Arthur’s Note: Talofa everybody! I was having some thoughts about my Black Ops OC, named Koa Nikau. Ever since I was done watching the Black Ops 6 Campaign. I was SO hooked up that I wanted to see if I could add Koa in there somewhere. And I also wanted to thank Khushi for helping me to figure it out. Since she also planned for HER OC entering this Universe! (Her Bell OC of course!) And this shows (SPOILER ALERT) after Adler, Sims and Chase had caught and interrogated Gusev. Since they have the lead that the next location is in Vorkuta. So you guys may enjoy reading this! Thank you! Love ya, peles! 😘💖

“Marshall.”

“Woods?”

“I know that you, Sev and Case will handle this mission. To Vorkuta. But I’m having a bad feeling that Jane has something or someone ELSE up from her fucking sleeves.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“I…don’t know but I could feel it in my damn guts. I have someone in mind to help you and the others out. Just for backup.”

“Oh yeah? Who?”

“Heh. You’ll see. I just hope that he’ll agree to assist us.”

“...alright, Woods. I’ll accept this extra help.”

“Don’t worry buddy. He’s an old friend of mine. I’m sure he’ll listen to me.”

Balmoral Military CampTekapo, New Zealand

The sun was rising high above the plains and the mountains. Where the sun had shone down at the plains were soldiers, jogging their way through the fields with big heavy backpacks on their backs. Sweating like crazy under the heat of the sun. Many of them were running together to reach the end of their destination.

And at the end of the line from that destination. Standing two higher officers. A female Lieutenant, named Rui Hehu, standing next to her boss. As she watched the soldiers running. Looking through her sunglasses. “Te ahua nei kua tino pai ta matou tamaiti koura i te arahi i tana kapa. He pai hoki te wa.” She said in their foreign language. Pointing at the man who was leading the group.

Her boss, who is a Commander, had shown a small smile. Commander Koa ‘Hunter’ Nikau. The man who everyone had heard about his mission that he had fought and succeeded. Had also watched them running in through the finish line through his own sunglasses. And saw one man walking towards the team and giving them high five. “Ae ra.” He said softly.

Soon the two walked over to meet up with the soldiers. Before Koa told the Lieutenant to call out their team.

“SOLDIERS! DROP YOUR BAGS AND FALL IN!” She yelled out to them. Making sure that they could hear her.

Seeing the soldiers pile their bags on one side before running up to form a line across. Standing straight as Koa started to walk over with his hands behind his back. Seeing his soldiers lining up and looking straight ahead.

He passed by them. One by one, watching them from one eye to another. Seeing them not even glancing at him. Which is good. It goes to show him that they RESPECTED him. And that made him proud.

“Alright, listen up.” The Commander said as he continued to walk past them. “For those who are NEW into this camp. I am Commander Koa Nikau. You will address me as Commander Nikau or sir. I am here to train you to become a better soldier. A GOOD soldier.” He kept walking and started to turn his boots around as he stood straight and stared at them. “If you really want to survive through any battles that hit in front of you. You shall listen to me and pay every single detail of what I’m going to train you for. Is that CLEAR?”

“SIR! YES SIR!”

He smiled a bit before he saw one of the soldiers from afar had run up to his Lieutenant. Seeing them whispering something to her. Her expression seemed serious before she nodded and looked at Koa.

He was quiet for a moment when he looked at her eyes. Then he started to look at his soldiers. “Now, go take your bags and get yourself ready for training. In 20 minutes.”

After he dismissed them, he walked up to the Lieutenant before hearing someone calling up to him.

“Commander! Sir!” A young man called out to him.

Koa turned his head before smiling to see him. “Sergeant Haimona Eruera. How may I help you?”

The Sergeant, who is named Haimona, is one of Koa’s BEST soldiers in the team. He had met him after he came back from his mission from the Safe House. His Colonel had introduced this man to him. And he heard his story about joining the army. It was…the same fate that Koa used to be when he was young. And it gave him the heart to have this Sergeant under his wings.

Haimona saluted the Commander before responding. “If I may ask, sir. Do you think I could join you on the next mission?”

His eyebrows went up after hearing that. “Oh…uh…I don’t know, Sergeant. I don’t think you’re-”

“Sir, please.” The Sergeant said as he lowered his arm down. “I have been training for YEARS ever since you brought me under your wings. Which I do appreciate. But I want to prove more and expand my skills.” He respectfully asked his Commander to give him a chance. He heard about his mission from the Safe House and it inspired him so much that he wanted to be trained under him. And even wanted to go on a dangerous mission with him too.

Koa looked Haimona in the eyes. Seeing his eyes fills with determination and he could tell he has no fear to show. That is the kind of soldier that he’s looking for but…there are some missions that Koa went that he doesn’t want this boy to see. Not even wanting him to find out what he was actually doing in the safe house. Some images started to flash into his mind. Remembering some of those old friends of his and some foes as well.

“Haimona…I appreciate your enthusiasm but you’re not ready to go with me. Not yet.”

“But sir-”

“That is final, Sergeant.”

“I know that I’m-”

“SERGEANT.” Rui raised her voice at Haimona while giving him that serious look. “Listen to your Commander. If he said you’re not ready. Then you’re NOT ready. How about you lead the training for him? He has an important phone call with someone.”

Koa turned his gaze at Rui when she mentioned someone calling for him.

Is that what the soldier was telling her? Someone was calling for him? But who?

“Sir, they’re waiting.” The woman said to her boss.

Koa nodded at her before looking back at the Sergeant. “Make sure to go over the stretching routine and start. Alright?” He gently patted his shoulder and left with the Lieutenant and the other soldier.

Haimona watched them leave as he sighed and felt disappointed. But just did as he was ordered to do while being a bit upset.

Koa and Rui were walking side by side with the soldier walking next to the Commander.

“Who are they?” He asked while glancing at the soldier.

“H-He won’t even say his name unless it’s YOU, Commander.”

“He? Sounds suspicious. Don’t you think so?” Rui said as she gave that look of suspicion. Doesn’t even trust this man that the soldier had mentioned. “Do you really want to take this call? I can take over?”

“No. I got this. And I’ll talk with this man, Lieutenant.”

“You’re the boss, sir. I’ll wait out here for a bit while taking a smoke.”

“Thank you. And don’t smoke too much.”

Soon the three had made their way to a small cabin where their communication lines were stored. To contact other bases in New Zealand and in the state.

The soldier opened the door for Koa and walked right through. While Rui stayed outside and lit up her cigarette. The sound of their boots on the ground had echoed around the hallway and hearing the door closed. He started to follow the trooper up to a machine with the phone handset on the side.

Koa started to sit down and grabbed it before nodding to the soldier to make the contact.

They nodded back at him before pressing some of the buttons. “All set. Contacting him now.”

He waited as he heard the phone start to ring. And once it stopped ringing, someone on the other line answered. So he put the phone against his ear. “Hello?”

“Koa? Is that you?”

The Commander paused for a moment once hearing that familiar voice. He tries to recognize so he continues to interrogate this person. “Who is this? How do you know my name?” Then he started to hear laughter on the other end of the line. A laugh that Koa had remembered from somewhere.

“Hahaha! I thought you might recognize my voice, you old Gorilla!”

That nickname ‘Gorilla’ had gotten his attention as he remembered only ONE person called him that. “Woods?”

“The one and only! And also still breathing!”

Koa started to sigh in relief before laughing a bit. “WOODS! Hahaha! How are you my friend?”

Frank still laughed along with the old friend as he started to clear his throat. “Still living and serving the country, buddy. How about you? How was your end?”

“Things are going good now. Taking care of my own team that I’ve been training with.”

“Oh right. I heard that you’re a COMMANDER now?”

“Yup.”

Frank chuckled softly. “Well, congrats. I should salute you when I see you.” He could hear Koa laughing softly on the other line. Which made him smile a bit. “Hey, Koa? Are you alone?”

Koa looked at the soldier who was standing only inches away from him. He nodded at them to let them know that they were dismissed. They nodded and marched their way out. And once Koa saw the door slowly shut. He went back on talking on the phone. “I am now. What’s wrong?”

Frank sighs softly as he tries to find some words that won’t get on Koa’s nerves. “Listen, I…I know you said to us before you left. To NEVER contact you. But…we really need your help.”

The Commander felt silenced for a moment when Frank had mentioned that. About him telling his ex-team to never contact him before he left that Safe House. He still remembers that anger inside of him when he found out about what Adler had done. Something that he did was UNFORGIVABLE and he would never want to be part of that.

Back at the safe house in 1981. The day after saving the United States from being blown up. That was under the attack of that Soviet Spy named Perseus. It was a winning victory for them since they had found out where Perseus had hid those missiles. And it’s all thanks to that one person who had helped them along the way. The person that Koa had called a close friend or make that…sibling.

But it was already too late as soon as he finally realized what happened to them. Of what Adler had done. It angered him but also saddened. So much trust that person had given to Koa. Has been shattered into millions of pieces.

