So I finally finished Nym’s feral demon form. She’s the granddaughter of Graz’zt with a spark of divinity from Eilistraee and some Bhaalspawn essence mixed in.
Which is what happens when she has an abyssal cambion mother who slept with a Bhaalspawn and stole some of his er, essence and recycled it into herself and then later chose to get knocked up by a divine soul sorcerer drow of Eilistraee.
Long story short is it makes for an interesting kid with internal forces that doesn’t play nice with each other. The abyssal forces got enhanced by the Bhaalspawn essence and so when she’s really pissed off or at the edges of death, instead of a slayer form, she has this.
She’s normally 5’0” in height but gains 9 inches in her transformation. The transformation is incredibly painful each time. She regrows her wings (she cuts them off frequently), her legs snap and bend to become digitigrade, she grows an extra finger, her tail extends longer, and obviously her face becomes canine/gator like.
Her body is full of venom with different functions; bite causes neurosis, claws cause necrotic, and tail causes paralyses (which is the worst one to be hit with because then that means she’s planning on extending your suffering).
She’s basically completely feral in mind, just wants to hunt and kill in this form and speech isn’t possible (yet).
While she did do some serial killings as Durge, she really leaned into Gortash’s plan to stoke fear in the city folk, so she’d often let loose in the city in this form to cause panic and terror and then disappear into thin air each time.
When she’s hunting, she makes a sound that’s like a cross between her natural laugh, a coyote cackle, and fox chatter. She can also make a trilling sound like the dilophosaurus in Jurassic Park.
At some point she’s going to make a deal with Raphael because he promised her he could help her control her form and she’s tired of not having control of it (can’t recognize friend from foe).
Raphael sees so much potential in her (plus him canonically being into Tav/Durge). Sure she’s of demonic descent and he’s of devil, but that’s why her allegiance would be all the sweeter. They knew each other before her memory loss too (which will be a separate post) and here’s a snippet of his thoughts on her:
“He could see her soul; touched by two gods and the Abyss itself. Light and darkness and chaos. He wondered if this is what it would have been like to witness the primordial process of creation. Perhaps this is why he sensed so much potential in her. She just needed a steady hand to guide her in the right direction.”
At some point, if I have the gumption for it, I’ll try and draw his ascended form next to her feral form. We’ll see, he’s so pointy, lol.

So I have an entirely indulgent headcanon that my main Tav/Durge, Nym, ends up accidentally getting knocked up by Haarlep during their encounter and now she has a cambion son that looks like Raphael’s kid that she and Astarion raise in the newly renovated Cazador manor.
Haarlep didn’t intend to knock her up and my explanation is Nym is the daughter of an abyssal cambion herself and the great granddaughter of Graz’zt, the demon prince of pleasure, decadence, and unlimited self indulgence, as well as the patron of corrupt authorities and tyrants. So basically her biology as a descendant of the abyssal forces meant shenanigans happen around other incubi/succubi that would have to be taken into account but Haarlep didn’t know and she didn’t know that that would happen.
She’s super pissed about being knocked up (can’t have any consequence relatively free fun it seems) but she actually likes kids and is a protective mom. She has a really weird love-hate relationship with Raphael already (that I’ll probably go over in a future post) and this just complicates things even further.
Her weird biology is also the reason she survives the birth because I say so.
Kid actually turns out pretty ok given his circumstances. He’s probably teetering on the chaotic good/neutral end of things. She and Astarion are the ones who actually raise him ‘cuz I can’t see Haarlep caring all that much; random offspring are probably par for the course with devils, especially incubi and succubi.
Nym has an extreme hatred of her mother and complicated feelings around her own heritage so she’d be super protective over her son and not wanting any of that nonsense to affect him.
Doesn’t stop her from visiting Raphael (and Haarlep) frequently because again, a messy and complicated relationship and situation.
