Nohara Clan

Nohara – meanings Field

Iryouninjutsu specialty

That was in fact where Senju and Nohara first crossed paths and together developed medical fuinjutsu in accordance with Uzumaki (Senju cousins), they were some of the first to accept invitation to Konoha, but due to low numbers (about 50 at most) were not instated as a founding clan, but a minor one

Physical markings: they are born with rectangular markings, which darken to purple the better they become at medical ninjutsu(darker and darker the better you become), they turn different colour if you're doing something wrong – as in not raising your spiritual chakra by studying medicine they might turn orange due to imbalance. (this is why Tsunade's seal and Hashirama's are purple, it's just the nature of iryouninjutsu), Shinta turns out to have little to no talent (both he and Nurui are born sometime in May and by September a betrothal is made for Nurui so that the Nohara line can continue in any way), Shinta is bitter because of this and thinks Nurui is getting a good deal not understanding that she'd basically been sold off.

Chakra:

They usually breed for chakra control and are predisposed to having perfect chakra control

Name theme:

They name their children by the feel of their chakra. Ex. Rin's chakra was cold so she's named like such, Shinta's felt like it was building up so he got 'cultivate'

Clan Members:

Nohara Rin (canon character) (Rin -'dignified', 'severe' or 'cold') - dead before start of canon (a couple of months? This is the reason Seimei started getting antsy about clan's survival as she was one of their hopes and when she died without children eyes turned to Nurui mostly)(Chuunin)

Nohara Retsu (OC – Rin's mother, Seimei's older sister) (Retsu – 'cold') - dead before canon, died when Rin was 7 years old, died using the last of her chakra to save a comrade who knew important enemy information (Tokubetsu Jounin) (distant Yuki clan relations, which is why her chakra was cold)

Aoi (OC – Rin's father)(Aoi - 'pale') – dead by canon, died during the Kyuubi attack from a crumbling building, died saving children and getting them to secure area (Chuunin)

Nohara Utoi (OC- Shinta's mother, younger sister to Retsu and Seimei)(Utoi - distant) – alive during canon, head of the family as Nohara don't rely on gender for headship (which gets them disrespect from patriarchal clans), medic-nin teacher at the academy, she cannot have any more children unless she wants to risk death (this is one of the reasons the bid for Nurui was made) (Chuunin by rank, tokubetsu Jounin by skill in iryouninjutsu)

Kasaji (OC, Shinta's father) (Kasaji – umbrella cloth) – alive during canon, never wanted a child and accused Utoi of trying to 'tie him down', as he is a civilian it is him who got disdainful looks in the end, Utoi was actually in love with him and he hurt her deeply.

Nohara Shinta (canon character, but without surname)(Shinta – 'lengthten', 'cultivate', 'develop') – alive during canon, only a couple of weeks younger than Nurui, his chakra is imbalanced partially due to him being a boy (as they have to work harder on chakra control due to larger reserves), partially due to his unwillingness to learn. He thinks it was this that made his dad not want to be around (because that's what Kasaji tells him, that boys shouldn't be medics one of the few times he sees him and scorns him). Because he doesn't start young his chakra balance never recovers and he ends up almost retiring from ninja life, but due to efforts of Nurui perseveres and salvages his life by becoming an academy teacher, he never has children, due to infertility caused by wound sustained during mission in Suna, and only a couple of platonic relationships

Nohara Seimei (OC – Nurui's father, Retsu's younger brother) (Seimei – clear and pure) – jounin, dead by canon, not during Kyuubi attack, but when Nurui is three he ends up being a part of a team on a highly classified mission, ends up dying along with the rest of their team (mission was a success in any case as the important information was delivered by her father's summon (Lizards))

Yumie – (OC, Nurui and Yoen's mother) – dead by canon, Kirigakure descent, has shark teeth which Nurui inherits, died due to poisoning which wasn't caught until it was too late, Nurui is six when this happens, Yoen is ten and a genin

