what's the current distribution for high rank applications? :0 (and just for ranks in general!)
Keep in mind that we have not separated multiple choices here. (Example: If someone marks their OC down to be a healer or a warrior, then we count both of them.)
The current amount of applications for each high rank are as follows:
Deputy - 4 Healer - 11 Herbalist - 3 Advisor - 2 Warrior Council - 2 Scout Council - 1 Elder Council - 0
For non-high ranks, the amounts are as follows:
Warrior - 13 Runner - 2 Scout - 2 Monarch (Non-Expecting) - 2 Monarch (Expecting) - 1 Apprentice - 1 Elder - 1
Although you didn't ask this question, we will also list clan choices!
BarrenClan - 13 (6 first choice / 7 second choice) CopseClan - 17 (10 first choice / 7 second choice) GladeClan - 10 (9 first choice / 1 second choice)
Overall, we would like to see more elders, council members, runners, scouts, and apprentices! But, of course, warriors are always welcome as well. Additionally, BarrenClan has the least amount of first choice applications right now.

Thank you! ♥
Alright, I said I would talk about sims but I’m gonna steer away from that a little. I’m gonna talk about my video game ocs! I have 5 characters worth mentioning and some of them I have recreated in ts2 and some I am planning to recreate!
Under a cut because I’m rambling again.
1. Boss Greta and Grace (Saints Row)
I love love love the first two Saints Row games (and I mean LOVE), and Greta was the first actually video game oc I had (other than sims). I played the sr games in the wrong order (started from sriv and went down from there), and as I went on from game to game I fell in love with the boss more. And then I was lurking around the sr fandom (never took part in it, I’m not a fandom person at all) and that’s basically when it occurred to me to name my boss. I had kept her approximately the same for each game and realised there was potential there: I started building her story even more and learned to draw her and wrote about her.
I fell in love with the boss Greta, and in that frenzy I decided to recreate a version of her in ts2 as well. She was plopped down into the early Whitewave (which didn’t even have a name back then) I had been playing. I had created two versions of her, actually; The first version I made was made without the custom sliders, and once people started sharing their sliders even more I used those to create an even closer reinterpretation of Greta. Since I now had two version of her, I decided to use them both in my hood: I gave Greta a sister! Grace now exists also in the Saints Row canon of Greta as well, but originally she had no siblings nor family. So, thanks to sims my sr boss’s story also was affected!
When it comes to Grace, the sim Grace Farwood represents almost exactly what Grace is like in my sr canon; Instead of staying in Stilwater like Greta does, Grace moves away and gets married and starts a family. Greta the sim took on a life of her own, and now I can honestly say that she is only an echo of the boss Greta in Saints Row.
2. Captain Rosanna Shepard (Mass Effect)
When I started playing Mass Effect, I wasn’t really invested in creating the character. Which is actually very uncharacteristic of me, because I’m the type that spends hours in character creation. Anyway, I used one of the premade faces that the game had, changed the skintone and eyes a little and made her bald. Ta-dah, commander Shepard created. All I really wanted was to try out the game, I wasn’t planning on getting invested... Well.
I got invested. And I ended up really liking the premade face I was using, and now I can’t imagine using any other face for her. I loved everything about Shepard, and still do. AND THE BEST PART IS that I still haven’t finished the trilogy. In short, I’ve played me1 and me2 both twice, and I’ve started ME3 three times. Long story. I’m almost done with me3 now but I’m very hesitant about finishing it - I don’t want it to end!
At some point, I started planning Rosanna’s story outside of the game’s events. I sitll haven’t gotten too far, because in my opinion the most important stories of Shepard’s life are definitely told during the games. Thinking about her life, however, drove me to recreating her in ts2 as well. And I am very happy with how she turned out, she actually looks a little like my shep! I’ve only played one round with Rosanna so far, but I’m already super excited about her and the plans I have for her!
3. The Junior Deputy Dinah (Far Cry 5) and The Captain of Security Bishop (Far Cry New Dawn)
So, I got into Far Cry 5 fast and hard. And once I got into it, there was no coming out. I’m still sort of riding that honeymoon phase with the game, and I’ve been playing it since last summer. I also played Far Cry New Dawn in the fall, and even though I was hugely disappointed in it, I couldn’t help myself and I’ve been writing about both games’ characters. Neither of them have surnames yet, but both Dinah and Bishop are slowly growing into more fleshed out characters and I love my girls.
In the not-too-far future I’m planning on recreating them in ts2 as well!
4. Bela Delia (Skyrim)
Yes........... I have a Skyrim OC as well. I have a few, actually, but that’s just because I’m the type who gets bored of one character and creates a new one and starts the game all over again. I’ve also played it on both ps3 and ps4 so that only adds to the characters I’ve created (and recreated). Skyrim is the game I go to when I want to just play a game and not really think about it, it’s my “numb out the outside world” game. I don’t think I’d be lying if I said I have a thousand hours of playing Skyrim on me.
Bela Delia is the one I’ve played most; I have both non-modded and modded saves for her. She’s a vampire lord, champion of the daedra, the listener of the dark brotherhood... All the evil things you can think of, she’s done them. Now, I’ve been thinking about creating a sort of an “alpha” vampire for ts2. Someone who’d live in hiding, someone who other vampires would follow and do their bidding, a very evil thing. Bela Delia may be a very stereotypically evil character with no redeeming qualities (except maybe her love for Gelebor but no one knows about that), but my ts2 runs on stereotypes, and I think an evil vampire based on her could turn out okay! Plus, I wanna try out creating her looks in ts2.