I headcanon his ears are bit longer than shown in the pic (though not as long as hers) and he has his mother’s floof tipped tail with hidden stinger. Does not get her cloven hooves though. Nym had been born with wings so he definitely gets wings too.
Astarion makes for a pretty good, if at times overly indulgent and chaotic, dad.

He’s so freaking big in his cambion form. I’ll probably get better lighted pics later. I remember in EA wondering if Larian was going to add any kind of special tip to the end of the tail since he lacks the tief barbs and the answer is a resounding no. I know the new Haarlep animation shows it better but I do find it funny and kinda like that Raphael’s tail is just a noodle, lol.

Nym’s old hair is gone (alas), so have to improvise. She’s still cute though. She’s technically not finished in terms of modding (her tail tip floof and her hooves) but did add the gradient color mod for her arms and it looks good.

I have 15 Tav/Durge’s and 4 of them are tieflings (which is funny, feels like more), so wanna show them off.
Nym is my main Tav/Durge, and she is a Durge now. She’s an abyssal tiefling and granddaughter of Graz’zt. Wild magic sorcerer/bard and is like if Laura Palmer were in FR (she’s pretty tormented). Has a tail tip floof (and hidden stinger), also has hooves like a deer.
Trinket is a Tav and a feylock bard and is only a tiefling because her mom accidentally made a deal with a night hag who wanted to get back at Trinket’s father, an archfey (and her patron). She is a con artist who works at a traveling carnival. Can charm a miser out of his last coin. Has a tail tip floof.
Beatrix Wilhelmina Faust is a Tav and is a wild magic sorcerer/necromancer. She and her father works for Mephistopheles by finding and archiving valuable tomes and artifacts to be sent to the vault in Cania. They have an antique shop in BG. She is an introvert nerd to the extreme. She wants to go back indoors please and thank you.
Cillian Baker is a Tav and is also a feylock bard. He’s basically a sad rocker type. Became a bard for the game with Oberon’s help but now that he’s getting older, wants to settle down. Was originally made as Nym’s ex but became his own character. I always imagine Kamelot songs for him style of music.
All of them are disasters with a thing for Astarion and Raphael because I’m predictable. Trinket also has a thing with Karlach. Cillian is probably the least risk adverse and will probably try and resist Raphael’s charms the most, lol.

Wrote this in a sleep addled state this morning from Raphael’s initial perspection on my girl, Nym
“He could see her soul; touched by two gods and the abyss itself. Light and darkness and chaos. He wondered if this is what it would have been like to witness the primordial process of creation. Perhaps this is why he sensed so much potential in her. She just needed a steady hand to guide her in the right direction.”
Nym is the great granddaughter of Graz’zt, the daughter of drow who was a divine soul sorcerer of Eilistraee, and because of her succubus cambion mama’s shenanigans the “daughter” of Bhaal.
So Nym has basically three parentages; father is touched with divinity, mother is a daughter of the Abyss, and then also has a “father” through Bhaal.
I headcanon that succubi/incubi steal sperm from their targets and then their essence fuses and corrupts it when spent on a mortal, essentially. Since they’re originally abyssal creatures (even if most switched sides to the infernal), I can see the chaos of that being an abyssal trait, which naturally is a funky eldritch primordial thing in of itself that’s constantly spitting out new nightmares.

Hello! For the not-nice OC ask, hunt, nightmare, and torture? For any OC you wish to talk about 🧐
Thanks, will once again do it for Nym. 💖
Once again putting this below a cut for triggering things: past child abuse, past CSA, drug use, and torture.
hunt: Who or what is your OC hunted by? A person, a feeling, a past mistake? Is your OC able to let their guard down, or are they constantly alert?
Nym is hunted by Orin, the cult, her mother (in a sense), and herself. She is always alert, even when she sleeps.
I headcanon that not only is she a light sleeper, she very rarely ever feels safe enough to put her guard around others while she sleeps. You touch her and she’s already got a knife or her stinger aimed at you. The poor companions have to wake her from a distance if they don’t want to accidentally be shanked. She may have paralyzed one of them accidentally before (sorry Gale).
