(He has heard that name, and they work together frequently. Macha is often on call for him when he needs her to. He values that she's fast, discreet, and efficient. The picture shows them at the Afterlife meeting room for a briefing.)

I like her because she knows her limits. She's not afraid to turn down a job and recommend someone else better suited. I appreciate that. We go for drinks sometimes, just to wind down and talk about NC life as a woman.

Dino Dinovic:

Oh, yes, she was very adamant and convincing about that job at the Atlantic, I recall. I don't know why she wanted that one so badly, it wasn't a runers job per se but she can be convincing like that. She and Vinnie seemed to make a good pair in this.

Wakako Okada:

Yes, Macha is a very good runner, very good. Reliable, goal oriented, discreet. I did not introduce her to Vinnie on a whim. I had my reasons. But you surely don't need to know all of them. They work very well as a duo. That is all you need to know.

so as a kid, like maybe 4th grade maybe 3rd), i had The Urge to read every book in the kids’ section as long as it sounded interesting and wasn’t, like, an actual book aimed at children (ie, full of pictures with no writing, or only 15 pages long, etc). i did actually accomplish this goal but it wasn’t anything special.

i did read all of the wynne jones books that my library had but they left literally no impact on me outside of howl’s moving castle, and not even the sequel, just the original first book. i’m so sorry ma’am. i just literally do not recall anything that happened in any of the other series you wrote.

the fantasy series i read from garth nix is one that i’m not entirely certain is Actually fantasy but i can never remember the fucking name of it. it’s got like. a lot going on. it involves the rainbow, and crystals in towers, and at one point the protag gets banished to the outdoors where it’s snowing and Ice Age all the time and he gets a girlboss girlfriend who can kick his ass any & every time she wants. i think that was the awakening for what i like in m/f ships lmfao

after that i read abhorsen. good shit.

i came across tamora pierce in 4th grade (Circle of Magic) and was ruined for life. she set the bar for female protags for me for a loooooooooong fucking time. but i didn’t actively pursue reading the rest of her books until i was a bit older (~11yo, because that’s how long it took me to get to P in the alphabet). so she’s had the longest lasting impact. a lot of how i structure my own fantasy OCs/worlds is stolen from her. thanks ma’am i owe you my life

i don’t think i’ve read a single mercedes lackey book and if i have i have absolutely no recollection of it. zero impact. like i have an anthology by her but the story she wrote for it was so boring i don’t even remember which one it is out of all of them. sorry...

why i chose my url: I was looking for a name change for various reasons and one of my first OCs was named after the goddess Mnemosyne.  Dragon came from my old user name.  It just kind of stuck after that. 

how many people are you following: 104, apparently?  Most of those are probably deactivated.  I keep a pretty small dash, which is why I don’t put much stock in ‘mutals’ and all that.  Odds are if I’m familiar with your url, I consider Friend.  And there are some discord people I never could figure out their tumblr names, but also friend.

how many followers do you have: 500-ish?  *shrugs*  Not a lot, compared to some.  I don’t really put forth much effort to attract more though.

average hours of sleep: We’re... just going to leave this question here.

dream trip: I had a trip planned to Japan at one point, that got nixed in favor of helping a friend.  I don’t regret helping that friend, but I do need to have another attempt at some point.  I also had a trip planned to Taiwan before Corvid, but that fell through.  A trip to Ireland and back to the Netherlands would be nice at some point too, and Alaska is the only state I’ve yet to go to.

fave food: Chocolate.  I’m also terribly fond of lychees and apples. 

top three fictional universe you’d like to live in: I never really got into the games, but I did watch the anime.  So odd as it sounds, the Pokemon universe seems really chill, tbh.  Who needs a job when you can just go out and raise pokemon?  The Catwings universe would also be nice, since ya know, cats with wings.  Star Trek society also seems nice enough, so long as I like, stayed on Earth or what not.

last movielast stream: Streams are...  well, dependent on my vpn.  I don’t bother most of the time.  Though I was going through that guy who does the old recipes tiktoks because I finally realized he had a Bermuda Flag in the background and that Explained So Much.  Like, I Understood why he was like that instantly.  XD

currently reading: I’m reading https://www.novelupdates.com/series/exclusive-rights-to-an-online-voice-actor/ that book right now.  Which is really not my normal genre, since I tend to get bored with slice of life, but really, it’s just... so good?  The romance is super soft and gentle and I sobbed through several chapters that were just way too relatable.  The tags don’t warn for the animal abuse, which was....  really difficult to read through (it’s not done by either of the MC’s and you get to follow the progress of the kitties getting better because the love interest is the vet and the MC is a reporter who wanted to help them get adopted, which was their second meeting (there’s identity porn and it’s glorious), but if you can get through that I do recommend it.  Shen Yan is the fluffiest goose and MC is super relatable.  I’ve also been rereading GUEE, which everyone should read, but at least now Nar is attempting it and my rec was heard by @xcziel so some people are reading it now.  But holy fuck do I still have So Many Feels about the computer recycle bin again.  They never went away, but this time I was nearly crying at like, the half-way point and not even at the ending and I just...  Have A Lot of Feels.  The computer recycle bin needs hugs and I’m not okay.

