The treasure is all mine!
-chapter one-
(Prologe, chapter two)
Genshin Impact x Creator!Reader
warnings: no y/n used, slight yandere behavior, possible spelling errors and maybe a bit off to the Aranara Story (but I've read lots about it in the wiki so should be fine)
summary: Aramasu offers you to come to the Aranara Village, you agree and enjoy it at first but soon notice someting off
characters: Arana, Arama, you , Araja, (Aranara!OC:) Aramasu
word count: 1756
wattpad story here
(here are pictures of the Aranaras if it makes your reading experience better)
Nara = Human Vana = Forest

"Perhaps," Aramasu continues, its voice carrying a gentle, melodic resonance, "you are more than what you think you are. The forest knows you, and so do I."
You pause, considering Aramasu's words. "I don't remember anything from before. I don't even know my own name."
Aramasu looks thoughtful for a moment, its eyes reflecting a deep, ancient wisdom. "Names are important, but even without one, you are still you. You need a place to rest, to think. Come with me to Mahavanaranapna, where we live. You can stay until you find your name."
"Mahavana- what?" you ask, curiosity piqued. "What is that?"
"Mahavanaranapna is home. Located in Varana, Hidden from Nara eyes, safe and warm. It's our village, with houses made of leaves and branches. Beautiful lakes, giant trees, plants protecting us. It is invisible to all eyes that aren't supposed to find us, I'll take you there."
You nod, a deep sense of gratitude welling up inside you. "Thank you, Aramasu. I would like that."
With that, Aramasu begins to float ahead, guiding you deeper into the forest. The journey is enchanting; each step you take brings the forest more vividly to life. You pass by flowers that emit a soft, ethereal glow, their petals shimmering like tiny stars. Streams murmur happily as they weave through the underbrush, their clear waters reflecting the sunlight in a dance of liquid light. The trees seem to hum with an ancient, serene energy, their leaves whispering secrets to the wind.
As you walk, the scenery grows ever more vibrant. The trees tower majestically overhead, their thick, emerald leaves forming a lush canopy that filters the sunlight into beams of golden light, casting intricate, shifting patterns on the forest floor. The air is fresher here, imbued with the scent of blooming flowers, rich earth, and the faintest hint of wild herbs.
After what feels like a timeless journey, you arrive at a hidden entrance. A colossal tree, its trunk twisted and intertwined with thick vines, stands before you. As Aramasu approaches, the vines gracefully part, revealing a path that seems to beckon you forward into a secluded realm.
"This is Mahavanaranapna," Aramasu says with a hint of pride, its voice almost a song.
You step through the archway and are greeted by a breathtaking sight. The village is nestled around a vast, crystal-clear lake, its serene surface reflecting the towering trees and a kaleidoscope of colorful foliage. Quaint houses, crafted from natural materials and adorned with leaves and moss, blend seamlessly into the vibrant landscape. Giant trees with immense trunks stand sentinel around the village, their branches forming a protective canopy that feels both sheltering and sacred.
Aranaras of various shapes and sizes go about their daily activities, some tending to the verdant plants, others making music and playing by the lakeside. They glance curiously in your direction but their eyes hold no fear, only a gentle curiosity and warmth.
"I will talk to the others," Aramasu says. "You are welcome to stay, to rest. Maybe here, you will find answers."
You look around, taking in the serene beauty and harmony of Vanarana. Despite the uncertainty about your past and identity, a profound sense of hope and belonging fills your heart.
"Thank you, Aramasu. I think this is exactly what I need."
As you settle into the village, you feel a warm wave of acceptance from the Aranaras and the forest itself. This hidden sanctuary offers not just safety and rest, but a chance to discover who you truly are. The journey to uncover your past and your identity has just begun, and with the guidance of the Aranara and the magic of the forest, you feel ready to face whatever lies ahead.
Tumblr media
Months have passed since that fateful day. You have spoken to many Aranaras, each with different interests, personalities, and stories. They are just like normal people. Normal people? What does that even mean anymore? You can't recall what normal is, but it doesn't matter now. You've made friends—very good friends—friends who stand by you and help you uncover the truth about yourself. At least thats what you think. Araja, the village chief, accepted your presence and has grown quite fond of you over time. He too sensed something special about you but never divulged further details.
