JOHN LAWERENCE TURNER (UK edition)

— John is a posthumous recipient of the Purple Heart award which his older sister, Dorothy accepted on his behalf. He was awarded it because of his injuries and later death in the line of service. He was shot down over the south of France while piloting a plane to bomb some railroads. He witnessed several Nazi atrocities against civilians and was rescued by the French underground. John was subsequently smuggled out of France through the Pyrenees Mountains by a young woman. It was just before the line between France and Spain that they were attacked and John’s fatal wound was acquired.

— John was raised by his older sister starting at the age of nine. His father died in 1918 as a result of injuries acquired in the Great War. His mother died in 1927 from tuberculosis. His sister, Dorothy, was born in 1908 making her nine years older than John.

— John has an exceptionally mild case of hemophilia and this is where medical inaccuracies will happen because he needs to live to die at Button House.

— In the day before his death, John met the Captain. As such, the Captain was always nervous that John would identify him as a fraud. John has no memory of meeting the Captain as he was delirious with fever, infection, and blood loss.

— John is incredibly polite and calls most women “madam” and men “sir.”

— John’s maternal grandfather came from a legacy of abolitionists in North Carolina and he had relatives who fought for the Union in the US’s civil war. His father’s side of the family immigrated from England in the mid-1800s.

— John’s Air Force rank was Private First Class. He often introduces himself as Private First Class John Turner.

— I still haven’t decided where exactly in the US John is from (as he’s American) but I’m leaning towards either Pennsylvania or New York State.

— John gets along best with Pat, the Captain, and Kitty (she’s his love interest!). He does not get along with Julian, who represents everything that John hates in leadership.

JACQUELINE ELIZABETH “JACKIE” STERLING (US edition)

— Jackie had always dreamed of becoming a pediatrician. She had always wanted to help people and as she grew older, she realized that she wanted to help kids more than anyone else.

— Jackie was often the only woman in her med school classes as she attended med school in the early 1990s.

— Jackie has a younger sister.

— Jackie is allergic to shellfish. It’s this allergy that results in her death as Jackie’s epi-pen fails at a party hosted by David Woodstone. She didn’t even want to come to the party in the first place. Also, I’m low-key thinking that Jackie was actually murdered and it wasn’t an accident.

— Jackie gets along pretty well with everyone at Woodstone. It’s Trevor who she struggles to the most, and that’s only because he flusters her but she doesn’t realize that and he’s also oblivious towards his own feelings about Jackie.

What is/are your OC’s nickname(s) and how did it come about?

His nickname is V. He likes that little bit of anonymity when introducing himself to clients. Comes from when he was a baby and couldn't say his name properly.

Nova is for friends only. Sometimes Jackie would call him "Super Nova" when he was mad.

What is the color of your OC’s eyes/hair/skin?

Bright blue hair and violet eyes. Slightly tanned skin.

How tall is your OC?

About 175cm (5'8")

What is a noticeable physical attribute of your OC?

The hair lmao. His tattoos, the cybernetics on his cheeks and the shiny black "gorilla arms" upgrades.

What does your OC normally wear?

His casual look is the Samurai jacket from Rogue, a pair of black jeans with a gorgeous red rose pattern, boots, plus Johnny's singlet and sunglasses.

If he's feeling a bit fancier, he'll wear a nice black and white dress shirt with slacks.

What would your OC wear on a special night?

Nothing 😏😉

Same as the fancy outfit above, but add a bright red tie and a red ribbon hat for some oomph.

What was your OC’s childhood like?

He can't remember, but luckily as his creator, I can give him all the hidden angst I want 😏. Born into a military family, began training as a very young boy, was built to be a weapon basically. His mother was always kind and compassionate, while his father was a pillar of support, but he pushed for him to be a powerful killer.

What is your OC’s strongest childhood memory? Why and how as that impacted him/her?

Going with his parents to an extravagant gala. Many leaders of the Russian union were there and that's the first time a young man met the influencial soldier known as Perseus.

What is your OC’s imagination like?

Hmm average? He can plan missions and think outside the box very well.

(Definitely not as wild as mine lmao)

How many times did your OC move as a child?  Which area was his/her favorite?

Not much, though they did travel between military bases and encampments sometimes with his father. His favourite was Lake Baikal. It's a beautiful place.

What does your OC think of children- either in general or about having them?

They're okay when they're quiet. He doesn't want any for himself.

What kind of mother/father would your OC be?

Tbh, probably not a good one. Sterling struggles when it comes to gentleness and care and teaching. He'd be more comfortable in the role of "uncle who brings gifts from his travels".

Who are your OC’s closest relatives?

Mother and father, and depending on the AU, Perseus.

Who is/are your OC’s closest friend(s)?

Park, Mason, Sims and Lazar.

Who are the people your OC surrounds him/herself with?

People he has to work with mostly. He doesn't trust easily and it takes a long time for him to consider those surrounding him as friends.

Hudson and the President.

brief summary: jackie sterling had once been a promising pediatrician. that had all fallen apart when a former friend insisted that jackie come to a party at woodstone manor. an accidental contamination of shellfish and failed epi-pen later, jackie was suddenly staring at an odd group of people which included a man with an arrow, a revolutionary war soldier, and a 1920s singer. it took a while for jackie to get used to her new life as a ghost, alongside the newest ghost, trevor lefkowitz, who seems to insist on flirting with her. then, nearly two decades later, a new couple moves into the manor with the biggest twist ever… the wife is suddenly able to see ghosts and nothing will ever be the same again. especially as jackie suddenly finds herself missing trevor’s old flirting which is much more distressing than it probably should be.
