#oc: Khano Vexa

Because you see, I'm in a guild with Khano Vexa, main OC of @vexa-legacy who has a heart of gold and a sometimes Rated R life....we talk about art and fic.

And I just finished a fic exchange centering around Vexa Pasan, one of the OCs of @starknstarwars. She's a child/young teenager and a super light-sidey Jedi with a destiny...

There are just some activities that one Vexa does, but not the other. And that goes both ways, as illustrated above! So I've been having some cognitive dissonance trying to catch and feed plotbunnies for "Vexa."

Tattoos: Credit symbol on right hand between thumb and index finger. Daughter's name "Khoji" in aurebesh script down the outside of right forearm.

Clothing: Blue leather jacket, slim fit black pants, square toed swoop-rider boots, black collared shirt, bandana, (tucked into collar), black gunbelt, fingerless leather gloves.

Accessories: Helix piercing in right ear, 4g plug in left ear, wedding band.

Features: High cheekbones, scar through right eyebrow, clean shaven, well groomed, handsome. Personal hygiene is a high priority.

Weapons: Modified Imperial E-1 blaster with magenta crystal. Hand painted hot pink stripes down the barrel. Carries a concealed knife in his boot. Sometimes carries a shotgun/scattergun.

Relationships:

Family: Vellis and Tia Vexa (Parents), Teppi Zelco (Older sister, married to Kurst Zelco, they have three children, all under age 10).

Love Interests: Was in an on again, off again relationship with Beryl Thorne. They have 1 child together, Khoji Thorne. (Conceived on Rishi; Khano did not know she existed until after he was released from carbonite.)

Eventually met Theron Shan and they began their relationship. They broke up after the betrayal on Umbara, and in this time Khano casually dated other people. It took several months after Theron returned home from Nathema before they got back together and then got married.

Friends/Allies: Best friend is Corso Riggs. Considers both Koth and Lana to be close friends. Risha, Vette, Mako, and Rass Ordo are also notable friends.

History:

Khano's parents were both Republic soldiers in the Great galactic war. His father was a combat medic, and his mother was a sniper. (She was the one who taught Khano how to fire a blaster.) After the war they essentially became hippies and settled on a back corner of Dantooine where they grow the Long-Leaf.

Khano was a tall, wiry kid who wouldn't stop talking. His older sister usually bossed him around and never approved of his shenanigans.

When he got older and began to grow bigger and more hardy, Khano was put to work for his father and spent his summers trimming his father's crops, then accompanying him on deliveries and drop offs. When he got old enough, he started doing the rounds himself.

Khano had a penchant for getting in trouble, and in his late teens, he ended up leaving home to work with a smuggler crew who regularly ran spice.

He has a good relationship with his parents and visits them regularly.

Personality: Khano is laid-back, flirtatious, and charismatic. It is hard not to like him. He possesses a sharp wit, laughs frequently, and is usually seen smirking. He does, however, exude a sort of "bad boy" vibe. In his smuggler days he slept around, drank a lot, dabbled in spice. As a married man, he is a doting father and a loyal husband. He is a lot smarter than he lets on.

Other Information:

Likes: Huttball, gambling, swoop racing, ice cream, sex, Weequay metal, fist-fights.

Dislikes: "Last Call."

Hobbies: Restores classic swoop bikes, has an impressive blaster collection. Massive Huttball fan. Surprisingly, Khano enjoys reading. (Theron likes to tease him and call him a nerd, but actually finds it attractive.)

Habits: Khano enjoys smoking the long-leaf, usually what his father grows. He rarely smokes tobac. Social drinker. He requires caf in the morning to function.

Fears: Losing his hair

Trivia: Khano is left handed. He was named after his paternal grandfather. His eye colour is a genetic trait on his father's side, which he passed on to his own daughter.

This year I got to draw @vexa-legacy character Khano Vexa, the blue hair smuggler. Since I was allowed be creative I took inspiration from Han Solo Magazines. Hope you like it.

So I am trying to work on a bio write up for Izenom and Zaberial. I'm kind of at a loss for want to do (also trying not to do one for Aketho since the whole point was to give my other OCs the spotlight. XD). Might do something similar for them that @vexa-legacy did for Khano, but possibly not as detailed?

I don't know, I'm always at a loss for these things, especially since all the lore is just jumbled up in my head...and I have the pension to switch things up for toons. LOL

Beryl Thorne x Khano Vexa

Khano's on again, off again relationship with Beryl Thorne spanned over the course of a couple of years, resulting in the birth of their child, Khoji.

They were never fully exclusive to each other, but made it a point to see each other when their schedules aligned.

Beryl eventually broke it off with Khano on Rishi because she wanted a relationship with more substance, unknowing at the time that she was carrying his child.

They are still very close friends.

One of the benefits of managing a photolab is having access to all kinds of cool ways to print my shit. This one I had printed on metallic paper, which you can't really see in the photo, but the paper has an opalescence that makes bright colours pop.

Hung it last night on the Great Wall of Khano.