currently watching: Not really watching anything at the moment, to be honest.  Was gaming, but my chair died, so now I’m reading

what is antipoetry to you: It’s an anti-poem, apparently?  Yeah, not getting much.  I’ll read poetry from time to time but I’m not super into it or anti-poetry either I guess.  My taste in poetry is similar to my taste in music in being extremely eclectic and random.

currently craving: A new chair.  Not having a chair sucks.  This apartment is too small and gaming from my bed is difficult since there’s no proper way to sit.  In terms of food, chocolate, I suppose?  Maybe pizza.  I might order pizza tonight.

The town of Riverdale was anything but quiet, but that didn’t stop Ellie from trying to have a low key night in with her boyfriend, Sweet Pea. With all of the craziness that had gone on over the last year- crazy serial killers, murderous games, and so much drama the Kardashians would have problems dealing with- it just felt like time for one calm night.

She had set her living room up for a movie night, snacks on the table and a stack of films she and Sweets has been talking about watching for ages, but she had a feeling it wouldn’t last long. More often than not, Pea’s Serpent duties interrupted their time together, taking him to different jobs and dangerous situations. She understood, he made an oath after all, but that didn’t mean she was okay with it happening all the time.

Ellie was a Serpent by blood- the family 3 generations deep in the gang. Because of that, she got the protection, the help, the family the gang provided- even though her mother would rather her not have a connection to them. She always worried about her daughter getting involved in the gang but, after all that had happened with the Black Hood and what was still going on with the Gargoyle King, she knew it was safest for her daughter to be entangled with them, especially when her job was dragging her away most weekends. Her father had been killed a while back, doing a job for FP, long before she or any of the other young Serpents got involved.

Ellie was just finishing setting up the room when she heard the door being unlocked, a faint smile finding its way onto her lips. There were three people with keys to that door and since she was home and her mother was in New York for the weekend, she knew it was tall, dark-haired, brooding boy she called her boyfriend. “Hey babe,” she smiled at him from where she was, lighting the last of the candles under the television. He shrugged off his worn leather jacket, tossing it on top of the railing before making his way over to her. Pea snaked his arms around her waist, peppering a few kisses along her neck before nibbling on her earlobe slightly, making her moan slightly. He knew just how to mess with her, and he loved doing it.

“I’ve been working on a job all week for Jones and that’s all you have to say? ‘Hey babe’?” He mocked, placing his hands on her waist and spinning her around to face him.

“Hey, Sweets,” Ellie rolled her eyes, getting on her toes to give him a long, feverish kiss. Two could play at this game. His hands tightened on her waist as he pulled her into him, closing any gap there was. She pulled away before things could get any further, making the tall boy groan deeply, a soft laugh leaving her lips.  “How’d the job go?” Instead of speaking, she got a grunt in reply as he fiddled with her shirt. “That bad, huh?”

“You can’t just start something like that-” He spoke after a moment of silence, making her laugh again.

“Well if you’re good, we can continue this later, upstairs.” Ellie slipped past him, taking a seat on the couch. He watched as she opened a box of pizza, pulling out a slice and taking a bite before he decided to sit next to her. He took his sweet time grabbing his own piece, watching as she took a bite of hers before speaking, ready to mess with her again.

“What about that couch sex you promised me?” Ellie choked on her food, making her boyfriend laugh wickedly.

“Asshole-” She slapped his shoulder, making him laugh harder.

“What? No one’s here!”

“Someone’s going to show up-”

“What? Scared of getting caught? That didn’t stop you the other day in the locker room during gym-” Ellie’s face heated up as she tried to figure out what to say. She was never this type of girl- the kind to want to do it anywhere and at any time- but something about Sweet Pea just brought it out in her. She shot him a warning look, one he knew all too well, and he let out a sigh, deciding it best not to argue with her.

His arm lazily landed on her shoulder, the couple eating their pizza in a comfortable silence. When they were finished, Sweet Pea cleaned up the remains while Ellie popped in their first movie, the old war movie coming onto the screen. They both settled back onto the couch, Ellie cuddling into Sweets’ side before pressing play.

They were probably a minute into the film when there was a loud knock on the door, Ellie letting out a loud groan as she stood up. Throwing open the door, her eyes landed on her purple-haired best friend Nixie and her boyfriend, the Serpent king Jughead.

“What do you want?”

“Oh come on El, can’t we just come over to hang out?” Nix laughed, pushing past Ellie with a smirk, Jughead offering her an apologetic smile as she let him in.

“I know you have an agenda, Nix. It’s a Saturday night and usually, you and Jones are preoccupied while FP’s at the Wyrm.” Ellie placed herself on Sweets’ lap, watching the other couple.