Sadly, you still don't know your name. However, you did discover a particular dish that you enjoy. On days when frustration weighed heavily on you due to a lack of progress, Aramasu and the others would prepare that dish to lift your spirits. The name of the dish was difficult to pronounce, not being in your native language, but that never hindered your enjoyment.
Each day, you delved deeper into the community, learning and sharing moments that felt both new and strangely familiar. You participated in their daily activities, from tending to plants to joining in their joyous celebrations. The Aranaras' simple yet profound way of life became a source of comfort and inspiration. Despite the challenges and the ongoing mystery of your identity, you found solace in the bond you shared with your new friends. They taught you to find joy in the present, even as you searched for answers. And while the journey to uncover your past continued, the warmth and kindness of the Aranaras made the journey a little easier.
At least for a while.
It was a morning like any other. You woke up, greeted your friends, and enjoyed a simple breakfast before taking a walk. Arana, one of your closest friends, usually accompanied you, sharing stories along the way. Later, you listened to the Aranaras' delightful music, a cheerful and soothing melody that filled the air. Arama had taught you how to make flower crowns, so you often found yourself sitting in the grass, surrounded by your friends, weaving pretty flowers into delicate crowns. As the day passed, you felt a sense of contentment. By the time evening fell, you gathered for dinner, the warm glow of the setting sun casting long shadows across the village. After dinner, you retreated to one of the cozy houses to rest. Each day followed this familiar rhythm, a comforting routine of friendship and tranquility.
However, despite the lovely stories and enchanting music that changed each day, you felt a stirring within—a desire for something more. The villagers often warned, "Vana can be very dangerous!" You understood the forest held dangers, yet your curiosity and yearning to explore the unknown parts of this land remained strong. The beauty and peace of your daily life in Vanarana were undeniable, but the call of the mysterious forest beyond your safe haven was growing louder. You wanted to see more of Vana, to experience its wonders and challenges firsthand.
It didn't make you happy. Sure, it was a peaceful life, but besides the stories, you had learned nothing—nothing about yourself or this world. The lack of progress became increasingly frustrating. Whenever you mentioned the idea of leaving Vanarana, the Aranaras grew defensive, almost… hostile? Surely, that was just your imagination. They had been so kind before. Why would they want to keep you here against your will?
Yet, you couldn't shake the feeling. The longer you stayed, the more you felt trapped. Your longing gaze often drifted to the horizon, wishing you could soar through the sky like the birds, flying toward freedom. Every day, your desire to explore the unknown parts of Vana grew stronger, and the village's comforting embrace began to feel like a cage.
That's it. You are done.
Determined, you decided it was time to break free. The forest, with all its mysteries and dangers, called out to you. You needed answers, and you realized that staying in Vanarana wasn't going to provide them. The beauty of the village had lost its charm, replaced by an insistent need to discover your true self and the secrets this world held.
No more waiting. No more wondering. It was time to take your fate into your own hands.
Packing your bags with a few supplies, a blanket, and one last flower crown for memory, you couldn't help but feel a mix of emotions. Sorrow, that describes your feelings pretty well. This village, with its serene beauty and gentle inhabitants, had been your home for months. Leaving it behind felt like leaving the part of yourself that you just found. Yet, despite the sadness, there was also a glimmer of excitement. The unknown world beyond Vanarana beckoned, filled with the promise of discovery and the hope of finding your true identity.
You took one last look around the small house that had been your shelter, your sanctuary. The familiar scent of the fresh forest air mingled with the earthy aroma of the village. Memories of laughter, shared meals, and quiet moments of reflection played in your mind. You gently placed the flower crown in your bag, its vibrant petals a poignant reminder of the friendships and bonds you had formed.
The Aranaras had been kind, but you couldn't ignore the defensive looks and wary glances whenever you mentioned leaving. It only fueled your determination. You needed to find out who you were, and you knew you wouldn't find those answers within the confines of the village.
As you slung the bag over your shoulder, a sense of resolve settled within you. Stepping outside, the village was quiet, bathed in the soft light of dawn. The giant trees cast long shadows, and the stillness was almost tangible. You took a deep breath, letting the crisp air fill your lungs, and began to walk.
