki also came at a time when people were upset about adult Tiki getting zero representation. But this should be a similar case: people are upset about a lack of Engage representation, it's taken two years to get a decent amount of the cast in and some are still stuck as limited units (like Ivy herself being stuck not once but twice). I don't know exactly what it is, but it's more than just people quitting Heroes and vote splitting. Maybe the characters just didn't resonate with people? Maybe the game didn't sell well compared to other modern Fire Emblem titles so there's just less overlap between people who bought and played/finished Engage with Heroes players? There's likely more factors than that at play, but those two might be the main ones?

MY BABIES! THEY DID SO WELL!!! I'm going all in on Azura next year tbh. I love Sylvain, he's one of my absolute favorites, but I really want Azura to win.

I hope Tsubasa being Top 5 for women forces IntSys to see there's a clear and active fanbase for TMS that's still playing Heroes, but I think she's gonna need to pull off a win for that to happen. I really hope TMS voters will be able to go all in on her next year just to try and force her into the Top 3. Looking at Itsuki's votes, they can probably force a women's Top 2 for her if they all go all in on Tsubasa right at the start instead of swapping midway through.

It's interesting that Grima had more votes than Reinhardt, but seemingly does NOT count as a male. This implies IntSys might view Grima as female since F!Robin is seen as the "canon" vessel. We would need more data overall to 100% confirm that as it's also entirely possible IntSys views Grima as being genderless. Kinda want to see which side Grima would fall on if they clearly made the cut for Top 10 overall since it almost seems like they were excluded based on some sort of internal technicality.

Title: Rumor Has It

Summary: Haley can't believe that Aaron's dating someone, let alone dating her for six months. She wants to know why she hasn't met her yet, and confronts him, but what happens when she finds out something she wasn't expecting?

Characters: Aaron Hotchner, Haley Hotchner, (Ex-wife), OC female character. Jack Hotchner.

Authors note: So, this is another song fic. I heard this song and couldn't help but think of what would have happened if Aaron had dated someone else and Haley found out that he loved this new girlfriend of his. This is from the prospective of the new girlfriend and then Haley's at the end. I have no beta, so all spelling and grammar mistakes are mine, and I don't own Criminal minds or the lyrics to the Reba song at the end. Let me know what you think. Enjoy!

Warnings: None, mentions of cheating. *I know we technically don't know if Haley cheated on Aaron, but for this story, that's what I'm suggesting.

I'd been seeing Aaron for a few weeks now. He was funny and gorgeous, and once you got past the often cold expressions he wore, he had such a reserve of warmth under it. We'd met at a parent's night, my niece attending the same school as his son, Jack. I'd given him my number and gone on my way, and when he called, we started dating. 

I knew he'd been married before, he'd been very upfront about it. His ex-wife, Haley, was active with Jack, although I hadn't met her yet. Aaron said the time wasn't right, and we enjoyed each other's company when he wasn't gone on cases. 

I knew he was working late one night and went to drop by with dinner for him, Morgan being kind enough to let me in. I slowly approached Aaron's office, stopping only when I heard his voice and another one. I knew it had to be Haley's, simply by the frustrated tone in Aaron's voice. 

The office was mostly empty, and so no one noticed me as I heard Aaron and Haley speaking to each other. He was frustrated and she seemed upset almost. It was Haley's voice I heard first. "Why won't you let me meet her, Aaron? She's met Jack, she should meet me." 

I hear Aaron sigh, and I know he's making that face. His voice is tight, clipped. "Because it's not time, Haley. And it's none of your business anyway." He adds although I heard the quiet sound of frustration that leaves him when Haley says, "But it is, Aaron. She's around our son. I need to make sure she's a good person." 

Aaron's voice is sharp. "Do you have a problem with my judgment, Haley?" There's this silence between them, and I hear Haley say. "You know I don't, Aaron." Then his voice again, frustrated, angry almost. "You do if you're questioning Alice's character. She's wonderful, and she and Jack get along well. It's just not the right time for you two to meet." 

Haley's voice grows frustrated at that, "Oh, forgive me for questioning Alice's character." There is a sarcastic note to her tone, and I hear Aaron set down a file, I know he's angry now, I can hear it in his voice. "She's a good woman, Haley. She's kind and smart and she and Jack get along. Why are you pressing the issue? What's the real reason you want to meet her?" 

There's a silence, and Haley says, "No reason. I just thought it was time. How long have you been dating, Aaron, or is too hard to remember?" I hear the dig at him, knowing Haley hated the nights he was gone, the anniversaries he missed because of work, the old hurts from their divorce taking over the conversation again as they both aired old hurts and arguments. 

Aaron's voice is sharp as he says, "If you must know, Haley, we've been seeing each other for almost 6 months now." I can hear the surprise in Haley's tone, and if I could see her face, I imagine I'd see it on her face. "You've been seeing this woman for six months and don't think it's time for me to meet her?" I hear Aaron's angry tone, "No, I don't. And it's none of your business why, so don't ask." 

But she asks, and they go around and around again in more pointless arguing. I'm about to step away when I hear Haley say, a chuckle in her tone, her voice angry. "The only reason you'd be defending her like this is if you loved her, Aaron." There is this silence, and outside his office, my heart skips a beat. Aaron and I hadn't said those words to each other yet. 