Nohara Nurui (OC- main OC) (Nurui - lukewarm) – her shark teeth (called Shark Grin) are another one of the reasons she likes to speak softly and appear non-threatening (aside from not wanting to catch Kabuto's attention), she really likes her shark teeth and is always surprised other people find them ugly or monstrous, perfect chakra control, by the Fourth war she can maintain Yin seal: Strength of a Hundred even longer than Sakura (who herself is amazing)

Nohara Yoen (OC, Nurui's older brother) (Yoen – burning embers) – alive during canon, older than Nurui by four years, is a very passionate person, field medic and taijutsu specialist (something he took up in their father's memory), is a bit disgruntled that Nurui is bethroed to 'save the clan' as he feels he'll be enough, but since Nurui doesn't really mind he keeps his opinions mostly to himself (Chuunin in Part I, Tokubetsu Jounin in Part II) – deaf – communicates with sign language and similar ninja equivalents

 Extant: (fanbabies who may of may not get cut :p and leave one one obligatory child)

Nara Shikadai (Shikamaru x Nurui son, Boruto's age I suppose) – doesn't have Nohara markings, dark green eyes like his mother, genius at Shadow techniques, perfect chakra control, capable of detail shadow manipulation for himself and others, such as manipulation of facial shadows to subtly change people's looks (Shadow Manipulation: Mask) can also spread his shadow extremely far in a circle (like canon Shikadai) due to fine-tuned chakra control (can also use techniques his sister's made and taught him) - later gets a minor scar through the left side of his face, cutting through his lip.

Nara Akari (Shikamaru x Nurui daughter, twin of Anya, two years younger than Shikadai) – purple Nohara markings, becomes a full fledged frontal combat medic-nin by 16, with Yin seal like her mother, perfect chakra control, medical genius

-Uses medical techniques to incapacitate by cutting organs with chakra scalpels, making her chakra corrosive instead of healing, causing heart attacks via chakra spikes, targets nervous system and scrambles signals so that opponents can't control their limbs

Nara Anya (Shikamaru x Nurui daughter, twin of Akari, two years younger than Shikadai) – purple Nohara markings, they turn a bit more reddish by the time she's 16 and people can finally tell the twins apart, perfect chakra control, becomes a part of T&I,  developed Nara Shadow arts (Shadow Tendrils: Medusa, Shadow Swimming )

Shadow Tendrils: Medusa - by manipulating hair-strand shadows she makes it look like she has hair made of shadows, these than either restrain or kill at high velocity, they can also be used on surroundings to lever oneself and as a cape for hiding in shadows – Anya is so good at this that she can use it on Akari's hair making it look as if Akari is using it while Akari concentrates on her own jutsu

Shadow Swimming – can enter shadows and come out of other ones, but has to hold her breath so the range is however long she can hold her breath

Shadow Rummage – derivation from Shadow Swimming where she puts her hand into her shadow and drags her opponent through theirs this cuts of their limb if she cuts the technique off

Nara Shikai (Shikamaru x Nurui son, twin of Nagisa, five years younger than Akari and Anya) – purple Nohara markings, becomes a Nara medic and chemist

Nara Nagisa (Shikamaru x Nurui daughter, twin of Shikai, five years younger than Akari and Anya) – does not have Nohara markings, has shark teeth like her mother, likes scaring other kids with that by making playful biting motions

Miu, kagami, nagisa and Naori are together in a lake in the summer to cool down after training and miu and Naori are water wrestling while being carried on kagamis and Nagisas shoulders. The drawing could be from mius POV as she sees Naori blushing because nagisa is holding her thigh and also because they’ve never had that much physical contact.

Ik it’s nothing mind blowing but I feel like it would fit Nagisas clueless nature yk.