Every step away from Vanarana felt like a step toward your destiny. The path ahead was unknown and undoubtedly fraught with challenges, but it also held the promise of adventure and self-discovery. With each stride, your sorrow was tempered by a growing curiosity and the thrill of what lay beyond.
You glanced back once, taking in the sight of the village one last time. The Aranaras were nowhere to be seen, but you knew they would understand, eventually. They had given you a place to belong when you had none, and for that, you were grateful.
Turning back to the path ahead, you embraced the uncertainty. Your journey was just beginning, and with the forest stretching out before you, the world was full of possibilities.
With a final look at Mahavanaranapna, you whispered a quiet farewell and stepped into the unknown, ready to uncover the mysteries of Vana and the secrets of your own past.

Cartel AU Ideas
I have given DEEP thoughts about it and I JUST remembered of my old drafts the FIRST time my online friends introduced MW2 to me (just the beginning of last year around February). After watching that WHOLE campaign. My favorite scene was when Alejandro and Valeria had met during the interrogation. AFTER capturing the El Si Nombre. And after a few months when I created my OC. I just had an angsty thoughts for the Toa siblings (Tiala and Kanoa).
What if they switched roles with Alejandro AND Valeria? Yup. You hear me. What if Kanoa is Alejandro and Tiala is Valeria. A sibling rivalry!
Kanoa is still leading the WTF but Tiala is not because she had OTHER plans besides joining the army.
Ok. So here's how it goes!
Remember, in her bio. She knows how to plan ahead. Ever since those incidents that she went through on a mission. And was kidnapped and was USED on her. That anger had flickered inside of her and seeing how the military and even her brother's team weren't even strong or fast enough to catch the leader of the cartel in the Pacific.
So she had planned something that Kanoa wasn't expecting. Not even Alana knows about it.
Just like Valeria planning to execute the Son of La Arana. Tiala also planned to execute the leader who had used her and other people he was making trafficking out of. JUST for money.
Two different teams. One team is with Kanoa while the other team is with Tiala. And just like Alejandro and Rudy explained that Valeria was the traitor. Well...that's what Tiala is. Instead of following orders to keep the cartel leader ALIVE. She actually shot him down and ordered the team, who is on her side, to eliminate the ones who are NOT on her side. From them calling the General or her brother until they LEFT unnoticed.
That's a bit different than how Valeria had planned. For Tiala had made sure that her brother's team KNOWS that her and her team are KIA instead of MIA. By burning the bodies and leaving their dog tags behind. So she can work properly to take over the Cartel.
She made sure during the cartel operation that there will be NO more trafficking people. Using women, children, men- ANYONE that is put in that situation. And if she finds any of these cartel leaders doesn't cooperate with what she had offered. There is NO hesitation in her eyes ordering her men to put them down.
Her identity is unnoticed in the Pacific and it needs to stay like that. What is the name? I'm still working on that.
But during her WHOLE time of planning and making it JUST right. She had made herself the top of the food chain.
Kanoa didn't even KNOW she's still alive. For he had already got the news that his sister and her team had been shot and burned. It devastated him finding out that his little sister is gone. And so he thought.
And that’s all I have for now. Still trying to plan how Kanoa finds out that Tiala is ALIVE.
Soooooo? What do you guys think? How would YOUR OCs react to seeing a Cartel Tiala in this AU? Or what position they if they joined in the Cartel? What's their skills? I'm curious. Lol.
Just gonna tag the peeps:

3, 7 and 11 for all of ur canon da ocs???
OOOO thank you for the ask i will try not to be too verbose
3. opinion on blood magic?
arana tabris is scared of it. she knows that people have historically been sacrificed for it. and she is scared of someone using her own blood the way that some people are afraid of getting shots. so two fold, there's the "oh that's WRONG" and the "oh if that happened to me i'd pass out no hesitation" types of fear
allison hawke kind of has the relationship with blood magic that someone might have with smoking weed. growing up it's like "oooh maybe scary! uh oh!" and then one person (merrill) explains it functionally and she's like "oh. whatever. neat."
rome lavellan is a little scientist who grew up researching magic types, functions, practical and impractical uses and trying to chemically understand the matter of magic through experimentation. their 'dissecting a frog' project was 'blood magic the frog'.
7. if they had to choose one person most important to them, who would that be?
