the corner of leon's mouth twitches until he stops trying to hold back the smirk and shakes his head. she watches as his hair sways in his face. for a moment, she believes there's a hint of a blush on his cheeks but she can definitely notice his ears turning red.

"that's a little dramatic, don't you think?" leon chuckles, brushing his knuckles over her throat as he pushes away her hair.

daisy frowns and lightly knocks his arm away. "not dramatic at all. i mean it, leon."

he laughs and runs a hand through his hair. "i know, i'm sorry."

"you should be." she pouts, stepping closer and admiring the affection in his eyes. "i really did mean it. i've loved you from the day we met."

leon smiles and leans forward so their lips are only a few inches apart. "you would fall in love with someone during an infectious outbreak, wouldn't you?"

"well, it just so happened you were the only one around. wasn't many options to choose from." daisy teases, a soft whisper of words she didn't mean.

leon reaches up again and rests his hand to her neck, gentle and warm. "lucky me."