Years of always living on the edge, because she never knew when was someone would try and take her out, left her with a pretty engrained instinct that it’s kill or be killed.
It takes awhile for Astarion (and Raphael) to be able to touch her while she sleeps without her instantly reacting, it’s pure instinct on her part.
Also she sleeps in a fetal position on her stomach. She’s tight as a ball, as if to protect her vitals and conserve heat (which is what she’s doing).
But Nym never feels safe and she has to worry about losing control of her demonic/bhaalspawn side if she’s not constantly vigilant.
nightmare: What does your OC have nightmares about? How do they deal with their nightmares? Do they tell people, or keep it to themself?
As both a bhaalspawn and just a trauma victim, she has nightmares all the time. Nightmares of her father’s death, of her time imprisoned in the dark after his death, of the people she’s killed, and of dreaming of the people she cares about dying by her hand.
She never tells anyone anything. She’s tighter than a clam and how she deals with her nightmares is by not sleeping, getting high, and/or ONS. After meeting Raphael (about a year before the game) she often visits the DD to play lanceboard with him or just not be alone. Ironically he’s the one person she felt somewhat safe with, he’s still a danger but she knew he had no plans to shank her at least and she could always sense his infernal nature so she didn’t have to worry about him being secretly Orin or a changeling.
torture: Has your OC ever been tortured? Would your OC ever torture someone else?
Oh, many times. First time was when her father died; goblins had cut off her wings in front of him before he broke free and managed to flee with her (but he succumbed to his own wounds). Then when the noble bought her from the debt collector, he kept her in hidden isolation below his estate and sexually abused her before she escaped and murdered him. Once the cult of Bhaal found her (her murders of the noble and his estate is how they found her), they quickly brought her into the fold.
She often had fight other cultists in rituals and was often pitted against Orin and the white dragonborn Durge created by Bhaal (she’s Durge too but her birth was more complicated). Her butler encouraged her rage and taught her how to torture other through various methods, although her abyssal heritage simmering underneath gave her an innate skill in it already.
She and Orin had a temporary truce shortly before the events of the game where they tortured and killed the white dragonborn Durge, but of course Orin eventually gets the jump on her as well. Canonically Orin tortured her and put a tadpole in her, and then Kressa Bonedaughter found her and experimented on her for who knows how long right before the start of the game.
Honestly Nym has been tortured so much in her life that it’s very ineffective on her. Her pain tolerance is obscenely high and it gets to a point mentally for her where she stops caring about the pain and will fight to the death if she has too. I call it “going feral” for her, she’s about as conscious of herself as a rabid animal.

4. What would your Dark Urge consider to be their greatest flaw? Is this accurate?
5.What opinion does your Dark Urge have about the Go
6. How does your Dark Urge react to waking up with memory loss?
Thanks! Starting with Nym.
4. Her temper and forever burning rage she feels that she tries to keep suppressed but is always simmering underneath the surface. I’d say yes and no to accuracy, it’s a pretty big flaw but I think her greatest flaw is she has a hard time dealing with the grey inside of herself. She sees her own failings as very black and white and struggles with the idea that it’s ok to not be perfect morally.
She doesn’t see herself as redeemable and believes her bio-father (the Bhaal essence is an added feature during conception) would be ashamed of her were he still alive (he wouldn’t be, he was a drow, he understood struggling against a fucked up environment).
5. Oh boy, very complicated. She kinda loathes them but her father was a devout follower of Eilistraee and he passed on his divine spark to her (which doesn’t play well with the abyssal/Bhaal side).
She can feel Eilistraee’s presence within her but at the same time she’s so so bitter and angry and feels abandonment that Eilistraee didn’t help her when she had been kidnapped and tortured for years in a noble’s basement after her father died when she was a child.
