Came back to Far Cry 5 after a hot second and hoo boy did I miss my deputy Shep. Little bit of context under the cut but I love my gender fluid resistance member. Guys (and ladies!!) love them, fish fear them.
Okay this is gonna be a long one. So Deputy Shep, aka Taytum Shep is a 19 year old rookie and former resident of Henbane River. They're a fishing prodigy, having spent a lot of time growing up fishing with their foster dad and helping at his tackle-and-bait shop. While not openly athletic, they did play in Hope County Cougar's Baseball League. Surprisingly enough though, they'd never used a gun until they were 17. That changes, obviously.
Truth be told, they didn't mind the peggies setting up camp- atleast not at first- most of the time they'd keep to themselves and Shep would do the same. This escalated immediately after the peggies started making rounds through the river running past their home and started getting ornery. Suddenly a giant statue of a certain cult leader crops up, their closest neighbors start dropping off the face of the earth, and Dad's talking about hoarding weapons and stocking the storage/doomsday bunker.
Needless to say, they know things are only gonna get worse, and decide if nothing else, maybe outside help would do the trick. And if ykyk.
Now in an rp group I’m in, instead of one deputy taking back Hope County in the resistance, it's three of our OCstaking on each region, and obviously, if not coincidentally, Shep gets Henbane. This is a problem for obvious reasons but also the current Faith is mighty familiar to Shep (personal HC was that Rachel was an assistant camp counselor before the Seeds rolled in and was actually a kind role model to Shep for a hot second), and ofc she uses it to their disadvantage.
Also y'all know me and know my obsession with OCxCanon, so obv when Joseph mentioned having a daughter to one of the other deputies- including a picture of his dead wife on his arm, it's hard not to put two and two together. Needless to say, honey, they've got a big storm coming.
