halcor - rough around the edges, a bit ends justify the means, good at heart but doesn't lose sleep over bad choices, matter of fact, heart eyes about magic

daw - a veil jumper, daw has a complex history with the dread wolf - not a personal history, but a spiritual one. after being recruited by varric, they are desperate to stop solas, whatever the cost... but over time, they begin to understand him and realize that they want to save him

wow okay bringing this blog back--

so basically, I have two ideas for what I want to happen to Liall after trespasser. The first is that she’s fine. She just kinda... She still hunts for Solas, but she spends more time living her own life. She would more “sponsor” the protagonist of da4 if you will, providing help from afar.

The second ending? She ends up obsessed with finding him. She neglects relationships, goes all out into trying to find and stop him. She didn’t want to kill him, but as time passes, that anger festers. She would never truly heal from the fact that she was just a pawn, a toy that Solas used for his own purpose. She stops trusting, stops believing in even her closest friends and family. And eventually? If she does find him, it’s simply a disaster.

"Oh, I'm... Not particularly into candy... People don't believe me when I say, but I don't have much of a sweet tooth." (she pauses, and then smiles) "But if I had to choose? I really like chocolate. One time, Josephine got some chocolates..." (she goes on to retell an entire story)

Alright, so-- I said this blog was going to be for my characters, and I’m STICKING WITH IT!!

I’m just gonna start of with the girl you’re going to see the most of, and go from there!

LIALL LAVELLAN

To start off with the basics, Liall is my main inquisitor. She refuses to be called the “Herald,” going as far as to ignore you if you called her that.

She’s young, only around 25. 

She doesn’t know her mom, and nobody told her what happened to her. She just assumes her mom left.

Related to my grey warden, Shaeri, on their mom’s side.

She’s EXTREMELY physically affectionate. She loves hugs and kisses and would love to just cuddle with you throughout the night.

BUT!! Only if she gives you permission. She doesn’t like random strangers touching her. Especially her ears. They’re off limits unless she’s really close with you.

Not that important, but since I project onto my characters, she has visual snow.

Her best friend is Asek Adaar, a qunari mercenary that was late to the Conclave, therefore surviving. She’s also close friends with Varric and Sera. She’s friendly with everybody else though. Even Vivienne.

She’s extremely pro mage rights, and harbors a huge hatred for the Chantry. Granted, that’s due to something an old friend of hers would tell her, but still. She did side with the Templars, as she didn’t really understand that it meant the mages would be off limits.

She instantly decided to conscript the Templars. She wanted to try and take away their power to hurt people. Asek is the only one that she’s explained it to.

She’s hella gay, just thought I should mention.

Really hates people touching her ears without permission. Yes, they move a lot. Yes, they’re pointy. No, rich Orlesian noble, you CAN’T touch.

Got referred to as a serving girl a LOT at the winter palace.

Overall? She’s just an anxious, sad elf that wants to make you proud. She has an unhealthy obsession with making others happy. It’s something she works on with Josephine and Asek.

okay so like. i wanna write an entire fuckin thing for liall. This bitch (who my friend (hi @asinikill) and i decided is only around 20 but thats subject to change to make the story,,, work better) gets roped into saving the world and doesn’t fuckin wanna, does everything in her power to be peaceful and make friends, try to build the inquisition up as a force for genuine good, fall in love, yadda yadda yadda

she learns all that? was because some asshole egg wanted her too. And then he takes her arm cause she was dying.

like all of trespasser, for the first time in the game she’s genuinely angry, absoulutely pissed off, but by the time she reaches solas? Solas, who she was never friends with, but never hated. Solas, who still guided her and seemed genuinely concerned for her when she drank from the well. Solas, who might be seen as a friend one day? She doesn’t have the energy to fight. She makes one last final lunge, one last attempt to fight, and when Solas stops her...

she gives up. she stops fighting, and lets him talk. she doesn’t show how much she is in pain, she doesn’t show how much she is fueled by complete hatred. her whole life came crumbling down. the evanuris? The true fall of the old elves? all of that? It made her hate. It made her hate the past elves, for being so cruel. it made her hate the dalish for believing in the elven pantheon. it made her hate humans for being cruel. it made her hate her sister, her friend, her keeper, herself for believing in them, for trying  to restore everything.

so she promises not to kill solas, but to try and stop him. because even though she breaks down, even though she can barely talk to people without snapping anymore, she tries to be nice. she tries not to hurt. she tries to be peaceful, and she tries to make friends.

and when her friends, her real friends find her, they find shes missing more than an arm. it seems like shes missing more like a part of herself.

and she disbands the inquisition, making sure everybody knows she’s angry. she never wanted to be inquisitor. she never wanted to be the herald. and now? she doesn’t have to be. her smirk is bitter as she walks away, eyes burning with a longing for revenge. and Liall Lavellan?

She makes sure she’s going to get it.
