Official Hero Costumes

Part 1

These are the last hero costumes post Imma make bc I finally know what the hell I'm doing. Most of these apply for both BNHAverse and Giftedverse. Also, if my artist mutuals want to take some creative liberties they can.

Joou Hitsugaya | Splendor

Splendor is a very versatile woman in the sense that she never wears the same hero costume everyday. But one thing they have in common is that they look like designer outfits one could find on the runway.

Joou's most notable costume consists of a white cold shoulder dress with diamonds sewn into it. The dress features slits that allow for easier movement. Her white boots are designer. Her costume also features different pieces of armor such as gauntlets, pauldrons, and more.

Irefumi Hitsugaya | Inkstain

Irefumi's costume sticks to their punk roots and is quite revealing in male hero outfit terms. It consists of a black jean vest with several different pins, spikes, and their hero symbol on the back (they'd go entirely shirtless if it weren't for the restrictions). The vest is always open for easy Quirk use. Furthermore, they also wear red plaid jeans and a pair of black combat boots. They also wear a red domino mask.

Shukara Inoue/Chuso Mejia | Chargeman

Shukara/Chuso has a flair for the dramatic, which is fitting considering he's also a well-known wrestler. His costume is a skintight royal blue catsuit with a deep V neck exposing his chest (boobs out city). The catsuit also features built-in gold shoulder and knee pads as well as fringes of the same color. His boots are the same royal blue color and has jewels in it.

Sorami/Oya Amarai | Stormchaser

Oya/Sorami's costume is simple with a weather reporter motif. Sorami/Oya wears a dark blue bodysuit with shorts, black boots, and clear raincoat. Around her waist is a stylish utility belt that she can also store her umbrella in.

Kagehiko Ankokugai | Hades

Kagehiko's costume is probably one of the most difficult to pinpoint but I'm gonna try my best. His costume consists of a black skintight spandex suit with a white skeletal design, tattered red waist cape with silver chain belts, and black boots. He also wears a dark red cape with skull shaped buttons.

Sakura Ankokugai | Persephone

Sakura's hero costume sticks to her nature theme and is made up of a green bodysuit with short shorts and a pink half skirt attached to it. The skirt is shaped like flower petals. Sakura's bodysuit has floral patterns on it. She wears a pair of brown boots with flowers on them.

Hibana/Donna Maikaru | Superstar

Donna/Hibana's costume definitely encapsulates her 70s theme with a silver 70s style halter top jumpsuit and disco ball patterned roller skates. The jumpsuit is holographic, infused with Superstar's DNA to enhance her Quirk in combat.

Akio/Alan Shingenchi | Demoman

Alan/Akio's costume remains pretty much the same as I had it with just a few minor changes. His costume is fairly simple as it looks like an armored construction worker's uniform. It consists of a sleeveless orange vest with white straps underneath a black shirt, baggy black pants, and orange boots with jackhammer heels on them. He also wears an orange hardhat with a black vizor for eye protection and several pieces of armor of the same color.

Splendor

Joou is a businesswoman, fashion designer, and celebrity jeweler. An heir to her father's company and family's jewelry empire, her pieces have been worn by some of the most famous people in the world.

Phoenix Knight

Lancelot would be a lawyer and litigator, specifically working cases involving children. He works in the family law department at Minamoto Law, LLC.

Stormchaser

Sorami works as a weatherwoman and meteorologist at a local news station. In her early days she used to be an investigative journalist but retired to take on her current position.

Inkstain

Irefumi continues to lead their band Black Moon. Even though his duties as a hero will sometimes conflict with concerts and live performances, he'll never miss one.

Persephone

Sakura is the current CEO of Yamaniwa Botanicals, a company that specializes in environmentally friendly plant-based products such as soaps, air fresheners, etc.

Hades

Kagehiko is a mortician and works at a funeral home not too far from him and Sakura's home. Sometimes he helps out at his sister's bar.

Chargeman

Chuso (Shukara) is still a wrestler, but is also a personal trainer. He mainly stays at home with Tenki since he can do his classes online. At night he goes to his matches.