He couldn’t take this pain and anger much longer. So he quit working at the safe house and came back to the Army. He also told them to NEVER contact him. For he doesn't want to do their dirty work any more.

But here he is. On the phone with an old friend who actually called him for help.

“......does it have to do with Adler?”

And now it’s Frank’s turn to be silenced when Koa asked him that. The bearded man knows that he and Adler’s relationship wasn’t on good terms ever since that day. So he tried to answer his question CAREFULLY. “Yes. But we’re working together to stop someone before the whole state gets into a fucking WAR or WORSE!”

Koa started to listen to Frank about their mission of trying to stop this group called the Pantheons. For they are going to Vorkuta to collect an object called the Cradler.

“Vorkuta? That’s…pretty far away for me to go to.”

“I know. And that’s why I have to give you an early call. Hoping that you will take an early flight there. The team is setting up and leaving in an hour.”

“Okay. But I don’t get why you forget that I mention NEVER call me when it comes to those CIA bullshits missions. Even with Adler. What’s wrong with your team you have now?”

Frank sighed as he tried to explain. “They might need Manpower for this one in case the mission goes south.”

“What about Sims or Park?”

“Park is busy working with the SAS in Iraq at the moment. She’s not available. Even for Captain Sims who is in Kuwait. In the battle right now.”

“Wait…CAPTAIN Sims? Huh. I thought that he’s going to be more of a tech guy or something.” Koa smiled a bit to hear Frank laughed lightly from the line.

“Nah. He’s actually looking forward to being on the battlefield, Koa. And you may have inspired him to take the step out of the CIA ground. Hehehe.”

“Good for him. But what about Mason? Isn’t he there with you?” Koa then heard a long deep silence from the line. Not even one minute, Frank didn’t respond. Something was wrong. “Woods? Woods you there?”

“U-Uh- Sorry. I um…kinda lost track there.”

After hearing Franks’ unsteady response. Koa knew something was up when he brought up Mason. “Frank? What happened to Mason?”

Another full on silenced from the old tired soldier. Koa can hear him sighed as he could tell that he was rubbing his face on the other side.

“Mason and Hudson…they’re…they’re both KIA.”

This news had suddenly given the Commander a shocking expression. His eyes went wide as he could feel the world around him paused. “W-What? How, Frank?”

Woods had sadly started to explain the mission that he went to. Along with Mason and Hudson. To stop the man named Raul Menendez from pulling up a war that will destroy the world. They were supposed to take him ALIVE but because of Frank’s selfish act. It had causes Menendenz’s anger fueled more after of what he had done to the sister.

Koa kept listening and nodding at every sentence that his poor friend had gone through. It even made him feel pity towards Woods when he explained further.

He started to tell Koa that last mission he went with Mason to kill Menendez once and for all. Had backfired them. One of the men who was Menendez arm’s dealer had tricked Frank. Instead of shooting their main target dead. He shot Mason instead. Koa could feel Frank’s anger and sadness. He could also feel the guilt was rising up from the other line.

“Woods?”

“I should’ve known that the two-time face son of a bitch would trick us!”

“But you didn’t know.”

“Well I should HAVE! Mason was DEAD because of me! Not only that, he also captured his SON with him! And Hudson was there! And you know what happened to HIM?”

“Woods-”

“He got fucking SHOT! Right in front of my fucking FACE! And Dave…the kid…he just saw his dead dad laying there…”

Koa kept being silenced as he waited for Frank to calm down. But then he could hear a sniffle from the line. Is he…CRYING?

“The kid…he shouldn't have seen his own father dead laying there…he was too young to see all of that…”

Those sentences that Frank had said. Had gotten him by surprise. He never knew that Mason had a son. And after hearing that from Frank about the young boy seeing his own father laying dead on the ground. Reminded him of the memories that he used to experience. But it was the opposite. “...how old was that kid? When…When Mason passed?”

“...he was only 7.”

Koa took a deep breath through his nose as he closed his eyes. Feeling that small sharp pain in his chest as he felt so hurt. As a father himself. He couldn’t imagine if his own children would experience that kind of tragedy at that kind of age. Mason’s son was a young boy at that age. Witnessing his own father’s death that is right in front of him. It must’ve traumatized him.

“He’s in a safe place though. Hopefully Menendez won't get to him again.”

“That’s good.” Koa said as he slowly opened his eyes. Just staring at the machines that were working on the phone that he was on.

Soon the two were silenced. For it feels like an eternity between them. But Frank had finally broken that silence as he started to speak.

“Listen, Koa. I’m not telling you this to change your mind. And I know it won’t if it involves Adler. But…we really need your help. I need your help. You are the only person that I know who has the guts and strength to take these motherfuckers DOWN.”

Koa was still in his silenced area as he thought about it. Before he took something out of his pocket. And it shows it was a photo. A photo of a teenage girl with that brightest smile that he could ever see.

His daughter.

He kept looking at the photo while rubbing his thumb over it while Frank was still talking.

“So please. Koa. Can you help us?”

The Commander kept looking at the photo as if in his heart. He knows what to do. “I’ll bring my team to assist me to deal with these Pantheons.”

“Okay okay. Listen, I- Wait what? Really?” Frank was caught off guard after hearing Koa’s answer. “Are you fucking with me right now? Like, you’re actually agreeing to do this? No jokes or serious lectures about that?”

The Commander made a smirk on his lips when he heard Frank’s reaction. “No. I’m not fucking with you, Frank. I’m MARRIED.” He felt pretty pleased to hear him laughing at his humor.

“Hahaha! I KNOW you’re married, you sick bastard! You know what I’m talking about!”

“Yes yes. I know what you are talking about. And yes, I am serious about agreeing to this mission Frank. I’ll be getting my men right away.”

“Hehehe…thank you, Koa. I owe you one.”

Koa softly smiled after hearing that. “No need, Woods. I’m doing this for Mason’s sake. And Hudson. Even though I hate that bald headed bastard as well.”

Frank laughed again but a bit more loudly. “Ha! Yeah, I understand that. And uh…Koa?”

“Yeah?”

“I’m sure your dad is really proud of you. And your kid too.”

Those words had suddenly touched his heart as he chuckled softly. “Thank you, Frank. Now, I’ll go and get my boys. And we’ll be there in 22 hours. Will that be a problem?”

“Nope! Not at all! It’ll take a few hours for us to get there. So we’ll see you soon.”

“Alright then, see you there.” As soon as Koa hung up, he took a good look at the photo and smiled softly. “Ka hoki pai au ki te kainga, e tama.” He said in a soft voice before standing up and leaving the room. He opened the door and stepped outside before seeing his Lieutenant just finished smoking her cigarette as she flicked the leftover down to the ground.

“So, who was it?” Rui asked as she stepped on the butt of the cigarette. And looked at her boss while crossing her arms.

“An old friend. He’s asking for help so I accepted. Get our team ready. We’re heading to Vorkuta.” Koa said before starting to walk off. “I’m gonna get our ride.”

Rui’s eyebrows rose when she heard that. Quickly following Koa. She started to feel uneasy about that area. “Vorkuta? As in VORKUTA in RUSSIA?”

“Yes.”

“Sir. I didn’t mean to sound rude or anything about your friend’s request. But isn’t it a bit dangerous for our comrades to participate in this mission? To THAT place?”

“The new recruits will stay. But the one who I trained for. I know they are ready.”

“Even Sergeant Eruera?”

That had made Koa stop as he just remembered about that Sergeant.

Rui could see him hesitated as she sighed. “Sergeant Eruera came in the SAME time and day as the rest of those recruits. Ever since you’ve created this team, sir. And if you say that he’s not ready, then the team is not ready.” She stood firm as she continued reasoning with the Commander. “I’m not saying that they CAN’T do it. All I’m saying is that they are still learning how to defeat the toughest enemies. And THESE enemies that you are sending are much tougher AND stronger than the one that we have faced before.”

Koa slowly looked down to the ground as he listened to the Lieutenant’s words.

She was right. The men that he had trained only knew a few ways of fighting the enemies. And this mission that he’s going to. Is MUCH bigger than what they have experienced. He closed his eyes as he started to think for a few minutes.

“Sir?”

Koa opened his eyes again before glancing at the Lieutenant. Who was showing a concerning look.

“Listen, I never doubted your decisions when it comes to battle. But I also don’t want you to come back with regrets.” Rui said as she kept looking at her boss. Hoping he understands what's going to happen over there. “You have sacrificed SO much ever since you’ve come back from that mission in the state. It really hurts me to see you like that, Koa.”

The Commander sighed as he hated to feel like someone else was right. “I know, Rui. I know the consequences if we ever step into that area. But my friend was asking for help. And I want to help him. And I will make sure that our men will come back in ONE piece. I promise you that.”

Rui shook her head a bit after hearing that answer but smiled a bit. “You truly are a stubborn one, Nikau. And I admired that.”

Koa smiled back at her as he nodded. “Thank you, Hehu.”

