Ametrine lacks compassion. She was never shown any. How could she have gained it on her own?

She feels nothing for that which she destroys. Not when it screams, not when it begs.

Ametrine knows that sometimes salvation is painful. Why should benevolence be compassionate?

They should be happy that she’s helping them at all, after all they’ve done. They should thank her.

But she doesn’t need their thanks. Ametrine only wants the praise and money of the living.

I can see this happening and it would. Two-Face doesn't like Pyrope, Ametrine doesn't like Batman and Quantum Quattro Silica doesn't like Ametrine.

some doodle pages from a while ago of The Drama of Red getting caught in one of the earth kindergartens before anyone knew he was (or at least he was out as) a fusion. since beryl and almandine were created to oversee and manage gem creation, they share an innate fascination with the concept and would sometimes visit the kindergartens out of curiosity. almandine at least genuinely believes they can make sustainable kindergartens and gem production, but beryl is quite hesitant of being caught being interested in gem production as the process was extremely destructive and most gems (and people) consider it in a very negative light.

this was likely the first time their fusion was undone due to an internal conflict in 100s of years

anyway since I can't sleep, I figured out Ametrine.

She/her, 5'10. Belobog miner and maintenance tech for the Big Machines. Depressed. Functional alcoholic. Family was from a town that got swallowed up by the Fragmentum (what else is new) Might've ended up as a vagrant but she managed to get a steady job in the mines crushing and transporting waste rock at first.

Physical/Destruction. High HP/low speed. Applies a DOT called Fracture that gets activated with her attacks and allies' instead of activating on enemy turns. (Causing damage + inflicting Shattered state which lowers their defense and increases vulnerability to crit)

Carries a huge fuck off hammer because it's fucking hot. She's got goggles and a bandana because you need your PPE. Wears thick leather gloves and a big thick Carhartt jacket over her overalls. She's beautiful.

And when the Stellaron is gone and the clouds clear up, she finally sees a sunset in the overworld for the first time realizes it was worth holding on day to day just to see this.