How does nagisas family feel about his marriage with naori

Tobirama - it’s for the betterment of Konoha and Naori is a hard worker

Aori - she’s excited and thinks they make a handsome couple

Tomoe - she’s got great eyes but she’s also has that horrible Uchiha fashion style

Itama - There are plenty of non-Uchiha women for Nagisa to marry. He’s not happy about it, but he’ll keep his mouth shut

Gou - she always just assumed Nagisa was generally uninterested, but the renewed love bites and the noise complaints say otherwise. Good for him/them

Goemon - she doesn’t look very huggable js

Kaga - she thinks Nagisa will crush her

Kawarama - he’s happy for his nephew! Marriage is a wonderful thing in his opinion

Okami - she thinks she’s really pretty and Nagisa probably won’t need the typical aphrodisiac she packs for wedding gifts. So she’ll give them the good stuff

This is a bit long thanks to Kawarama’s herd of children, so it’s under the cut

Kawarama’s Kids

Miu - he’s caught and returned her from the river to her parents more times than either of them can count. They get a long well, even if he has to reprimand her for trying to fight too much

Sora - She always fell asleep on him when she was little and he’s never let her live it down. Any chance he gets he recalls how chubby and cute she used to be and how her sky blue eyes gave him the idea for her name (yes, Hashirama named her). Sora also brings him tea and snacks, a practice she gets better at with age no more soggy snacks

Kōmori - she was a melancholic little one and Hashirama would give her flowers to cheer her up. It always seemed to work, even if she also showed a clear favoritism towards Tobirama.

Akiko - his twin! She was a rambunctious little thing from a young age and he may or may not have introduced her to sparklers too young, kicking off her love of explosives

Suzako - he never met such a frightful child. It’s one thing to cling to his mother, it’s another to get scared by butterflies. He did volunteer to take him on village walks so he could get use to talking to others and got a good laugh when Suzako tried to hide behind him

Tora - he didn’t get much time with Tora, but she enjoyed his flower trick the most out of all his nieces and nephews. He would sometimes have playdates with her and Tsuna and get the juiciest little kid gossip from them

Tobirama’s Kids

Nagisa - he tried to make this stoic baby love him, he really did. It got better as he got older, but Nagisa did seriously ask him why he was acting like a child at his age. He’s too much like his father some days 😅

Tomoe - always demanded ups, loved his jokes, and loved playing with his hair, so Hashirama would often play with him. As he got older, he took on more of Hashirama’s playfulness and style much to his own fathers dismay. They became gambling buddies with Tomoe often cheating successfully

Itama’s kids

Goemon - prettiest baby boy he’d ever seen, and he was so sweet too. They had a thing about shouting each other names and running to each other for a hug when he was still. Hashirama let him sit in on none serious village meetings as he showed an interest in government

Kaga - 2 for 2 on the cute kids with unique hair Itama, good job! He also didn’t a lot of time with her and she was much quieter than her cousins around her age, meaning he would pick her up for the tea parties they would have so she wouldn’t be excluded. He also would also braid twin braids into her hair as he thought it was the cutest given how she has her father’s exact split toned hair

What relationship would be viewed as more controversial in the village, Mius and kagamis or nagisas and naoris

Miu got her tits out, barefooting around the forest, and a bird on her head. But she’s Kawarama’s daughter, the guy who has been very welcoming to moving forward with the Uchiha. Her and Kagami would be both a surprise and unsurprising at the same time.

Nagisa is Tobirama’s son. That’s more controversial than Kagami and Miu because he’s basically one of the Senju’s most eligible bachelors and Tobirama hasn’t really held his tongue about how he feels about the Uchiha.

A potential match for Nagisa is Naori Uchiha

She most likely died before the Uchiha Massacre took place according to her wiki so I’m assuming they’d either be peers or have a just a small age gap

I Hc that they’d already know each other cause of kagami, who’s Nagisas close friend

Nagisa may find her pretty but personality is more important to him, as you’ve mentioned before & her personality fits his ‘type’ very well- she’s calm, kind, selfless yet very independent, skilled & powerful

Since nagisa isn’t really skilled/ experienced when it comes to romance, Aori would def have to play match maker for him

That’d happen sometime after Riki leaves Konoha

Hashirama & Tobirama figure that an arranged marriage between a higher rank senju & an uchiha would eventually prevent an escalation between the two clans after Madaras death (yk similar to nejis and michis tsau marriage)

Aori is not opposed to the idea as long as Nagisa is willing to, which he is as long as it’s with a reasonable person