“Alright then, I’ll get the boys and explain everything to them but I’m coming as well. Don’t you dare think that I want to miss these fun activities.”

Koa smiled to hear the Lieutenant wanting to join in the fun. “No doubt. I’ll meet you and the others at the plane area in 10 minutes.”

She saluted him and nodded. “Sir yes sir!” Then started to walk off to get their recruits.

While Koa went in the opposite direction, heading towards the building where the planes were at. As he started to think about his decisions.

Will they make it out alive or will they die in that area just to help a friend?

Biography:

(Call of duty black ops 2 spoilers!)

Abby is the Daughter of David Mason and Alice Johnson. She was born and raised in an environment full of fun and love. She had a great childhood. But the sad thing is due to her parents job she didn't see them very recently. David in the military and Alice working in the hospital.

But she stayed the majority of her days with the one and only Frank Woods. While her parents worked she was raised by Woods, like he did with David before. She has her best memories with that old man. He taught her a lot of things and told her a lot of stories too.

She loved that old man.

She had an amazing youth until she was 13. One night while visiting Woods in The Vault. They had a strange visit. After all that happened, Menéndez appeared again. Ready to get his revenge for what Woods did years ago. The poor kid didn't know what to do but look. Until suddenly Menéndez aimed a gun at her and shot. She hit the ground holding her chest while she started to bleed out.

Woods couldn't do anything because in the blink of an eye, he got stabbed in the throat with a knife. Abby just could lay there, bleeding out, begging, screaming, witnessing how Menéndez killed the man that practically raised her.

That affected her enormously, and she never was the kid she was once.

Personality:

She was practically raised by Woods, so it's not a surprise that she got a few traits from him. She has a strong personality, not afraid to say what's in her mind, it doesn't matter if she's talking with the fucking president Bosworth herself.

It's hard to gain her trust, she's reluctant and even rude to strangers. But when it comes to friends and family she's pure joy and kindness, she leaves her mean shell aside and she jokes around (usually dark humour), laughs, giggles...

"Abs swears like a sailor but has the imagination of a five year old" - Woods.

She has a really strong bond with her family, it's everything to her, so she would and will do everything for her family.

So it's better not to mess with her but if you earn her trust she will show you that little kid inside her.

She's impatient, stubborn and badly-tempered, but she also has a great imagination and sense of humour. Everything that you can expect from a teenager.

Trivia:

Abby is left-handed

Her name was chosen by Woods, he knew that if his Friend Mason would have a daughter would name her Abigail. So in honour of his memory David and Woods named her like that.

She's Allergic to seafood

She doesn't like sweets and is a huge fan of spicy food. Although the next day she will feel as if she has been hit by a truck.

She has one of Woods' tattoos to honour his memory, although she feels a little bit shy when she has to talk about it.

She swears more than she talks. (She spent too much time with old Woods)

Loves talking and reading about space and astronomy. One of her dreams was to become an astronaut.

Wears silly socks with silly patterns.

Although she was raised by a lieutenant commander and an ex-CIA agent, she has a really anarchical mentality. She doesn't believe in rules or the government and she's not afraid to "debate" it.

FINALLY! I have done it been SO long for me to finish this piece! And I want to say thank you to @alypink for helping to color the cake, the season and the colors! I LOVE it!

Okay everyone! Since I saw some of my mutuals done this! I was thinking that I should joined in! With my BOCW OC! Koa Nikau and Ex who is now becoming his wife (again)! Aroha Arehe!

Their first marriage hasn’t been planned ACCORDINGLY since the two just ran off to get married somewhere else. Without Aroha’s family knowing. But since they have their 2nd wedding. They’ll finally have their WHOLE family (mostly Aroha side) to see them getting married!

Koa lets Aroha plan things out but will help out as much as he can. Aleks help out as well to ease things up a bit.

The two do like to have their wedding ceremony outdoors. But has different ideas of where to have their venues. Aroha decided to go with Koa’s ideas. For she had found it very romantic of these two dancing under the decorative lights.

Koa was planning to have their wedding around the fall season but changed his mind since he wanted to make his future wife happy. So he’s glad that he agreed to do it during the Spring season.

They also invited Koa's friends! Even though that the Groom has to tolerate of seeing Adler, Hudson, Sims and Helen. But luckily Aroha was there to calm him down.

The Groomsmen would be Frank, Alex, Craig, Charles and Aroha’s older brother (surprisingly he agreed to this). And the Best Man will be Vasili. Questioning of what happened to Sims, Lazar, Hudson and Adler? They’re just sitting down on the chairs.

Bridesmaids will be Jodie and some of Aroha’s cousins. And the Maid of Honor will be Aleks. Imagined these two women had gotten closer because of them talking about their hubbies🤭 Oh and Helen was with the other boys in the crowd.

Pretty sure the groomsmen (except for Aroha’s older brother) will try not to laugh at Koa’s, not his uniform, HAT. Koa would just shush those guys up as he tried to keep his composure.

Koa will also be blushing to see Aroha walking up on the aisle with her father. Wearing that beautiful dress. He was also sweating so much to see Aroha’s father glaring at him when he handed his daughter to him. (You should know why)

Marynee (Alek's daughter) being the honoree flower girl. And having one of Aroha's nephew being the ring bearer.

Since the wedding couples decided to do their own custom wedding vows. You can say Koa had took this one in the bag. For he had SO many things to say to his lover. About their past relationship, of his regrets, how much he had screw it up and blah blah blah and so forth and so forth. You get it right?

The beginning of the song will be “Endless Love”. Which it is Koa and Aroha’s cue for the slow dance.

Vasili and Jodie will be having a dance battle against Frank and Alex.

Kai (Koa and Aroha's eldest son) started talking to Sims about some mechanic nerd stuff.

Everyone will be seeing Aleks, Frank, Charles, Craig and Vasili having that drinking competition. Wait…KOA GET VASILI AWAY FROM THE VODKA!

Aleks dancing with her kids and Koa’s kids on the dance floor. TRYING to drag Adler to join in.

Charles will be doing the most embarrassing dance in HISTORY while being drunk. And Ari (Koa and Aroha's youngest son) joined in with him. (Koa had secretly recorded it)

Koa and Lazar was arm wrestling again. And once again, Lazar won. Which he received a kiss on the cheek from the bride as a reward. (Koa was ok with that. He’s fine…I think.)

And after the reception well BEFORE the ending of it. Vasili had surprised Koa with a special tradition of the Māori way. By doing the HAKAS. Which it gives Koa great tears to see his friend who had done it so well. Even Aroha was impressed.

Imma preface this by saying that Annika (my Bell OC) is a misanthrope who doesn't like a good 99% of people, so her relationship with Koa, if any, would take a long time to develop. Bad experiences combined with seeing the cruelty of humanity at an early age make her generally distrustful, even as Bell.

However, it is possible for Annika to develop a connection with Koa, but not before the initial cold shoulder and snide remarks. She'll be a complete asshole at first, so I do imagine that would get on Koa's nerves. Her temper's also very bad, so they'd clash repeatedly.

Eventually, Diana/Annika warms up to Koa. She wanted to know more about his life before joining Adler's team, his life in New Zealand, and why the fuck he was in the middle of Berlin with the other 'bozos'. Her curiosity drew her closer; Diana's never met a New Zealander and, from what she heard, it's beautiful there. Honestly, that's what cause her to stop being so hostile towards him.

The more time they spend together, Annika/Diana realizes that somebody as angry and hateful as her can change for the better. She realizes that her rage is a prison, and, as Bell, starts learning how to cope more positively and not be as destructive as she used to be. Koa would, indirectly or not, teach Diana how to be more empathetic towards others.

When she breaks through the brainwashing, Koa is the only thing that keeps her from betraying the safehouse crew. All that rage would have resurfaced, but Diana wouldn't want to drag him down with the rest of them.

COD OCs x DnD: The Warriors Task Force (ft. Koa)

I’m not REALLY into the DnD kind of things but I am interested of how they create their characters. Including when I saw one of the artist on Twitter (Or 'X') showing of the TF141 in that universe. And I have asked my Discord Friend to help me understand MORE about this DnD since I wanted to put my COD OCs into that universe! So they helped me out with some info of how to make a DnD characters and also helped me to pick the RIGHT class and race for them. Soooooooo...here are the results!

I'm sorry that you went through all that pain just to come this far. You never deserved that in the first place. And I'm sorry that I have to let you go, as well. Maybe one day, I'll see you again. Because right now, we all are balancing on a tight string and a huge pit surrounding darkness is waiting for one of us to come down. I can't let that happen. I need to make things better, in my power.

That's why. I would only want you to tell the rest of our allies.. that they shouldn't worry about me. I could be everywhere, making sure you all are okay. Tell Aleks and Charles that I'll be fine, because I've vanished from the world now. Only for the sake of them, and for the world.

Arthur's Note: I shall answer this one...with a ONESHOT story. Here it is! (And sorry @welldonekhushi for taking so long! It took me a while to find some time and ideas to get this right. Hope this is ok...)

