The fucking symbolism of Elliot seeing the rabbit(Bunny) in the hallway and how Elliot was gonna follow her(die) until he heard Olivias voice and looked to the other side to find her. And upon hearing her more clearly, all the lights turned off until the only way visible was the exit leading to Olivia(life).

Olivia metaphorically(or literally) stopped Elliot from following Bunny to the afterlife.

How Christopher wrote that Olivia didn't need to beg him to come back in the real world but it was her subconsciously still being his guiding light back anyway just by saying his name and saying shes there. Because Olivia doesn't need to beg to get Elliot to follow her.

He only had to hear her voice and he wasn't able to leave.

much to unpack but one small thing i adore is THIS being olivia’s reaction to a fresh-out-of-a-coma elliot clawing himself out of a hospital bed to run back towards danger so he can rescue a young girl…exasperated and knowing and so so fond and maybe a bit relieved. as in of course, as in this is the person i fell in love with, as in after all these years and all this time he is still the person i fell in love with