Aori asks kagami & miu for help. Kagami tells her that nagisa and naori get along pretty well & that she definitely has what it takes to be placed in such a position

Miu would add that she’s seen naori get a little blushy when Nagisas around

Aori & tobirama then arrange a dinner with the potential couple to see if they’re compatible and they are

Naori is one of the few of her clans members who never succumbed to the curse of hatred & upholding peace is very important to her, which is why she’s willing to get married to a senju

Plus I hc she’d like Nagisa regardless since he’s very talented and mature & he’s really really attractive to her too which only makes it easier for her

Nagisa is actually really relieved that his mother picked Naori and remembers all the times miu used to drop hints about Naori being fond of him, which he’d only catch up to now, since the usually very calm Naori, sitting across from him, is now really nervous and flustered as their having dinner to discuss their arranged marriage

That makes nagisa blush a little (tomoe teases him about later)

It wouldn’t take them long to fall in love since they already knew and liked each other before and they’d get married pretty quickly too

But it’s a solid possibility for Nagisa! The whole arranged marriage deal would actually probably be the only way he’d get married (poor guy). Only downside is that he’d be devastated to out live his spouse, but as shinobi, that can come with the territory.

In what way do your respective ocs speak? Like what do their voices sound like, are they in/formal, do they use slang are they sarcastic/ gentle/ joking/ cocky etc etc in their way of speaking? Do they have accents? I wanna know it all lol

Aori - I imagine she has a little bit of a rasp to her voice. She would speak formally when in the presence of someone with a higher rank or older, but be animated/loud, use slang, and speak informally to any/everyone else.

Katsura - has an ethereal voice that doesn’t match her rudeness. Like her sister, she speaks formally (ex anbu dad, it can’t be helped), BUT she’s has a tendency to speak sarcastically/rudely when she doesn’t like someone… so a lot.

Gou - Gou has a deep yet honeyed tone and often sounds more laidback than anything else. But she has her snobbish/whiny days too. Everyone is -Chan when she’s referring to them.

Okami - very feathery and singsong-ish. People have to tell her to speak up a lot 🥲 as for her speech, it’s informal and full of country-like slangs and analogies.

Haiiro - has a deep flat voice and is the most formal of them all. Think baritone minus excitement. You can practically feel his voice.

Yuuta - has a mellifluous voice. He has a habit of flirtatiously and being extremely informal to the point of offense. Hence why I put ~ after some of his responses.

Genki - gravely voice in an upbeat manner. He’s not one to fuss over formalities, but tries his best to be formal when talking to the raikage.

Yoi - mostly monotone, but can get shrill-ish when she’s upset. Never one to be overly serious (even if her tone sounds serious) speaks matter of fact with everyone

Founders AU

Miu - boisterous and full of jokes. Formality for what? She’ll laugh wholeheartedly in your face if you think she’s going to be proper for any reason.

Sora - inherited her mother’s voice and it confuses people who’s talking sometimes. Unlike Okami, she’s pretty formal in her speech thanks to Katsura’s influence.

Kōmori - extremely formal but loves to joke around. She has a rather sultry sound, unintentionally

Akiko - Husky, informal, uses more curse words than anyone else. She can get very loud when she’s angry

Suzaku - has a resonant voice and is formal with his speech. Some of Okami’s country saying have rubbed off on him.

Tora - has a luscious heavenly sounding voice. She tends to sound condescending and pompous and switches her manner of speech depending who she’s talking too.

Nagisa - has a thunderous voice and is another extremely formal speaker. He’s very polite and tries to adjust his voice or will knock before he speaks to not startle people. Has a very distinctive loud laugh that everyone knows who’s laughing (so he tries not to)

Tomoe - silvery voiced and formal. Highly sarcastic, but also charming with his words when he wants to be.

Riki - A dominating low pitched voice. She speaks with confidence and authority. It depends if she respects someone if she’ll use formalities.

Tattoo Shop AU

Chiha - a little raspy, a little sultry, lots of slang. She usually speaks in a joking manner without formality.

Michi - honeyed and soft. She speaks mostly formally to adults and like Hashirama otherwise 😂