“Vorona? Who the fuck is Vorona?” Koa asked himself after reading this mysterious letter.

He had found it in his drawer after withdrawing himself from the party. The party that they are celebrating for winning the war. Him and the gang had saved Europe from Perseus who was about to release the Nuke all over the area.

And they have stopped him. All thanks to Bell for telling them the location of where Perseus was at.

Koa had kept staring at the letter, trying to figure out who would put this paper into his drawer before heading out to finish the mission.

He also questions how this mystery person knows his name and knows about Aleks and Charles. He thought it might be a threat but the way he reads sentence after sentence.

It…doesn’t sound threatening at all. It somehow makes him feel…guilty all of a sudden.

Koa rubbed his head as he felt puzzled. He wanted to know of who actually left this letter in HIS drawer and how they know about him. Until he smells a familiar scent from the letter.

He slowly put it up close to his face as he took a good sniff from it. The scent of a cologne mixed with a smoking smell from a cigarette. And then it triggered his memory of seeing someone recognizable.

Koa looked at the wall as he remembered now. “...Bell?”

He imagined the Russian man smiling at him softly.

“What the-”

He looked back at the letter as he felt something bad had happened. Something happened that HE wasn’t there for the man he called his close friend and brother.

He read it again as his hand started shaking.

Why does he feel the heaviness in his heart?

Why does he feel like his body is shaking so much?

He folded the letter and put it in his pocket before walking out of his room. As he saw the gang is still partying.

Park, Sims and Lazar were talking. While Hudson was getting annoyed by Woods drunkenly talking to him as Mason was just laughing.

And then saw Charles and Aleks were chatting away remembering a good time.

But where is Adler and Bell?

He walked over to Charles and Aleks as he got the two attention.

“Koa! Hermano! You’re missing yourself with the drink that you like!” Aleks said with a cheerful tone and with a bright smile; as she grabbed another cup that was on the table next to her. She walked up to him before she saw Koa’s expression. “Hey…you ok? You seem like you saw a ghost.”

Koa looked down at Aleks, seeing her worried expression. He cleared his throat before looking around. “Have you seen Bell and Adler? I need to talk with them. Or…make that Adler.”

Aleks pondered a bit as she tried to remember. “Um…well…I only saw Adler. I was also questioning where Bell was as well. But I didn’t ask him yet.”

“Then where is Adler?”

“He should be outside smoking.”

Charles stepped in looking at the two. “What’s going on?”

“Koa was just asking where's Adler and Bell.”

Charles was taking a sip from his drink before looking around. “Hmmm. All I can remember is that it was only Adler who came in last. I don’t think I’ve seen Bell anywhere.”

Charles saw Koa’s expression had turned pale and saw he didn’t hear him. “Nakiu? Helloooooo? Earth to NAKIU.” He snapped his fingers in front of Koa.

The big man jolted at hearing the snap of the Professor’s fingers. “U-Uh- Sorry! I um…”

“¿Estás bien? What’s going on?’ Aleks asked as she looked even more worried for her Māori friend.

Before Koa could answer, he saw Adler walk back in. “I’ll be right back.” He quickly walked past Charles and Aleks as he hurriedly walked up to the CIA man.

“Adler!”

Adler turned his head to see Koa walking up to him so quickly as he stood firm. While flicking his cigarette away. “Yes, Nakiu?”

Koa got up to him as he took a deep breath and looked at him. Looking deep through this man’s sunglasses that he always wore wherever he goes. “Adler…I…I need to know. Where is Bell?”

Adler raised his eyebrows a bit after hearing that question. Before looking away to avoid the Captain’s gaze.

Koa knew something was up. He kept asking him that same question. “Adler. WHERE is BELL?” He saw him trying to turn away from him but he stopped him.

“Don’t you fucking turn away from ME, Adler. ANSWER my question.” Koa started to protest while blocking his way.

“MOVE. NAKIU. I got other business to get done.” Adler warned the Captain.

“The business shit is ALREADY done!”

Aleks quickly stepped in between the two before looking at Koa. “K-Koa, calm down. What’s going on?”

Koa started to point at Adler as he didn’t listen to Aleks. “Where IS he, Adler? I just want to KNOW!” He didn’t pay attention to anyone else except to Adler. He was so focused on getting an answer from this CIA agent. He KNOWS that he had something to hide.

He’s feeling impatient but did his best to stay cool.

Charles also stepped in before touching Koa’s shoulder. “Nakiu. You need to calm down.”

Koa shoved his hand away before pushing Aleks aside gently as he took a step forward towards Adler.

The Agent took a step back as his back touched against the wall. While staring up at the angry Captain.

The rest of the gang saw this as well as they walked over to see what was going on.

Mason stood next to Aleks. “What’s going on? Why is Koa like this?”

Aleks was just looking worried as she wanted to stop Koa from doing anything stupid. But somehow deep down inside of her tells her to wait and see. “I-I…I don’t know. Koa kept asking Adler where's Bell…”

“You know…I was questioning that too.” Woods said as he took a step in. “Hey ADLER! Where IS Bell huh? I thought he was with YOU.”

Adler was silenced as he was just staring at Woods, who is a bit drunk, through his sunglasses before looking back at Koa.

The Māori man was towering over him a bit, he was DESPERATE to know where his friend, his ally, his BROTHER.

“ADLER. PLEASE. I’m begging you. WHERE is BELL?”

Adler was still being quiet as he looked away. Koa was getting annoyed at this. He took another step forward, cornering Adler, and glared at him. “ADLER! Where is BE-”

“HE’S GONE!”

The garage was in deep silence after Adler had yell with those TWO simple words. The words had cut so deep into Koa’s heart.

Aleks, Charles and everyone else in the garage were shocked to hear this. Except for Hudson, Sims and Park. For some reason...

Koa was just standing there with wide eyes. “W-What…?”

“He’s FUCKING gone, Koa! You happy now?” Adler said with an annoyance in his tone but with a small guilt mixed with it.

Aleks was covering her mouth in shock. While Charles was just standing there also being shocked and was gripping his glass.

Mason walked over as he touched Koa’s shoulder while glaring at Adler. “Russel. What do you mean he’s GONE?”

“What did you do to him, Adler?” Woods asked the question as he took a step forward while glaring at him.

Adler was silenced again as he sighed trying to find the right words.

Aleks looked at Adler with saddened eyes. “Adler…?”

He was about to say something before jolting at Koa, grabbing him by his leather brown jacket and getting his back slammed against the wall.

“WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO HIM?!?” Koa yelled, making everyone panic.

Mason quickly grabbed Koa’s shoulder trying to pull him away but he’s too stubborn and strong to be pulled back. “KOA! CALM DOWN!”

“Koa! Let go of him NOW!” Hudson ordered the Captain.

But he didn’t listen as he slammed Adler again against the wall. “WHAT THE FUCK DID YOU DO TO BELL?!? TELL ME!”

Adler groaned as he grabbed onto Koa's arms. “Let GO of me, you bastard! Get OFF!"

“Not until you TELL me what you did to the man who had HELPED us!”

“For fuck sake- LAZAR!” Hudson rubbed the bridge of his nose before pointing at Lazar.

Lazar stepped in and helped Mason to pull Koa away.

The Captain struggled to get out of their grip while still yelling at Adler.

Charles scoffed seeing this scene before looking at Adler. “Answer the DAMN question, Adler. What did you do to him and WHERE is he?” Then he glared at Hudson. “I know YOU have something to do with this as well.”

Hudson glared back at the Professor. “What made you say THAT?”

“Don’t play the dumb shit game here. You both are in the same agencies to SAVE the world but I know deep down that you’re just a bunch of BULLSHITS.” Charles snarled at both of the CIA agents. “So tell us the truth or I might reconsider Nakiu here to disfigure BOTH of your faces.”

Charles gave them both a daggered stare as he took a quick swig on his drink down to his throat. Before Adler sighs in defeat and fixes himself up.

“The CIA had already put Bell under a death sentence. We’re only using him and keeping him alive for some information about Perseus.” Adler explained.

Aleks was confused as she looked at Adler. “DEATH sentence? What does that supposed to mean?”

Hudson stepped in to answer that. “Which means that he’s already no use for us after this mission.”

Everyone was stunned. Except for Park and Sims as the two looked away. Koa caught the two as he glared at them. While still being held back by Lazar and Mason.

“You two know about this DIDN’T you?” Koa said with anger.

“Hey man! I’m just a guy who solves problems! Which, in case you FORGET, that I provide materials for y'all. I didn’t know about the death sentence until NOW!” Sims raised his hands in defense.

“Yeah, by putting a SYRINGE into his fucking EYEBALL?”

“You WHAT?” Mason looked at Sims and Park with a dumbfounded look. “You put a syringe into Bell’s EYES? WHY?!”

Park motioned her hands towards Mason to calm down. “It’s the only way to get his memory back for him to tell us of where Perseus was at.”