Demoman

Alan (Akio) works as a construction worker, only now he's full-time. Mans will sleep for like three hours and have the energy to build like 20 houses just from that amount of sleep.

InkStain Trivia/Lore

His original hero name was supposed to be the Marked Hero - Inksplot but he changed it after being bullied by his bandmates for choosing such a childish name.

Aside from punk rock, their favorite genres of music include R&B, soul, and Japanese city pop.

Attended his first street race at 19 and was one of the racers. That's how he got his motorcycle.

Speaking of motorcycles, Irefumi owns a couple but their first and most used one looks like this:

He refuses to drive cars. It's either a motorcycle, public transport, or walking. Never a car.

They sometimes volunteer at a garage owned by a fellow Pro Hero and friend of theirs. Everyone was surprised that they were so good at working with vehicles-- except Joou, of course.

Has a secret collection of knives and switchblades. The reason it's secret is because a) they're for his hero work and b) he has two pets and three kids. Joou would murder him on site if she saw Hiko running around with a switchblade.

Their wallet is full of pictures of both Joou and their kids (a la Maes Hughes).

Has tried to convince Joou to get a job at the Miss Maid Cafe because he wants to see her in a maid dress. He got shot down multiple times.

Hero Costumes: InkStain (Irefumi Hitsugaya)

Summer/Standard: Irefumi's standard hero costume reflects their punk nature while also allowing their Quirk to be accessible.

The costume consists of a black denim vest with studs, spikes, numerous patches (one being his wife's hero symbol and another with their band Black Moon) and his personal symbol on the back. I should note that he does not wear a shirt. Like, at all.

Next are a pair of black jeans complete with two belts: one studded black one and one with holsters for his weapons. He also has a silver pocket chain that transforms into his villain capture weapon.

The last parts of the costume are their footwear and accessories. He wears black Doc Marten boots with purple and pink laces (for those who know lace code, you know what this means). Irefumi also wears a pair of black fingerless gloves.

Winter: It's pretty much the same as his standard except he has two shirts and winter appropriate boots because Joou had a say in the development of his winter costume since she's not about to let her husband catch frostbite and a cold at the same time. It's still true to his punk nature even if it's to keep him warm.

Personality: Lively, friendly, and energetic, Irefumi is a fun guy to be around. Whether it be the wild concerts he throws, spending time with their family, and more, he always makes it fun. His carefree and jive disposition serves as an inspiration to many and an annoyance to some others. His motto is "What's life if you can't make it fun?"

Much like any punk, Irefumi hates authority and this extends to both their hero work and music as well. As a hero, they view themselves as a service worker and celebrity rather than a law enforcer.

They have a deep sense of honor and justice, going as far as to respect opponents who also fight with honor. Irefumi knows how to see both sides and come up with fair judgements and conclusions.

Quirk: Inkimation

A Transformation Quirk that allows them to bring anything that has ink on it to life, whether it be their tattoos, drawings, or even words on paper. He cannot bring too much to life as it will weaken their control. He prefers to use his tattoos.

Born to a Afro-Brazilian mother and a Japanese-Brazilian father in São Paulo, Irefumi grew up in a diverse neighborhood.

Their parents were always busy due to Juliana (Irefumi's mom) working as a comic book artist for a big name publisher and Fumio (Irefumi's father) working long hours as a freelance journalist. Not to mention that they often had to move around the city to meet the demands of Fumio's job.

Despite this, Juliana and Fumio always found a way to make time for their son.

For the longest time, both Irefumi and his parents thought he was Quirkless until one day. He was five years old and attending a birthday party for a friend's kids. The young Irefumi put a temporary tattoo on his arm and it came to life. Juliana was surprised at how quickly her son's Quirk manifested.

As a kid, they always had a love of music-- both making and listening. Whether it was the R&B soul their mom would play or the city pop their dad would play, they would always listen and ask their parents about the meaning behind some of the songs.