I'd felt them, sure, but hadn't been brave enough to tell him how my heart skipped a beat every time I saw him, or how I enjoyed our movie nights with Jack. But it was there, in the texts I sent when he was gone on cases, in how I attended all of Jack's soccer games, his plays everything. I tune back in to hear Haley's shocked voice, surprise laced through her tone. "You can't possibly love her Aaron. No, it's not true." 

Aaron's silence speaks volumes. I know the expression he has on his face, and he says, in a tone that clearly says he does love me, "It's none of your business, Haley, so drop it. You said you left Jack with Garcia, and I'm gonna go fetch him." His tone is brisk, and cold as he speaks to hear. 

Haley's voice rings out with surprise and hurt as she says, "You do. You love her, already? How? Why?" Aaron doesn't answer her, except to tell her that it's none of her business who he loves anymore. "We're divorced, Haley. You've moved on, and now it's my turn. Let me be happy." 

I hear Haley's angry laugh. "Happy is one thing, Aaron, loving another woman a year after our divorce is another thing entirely." This is when I hear Aaron get angrier, if possible. "Did you think I'd sit and pine over you forever, Haley?" There's a silence that follows his question and I hear him scoff. "Fine, since you wanna know the truth, let me tell you the truth, Haley." 

I freeze, and my mind tells me to leave, to go away, that I shouldn't be standing here listening to this in the first place but I can't move my feet. Aaron's voice is sharp, frustrated, "Yes, I love her Haley. Alice makes me feel important. She listens to me and brings me dinner when I work late. She's kind and special and I'm grateful she's in my life." 

I hear some kind of noise leave Haley but Aaron continues, "She doesn't toy with my emotions and most of all," I hear Aaron's voice drop here, and something tells me this is a low blow, especially by the way Haley's breath catches. "She doesn't cheat on me, Haley." 

Silence reigns. Aaron never told me how it ended, but hearing that leave his lips made my heart break for him. It explained so many things, the way he'd always check in on me, the way he always tugged me closer when other men checked me out while we were on dates. He was afraid I'd do to him what Haley had done. 

Aaron speaks again, and his tone is no less angry or cold. "I love her, Haley. I love Alice, and I'd like to tell her before she meets you." Haley is silent, and when she speaks, I hear the anger in her tone. "First of all, Aaron, I could care less if you love her." Aaron scoffs, "You do if you're here asking me about it." 

There's more silence, and Haley's voice is angry. "Fine. Jack is with Garcia. I don't care about your little girlfriend, Aaron. This relationship of yours won't last long anyway, once Alice learns how little time you have for her." I hear her footsteps get closer to the door and I barely manage to hide as she leaves, going to get Jack for Aaron. 

I give him a few seconds to calm down before I walk over to his door, knocking softly. "Hey, Aaron, got a second for me?" I push it open, watching as he smiles softly at me. "For you? Always," He says, and I set the plate down and act like I didn't just hear him tell his ex-wife that he loved me. 

He thanks me for dinner and then pulls me into a hug, holding me against him. I don't question him, I just let him hold me. For several long seconds, we're both silent. "What's wrong?" I ask, deciding to see how much he'll tell me. I hear him sigh and feel how he tugs me closer, almost as if he's debating that very question in his mind. 

I expect him to brush me off, so it surprises me when he tells me what's wrong, his voice soft as he sort of explains his argument with Haley, leaving out the part where he mentions he loves me. I offer up what little advice I can think of, but mostly just let him ramble as he holds me. 

He pulls back to look down at me, his expression soft as he tucks a dark curl behind my ear. The words leave him so effortlessly, they still hit me with the same shock value as they had outside his door. "I love you," He whispers to me and my breath catches a moment, my soft eyes staring up at him, my heart beating wildly in my chest. 

"I love you too," I whisper, holding his gaze, searching his eyes, and finding the truth reflected as he looked at me. He leans in and kisses me, his lips soft and sweet against mine, as I melt in his arms, only parting from me as Jack runs in, his voice excited as he spots me. I hug him, not realizing Haley is outside the door. 

Outside Aaron's office, Haley watches with an ache in her heart as Aaron greets Alice when she walks in. She's pretty, she has to admit, with her honey-colored eyes and dark hair. She watches him hug her, and then he tells her. He tells her he loves her. She watches Alice's breath catch, as the two stare up at each other with love in their eyes before he kisses her. 

But it's the way he does it, cupping her face in his hands, holding her as if she's the most precious thing in the world to him, that breaks her heart, pieces shattering on the ground like a broken vase, sending Jack in to greet Aaron through the film of tears that form over her face. She watches Jack greet Alice, but can't do anything but feel her heartbreak. She thought Aaron would love her forever. But watching him profess his love to another woman makes her ache in a way she hadn't expected to feel a year out of their divorce. 

"Oh, Rumor has it. She has you. Rumor has it, you love her too. Oh, talk is cheap but the price is high when it's true. Oh, rumor has it, she has you."

reba’s one of two crime bosses of an infamous crime syndicate (called the east coast disasters, but that’s a working title and subject to change). she grew up with two older siblings, a new stepfather every other week, and the most volatile mother ever. she ran off on her thirteenth birthday, leading to a screaming match between the rest of her family, a plot-important shattered vase, and her other siblings also running away. one of the aformentioned siblings is the other crime boss. the other sibling is a police officer. you can see where things get murky huh.