Woods walked up while pointing his finger at her. “BULLSHIT! He could’ve died from how many times you have to put that in him!”

Hudson stepped in between Woods and Park. “Alright ENOUGH! Let’s just take a breather!”

Aleks was just looking at the gang back and forth before looking at Adler who was just standing there. “Adler…why would you do that? He TOLD us of where Perseus was at. And yet, you decided to…to KILL him?”

“That wasn’t my choice. He’s already on a death sentence under the hands of the CIA. It’s unfair, yes. Which is why Hudson wanted me to end him instead of them.”

“You CAN’T even think of another way to let him stay? O-Or let him walk freely just for a bit?”

“It’s not that simple Aleks-”

“It should’ve been simple!” Aleks yelled at Adler as tears slowly appeared into her brown sad eyes. She could feel a small pain piercing into her chest. “He TRUSTED us! He trusted KOA! He trusted CHARLES! He trusted WOODS! MASON! ME! EVERYONE in this fucking safe house!”

Everyone was looking at Aleks, seeing her for the first time being upset. Of course, she’s upset most of the time but not like this.

“¿¡¿CÓMO PUEDES HACERLE ESTO?!?” She walked up to him as she pushed him back. “¡¿POR QUÉ TIENES QUE HACER ESTO?!”

She started to hit him against his chest with her fist while still crying and yelling at him. Before Charles walked over and gently pulled Aleks away from him. He comforted her a bit before he gave a disappointed look at Adler.

Adler was just staring at Aleks who was crying as he was about to reach out to her. “I’m sorry…”

“No you’re not.”

Adler looked at Koa seeing him walking up to him. Lazar was about to grab Koa but stopped himself as he knew that the Captain needed to say something.

“You’re not SORRY because if you were you wouldn’t killed him.” Koa said as he blocked in front of Adler from Aleks. Towering over him again. He looked at the CIA Agent as he wanted to end him so badly. But Koa had been learning all of his life. Since the very beginning of him joining the army. He didn’t come this far to end with violence to someone who he was working with.

He took a deep breath as he slowly leaned back. “And even if you DIDN’T. You still won’t trust him.” He looked at Adler with sadden eyes before he slowly dug into his pocket and brought out the folded letter. The letter that he had found from his drawer.

Everyone was looking at Koa confusingly as they saw a paper in his hand.

Koa was just staring at the folded paper.

Breathing calmly before clutching onto it and looking Adler straight into his eyes. Through those ridiculous sunglasses “I’m done.”

Adler raised his eyebrows after hearing that from the Captain. “What?”

“I’m DONE. I’m done with this mission. I’m done with this war. I am done with you and your CIA bullshits.” Koa slowly looked at Adler with seriousness in his eyes. “I’m going back to New Zealand. Going back to the Army. And I would appreciate it if you NOT contact me. EVER.”

Adler was dumbfounded to hear this from Koa. It was unexpected that he would actually let one person who had passed. Could make him quit.

Koa then glared at Hudson. “I’m leaving tomorrow morning. I’m sure there are other people who would like to be your little PUPPET.”

Hudson was silenced when the Captain had pointed out to him. Which he looked away.

Koa kept his glare as he looked at Park and Sim. “I thought you guys knew better. Then being DESPERATE to solve or finding the answer.”

Sims rubbed behind his head and looked away. While Park looked at him with guilt as she rubbed her arm.

Koa sighed calmly before turning around to look at Woods and Mason. “Woods. Mason. It’s…an honor to be working with you both. I apologize that this meeting won’t last long.”

“Hey, we understand your struggles. And…we’re sorry that this is a twisted night.” Woods said as he put his hand out to the Captain. “It’s nice meeting you, Captain.”

Koa looked at Woods' hand and smiled at him a bit before shaking his hand.

Mason also did the same with Koa and gave him a hug after. He appreciated this from him.

So Koa leaned back and gave him a nod before walking over while looking at Lazar. “Lazar.”

“Captain. ….I…” Lazar was trying to find words to say but seemed like he was too ashamed to even speak.

But Koa understands and just gives him a reassuring smile before patting his shoulder. “It’s alright, Lazar. I’m not blaming you.”

Then he got to Charles and Aleks. He slowly looked down at the woman who was crying still. He could see pain in her eyes as if she was blaming herself for not knowing the truth.

“Aleks…” Before he could say anything else. He suddenly felt Aleks hugging him. Koa showed his expression of being worried for his dear friend. As he hugged her gently.

“Lo lamento…” Aleks said it between her sobbing.

It broke Koa’s heart to see this woman who he called sister like this. He gently leaned her back and placed his hand on her cheek before wiping her tears away. “No lo seas. No lo sabías.” He said it softly before smiling at her.

Aleks was still feeling guilty when she saw Koa’s soft smile. She just smiled back a bit before hugging him again.

He chuckled as he didn’t reject another hug. And saw Charles was fixing his glasses. “Are you crying?” Koa cooed at him in a teasing way.

“Tch. As IF. I just got something in my eye.”

“Uh huh. Riiiiiiiiiiight.”

The Captain chuckled as he saw the Professor walk over. Seeing him sigh before running his hand through his brown hair.

Aleks leaned back and wiped her tears before looking at the two.

Koa and Charles were just staring at each other. Despite them hating each other, teasing each other and even getting on each other’s nerves. Koa knows deep down that Charles cared.

“Soooo. Wanna hug it out?” Koa asked with a small smile.

Charles rolled his eyes as he fixed his glasses before putting his hand out to Koa. “A handshake would be sufficient.”

The Captain smiled a bit as he took the Professor’s hand and shook on it.

“As much…as I despise you from the very beginning. I will be missing your annoyance around here. It will be quiet without you.” Charles said as he looked into Koa’s eyes. As if he meant it really well.

“Getting soft on me, Charlie?” Koa said with a teasing grin.

“DON’T make me take my words back, Nakiu.”

Koa laughed a bit before smiling at Charles and then at Aleks. “I…I’m really glad that I have met you both.” He said it softly.

“We’ll see you tomorrow when you go out.” Aleks promised as she wanted to see her friend one last time before departure.

Koa just smiled at her. “I would like that.” Then he sighs before turning to face everyone. “I’ll pack my things.”

After that, Koa had left to go to his room to get his things. Of course, he doesn’t want to leave. He doesn’t want to go away after everything that they have been through.

With some laughter, arguments and working together.

But…

It wasn’t the same without that ONE person that he deeply cared for. Hoping it’ll give him a second chance to change once and for all. And now…he lost it. AGAIN. ----------------------

Harry Potter x COD

I REALLY love watching the Harry Potter Movie! Trying to read books about it but we don’t have it and I can’t order it because shipping from off-island to here is EXPENSIVE these days so I have to live off of the movies…

And also, I JUST remembered about an artist putting the COD characters into that AU! And I will show the list of those characters! (I only remembered SOME since I saw it like...last year? I think. And I forgot the name of the artist too...)

So here is what I remembered for the COD Characters being in Harry Potter AU:

Tiala - Student/Senior (7th Year)/Ravenclaw: Because of her smartness of planning something ahead. I think that Tiala will likely be fitting in the Ravenclaw house! She also plays quidditch for the Ravenclaw! Which I know we didn't SEE one of the Students from that house actually PLAY but I'm gonna put Tiala in there anyway. She'll be playing as a Chaser or a Beater!

Kanoa - Professor (Defense Against the Dark Arts)/Gryffindor: I see Kanoa being: 1) VERY confident 2)Wants to protect his friends and 3) Causes ALL the problems (Well...most of it). And I know that teaching that kind of subject is...kind of dangerous to learn but when you have Kanoa around! He'll make it somehow...FUN??? I don't know how this man got the students attention of teaching these subject. I'm sure if Hogwarts are doing the "Teacher of the Month". Kanoa will be taking the spotlights! HA!

Agnes - Student/Junior (6th Year)/Gryffindor: As always, Agnes being a chaotic girl and getting into trouble. Causing some explosions during Potions Class (Trying to make something explosive with it). But she will help and protect her friends from dangers. With her BOMBS!

Nigel - Student/Junior (6th Year)/Hufflepuff: I was thinking that Nigel has that LOYAL personality and since Hufflepuff is loyal. Why not put him there? I know he worked hard to help others as much as he can! Wanting to satisfy them! He plays in Quidditch as being the Chasers or the Seekers!

Aelan - Nurse: Aelan is a smart gal and she knows what she is doing. She used to be in the Ravenclaw House. And when she graduated, she decided to be in the nursing office to help and heal the students.

Callie - Student/Senior (7th Year)/Slytherin: I know she got that attitude from Graves and Graves IS a Slytherin too. So you bet that these two will be annoying ANYONE to death. (Her rivalry is with Tiala while Graves' rivalry is with Soap in this AU)

Rosa - Professor (Potions)/Ravenclaw: I believe Rosa will be fitting for Ravenclaw. Think of her as a smart gal with charms. Always a quick-thinker of going against her opponent! And also quite creative while teaching her students to get their attention!