OOOOOO this is hard
arana tabris now it IS zevran. they bond so quickly and when they do fall in love, it shifts arana's priorities and plans.
allison hawke is difficult to decide for because while I will say fenris of course carver and varric and really all of her friends are v tightly packed right behind him
rome lavellan her older brother savhen with dorian very close behind
11. what are their religious beliefs, if any?
arana's beliefs are a byproduct of the cascade she grew up with: some of the people around her honored the elvhen gods, some subscribed to andrastianism. she just liked hearing stories.
allison again has that aftermath feeling of no longer believing in something that felt a little absolute as she grew up. she's kind of got that invasive thought feeling of still being watched and judged but doesn't believe in what's judging her. complicated! mostly atheistic
rome enjoys dalish traditional ceremony and the community of shared faith. her beliefs actually veer a little dwarven? she holds more regard and devotion for her ancestors than she does for the gods themselves.

Note
i have a spiderverse oc that i think would weirdly get along really well with josie even though they have such different background and universes?? the oc's name is aneirin kelkian and she's a half-elf from a fantasy world in which a tyrant empire is trying to take over her home continent of pryla. BUT, unlike other spiderpeople she wasn't bitten by a spider, instead she befriended and trained a dragon with spidery traits and became a dragon rider known in her universe as the rogue spider who defends villages. her dragon, oleander, is a species known as a scaled aranae that has all the spidery traits, like multiple eyes, spider limbs, mandibles, silk, and venom. he's based off of a white wolf spider and is actually fluffy to the touch since he as the same hairs spiders do all over his scales! anyways, while aneirin herself may not have any spider powers, you bet she can kick ass without them, as she's trained in both archery and blade fighting. [she's also fucking 6'3 and decently buff even at 17, so she's gnarly in a hands-on fight too] when it comes to her role in the spider society and her relationships, she's a big sister figure to gwen as well, which is what inspired me to think that she and josephine would get along!! [protective big sisters unite] aneirin also loves music and dance, so i imagine she'd be curious to learn more about ballet and the music that exists in josie's universe. oleander on the other hand thinks that her spidersuit is like a shiny piece of treasure, but he's still pretty skittish around spiders that aren't aneirin. although he is warming up more to the spiderband as time goes on. so yeah, even though aneirin and josephine are from very different universes and backgrounds, i think they'd get along and kick ass together, as a treat :)
Yo???
Aneirin sounds so badass and so goddamn cool.
Also she's 6'3??? Goddamn, she's probably one of the most coolest spidersonas to exist.

Poe grapples with his inability to sit still; the First Order looms, an ever-encroaching threat to what remains of the Outer Rim’s free space; intimate feelings grow impossible to ignore and a shocking return promises devastating consequences not only for those stationed on Lothal, but for the Resistance and galaxy at large.

CHAPTER 14
“Have we met?”
Ira Nyx sat, hands folded before him on the table, his face impenetrable.“No. But I have heard your name and seen you many times. Now I know who you are.”
Still hovering by his side, Finn’s eyes searched Poe’s. He hadn’t stopped staring since Poe had woken.
“How do you feel?” Finn interrupted his exchange with Ira. A welcome break—it was too much for his sluggish mind to follow. A hollowness permeated his entire body, his head too light for his shoulders.
“Not really sure yet.”
“Oh. Yeah, okay.” Finn sat back on his heels. “Take your time.”
Poe took in the bruises forming around Finn’s cheekbones, the cuts on his lip and chin. “Are you okay?”
“You’re asking me if—“ Finn’s face crumpled and he dragged his hands down over it. When he looked up, his eyes were wet, voice a fierce whisper. He grabbed Poe’s hand. “Don’t ever do that to me again.”
Poe’s heart skipped into his throat. “What?”
“Die. Almost die—whatever. Just… don’t do it again, okay?”
The edges of Poe’s smile trembled, his throat tight. “Okay.”
Finn blew out a breath then turned back to Ira. “Enough with the cryptic back and forth. Out with it.”
“He survived Order 66.” Karé’s voice startled them. Poe had forgotten she, Iolo and BB-8 were standing by the door.