It was her cambion mother’s influence that had rescued her (I’m going with power up puberty with her abyssal side, first time she transformed) and she’s so bitter about it because she hates her mother.
She hates Bhaal too just on principle. Like, the cult found her after she escaped her captivity but she hates that she became a willing monster for him.
She hates that the gods play with mortals like they’re toys and she hates that they often have no choice but to play along.
Her close connection to her father is the only reason she still tries to practice her faith (in secret), because he must have found the purpose, right?
6. Lol, pissed off and frustrated. She hasn’t lost all her memories, she remembers the point of when she escaped the noble at 14 and everything back from there (her memories are important to her characterization) but the cult stuff and everything she’s been up to since is a mystery, other than some snippets here and there.
She can sense that she’s not normal, and she’s aware she’s got a beast inside her, but there’s an ominous dread at not remembering what she’s been up to in the meantime. It haunts the back of her mind and has her on edge.
And now for Casira:
4. That she’s spiritually weak. Since Selûne has swept in to take advantage of her memory loss, Casira feels all those dark urges but has the mentality of a Selûne cleric, so is in a constant state of “wtf is wrong with me”.
The loss of control of her body just makes her think she’s got weak willpower, if she tried harder, she could control herself.
Is it her greatest flaw? Nope, it’s low self esteem and low confidence in herself. It’s not her fault she’s got a freaky nasty father-god that’s constantly trying to take her over for gross shenanigans. But she doesn’t have any confidence in herself and that doesn’t help her predicament.
5. That little leftover influence in her body of Selûne from her previous life (new soul though) really messed up Bhaal’s plans and she is a devout follower of the Lady of Silver. Even before the memory loss she felt drawn to Selûne and secretly prayed to her for guidance (a light to help those lost in the dark).
Unlike Nym, I don’t think she bucks at the idea of gods playing with mortals. She sees Selûne and a few other gods as genuinely benevolent and she understands why people follow gods, both good and bad. She just wants peace in herself.
6. Scared, confused, and worried. She’s afraid of why she’s got all these violent urges and is extra concerned that she seems to be the only tadpole inflicted with them. These aren’t normal feelings for a cleric of Selûne to be feeling (Selûne really just drops the manual on her with no explanation, lol).
#bg3#bg3 durge#ask meme#oc: nym the drow’ri#oc: nym the abyssal tiefling#oc: casira#honestly in casira’s case both selûne and bhaal are acting like divorced parents fighting for who gets the kid

Alone, Betrayal, Bound! For the Oc Ask!
Thanks! Once again for my babygirl, Nym. And once again putting it below the cut for all the triggering content, namely past child abuse, past CSA, torture, suicidal ideations, and bloody vengeance.
I already did alone here! 💖
betrayal: Has your OC ever been betrayed by someone they thought they could trust? Has your OC ever betrayed someone who trusted them?
Everyone who has betrayed Nym she kind of already expected to betray her (like Orin). Her own mother would probably be the closest though. Her mother is an abyssal cambion and the daughter of the demon lord Graz’zt and she’s as cruel and capricious as you’d expect her to be.
She only had Nym out of curiosity (what happens if she mixes in the Bhaalspawn essence she obtained with her own abyssal genes and the genes of a divine soul sorcerer of Eilistraee; answer is a fucked up kid constantly tortured from the inside is what), and she had plenty of opportunities to save Nym from her torment but chose not to, which is why Nym loathes her.
Nym has betrayed many people herself, though I wouldn’t say they trusted her either (like white dragonborn Durge whom she and Orin teamed up to shank).
The closest sense of betrayal she felt she has committed is towards someone is towards Raphael actually. They had a complicated relationship before the events of the game (not yet sexual) and while she didn’t see him as a friend exactly, he was the closest source of safety and confidante she’s had in years. She was hyper aware he just wanted her soul (he wasn’t obsessed yet, she was just a juicy soul possibility), but they had a year long, drawn out, almost camaraderie? Not really a word for it.