Alana - School Counselor/Gryffindor: Making sure to help students and getting them out of trouble. AHEM- Agnes and Nigel- AHEM-

TRIVIA:

🔪 His temper started when his father went out to war and had NEVER come back. He thought that his father chose work over his own family. And that makes him angry so much that it causes an argument with his mother. Who was DEFENDING her husband. So he ran away at the age of 15.

🔪 Koa never dated another woman after that divorce he took. He wanted to but yet, he had a feeling for that ONE specific lady that he wished to get back to. And doesn’t know if she’ll take HIM back.

🔪 He is the CHAMPION of arm wrestling. No one in the base could beat him! (Unless you tired him out. Lol.)

🔪 He use to drink LOTS of alcohol when he was married AND after getting a divorced. But ever since he joined the army and after his Colonel had helped him out. He drinks tea. Still drinks alcohol but not much as he use to.

🔪 Koa is an excellent hunter. Knows how to be stealthy and knows when to strike. His Uncle taught him every weekend.

Background Story:

(WARNING: Might mention about Abused and Suicide)

Koa was born and raised in Queenstown, New Zealand. On July 31st, 1934. He was his parents' pride and joy ever since he came into this world.

Around 1939, his father had left to join the army. Fending off the Nazi Germany with the United Kingdom. He was 5-years-old. Leaving his mother and him behind.

And when Koa had turned 15-years-old. He kept questioning his mother very impatiently about when his own father would come back. Of course, he’s out there trying to protect their home. But Koa sounded pretty selfish enough that he thinks his own father wouldn’t even CARE in the world for his own family. His mother tried to reassure and reason with her son but because of his selfishness. He fled away from home. Not even looking back which hurts his mother’s aching heart. He fled from Queenstown, using his birthday money, to another place to stay. It’s still in the same town but he lived FAR away from where he used to live.

During that same year he ran away. He already got a decent part time job as an assistant in a mechanic shop. Surprisingly it was his Uncle (his dad’s brother) who owns the garage shop. He already told him about him running and he begged him to let him stay. Which the Uncle finally gave in and let him work for him. And had taught Koa as much as he could for him to stay home for homeschool lessons. Which he did pretty ok. And his Uncle would always take him hunting every weekend. That is their way of taking breaks. And when Koa was ABOUT to turn 16 the next year. His Uncle sadly passed away from illness and it really upset him that he has to lose another member of his family.

So after a few months, Koa is still working at the shop and that was when he met a woman who brought in a car with her older brother. He suddenly fell in love at first sight. And surprisingly so does she. The two often see each other from time to time and he found out that her name is Aroha, meaning “Love” in Māori. And Koa had decided to have the courage to ask her out. Which she gladly accepted but not her father. Her father had told Koa to never see his daughter again. He even gave him so much money for him to do so. But Koa didn’t. And so, he told Aroha to run away with him. He’ll leave his job to get a new one so they can live somewhere else. She hesitated at first but trusted him as the two already ran off without her family knowing. They have moved into Frankton. And decided to get married once they settle in.

Which they didn’t yet because of bylaws with the age. Koa was still 16 and Aroha was only 14. So they decided to wait until they’re old enough to get married. Koa was having a hard time to find a job that has good money in order for them to survive. But it’s even much harder when Aroha found out that she was pregnant. So Koa has to find a job FAST. And good thing that there were mechanic shops around. Since his past experience of working with his Uncle’s shop. He got hired as a mechanic and got paid pretty well. And started to take care of his family.

In July 1955, Koa and Aroha had finally gotten married LEGALLY in a court. With their two children besides them. The daughter is named Hana (5-years-old) and their baby son is named Kai (3-years-old). They have finally had their happy ending.

Until 1960, Aroha had gotten news that she’s having another baby. Which Koa was getting annoyed of and seeing their tight budget. So the most unusual words that he told his wife is to get RID of the third one. Which Aroha didn’t. And that’s when things got a bit violence from him. Koa had already been slapping Aroha across the face many times and was about to get rid of it himself. Until he finally gave in when his wife had begged him to let their unborn child live. So he did but it’s on HER now.

Ever since their third child was born, Koa has been going out with his coworkers. Drinking, hanging out and coming home late. Which really upsets Aroha. So once she confronted him, he was getting pissed off at her and yelling at her that it was HER fault. Arguing with her leads to violence. By being beat up and hitting her right in front of her two kids and the baby.

So they’ve been dealing with his anger issues for 5 years and it’s not getting any better. Almost every time he went out for drinks with his friends. He will always come back home in a VERY bad mood. So his wife and his children stay quiet. He even brought his friends into his own home. Without even thinking. Aroha was very uncomfortable at this because their kids were around but she can’t argue with him. Afraid that he might beat her up again.

That same year, Koa had come back home after drinking with his friend that night. And he suddenly heard his wife screaming. Instead of being annoyed by that scream. He suddenly felt his heart was racing. As if he felt something was wrong. So he ran through the house and went into the backyard where he heard his wife scream. And then froze at where he was standing. Saw his daughter had hung herself on the tree with the rope around her neck. His heart ached as he cried when he realized what he had done. She died at the age of 15. And that’s when Aroha had enough as she demanded a divorce with him. And she’s taking their two sons with her. He didn’t argue and just signed it before watching his family pack up and left.

Still the same year, Koa was still being a miserable man as he always was. Drinking so much, fighting in the bar and getting kicked out. Being jobless as well. He was so hopeless and was still living in the same old house where him and his family lived. He was just being drunk until he heard the door knocking. And when he got to the door, he saw a man in a uniform. A uniform he’s wearing for the army. Koa was confused as to why this man was here. This soldier introduced himself as Lieutenant Tāne Arapeta of the New Zealand Army. He wanted to recruit Koa to join the fight against Vietnam. His answer was obviously a NO. But when he heard this man mention his father. He found out that his father was a good friend of his back in the war where he went to. The two sat down and talked about it. Koa has been told the reason why his father hadn’t come back home was because he already passed during it. And he was trying to find his family to tell them the news but disappointingly he didn’t find them. Until one his father’s relatives had told him that they heard he already fled further down in town and it took a while for him to find Koa. And now here they are. Tāne had been telling him about his father being a great soldier. And he wished to come back home to meet the two of them again but…sometimes life wasn’t always so great to get what you wanted.

After some thoughts, Koa decided to join the army with the Lieutenant. And through some training after a few months. Koa has been chosen by Tāne to take his team of the SAS. To assist the Australian SAS Squadron at Nui Dat in 1966. That is how he met Craig (@kaitaiga OC) who is in charge of his own team. But only for a while when Craig had told him that he’s off to assist someone important which he can’t tell him because it’s classified. Koa understands and wishes him luck while he continues leading his men to fight and assist.

Until 1971, that is the year of the ending of the Vietnam War. Which means, Koa can go back to New Zealand. And he thinks that would be a great time to see his mother. But…he had found out that his mother had passed away a long time ago. Which pained his heart. And decided to live in his mother’s old house.

COLD WAR

A bit fast forward to 1981.

Koa had been serving in the New Zealand Army for a LONG time. And he had led his team to great victory through countless battles. Which led him to be the Captain of the NZ Army. And that’s when he caught the attention of the CIA.

Tāne, who is a Colonel now, had informed Koa that their General received a call from the US states. Asking for his assistance. Which is a surprise for him that someone from the US actually called a simple Māori man to help out. So he agreed to do this task and immediately left.

And joined in to meet the team in the safehouse.

Arthur's Note: Just to let you guys know. I made Koa's backstory as the inspiration from that movie that I've watched long time ago. Which it is called "Once Were Warriors". That's why I put it here in his story. It was very emotional and understanding about family and trying to learn to gain love again. And the only way to do that is that you need to change. And it's an ACTUAL Maori movies. But I don't know if that's an ACTUAL title since that was long time ago. It was sad... ANYWAY, hope you guys like Koa! (And don't worry, he's changing!)

Arthur’s Note: After watching that AWESOME trailer! I just wanted to do a small story or maybe a one shot about my Black Ops OC! I’m feeling so hyped up on how this one goes! Summary: Koa who was just spending time with his family. Who he had gotten back with again. Enjoying his off-time with his girlfriend (not being the wife YET for they were still divorced) and his two sons again. Until he got a call from his General wanting to talk about something. What is it that they’re going to talk about? Is it another mission threatening their home or is it someone else’s problem that he has to help out with? Let’s find out shall we?

Words: 3802

Clouds had darkened the blue sky during the day. As the rain poured onto the city of New Zealand. Where Koa had lived all of his life. Living in the house with his loving girlfriend who he had gotten back together after from the last mission he went to.

He was happy to see her and his two sons gathering in the living room. Watching the news on TV.

He was making some tea and some snacks for them as he took the tray. And walked over to them.

As he set it on the table and gave the cup of tea to Aroha, his girlfriend. He saw the news on the TV saying about the riot that is going on in America.

