Yoshi always got nervous when it was time for the annual checkups, and that had been known to make John's job tougher than it needed to be. Yet Moira's presence seemed to soothe the bear. When Yoshi was relaxed, telling Moira some story, John was able to check him over and give him a clean bill of health.

From then on, Moira became a quintessential part of the annual physicals for John's menagerie. He couldn’t ever quite figure out what it was about her that all the animals felt so at ease with, but it saved him multiple hours of hassle every year. And for that, he was eternally grateful.

❌: Marjorie x Moira

Cedric and Marjorie bring the children to John and Moira's animal sanctuary for a trip. Moira is the official hostess with John reluctantly welcoming visitors again. But Cedric gets him to open up, asking some questions about some of the animals, and Moira is bonding with Marjorie. The couples really hit it off by the end of the tour, occasionally seeing each other socially from then on out, and even sometimes including Blair (Müdfly) as well.

Picture Headcanon: 🐻 + Moira Fincham (Dolittle)

Moira's favorite animal is the European Goldfinch. It’s no coincidence that she chose an animal that partly shares her name. She always used to see them outside her window as a child, and listening to them is how she first learned some more basic animal languages.

Plot Summary: As the daughter of a university dean, Moira Fincham spent much of her life learning and she had a passion for it. She and John saw each other socially for a while, but then John started adventuring and never proposed. Blair did however, and she married him.
