“No,” Leonarda said. “I’m not- I can’t be some little sidepiece, Lucius.”

“You won’t be. I won’t break my vows of marriage to Vesta. To the Ancestors.”

She stepped back, chest heaving. “So you’re leaving me? For her?”

“Who said anything about leaving? We can still talk, just as we always have.”

Leonarda chewed her lip. “No.”

“What do you mean no?”

She crossed her arms. “You’re a king, and I’m a maidservant. I cannot leave if you choose to stop me. But I do have the power to stop talking to you, save for professional concerns. Lucius, if you marry her, we’re never speaking like this again. I swear it.”

His eyes went wild with awakened fury. “Leonarda, don’t do this.”

“Marry her and lose me. That’s final.”

He searched her face, his stoic façade giving way to desperation. Then, he kissed her. He leaned in, hands at his side, not even reaching out to touch her. Leonarda received it with initial shock, and then melted into it. Leonarda reached her arms around him before being pushed away with a shove.

Lucius wiped his mouth and looked away. A tear fell across Leonarda’s freckled cheek. Then another. And another. She collapsed onto his bed, head in her hands, weeping. Lucius clenched his fist and looked away, refusing to even give her a touch of comfort. And she just kept on crying, face pink as a newborn’s and her voice rising in heaving wails, and she wouldn’t stop. It was all so pathetic.

“If it wasn’t for Vesta,” he said, voice hoarse, “I would never have married another woman.”

Leonarda’s sobs fell to silence. She raised her head from her arms, her expression cold as ice.

Hello! Do you like QSMP. Do you think the eggs are cute. Do you ever think, wow, I would love to have more little things to place in my dear minecraft home, and it would be epic if it could reflect my interest in my favourite SMP. I have the texturepack for you.

You can put them on your head. You can put them on your shoulders. This pack allows carved pumpkins to be renamed to the eggs so that you can take them with you on adventures. (You can also rename a totem of undying to the eggs as well, since I figured that is the item people have in their offhand the most!)

Atfer talking with Philza's community we decided to called this AU "The Visitor" (thanks a lot to them they helped me a lot on finding ideas for the lore) So basicaly it's an AU where there is a dragon human looking in the Island with the players and hang out with them, his name is Nikai and he is very friendly !

- I’ve been loving exploring Fontaine in Genshin Impact, that’s specifically why I made my Genshin OC live in Fontaine. I did a bit of pose practice using references, and a bit of a scene without using references, you can probably tell the difference. Also I love a lot of the hairstyles in Genshin Impact, but man are they hard to draw! My artstyle likes simpler shapes, so getting Wriothesley’s hair right (or at least similar to his model) was a real challenge.

- a while back (when I was still on Twitter) I found this thing saying “take this quiz to find out what elemental type you are and then use this Picrew to make yourself as a Pokémon gym leader with that type!” So I got electric, and I made a gym leader, and here’s the result;

I wanted a team with cozy, chill, and fun vibes to contrast a lot of previous electric type gyms. Also my Mareep would be prevented from evolving but she’d be a really high level, like over level 30, I just prefer Mareep over Flaafy and Ampharos, design-wise. That’s why she’s so much bigger than she should be, canonically being around 2ft tall.

Three ships: Two OC/EC ones, plus Kanera.

First ever ship: Spock with a female Vulcan OC many years ago.

Last song/album: Some cantatas by Dieterich Buxtehude (1637–1707) as I exercise. Yes, early music geek here!

Last movie: Probably the one a singer friend of mine sent me the other month or so of him performing a short cantata by the seventeenth-century nun-composer Isabella Leonarda (1620–1704) with a small baroque orchestra. Does that count? I hope so, because I haven’t had the chance to sit down and watch an actual feature film in quite a while! 😛

Currently reading: Recently it’s been various cookbooks and feeble attempts to catch up on friends’ fanfic stories, but I’m about to go on a road trip and am bringing some Agatha Christie along.

Currently watching: Nothing regularly right now. (Sorry I’m such a boring stick-in-the-mud!) But when I’m staying with my mom we never miss Father Brown and Death in Paradise.

Currently consuming: Nothing yet, because I’m exercising on the elliptical, but I plan to make myself a strawberry-banana smoothie once I’m done.

Currently craving: A nice long, peaceful stretch of time in which to do some fanfic writing.

I’m going to add one, because I’ve seen it in other versions of this game and I like when it is. (Plus, I just have to tell the world! 😁 )

For this ask game. Answering both for Blood of Gods.

✂ Is there a plotline that you'd planned to write but for whatever reason has been abandoned?

Oh, so many. The first draft is almost a completely different book from its current state. One major change was that the character who later ended up being Leonarda was initially Vesta's OG Swordmaiden who later becomes a royal assassin, causing lots of trouble for the main duo. Now, of course, she's far less bad-ass, but has far more personality and causes even more trouble.

🥇 Pick one aspect of your story that you are particularly fond of. Anything at all.

The cast! I've been fleshing out these characters for over 2 years now over three drafts, and it's hard not to feel a lot of affection for them after all that. With each draft, they break further away from the cliché stock characters they started as and become more and more human. I can't help but feel... weirdly proud of them?