Hopped back into Far Cry 5 after like a year of not playing and became obsessed with a Bliss!Shep design.
Brought on by realizing things weren't going back to normal (Foster dad turned into an angel and home ransacked by peggies) Shep finally cracks and jumps headfirst into the bliss, much to Faith's agreement. Afterall, the bliss will set you free.
Once in the clutches of the Seeds, full sedated under the bliss, Shep is baptized and rechristened as Judith Seed, Faith's shadow and honorary "little sister" for the Siren of Henbane River.
Additional sketch based off of Faith's storytime in the first cutscene you get with her;

Came back to Far Cry 5 after a hot second and hoo boy did I miss my deputy Shep. Little bit of context under the cut but I love my gender fluid resistance member. Guys (and ladies!!) love them, fish fear them.
Okay this is gonna be a long one. So Deputy Shep, aka Taytum Shep is a 19 year old rookie and former resident of Henbane River. They're a fishing prodigy, having spent a lot of time growing up fishing with their foster dad and helping at his tackle-and-bait shop. While not openly athletic, they did play in Hope County Cougar's Baseball League. Surprisingly enough though, they'd never used a gun until they were 17. That changes, obviously.
Truth be told, they didn't mind the peggies setting up camp- atleast not at first- most of the time they'd keep to themselves and Shep would do the same. This escalated immediately after the peggies started making rounds through the river running past their home and started getting ornery. Suddenly a giant statue of a certain cult leader crops up, their closest neighbors start dropping off the face of the earth, and Dad's talking about hoarding weapons and stocking the storage/doomsday bunker.
Needless to say, they know things are only gonna get worse, and decide if nothing else, maybe outside help would do the trick. And if ykyk.
Now in an rp group I’m in, instead of one deputy taking back Hope County in the resistance, it's three of our OCstaking on each region, and obviously, if not coincidentally, Shep gets Henbane. This is a problem for obvious reasons but also the current Faith is mighty familiar to Shep (personal HC was that Rachel was an assistant camp counselor before the Seeds rolled in and was actually a kind role model to Shep for a hot second), and ofc she uses it to their disadvantage.
Also y'all know me and know my obsession with OCxCanon, so obv when Joseph mentioned having a daughter to one of the other deputies- including a picture of his dead wife on his arm, it's hard not to put two and two together. Needless to say, honey, they've got a big storm coming.

If I want to apply to GladeClan Deputy, does my OC have to be related to the leader?
Hello!
While it is true that GladeClan typically keeps leadership within their family, that is not the case right now! The current deputy will not be related to Hollystar.