“It’s CHAOS over there…” Aroha said worryingly seeing how messy it was. She took a sip from her cup as she looked at her boyfriend. “Doesn’t this worry you?”

Koa sighed as he gave the snacks to his younger son, who was laying on the floor while drawing, and gave the other one to his eldest son. “Kind of but don’t actually care. And that’s the thing about these Americans. Always causing chaos with NO reason.”

He grabbed his tea as he took a sip from his cup and pulled Aroha closer to him. He smiled at her. “But I’m not worried right now since I’m safe here with you and our boys.” Then he leaned closer and kissed softly on her cheek. “Mostly with you.”

Aroha giggles, feeling his lips against her cheek and then her head. “Oh stop it you.”

Their eldest son, named Kai, gagged playfully at the sight of his parents giving each other affection. “Gross! Get a ROOM, you two!”

The youngest son, named Ari, giggled a bit and also gagged. “Yeah! Get a ROOM!”

The couple chuckled to see the boy's reaction of them showing their love. Koa smirked at the two playfully before continuing to kiss Aroha on the lips.

The boys gagged even more before Kai covered his little brother’s eyes.

Aroha giggled at her lover’s playfulness before she joined in.

“Can you give us a BREAK?! We’re young over here!” Kai complained as he tried to look away from this sick love scene.

Koa leaned back and grinned at him. “You might act like this as well once you get a girlfriend.”

His eldest son rolled his eyes before they all heard the house phone rang. Kai went to get it as he walked to where the phone was hanging on the wall.

It kept ringing before he picked it up.

“Hello?”

Koa let his lover lean onto him as he glanced at his older son talking on the phone.

“...um…ok. Hold on.” Kai looked towards the living room before calling out. “Hey dad! Someone is on the phone for you!”

Koa turned his head to where Kai was at. And then looked at Aroha before kissing her head as he said to her that he’ll be back. She nodded and removed herself for him to get up. And let her youngest son come up on the couch with her.

Koa slowly walked over as Kai handed him the phone. He told him to go sit with his mother before answering the phone.

“Hello?”

“Captain Nakiu? It’s General Akahata.”

Koa felt surprised to hear his General’s voice through the line. “General? Why are you calling and how did you know my number?”

“I have my ways, Nakiu. But I need to tell you something. It’s important.”

“Oh um…of course, sir. Say it away.”

“An old comrade of yours is coming in around midnight. To give you a message about the mission that I…hope that you’ll accept and understand.”

Koa was confused at the General’s words. “Sir, I don’t understand. I thought the mission that I took two weeks ago is my LAST one. And I just started my leaves.”

“I know. But this is important, Colonel. And it’s not my choice to tell them that you don’t want to.”

“Then who am I going to speak with?”

“…it’s best for you to talk to them once your comrade comes.”

“Sir?”

“Just talk to them, Nakiu. And if you choose to deny it. Then say so to THEM. Is that clear?”

“…yes, sir.”

Then he heard the General sigh softly on the other line of the phone. As he’s feeling old already. “And please…don’t make heated arguments with them. I’ll be going now. Have a nice day, Captain.”

“You too, sir.”

Soon he heard the General hung up before Koa slowly placed the phone back on the wall. He took a deep sigh before looking towards where his girlfriend and their sons were at.

He slowly walked over and leaned over the couch from behind as he smiled at them. “I’m back.”

Aroha looked up at him and smiled softly. “Hey.”

He saw Ari was already asleep in her arms and felt his own heart being touched. Then saw Kai was also asleep while sitting on the floor, laying his back against the couch in front of her.

“I guessed my snacks had put them to sleep.” Koa said with a light chuckle. As he gently traced his fingers on Ari’s little head.

Aroha giggles a bit. “Seems like I have taught you well on cooking huh?” She gently held Koa’s hand after he withdrew it from Ari. “Who was that on the phone?”

She noticed his expression when she mentioned it. She knows something is wrong. “Honey?”

Koa turned his head to look at her. “Oh um…that was…” He was trying to avoid telling her about his work. For he did promise that the last mission he went to would be the LAST time for him to go.

But he also knows that he can’t lie to her either. So he took a deep breath as he held onto her hand tightly. “That was my General. He said that one of my old comrades will be coming here at midnight to discuss with someone about…the mission.”

Aroha raised her eyebrow as she felt a bit surprised at this news. “But…I thought you’re not going back until in two months...”

“I know, pepi (baby). And he said that I can deny it if I want to. Depending on whatever dangerous mission they’ll put me in.”

“Then DENY it. You’ve worked so much.” Aroha pleaded. She gave him a concerned look as she gently tightened her grip onto his hand.

Koa sighs softly. “I need to see if this IS important. If not then I’ll deny it right away.” He leaned down over the couch and gave her a soft kiss on the head. “I promise.”

Aroha sighs through her nose as she calms down a bit. She understands her husband’s work but…she JUST got him back. Even their past relationship wasn’t so good. She saw how much he changed after joining the army.

And now he came back to her. Being a different man that she never knew he could. She softly removed her hand from his and placed it onto his cheek. As her thumb gently stroked against it. She looked into her lover’s eyes. As if she hopes that he’ll understand how SHE feels.

She doesn’t need to say it. For Koa could read well from her. He knows that she’ll ache if he leaves. But he also knows whatever missions that his General will send. It must be important.

11:50PM

Queenstown, New Zealand

Aroha was in the room, checking on their sons in each of their rooms. Smiling softly before walking back to Koa, who was sitting at the dining table. She saw him staring at the clock that was on the wall. Seeing the second hand was moving inch by inch in seconds.

She could tell that he’s feeling a bit anxious. Before she started to walk over. The two turned their heads towards the door, hearing the doorbell ringing.

Koa looked at Aroha. “Wait inside the room, pepi.” He told her with his soft voice.

Before she watched him stood up from his seat and walked over to the door. She slowly turned around and walked to the room as she glanced back. Before seeing Koa opening the door.

She quickly went inside the room but left the door crack open. She took a peek through it as she was curious of who was at the door.

“Sergeant Eruera? The General sent YOU?”

A young man, who looked to be in his 20s, showed a respectful smile towards the captain. He saluted in front of him. “Yes, sir! I am your old comrade, sir!”

The two were just staring at each other before laughing a bit. The two shared a hug while Koa patted his back.

“My god, it’s been a while!” Koa said with such relief in his tone. To see an old familiar face.

The Sergeant leaned back as he gave the old Captain a big old smile. “It HAS been, sir! And I’m so happy to see you!”

“Please, no need to be formal. I’m out of work.” Koa stepped aside for him to come inside. While Aroha was still watching. Being quiet so they won’t hear her.

As soon the Sergeant walked inside, Koa closed the door and locked it before getting a good look at him. “Look at you, Haimona! Getting taller! Almost to my height actually.” He smiled as he used his hand to measure between him and the Sergeant.

Haimona, who is the Sergeant, laughed a bit as he pushed Koa’s hand down. To stop him from teasing him about his height. “Yeah, I am.” He smiled softly at his Captain, after a long time from his long lasting mission. “Really miss you, Koa. Thought you will never come back from that mission in America.”

Koa chuckled a bit as he nodded. “Yeah…me too.”

There was a moment of silence between them before Haimona breaked the atmosphere between them. “Sir, General Akahata gave me this cell phone for you to call them.”

He gave him the phone as Koa took it. Aroha saw the phone as well and felt a bit confused as to why he would give him the phone.

The Captain looked at this phone before looking back at his Sergeant. “What’s the number?”

Haimona brought out the paper and gave it to him. Aroha could see the paper being handed to her boyfriend as she kept quiet.

And saw Koa looking at the piece of paper before dialing it. She could hear the phone ringing as she saw him laying it on the table and putting it on speaker.

Koa lay both of his hands on the table while leaning forward a bit. The two were waiting for the call to be answered before they heard a voice coming through after the fourth ring.

“Hello?” It was a female voice with a British accent.

Koa paused for a bit after hearing that familiar voice. “...Hello?”

“Captain Nakiu? Is that you?”

“Yes. This is him. Who is this?”

There was silence on the phone. After a few seconds, she answered.

“It’s Park. Helen Park.”

Koa raised his eyebrows in surprise before standing up as his expression changed from being surprised into annoyance. “What the fuck do you want, Park?”

The Sergeant felt a bit awkward to see his Captain looking so pissed already. Even Aroha felt surprised to see him like this.

“I thought I told you and the others to NEVER contact me.”

“I know! I know! But this is important! And we need-”

“NO.”

“Please! Just listen to me! It’s-”

“I said NO, Park. You and the others had done enough damage with ME around. So I’m not taking PARTS of it. Goodbye.”

“Wait! Nakiu!”

Koa was about to hang up before someone else called through the line.

“Not even for ONE minute to hear the reason, NAKIU?” A male voice had asked.

He paused. His hand stopped from reaching for the phone.

