My New Gen! Marvel OCs in the Harry Potter book series (written by Daniel Radcliff obviously). Featuring Eleanor Rogers as a Gryffindor, Artemis Xavier as a Huffelpuff, Poppy Alton as a Ravenclaw and Dana Maximoff as a Slytherin!

Apollo - One of the cousins Remi moved in with! He is Artemis's twin brother, and the more cheerful twin. He helped Remi learn how to read and write

Artemis - The other cousin Remi moved in with! He is Apollo's twin brother, and the more grumpy twin. He helped Remi learn how to use weapons

Molly - Remi's mother. Died when Remi was seven, killed by her husband, Lucian

Lucian - Remi's father. Arrested after killing his wife, Molly. Never wanted a female child in the first place, so he hated Remi

Harvey

Charles - Harvey's father. Tried to kill Harvey because of...reasons, but ended up getting killed (accidentally) by Harvey instead

Nyx - Harvey's older sister. She moved to Prussia when Harvey was still young, and returned after the war to rekindle relationships with her younger brother

Oliver - Took Harvey in after the boy basically orphaned himself. The ringmaster of his circus, thought not many people know where he came from. He was just...there, one day

Xavier

Christopher - Xavier's older brother. Supposedly died during the French and Indian War, but faked his death for...reasons, and has been living in Ireland ever since

Ruby Kyle, who you can read about here (she also has a fic!) Ashlynn Todd! Jason's twin, I don't have much lore behind her but she hates Bruce and basically left the family after Jason's death, and unlike her twin, never returned. She isn't considered part of the Batfam. Lilith Bleak, Klarion the Witch Boy's sister. Don't have much lore for her, but she dated Zatanna to piss off her brother.

MARVEL:

Camryn Barnes, she's a mulitversal variant of Clint and is the main character of my Artemis & Apollo duology. That I will totally get to. Nova Belova, also part of the Artemis & Apollo duology, they're a variant of Natasha. Alina Maximoff. Wanda and Pietro's triplet.

STAR WARS:

Maria "Mari" Stark, daughter of Eros and Tony Stark. (eros literally went "OO FINE MAN" and then did the do with tony ok we done bye) Rebecca "Beck" Barnes, daughter of Aphrodite and Bucky Barnes. Beck will get a story on my wattpad, maybe crossposted here. Adelaide Melina Romanoff, daughter of Athena and Natasha Romanoff. I kinda wanna explain this one, because I know it sounds weird. But Annabeth describes the way Athena "gets pregnant" by saying that Athena has a strong mental connection to a person, and that's "the truest form of love." At least to the wisdom goddess. So it's possible for Athena to "fall in love" with a woman and still have a child.

You said that Cherry was designed after Barbie, now I wanna know what the others are designed after. Especially Xaje, her brother, and Afia

Xaje was designed to be a bit of a mysterious female character with short hair, I had a specific trope in mind but I don't really have a name for it. Also, for her visuals, I wanted a black-and-white contrasting color scheme. I also wanted her to mostly appear to be soft. Xavier basically piggybacking off of that idea but also like the opposite. Where Xaje was soft, he was rough and sharp. It's also why he's relatively tall since she's pretty short. He's lost some of his edge from his character concept because I've grown entirely too fond of him. Afia's design went through many changes as she initially was not in the same story as Xaje. Her character concept was definitely always brown. Her clothing style was soft as well but flowy. I couldn't decide if I wanted her to be black or south Asian (Indian specifically) which is how I decided she should be both. Later I decided she'd have a religious aesthetic with influences from charlie brown and late '50s to '70s fashion. Lee Ann has far too many inspirations for me to count tbh but she was designed after an idol/sex worker concept that was supposed to be bright and make use of neon colors. So she bares a lot of resemblence to the memes from MEMEME!/GIRL protagonist, Kami-Sama. Her red star earrings are a direct reference to Jerrica Benton/ Jem from Jem. For Artemis, there were a lot of concepts for him but his design idea was that he'd wear a fur coat smoke cigarettes, and have long hair. He was supposed to look a bit tired and unkept. As his character evolved I decided id really exaggerate his hair and make it longer. The night I first drew him I also spontaneously decided to give him blonde tips based off of the musician Towkio. Morris's character concept was entirely to feed into the character archetype that was being poked fun of at the time which was the man with blonde hair and blue eyes who you have to guess if he's: a) Jack Morrison aka Soldier 76 (Overwatch), b) Joseph Christiansen (Dream Daddy Dating Simulator), or c) Steve Rogers aka Captain America (Marvel, duh). Though I will also say his concept started with the main character of the dating simulator, Coming Out On Top's main protagonist, Mark. The main idea is he is a clean-cut white guy who's gay. Caesar, who was pretty much created exactly around the time as Xaje bc I wanted two characters to come in a pair and be a duo, the concept was probably a mix of a lot of things. His design and personality take a couple notes from Fuyuhiko from DanganRonpa 2. but the idea for him was that he'd be aggressive but not necessarily burley or tall. In fact, I liked the idea of him being baby-faced. What's been pretty consistent in his design though is that his clothing style is a bit flamboyant and that he should look like he's made of gold. I’m not sure when I decided Joyce would have long silver hair? To be honest it was something I probably decided when I was making her look for this post  but Joyce was supposed to have a very distinct look every time you saw her but eventually I wanted to make her character more relevant and fashionable so I decided she’d have an insta baddie/ influencer look to her more than anything. Evol and Etah were based in appearance after  Aikurō Mikisugi from Kill la Kill (in both his nudist form and his everyday form) but honestly I’m glad they got a race lift because I’m not very fond of that character in retrospect. They’ve had many appearance references in the past years.  Travis was based off of someone who used to run this tumblr blog I followed a long time ago. They’ve long since left the site. I definitely wanted him to be a trans masc character who didn’t entirely fit everyone’s concept of masculinity since he shouldn’t have to! My decision to make him blasian was also in reference to an old OC I had that I’ve since retired. Clarrissa’s appearance takes inspiration from seductive characters and old comics of the like. Her idea was that she was a promiscuous character with a vintage aesthetic that was definitely rooted in rockabilly and pin-up art. Clover’s was based on the art of Kiwi-Byrd and their OCs. I’ve been a long time fan of their work.  Ferris was based off an older concept I had from a character which i suppose means his design takes cues from what alternative or indie men of color were wearing back in 2015.

