Blake and Alexis have the same birthday . Blake was born before a sandstorm swept across Isle, and Nomeus was able to take him to a small cave so they could wait it out. While it was still ongoing, Nomeus heard the chime of another star landing so he went into the storm by himself to pick up the new moth— Alexis— and the three of them wait for the end of the storm together

The Isle of Dawn is the birthplace of the Children of Light and is normally quiet and peaceful. It is the realm with the most gentle and ancient light, the ideal place for a fallen star to learn life and begin their journey. However, no realm is perfect. Every few hundred years or so a strong sandstorm bellows across the dunes. They are difficult to traverse, with the high winds whipping at you and the sand cutting across your skin, so Sky Children avoid the deserts when they hear that a storm is about to break.

Unfortunately the stars continue to fall regardless of the state of the world, and so the first thing Nomeus ever learned was how to survive on their own.