When they were 7 years old, Irefumi got their first instrument-- a black Spanish style guitar-- as a birthday present.

As they got older, Irefumi became more and more interested in making music. At 10 years old, he bought a camera from a nearby store to record him singing it. Even though he loved it, Irefumi longed for something more.

During their pre teen years, they met Benedito Gordo, the future drummer of Black Moon, on their way back home. Benedito had run into some trouble with some delinquents and ended up getting mugged by them in the process. Irefumi felt bad for him and offered to help him get his money back.

They went to the gang's hangout and fought them for Benedito's money back. Along the way to the hangout, they learned that Benedito had a similar interest in music and that the money was supposed to buy him drumsticks for his new drum set.

One of the delinquents ended up slashing Irefumi in the arm (which would later be covered up with a tattoo of dragon), causing them to need stitches due to how deep the cut was. From that day forward, Benedito and Irefumi became friends.

It was also on that day that Irefumi decided to become a hero.

Wanting to begin his heroic training early, he signed up for martial arts classes-- particularly capoeira. His capoeira teacher was a punk and a retired hero himself which was great for the now teenage Irefumi.

He asked his teacher what it was like being a hero. His teacher told him the truth by saying that if he could be a hero again, he could; but he'd never do so for any corporation.

This answer confused Irefumi and he asked his teacher what he meant. That's when he learned the full truth on how the corporate world really sees and treats heroes.

The teacher told him that the organization he used to work for would often steal half his salary, purposefully spread lies and rumors about him when he did or said something they didn't like, and even forced him compromise his morals and image for something controversial-- leading him to retire in the middle of his career. Since then, he has become vocal against hero organizations.

But he also told Irefumi not to be disillusioned by his story; rather to make it a step towards a revolution. A step towards liberation for heroes from corporate greed and abuse. He recognized the teen boy as a promising hero in the future and told him that he'd do great things for the people.

Taking those words to heart, Irefumi became radicalized. He adopted punk beliefs and fashion and eventually changed his music style to that of punk rock.

They would meet Gaspar Milos, the bassist and final member of Black Moon, during their final year of high school. Gaspar overheard Irefumi talking about forming a band with Benedito during lunch and wanted to join. To prove it, he showed them his skills at playing the bass guitar.

For college, Irefumi chose the São Paulo Institute of Heroics while his friends went off the normal college but still kept in contact. He was in the same class as some other Brazilian heroes including Mystic (Beatriz Teixeira) and many more.

One of his classmates, who was a drag queen, heard he was in a band and asked him if they could perform at the local venue. Irefumi agreed and that's where his band Black Moon made their debut.

During junior year of college, Irefumi was assigned a mission to capture a villain that had escaped overseas. They were excited to get some experience and gladly accepted.

When they arrived in Japan, they met their partner: a woman named Joou. They weren't put off by her cold, robotic nature even if she was put off by their carefree demeanor.

As the mission continued, Irefumi began to fall in love with Joou. While others saw a cold, uncaring robot who never emoted outside the occasional grimace, he saw a beautiful and intelligent but jaded woman who needed a ray of sun in her life. He was determined to be that ray of sun and began flirting with her throughout the mission, much to both her embarrassment and annoyance.

When the mission was over and the villain was successfully captured, he was approached by a flustered Joou who asked him to play a song for her. Irefumi happily accepted and sang the very first song he wrote-- which happened to be a love song.

Before heading back to Brazil, he gave Joou his number and a gold necklace with a diamond music note.

During his senior year, him and Joou would marry and father their son Hiko a year after graduation.

Irejoou Headcanon

When Joou first went to Brazil, she was shocked by how normal people's reactions to her were. How she wasn't looked at like a freak of nature like back home. How people didn't whisper about her and her appearance.

For the first time in a long time, she felt like she belonged, like she was normal. She was smiling, laughing, and even talking with some of Irefumi's friends like she knew them. And from that day forward Irefumi promised to take her to Brazil as many times as she wanted.

All so he could he see her smile and laugh again.