Haimona looked at Koa. Seeing him freeze like that. “Sir?”

Koa slowly put his hand down onto the table after hearing that voice. The voice he thought that he’ll never hear again. “Charles…?”

“Yes, Nakiu. It’s me. I’m with Park right now. And…she told me about this mission.”

“...why ARE you with her? Thought you don’t want NOTHING from them.”

“And you’re right, but…she has my attention when she mentions someone.”

Koa looked at Haimona, seeing his confused expression. Before looking back at the phone. “Who?”

“It’s Aleks.”

Koa’s eyes widened after hearing that name. “What? What happened? Is she okay? Is she hurt? Why is she INVOLVED with this?!”

Charles sighs to hear the Captain’s worried reaction. “CALM down, Nakiu. She’s alright. It’s just…Park had a feeling that Aleks was trying to find Adler. You saw the news didn’t you?”

Koa nodded. “Yes. Which was CHAOS. But what Adler?”

That’s when Park jumped in to answer. “He hadn’t responded to ANY of our calls or messages. And Aleks is being paranoid at the moment. So the first person that I could think of is…you.”

The Captain stood there silently as he processed what she said. Before sighing in annoyance. “Was he being kidnapped again? Because if he is then I’ll-”

“It’s not that, Koa. He’s gone rogue. Even Woods.”

Koa felt a bit surprised at this. Not for Adler but for Woods. “What? How? Why is Woods part of this?”

“I…I don’t know. Not even Charles could find out.”

“Ok. But where’s Mason, Hudson and the others? Why aren’t THEY helping the two?”

Koa was silenced from the phone. As if the two were trying to say something before answering that question. “Park? Moore?”

“Koa…Mason and Hudson…were KIA. From one of the missions.”

Haimona could see Koa’s reaction. With widened eyes.

“What?”

Park sighed. “The two of them had died by the hands of that man named Menendez. But that would be another time. For OUR time is ticking. We just need your assistant, Nakiu. To help Charles and Aleks on this mission. To help us locate Adler.”

Koa was silenced after hearing all of that. He had never felt so shocked to hear the news of his dearest friend, not HUDSON though, had…died. The thought of Woods losing his friend from that mission. Made him feel sad for him.

But the thought of Adler. The man of whom he DESPISED ever since that day of finding out of him UNALIVING someone. UNALIVNG someone who he promised to help and protect. UNALIVING someone who he called them his own blood. But yet…he was too late to save them. All because of that man with a scar on his face and wearing sunglasses.

Charles heard no response from Koa. Which he knows that the Captain is still deciding. He sighed before speaking up. “Koa…I understand that you and Adler have…a DIFFICULT relationship. And so have I. With you as well.”

Koa rolled his eyes at that last sentence but continued to listen.

“But Aleks TRULY needed our help. Don’t you want to help her?”

Koa thought about it but then thought about his family. As he looked at the family photo of his girlfriend, his two sons and him. The photo which they took after being accepted again into the family. And then saw the photo of his daughter next to it. He thought about it so deeply. He sighed.

Aroha, who was still in the room and was listening, could see Koa’s expression. She could tell that he was going to deny it. They may not know how Koa reacted but she USED to marry him. And she knows him LONG enough. And also, remembering him talking about his old friends. She had never seen him change SO much because of them. Even seeing him looking so happy when he talks about them.

Knowing that he was the only child in his family and never had any other siblings. And dealing with his father after his mother had passed.

Imagining him being broken because of his father before marrying to her. And she knows that it’ll break him even more if he doesn’t decide to help his old friends. So she quickly got out of the room and walked towards him.

“I’m sorry, Charles…but I-”

“Honey?”

Koa and Haimona turned their heads to see Aroha standing there.

His eyes widened to see her before walking up to her.

“Aro? Pepi (Baby), what are you doing still up?”

Aroha looked up at him into his eyes before gently touching his hand. “Can we…talk?”

Koa saw how serious she looked but in a worried way. He looked at his Sergeant asking him to let them know that he’ll be back.

Haimona nodded and started to talk with them while Koa took Aroha into the hallway.

He turned to look at her. “Something wrong?”

She slowly shook her head before she looked back to see Haimona was still talking on the phone with those people. And then looked back to look into her lover’s eyes. As much as she doesn’t want him to go but she doesn’t want him to live with the regret of not helping his friends who are so close to him.

“You should go.”

Koa’s eyebrows rose after hearing that. He was surprised. “What? Why?”

“Koa…don’t you care for your friends?”

“......Yes.”

“And do you wish for them to suffer all because of that ONE person who you will not forgive?”

“What? No!”

“Then GO.”

“Aro-”

Aroha took both of his hands. “Koa…you can’t just stop helping people all because of that ONE person that you can’t forgive.”

“Yeah, but he-”

“I’m not done.” Then she moved her hands up slowly from his hand and up to his face to cup his cheeks. “Koa, do you remember when you asked for MY forgiveness?”

He was silenced for a bit as he looked into his lover’s eyes. Those sweet brown eyes. As he slowly nodded.

“And I forgive, haven't I? I forgave you for I saw how much you’ve changed. And proven to me that you REALLY want to get back together not only for my sake but for the boys as well. And look how much you’ve gotten so close with them again.”

Koa was silenced after hearing all of that as he glanced away. Feeling uncertain.

“Hey, look at me.”

He slowly looked back at his lover and saw her soft smile.

“You don’t have to forgive him right away. But…can you TRY? For me and your friend?” Aroha pleaded with him as she rubbed his rough goatees.

Koa leaned into her soft touch as he sighed calmly. And looked back down to her soft gaze. Seeing that reminded him of those wedding nights that they used to have. Oh how much he missed those nights.

So he touched one of her hands and kissed her palm before looking at her. “If you’re sure, pepi.”

“I’m certainly sure, taku aroha (my love).” She said with a sweetest smile that he missed seeing.

Koa smiled back before kissing her lips as she did it back. Before leaning back and lay his forehead against hers. “I promise this time. That I’ll be back and I’m all yours.”

“Better keep that promise or I’ll have to rethink our relationship.”

Koa chuckled as he kissed her nose before walking back to where his Sergeant was at. And seeing him still talking with Park and Charles on the phone.

“Haihana, maku e whakahaere. (Sergeant, I’ll take over)” Koa told Haimono before seeing him nodded and stepped back before he got to the phone that was on the table.

“Captain?” Park started to call out for Koa through the line.

The Captain started to sigh as he looked back to see Aroha was standing nearby in the hallway. Seeing her soft smile before nodding.

He took a deep breath. “When do you need me?”

He heard the silence again from the phone. Knowing that they’re surprised by his answer.

“ASAP.” Park said before he heard Charles talking through the line.

“And you BETTER not be late or I’ll kick your ass for it.”

Koa chuckled deeply. “If you can even REACH, hoa (friend).”

“Shut up. Anyway, there will be a private plane at your base in New Zealand. They are on their way. So might as well get packing.” Charles said while Koa nodded.

“Sure. See you soon. And Charles?” He heard Charles humming in response. “Glad to hear from you again.”

“......same here, Koa. We’ll see you soon.”

Soon he hung up the phone before Koa leaned back from the table and sighs. And looked at Haimona. “Tēnā koe, Haihana. (Thank you, Sergeant).”

The Sergeant nodded with a small smile. “Of course, sir. And…do you need any assistance with this mission?” He gave the Captain a smile as if he was pleading to come along.

“Negative, Sergeant.”

“But sir-”

“Ko taku tikanga, Haihana. (I mean it, Sergeant)” Koa said with seriousness in his tone. Haimona caught that and understood before nodding.

“Sorry, sir…”

Koa sighed before looking at Aroha. Nodding her to come.

She walked over before feeling his arm wrapped on her waist. “Koa?”

He smiled softly at her before looking at Haimona. “Don’t take this the wrong way, Sergeant. But…”

Haimona saw his Captain looking saddened as he continued to listen to his words.

“I have lost too many people that I’ve known and cared for. Too many who were still alive who moved away from me and too many who already died under MY watch.” Koa looked at him with his pleading eyes to his Sergeant and begged him to understand. “So please…toku hoa (my friend). Understand that I’m saying this to you NOT because you’re not ready. But because this mission is too hard for me to handle if I lose another one who is so close to me.”

Haimona looked at his eyes, seeing the truth through it. And he clearly understands how his Captain has been going through. “Understood, sir. And I’ll be waiting for you when you come back.” He smiled at Koa before standing firm and saluting to him.

Koa smiled back at him before sighing as he looked at Aroha. “I’ll be seeing you when I get back.”

She nodded and quickly gave him a peck on his lips before smiling softly. “I believe you.”

After that night, Koa had already packed his things and went to kiss his boy's head, who are still asleep, without waking them up. As much as it pains him to leave them without explanation and hopefully they’ll understand.

But thanks to Aroha reassuring him that she’ll explain to them. And gave each other one last kiss before he walked with the Sergeant to head to the base of where his mission begins.