Ira Nyx wasn’t the most subtle being—he had an innate reverence to him, a larger than life presence, only in small part due to his towering stature. That he had once been a Jedi… All the pieces clicked neatly into place. But as far as Poe knew, no one had survived Order 66. That was kind of the whole deal. Any Jedi from that era… They were all long dead. “How is that possible?”
“I hid.”
A frown creased Finn’s brow. “For how long?”
“Since the day I watched them all die.”
“That’s what, almost 40 years?” Poe said. “Did you know what was happening during that time?”
“Yes.”
“Yes? That’s it?”
It was quiet for a long time. Ira Nyx looked ancient when he spoke next, his giant shoulders sagged. “Indeed.” He stared at his hands. “I made a choice. Anyone around me would have been at risk.”
“But what about all the people you could have helped?” Poe carefully pulled himself to a seated position. “On Garel alone. Not to mention the rest of the Outer Rim.”
“I knew what was happening and did nothing. That makes you angry.”
Poe willed the heated hammering of his heart to slow. “Look, I don’t know you, and I don’t really care that you did nothing. But you need to know how many suffered and died while you hid.”
“I know.”
Finn shifted. “Yeah?”
“I saw them. Not each one but many. Just as I saw you before I met you. Always in fragments. Scattered images. With you it was fire. Blood. Many beings dying. A great… wave razing everything in its path.”
“You saw the base explode,” Poe said.
Ira frowned, a far off look in his eyes. “Are there more?”
“Many more,” Finn answered for him. “Why?”
“I saw it four times. Each distinctly different than the last.”
The fire in the hearth snapped and popped into the quiet room. Realization settled heavily between them. Three other bases had probably been destroyed. There went that list, unraveling into oblivion. More names. More friends; gone.
Karé broke the silence. “You can see the future?”
“I cannot see the future.” Ira gave a good natured chuckle. “I see… echoes. Of what could be. What has not yet come to be. When I saw all of you, none of it made sense until we were face to face.”
“Did you see anything else?” Finn asked.
“Bits and pieces.” Ira pinched the bridge of his nose. “I cannot put it all together.”
Poe realized Finn still hadn’t let go of his hand as he heard him say, “Maybe we can help with that.”
* * *
With orders to stay in bed, Poe was left alone in the house while Ira led the others to where he concealed a landspeeder. Poe protested. He couldn’t help himself—he wanted to see what ancient model Ira had been hiding for the last forty years, and was eager to get his body moving, but with a fit of impressive squawking, BB-8 had won the argument in the end.
The second the tattered cloth fell back over the door, Poe crept up off Ira’s makeshift mattress to stretch by the warmth of the hearth, watching the flames lap hungrily over fresh tree scraps.
A whisper of pain crawled up his side when he moved, and he’d never felt such deep muscle soreness in his life, but he was alive. He could stand, he could walk. As the minutes went on, his body awoke more, his brain with it too. The only traces of a near-fatal injury were the blood-crusted tatters of his shirt that hung open around his midsection. It was like looking down at someone else’s body, the gore dried dark brown in places, but no injury peeking through the ruined fabric. Only a shiny scar was left, skin knitted together in a jagged line, but miraculously healed and closed. Poe ran his fingers along his face and found similarly scarred over cuts and scrapes where shattered transparisteel had peppered his face. The same ghost-echoes of pain flitted across the healed skin at his touch.
He couldn’t remember anything after the bitter cold in the G-9’s cabin and Finn’s warm chest against his back… But he could feel echoes. A distant warmth, spreading through his core, replacing the cold. A stranger knitting him back together with their bare hands. Someone he had never met.
The full-body hollowness had evaporated and  been replaced with a tightness in his lungs. His confession to Finn. It was out in the open. Bits and pieces of the conversation floated back to him, but not much else. Had Finn reacted? Did he feel the same way? Like trying to catch a wisp of smoke between his fingers, the memory took half shape, but dissipated before he could grasp it.
“It’s hard to believe—you standing here. Like nothing even happened.”
Poe turned to see Finn leaning against the doorway. He crossed the room. The tips of their boots touched. Poe wrapped his arms around Finn, burying his face in the crook of his shoulder. He squeezed tight, breathing him in; that familiar, comforting smell—sweat, leather, earth. Finn’s arms slid around Poe’s back and waist, pulling him in. Given the chance, Poe might never let go.
