I'd love to hear about all of your MC's flaws, beyond the relative murderousness that the game pushes the player to.

Like, are they too impulsive for their own good? Do they have the emotional capacity/moral compass of a clamshell or are they too emotional? Do they have unhealthy coping mechanisms? Like, what's going on in their heads? How did you make them more dimensional beyond what the game allows?

I can start with Anwen. The girl is elusive and doesn't let people in. She hates feeling endebted towards people and refuses help unless she asks for it first. For example, I imagine that Ominis tried to check on her after Sebastian cast the cruciatus curse on her, and she was quick to dismiss him ("I appreciate your concern, but I'm not the one you should be worrying about."). Everything has to be on her own terms and it makes her incredibly difficult to deal with for anyone who actually wants to know her. This aligns with the wand wood she wields, pine ("The straight-grained pine wand always chooses an independent, individual master who may be perceived as a loner, intriguing and perhaps mysterious."), but in her case, it's pushed to annoying degrees.

She puts up a front and will act unaffected by just about anything until it reaches a breaking point. And when this happens, she retreats instead of seeking support. She has two preferred hiding spots to wallow in her feelings, the underground harbour and Apollonia's Grotto after the Ghost of Love quest, because she knows she'll be alone. She went to the underground harbour after Sebastian told her Anne wasn't going to turn him in and broke down there instead.

The Rook and the Inquisitor

Meet Ingrid "Inga" Ingellvar, my Rook ✨My partner pointed out that she kinda looks like Yennefer of Vengerberg with her purple eyes and long, black hair, honestly I the thought didn't even cross my mind while making her ^^" I'm happy with how she turned out and can't wait to see how her adventure goes. And I'm also very happy with my Inquisitor's updated look, I made some changes to her design (like making her vallaslin a bit darker so it's better visible). So these are my elfy ladies for Veilguard✨

As I don't post much here I don't think I'll be making that many posts while playing, but if I do I will tag anything potentially spoiler-y with #dav spoilers. Same applies to reblogs of course.

By the time Act 3 rolls up and shit starts hitting the fan, I think Orsino has gained an immense respect for Anwen. Bethany speaks highly of her, and he is amazed that Anwen has been able to not only survive this long outside the Circle, but honestly thrive (at least from perspective, even if that's not reflective of reality). Not only that, but she actively endangers herself advocating for the Circle and defying the templars! I think Orsino would find that incredibly admirable.

Which canon character doesn’t respect your OC whatsoever?

Far from the only one lol, but Seneschal Bran. He appreciates her and her merry little band of weirdos helping out when the Viscount's office was otherwise occupied, but respect? No, don't be absurd. Even after she raises to the ranks of nobility, even when she saves Kirkwall and becomes the Champion, he'll always consider her... low class.

Who does your OC love? (platonic)

Isabela!! Anwen and Isabela are #1 Girl Besties, especially into Act 3 and the post-game (If it weren't for Isabela and Varric, the group would've lost contact with each other a long time ago). They don't always agree on everything, but they have each other's backs when it counts and they would highkey lowkey die for each other.

I can't remember the exact order in which I did the Sebastian questline but the cutscene where they learn Riddikulus in DADA would have been so incredibly awkward if it happened after Solomon's murder.

Anwen's boggart would take the form of the inferi and the relic, while Sebastian's would very likely be Anne's dead body and ugh, the discussion that would ensue would be something.