The reason why she feels she betrayed him is because she used his home with Gortash to go steal the crown. She had come to him right before the heist, planning on telling him, but her butler appeared before she could confess and instead she told him goodbye (but in that double meaning/something is up way). He and she had had a bit of a tiff the week before so he had thought it had been tied to that as the reason for her odd behavior.
He was obviously pissed but she disappeared shortly after and he didn’t see her again until the events of the game. He was both delighted and annoyed that had amnesia because he could use it to his advantage (which he does) by knowing her pretty intimately but she now knows nothing of him, and annoyed because he had enjoyed their games and discussions from before and her knowing him could have still been an advantage for the crown.
He is still angry that she had invaded his home (she had left a note of regret) so he does get sadistic pleasure driving her mad with that frustrating magnetic pull she feels towards him from her subconscious and that he’s able to read her so well. But now he’s obsessed as well, lol.
Poor Nym got ambushed by Orin in the colony but the only reason she succeeded was because Nym had been distracted by her regret over losing her weird ass relationship with Raphael. Again, they weren’t friends, she knew he just wanted her soul, but he was the closest thing she had to a place she could drop her mask and just be. He assuaged her deep loneliness and was a possible way “out”.
bound: Has your OC ever been imprisoned or captured? What happened? How did they get out? Did the experience leave any scars?
Yes, three times now. First time was when her father and her were traveling and got ambushed by goblins not far out of BG. They held her down and cut off her wings. Her father broke free and got them away back to the city but he had been wounded and shortly died after. Second time was immediately after his death when his debt collector sold her to a sadistic noble. The noble kept her for 4 years hidden below his estate in an underground room/cell.
There was one guard assigned to bring her food and by this point she was 14 and unfortunately now aware how seduction worked. She has a hidden stinger in her tail that produces a paralytic venom that became potent enough after puberty, and she lured him in before stabbing him in the neck with it.
She watched him choke to death as the venom paralyzed his lungs. It was here where all the years of trauma and rage coalesced as her Bhaalspawn nature fully amplified her demonic heritage (her wings grew back for the first time here) and she murders the entire estate, who was ignorant of her existence until that evening. She saved the noble for last and had a real Blue Fangs from Castlevania moment as he hid in his study as she came for him. His death was not pretty.
She absolutely has scars both physical and mental. This is when her mother first came to her and when she realized her mother could have stepped in at any time (and why she makes a habit of cutting off her wings as symbolic of her mother).
The cult of Bhaal found her through this carnage and manipulated her rage and bloodlust to serve the cult and it isn’t until over a decade later that she starts to burn out and remembers her father’s faith (Eilistraee) and how she’s got a bit of that good divine spark in her (which does cause her constant pain on some level, since it doesn’t play nice with her abyssal and Bhaal essence).
The experience is also why she has such a complicated relationship to sex but also how seduction then murder became a tactic for her, which the cult encouraged.
The second time is canonically the events of the game with the Orin ambush and Kressa Bonedaughter stuff.

To prepare for the release of Baldur’s Gate 3, here are all my EA ocs.
Nymurra Auvry’val - Drow’ri sorcerer/bard, she/her, age 26, romancing Astarion (and maybe Gale or Karlach).
Tilla - Half-elf cleric of Umberlee/aberrant sorcerer, she/her, age 23, romancing Astarion.
Jen - Half-drow barbarian/draconic sorcerer, he/him, age 37, romancing Astarion and SH.
Cillian Baker - Tiefling bard/fey warlock, he/him, age 35, romancing Astarion.
Ellywick Glitterfoot - Drow (but raised by gnomes) sorcerer, she/her, age 25, romancing Astarion.
Lavinia - Half-elf draconic sorcerer, she/her, age 25, romancing Astarion.
Whisp - Half-elf (but feylost) sorcerer, she/they, age 200+ but looks 20’s, romancing Astarion.
