Clothing Accents:

Kassandra Stephens: It's a bit odd, because she likes baggy clothing that accents her body type. As long as her back isn't exposed, she's pretty much okay with whatever.

Jaynie Howell: Mask it. She's comfortable in her own body, but doesn't want other people to stare at her body.

Leon Warner: Accent it. He put in some work to make his body look better, and whenever he's not wearing a jacket of some kind, he likes wearing shirts that make his arms look bigger.

Corey Stephens: Much like his sister, he's fine with whatever, but it leans more on the side of accenting his body type.

First, I absolutely love what I've read so far of the Autumn in Philedelphia series (and I want my life to calm down so I can pick it up again), and I never thought that the silly little story that I wrote would be added to the series! Original Character: Kassandra "Kass" Stephens.

A vertical scar on the right end of her lips. Both ears are pierced.

Day:

An outfit like this is her signature look:

Bling:

She typically always has an earring in her right ear, either a stud or a huggie (I hope that's the right term). No necklace or rings.

Hair:

Short red hair that she lets grow to her shoulders before cutting it. Like this:

Makeup:

I am no real expert on this. I'd say at least enough to cover any noticeable signs of sleep deprivation, but really couldn't say beyond that.

Jaya fell in love first, but stayed quiet because she didn't want to ruin her friendship with Kass.

Jaya. Kass feels like telling Jaya that she loves her all the time is a bit overwhelming, but Jaya always wants Kass to know how much she loves her.

🥕 Who is more cuddly in the ship? And does the other character mind it?

Surprisingly, it's Kass. What she doesn't say verbally, she says with her actions. Plus, she likes curling up into a ball, and loves when she gets to curl up beside Jaya.

4: Preferred weather?

Kass doesn't care as long as it's not a storm (trauma).

Jaya prefers cloudy days with a next gentle breeze, it's easier to be outside and work in that sort of weather for her.

9: How would they hold up in a pillow fight.

Kass is the pillow equivalent of the Doom Slayer, attacking without mercy.

Jaya is the one who gets two weak hits in and then collapses in a fit of giggles for the next ten minutes.

12: Something small they enjoy.

Kass enjoys being able to bundle up in a blanket whenever possible. She's like a cryptid, roaming around the house wrapped up like a burrito XD

Jaya enjoys just being outside. She could be simply taking a nap out on the back patio, and she'd still love it!

17: What's something they like that may be surprising to others?

Kass actually likes cooking. Sure, it's mainly breakfast food, but she takes every opportunity to cook something. Does she share food? Eh.

Jaya likes being social, she's just reluctant about going out all the time. Calling her shy doesn't really fit, it's more of Jaya casts a vibe check and doesn't like what she sees, so she doesn't go XD

21: Do they get lost easily? Will they ask for directions if they are?

Neither of them get lost easily, and while both will ask for directions if they do get lost, Kass is 100% a back seat navigator.

A ship I have with said character: I ship Kass with another OC of mine, Jaynie "Jaya" Howell.

A BROTP I have with said character: Kass and Leon Warner, another OC, who she views as a pseudo-brother later on in the story.

A NOTP I have with said character: It's my OC World, and the only ships that exist are the ones I create!

A random headcanon: She makes waffles every weekend, but not in the morning. She's up at like 9 pm just cranking out a batch of chocolate chip waffles.

4: What’s a hobby they used to have that they miss?

Watching cartoons on weekend mornings with her family. It was never really the same after her mom died, and eventually it stopped being a family hobby.

9: Do they give tough love or gentle love most often? Which do they prefer to receive?

Kass is very much a tough love person, and prefers tough love to gentle love. She'd rather there be no room for misinterpretation, but still understands how to be considerate of other's feelings.

13: When do they fake a smile? How often?

Most of the time, really. She would rather people not ask her what she's going through, so she's all fake smiles around everyone who isn't a close friend or family member.

29: How do they respond when someone doesn’t believe them?

Kass immediately tries to convince them to believe her, but will eventually call it quits and continue without them.

Hmm.

Probably her mom, Liezel Howell. Jaya's mom is her most steadfast role model, and always accepted her daughters for who they were! Kassandra Stephens is a close second, though, for reasons.

The poems she wrote as a kid. Her older sister, Rosalie, found her journal once and Jaya nearly imploded with embarrassment. Now, the journals that she didn't burn are hidden under lock and key.

(Rosalie took pictures and sent them to Leon. Not to be cruel, because she wanted to support her sister and knew Leon would also be supportive.)

A soft blue.

Gentle, easy, comforting, just like Jaya. She's someone who helps support people as best she can.

But I like what you did with her art. She likes different shades of pink to wear, but doesn't wear it all that often. Something something she's tired of hearing about the "Girls wear pink" thing.

Actually liking math. Jaya likes doing number work, and no one else really gets that.

Like, Hide and Seek and tracing a path?

Jaya is a solid B-tier Hide and Seek player. She has good spots, but she's never going to be the last one found.

As for finding her way, she's okay with remembering where she's been and tracing a path back using points of interest.

13: How does she feel about physical contact by others?

She only allows people she knows to touch her. Which is funny, because I have a scene in mind of Kassandra and Leon meeting for the first time, and he rests his elbow on her shoulder while talking to someone else. He promptly gets shoved away, but later on down the line Kassandra lets the same thing happen without batting an eye.

Jaynie Howell:

Personal pictures, yes. Pictures that are posted onto social media she's a bit more wary of.

Corey Stephens:

Corey had a phase when he was like 11 where he tried to constantly annoy Kassandra by playing nothing but 90s Boy Band music, and it rotted his brain to the point that it's his favorite music genre.

Leon Warner:

Hey, Annie! Thank you so much for the asks! I think I'll use one of the brand new OCs that I'm developing for my next original work on Ao3 (Which I'll try to give future updates on that as they come)!

The OC in question, for a reference:

1. What’s their full name? Why was that chosen? Does it mean anything?

Her full name is Kassandra Lian Stephens, and it wasn't chosen for any particular reason. I decided on a "K" name for her based on a dream I had the other night, and I really liked "Kassandra"/"Kass", and then I just random name generated the last name. For the middle name, I made that up on the spot XD

4. What is their relationship with their parents? What’s a good and bad memory with them? Did they know both parents?

Kass has, or rather, had a great relationship with both her mother and father when she was a child, but that changes with the bad memory with them. When she was a kid, Kass' house was invaded in the middle of the night by a "thief" who ended up killing her mother and giving Kass the scar over her mouth, which ends up being the motivation for the story.

14. Do they have any specific memories of food/a restaurant/meal?

For right now, no. Granted, I haven't developed the story all that much, so this answer could be subject to change.

20. Do they like musicals? Music in general? What do they do when they’re favourite song comes?

Kass is the type of character who listens to music so that she can drown out the world around her and be alone with her thoughts. Her favorite song would probably be something angsty, so she'll just loop it and lay on the floor like Lilo XD

So this is an idea that I fell asleep with last night! I'm going to have some sort of party down the line in the story, but Kass only goes to interrogate a suspect in her investigation of her mom's murder. Ultimately, she hates being around so many people being loud and in a confined space all at once, but she actually is convinced to go because of her friend, Jaynie (Referenced mostly as "Jaya" in my notes and everywhere else XD)
