STORY

"Val'ty (Jez'rathki) was investigating the source of the earthquakes threatening her homeland, the city of Tu'narath in the astral plane. 

Following a clue, the Vlaakith's devotee got her hands on a heretical Githyanki disc revealing that Susurrus (Her Queen's palace) is the culprit for the series of tragedies on her land.

However, reporting the findings to his superiors led to the end of the research, the destruction of the disk, and an unfortunate visit from the Queen's inquisitors.

Soon, evidence of Jez'rathki's treason surfaced.

Now, rescued from near death and brought back by rebels, Jez'rathki wakes up in a strange stronghold, but one thing is certain, she still knows the disk's truth, but not sure of what to do with the dangerous information."

2. Describe their tent setup! What’s on the outside? The inside? I picture Ka'zalii's tent being a sort of a frame shape with one of those canopy bits on the outside. A nice closed off place to sleep, with furs and a bedroll. Room enough for some slates for night time reading and comfortable rest. He's totally a splays out across the entire bed kind of guy when he sleeps. Under that little canopy outside, there's rugs, blankets, furs etc for sitting. (expanded for more people as the story goes on) A pile of favourite snacks, wine and started letters written in tir'su. The letters would be interactable and depending on approval, will get a varied level of annoyance in response. 11. Comfort food? He traveled the astral sea for a bit, until he found a place to settle more permanently, so he's had a bit of exposure to more interesting food. His absolute favourite are Neogi legs. Not exactly common on Faerun, so crustaceans are a decent enough subsitute. 27. What is the worst thing they’ve ever done/said to someone they love? Probably a fairly typical one for a githyanki childhood, but one particular incident of culling stands out. There was another magic user in his clutch. They were of a similar skill level and bonded over mutual magic, even entertained the idea they could support each other. They would have been 13 at this point. They were ordered to face each other and fight to the death, it was not clean. It stuck with Ka'zalii and the memory of it would reinforce his decision to leave years later.

5. Idle animations! Okay so, I always figured Ka'zalii to be less restless than the default foot tapping animations convey. He'd be doing some stretches, tracing runes in the air, that sort of thing. There'd be a bonus one with him conjuring a flame that explodes and makes him jump, cause wild magic. 15. Is your Tav more likely to fight/flight/freeze/fawn? Definitely fight, it's just drummed in to githyanki upbringing so much. Especially in the context of BG3's story. He's on a planet he's never visited, with people he's never met, an unwelcome passenger in the brain and his magic feels like it's as uncontrollable as ever. Hackles are going to be raised at first. He'll be more willing to talk things out later on, much to Lae'zel's disgust of course. 25. What is something they would die on a hill over? Defending kin regardless of percieved weakness. His own wild magic caused enough problems growing up for him to be eventually seen as a hindrance. If his magic couldn't be controlled well enough, then he was no use and his days were numbered basically. He left his creche in his late teens via a spelljammer dropping off supplies and hasn't looked back. Meeting Vaarl in Y'llek kind of reinforced his ideals and I think after the events of the game, he'll make a point of searching out 'strays' like himself and offering them a different life.

@tav-dex was the motivation I needed to put a ref together for my alien apparently. So here he is, here is my favourite child. Tumblr is going to ruin my colours I know it.

Couple of uninteresting things: -Hails from creche Xal'i'n orbiting the planet Remichi -Left his creche at 17 because his wild magic was becoming a big problem, turns out you can't just beat wild magic out of someone, who knew. -Wandered the astral with various pirate crews until being recruited by a member of the Sha'sal Khou. -That sword is one he has forged after the events of BG3, it's called Mirhanac Zvir -He likes collecting gems for future armour decoration, his favourites are amethysts and onyx. -His favourite food is neogi. -His magic surges turn him into a cat all the damn time. (four times in one fight during my playthrough, he must live with the consequences now)