Mica Nylla Knackle - Deep gnome bard, she/her, age 24, romancing Astarion. (She’s @int9 Carnelian’s niece).
Victyrr - Half-drow gloom stalker, he/him, age 27, romancing Astarion. (He’s still new and I’m still developing him).
Little facts of each.
Nym loses control of her demonic blood rage when she’s pushed to her limits, struggles with wanting to be good but has a lot of rage.
Tilla was an acolyte of Umberlee but discovered an aboleth deep beneath the temple. It tried to use her to escape but died and an echo of it fused with her mind, changing her forever.
Jen was 13 when he was told by a prophecy that he would have to sacrifice himself to save the world. He ran away and got picked up by raiders where he’s tried to run from his date as a hero.
Cillian wanted to be a famous bard and made a pact with the feylord Oberon. Now he’s getting tired and is trying to escape the pact.
Ellywick was found abandoned in the underdark by a deep gnome from Baldur’s Gate making a mining expedition. He and his wife raised her on the surface and now she’s a well known cartographer of the underdark, paid to map it out for surface expeditions.
Lavinia is the daughter of cultists that worship a dracolich and was married to him as his next bride. There’s lore in the cult that the bride reincarnates every 100 years to be married and devoured by him. She managed to escape but he’s still hunting for her.
Whisp was kidnapped as a child by a member of the unseelie court and made a toy for them. She spent 200 years trapped and then one day found herself back in the MP, changed from her experience.
Mica is the daughter of deep gnome scholars of the Society of Brilliance who were studying a myconid colony and the spores when her mother was pregnant gave her some of their abilities.
Victyrr I’m still figuring out but I think one parent was an asmr race (can never spell it).

Nym’s old face isn’t in existence anymore so I had to change presets but this one still works after a few tweaks on FaceApp. The ears are now accurate though, long and pointy.
Anyway I’ve got a poly thing going on with her, Astarion, and another oc I created. His name is Cillian and he’s an archfey warlock and also her ex.
In her story he goes looking for her after she was abducted (they broke up awhile ago but he’s still carrying her torch and they were at least still close friends). By the time he’s found her she’s already got the beginnings of something with Astarion (after the tief party) but she and he still have a very close bond.
It’s here where Astarion is the one going “oh no” since Nym is the main reason he’s kept safe in the group and less likely to cast him out, so it’s in his best interest (as of now) to stay in her good graces as he believes it. So he goes out of his way to invite Cillian into the dynamic as a form of protection. By the end of course, depending on how the game goes, they all end up together.
I changed Nym’s class as a multi-class with divine soul sorcerer (her szarkai drow father was one blessed by Eilistraee) and glamour bard. Cillian is multi-class archfey warlock and glamour bard.
I think it’ll be an interesting dynamic to explore. Cillian’s got a bit of an aging rocker vibe to him, a bit lost since his goals in life have shifted but he’s stuck in an archfey pack and has feelings of being unable to live up to expectations. Nym’s got perfectionism issues and idealizing certain people while being extremely critical of herself (not to mention unresolved childhood trauma). And then Astarion of course has his own traumas, identity struggles, feelings of agency, and trust issues that he has to deal with. So I think they could all learn different things about themselves thanks to the other two and how to overcome.
Extra tidbits; Cillian is a Zariel tief and helped teach Nym some infernal while she as a drow’ri taught him some abyssal.
His mother is a half elf baker and he has a human step dad and two half sisters. His biological father was a rake and left town as soon as his mother became pregnant.
Nym’s dad was an escaped from Lolth’s society szarkai and her mother is a half-fiend (other half drow). After her father died and after she escaped her captivity by a sleazy noble, she was raised in her father’s old tiny Eilistraee community in Baldur’s Gate.
Cillian is also a native to Baldur’s Gate.
Astarion has absolutely seen some of their bardic performances in the taverns he hunted at for Cazador.