* * *
By the time Ira, Karé, Iolo and BB-8 filed back into the hut, the fog in Poe’s brain had mercifully dissipated. But only to make room for the onslaught of issues at hand.
Kothal was under attack—yes, the galaxy was at war and that was an unfortunate byproduct—but the Resistance presence on Kothal had brought the fight to them. Kemi’s haunted eyes floated into his mind. It could have been lifetimes ago that they found her in the ruined market square, but the sharp memory of the betrayal in her eyes kept it fresh. They had to get back. They had to warn the other bases. Leia.
Then there was the chip from the virus-ridden BB unit back on base. Whatever information they could glean from it. Poe paced the dirt floor of Ira’s tiny home. He was alive. In fact, he felt more alive than he had since arriving on Kothal and considering he had been essentially dead just a few hours prior… A reinvigorated fire burned in him.
BB-8 bleeped disapprovingly.
“What? No, I—“ Poe looked down at the floor. He really had almost carved a figure eight into the dust. “Okay, fine. I’ll stop. Can you display the information on the chip and still protect yourself from the virus?”
BB8 hummed a resounding no, blinking expectantly at Poe.
“Okay, gimme a second to think. Our G-9’s astromech was completely fried…”
Karé perked up suddenly. “Our nav computer still works. Everything else is shot, but we can at least try that.”
“That just might work.”
And so, in Ira’s landspeeder—Poe had been right, it was a creaky relic of a SoroSuub X-34—they returned to Karé and Iolo’s wrecked pod. It was in better shape than Poe and Finn’s G-9, but still completely unflyable.
Ira stood outside the craft as the fighters crowded in, jostling wounds and pressed against each other in the tiny space made for two. BB-8 beeped in annoyance, shoving his way through their legs. He popped out his durasteel storage vault and Poe took the First Order branded chip from it, inserting it into an awaiting port.
The nav computer’s screen fizzed into static and went black. Just their kriffing luck. Then, white letters built themselves into words and sentences against the dark background. Some made sense, some just looked like a jumble of letters and numbers to Poe.
But one thing stood out starkly to all of them, and Karé cursed at the name and title: Tallon Voxel, First Order Engineer.
“I thought he was dead,” Iolo murmured into the stunned silence. “He went missing on that aid mission to Ryloth.”
Finn and Poe exchanged a glance. Everyone else on that mission had been killed.
“You’re as good as dead if they have you,” Poe said. “They’re not big on the whole catch and release thing. They must have had a use for him to keep him alive.” Although, there was no guarantee he was still alive at this point. The chip had served its purpose. Tallon Voxel might have already, too.
“Engineer.” They all turned to look at Iolo, who shifted uncomfortably. “He created the working model for our base network security protocols.”
“Single-handedly? He can’t possibly have all that information,” Karé said.
Iolo nodded. “He designed the systems. They need him to override it.”
“So… it’s only a matter of time before the other bases…” Karé let the end of her sentence drop off.
They were running out of time—against a ticking clock they could not see. It was foolish to hope that coordinates to every remaining Resistance base in the galaxy hadn’t been tortured out of Tallon. There was only so much you could withstand… if you were trained. Engineers weren’t.
“Lothal was one of the planets listed as a diversionary location for General Organa,” Finn said.
Iolo paled. “That means Cassidode IV, Primtara… and Mako Ta… could be gone too.”
“We have to warn the others.”
“And get back to Kothal,” Poe said. “Who knows how long the tunnels will hold.”
Finn rubbed his temples. “Our ship’s comms were destroyed in the crash.”
Karé flicked the pod’s hyperwave communicator on. Predictably, nothing happened; the shredded antenna was the first thing Poe noticed as he had climbed into the wrecked craft.
“I know where you can get a ship.” Ira Nyx startled them all. They turned to him standing in the gaping hole where the pod’s engine once sat. “Garel City. You can broadcast your message from there. The streets are crawling with First Order troopers, but their main area of concern is the spaceport.”
“And where exactly is this ship?” Finn asked, eyes narrowed. Poe already knew the answer.
“The spaceport.”
“Of course it is.”
“A friend owes me a favor. Jem Cade. Hangar 71-C.”
“And you’ll be staying here?” Poe also knew the answer.
Ira Nyx’s mouth thinned to a grim line. “I will.”