Where I am considering some of these fandoms:

I am a Hadley!Raoul, Book!Raoul—and Raoul de Chagny in general—defender, and a Raoulstine shipper (BUT I love the Phantom/Erik and do not dislike him by any means 🥺), and I don't really like Love Never Dies much. Introducing my X-Men/Marvel OC, Artemis Malicroix. And I must confess to being so very out of practice with drawing, that I have to cheat for now with imagery not my own. All found through google-fu, but please if you see anything here and know the original creator I will absolutely credit.

But Artemis’ physical appearance in my mind’s eye freakishly matches this lesser known Batman Beyond character “Nissa” who is in the following two images. I found Nissa only after envisioning Artemis and it was too perfect not to use, even to the clothing choices.

Artemis is a mutant of course. She was born in the United States to a Greek mother and a French Creole father. Her parents divorced not long after her birth, and she was bounced back and forth from living with her father in Louisiana, to ocassionally with her mother who had returned to Europe.

Both her parents moved on, remarrying and having other children. Artemis was always the odd one out. But when her mutation began to manifest in her preteen years, it became clear she truly had no place with either parent as they could not help or understand her needs. Nor, would they stand up for her to create more unwanted tension with their new families.

Her father was still the more sympathetic of the two however, having heard stories of some of the less than savory mutant “rehabilition” centers that were emerging at the time and the abuse that occurred within. Though with great hesitation, he did personally reach out to the mutant community in New Orleans, eventually learning of a completely different type of school in Salem Center, New York.

Artemis was guarded, but with a false front of indifference to the whole transition to Xavier’s School for Gifted Youngsters. She knew she had nowhere else to go. So there was no point in resisting or caring, about anything or anyone. She was polite and intelligent, but completely withdrawn into herself at first arrival.

As like so many others before her though who first rejected themselves and lived in that insecurity, Artemis did eventually blossum under the teachings of Xavier and grew to find her own strengths and even leadership abilities.

A big sister to many of the other students already, she became a member of the X-Men when of age. As part of the team she is always practical and tries to remain level headed, thinking before acting, but willing to sacrifice in the moment if no other options remain. She is devotedly loyal to her X-Men family, but will still choose the moral highground if/when she thinks her fellow mutants are in the wrong.

Artemis’ mutation consists of a glowing energy she emits from within her own body. The color and vividness may change with her emotions, varying from pure bright white light to a soft blueish hue. In the beginning she could only draw it from her extremities, but as she aged she gained strength enough to envelop her entire body in the energy. It manifests as light in the visible spectrum, but she can transform it into something solid, creating concussive orbs and beams from her hands to be used offensively.

Defensively she can also use the energy to create powerful force fields around herself as well as other people/objects.

Once her energy field has enveloped an object, she can then move that object at will. This grants her the appearance of telekinesis, but in reality she is only manipulating her own energy around the object rather than moving it with pure psychic energy like some of her peers.

Through that energy manipulation she can levitate her own body as well, gaining the power of flight through these means.

Often the type of glow her body emits has been likened to that of the full moon, living up to her Greek goddess namesake. As a teen she enjoyed quietly practicing her powers after hours in the thick forests outside the mansion. As her friends slept, she’d cross the forest paths alone, making orbs of light and floating silently through the trees.