Nixie took a seat in one of the armchairs, Jug leaning on the side of it. “What do you guys want? We were kinda busy-“ Pea wrapped his arms around Ellie’s waist, making her smile slightly. Jughead cast one glance at the television, stifling a laugh.

“Sure. Watching Apocalypse Now. Spoiler alert, everyone dies.”

“Seriously guys, what’s up?”

“Serpent initiation at the Wyrm in an hour.” Jones crosses his arms, making Ellie and Sweet Pea groan.

“And you couldn’t have called?” Pea asked.

“Of course we could have, but I wanted to come by to help Ellie pick out an outfit for her dance,” Nixie smirked. The dance- something women had to do to be initiated into the gang- had been a topic of Ellie and Nixie’s conversations over the last month or so. Nixie tried to convince Ellie to do it, to become a member of the gang like she had, but El didn’t want to do the dance. She had debated it for a few months, especially after she and Sweets got serious, but she was blood. She didn’t have to go through it.

“I already told you I’m not doing the dance.”

“Oh come on, miss priss-“

“Nix, stop. I’m a serpent by blood. I don’t have to do the damn dance.” Ellie felt Sweet Pea’s arms tighten around her waist.

“Well, you haven’t made any steps towards getting your tattoo either-“

“Because my mom would kill me if I got it before I turned 18. You know this Nixie. You’ve heard her Serpent rants.”

“Look, I did it. I seriously think you should too-“ Nixie smiled at her best friend.

Nixie, like Ellie, was a serpent by blood, her father having been the serpent king before FP. She, however, jumped into the gang head first, doing the dance and earning her skin. She and Jughead were the perfect leaders of the Serpents, the queen to his king.

She wanted nothing more than for her best friend to do the dance, to earn her place and her skin. Sure, the practice was extremely sexist and outdated, but she felt it was worth it.

“Seriously El, it’s 5 minutes on stage and you’re done-“

“It’s really not that big of a deal, Ellie.” Jug offered her a reassuring smile. Ellie let out a groan, looking over to Sweet Pea, hoping he would say something. She hated this argument.

“I’m going to go with Nix and Jones on this one, babe. Once you do it, you can get your skin and-“

“Seriously, Pea-“

“Plus you’d look hot-“

“You know what? Fine, I’ll do it just to get you jackasses off my back.” Ellie stood up. There was no use in arguing. She may as well just get it over with. “Nix, come help me get ready.”

I am actually still very fond of my little lore writing- the FIXER NOTES on my two OCs - especially in conjunction with each other.

FIXER NOTES on MACHA

Mr Hands:

I have never heard this name.

(He has heard that name, and they work together frequently. Macha is often on call for him when he needs her to. He values that she's fast, discreet, and efficient. The picture shows them at the Afterlife meeting room for a briefing.)

Regina Jones:

I like her because she knows her limits. She's not afraid to turn down a job and recommend someone else better suited. I appreciate that. We go for drinks sometimes, just to wind down and talk about NC life as a woman.

Dino Dinovic:

Oh, yes, she was very adamant and convincing about that job at the Atlantic, I recall. I don't know why she wanted that one so badly, it wasn't a runers job per se but she can be convincing like that. She and Vinnie seemed to make a good pair in this.

Wakako Okada:

Yes, Macha is a very good runner, very good. Reliable, goal oriented, discreet. I did not introduce her to Vinnie on a whim. I had my reasons. But you surely don't need to know all of them. They work very well as a duo. That is all you need to know.

Rogue Amendiares

When Nix is not available, I call Macha. That's it.

FIXER NOTES on VINNIE

Muamar Reyes - El Capitàn:

That's my boy! Ah, yes, we have shared many a cigarette talking about life and what it entails. He often drives by when he's on route somewhere. Yeah, I give him whatever I can, as I said, he's my boy, I'm helping him out whenever. He always gets the job done, bit messy at times. But that's my boy, so it's OK.

Dino Dinovic:

Vinnie's a good dude... for partying, that is. Not for gigs. He might say he's quiet and efficient but alas he is not quiet, have you met the choom? Did surprise me on that one gig he did for me with Macha, that one went well. She probably reigned him in. He's always fun to have around for a drink, though, or two, three, four, ya know?

Wakako Okada:

I don't usually talk about business relations like this, but my Vinnie is very important to me. He is very reliable and quick to help me when I need... more delicate matters to deal with. I will call him first when I have a gig that is right up his alley.

Did you call him "my Vinnie"?

I think I've said enough now.

Regina Jones:

Well, he can talk his way into getting gigs, but I am careful about which ones to give him. He can't seem to follow orders like keeping cyberpsychos alive. He'll come back saying stuff like, "Sorry, I'm just too deadly, I guess."

She laughs

I like him anyway.

Rogue Amendiares:

Vinnie? He hangs around the Afterlife and that is fine. We don't have a working relationship, no.

Sebastian Ibarro - Padre:

Laughs softly.

He's a good kid. His heart is in the right place. Bless him. I give him gigs from time to time when I don't need any witnesses, if you know what I mean. He is very efficient like that.
