So I planned a week of talking about my OCs but I wrote so much due to writing about episodes one of them would appear in that it lagged whenever I tried editing it again so I'm starting over. I'll put their profiles, a synopsis of Xavier and Christina's backstory, and extra information first then put the episodes the main OC will appear in a separate post.

Warning: mentions of SA, kidnapping, and violence that includes murder, stabbing, and loss of blood.

Synopsis (Before "Jinxed") :

Xavier grew up trying to be the kind and pacifist yellow orb he was supposed to be, but it was hard because people would be bullied left and right at his school without any consequences. One day, one of the bullies targeted him by pouring paint on his head. This made Xavier snap and repeatedly punch them in the face before slamming them against a wall, rendering them unconscious. Their friends went over to beat up Xavier but he was extremely fast and did a karate chop motion on the back of their heads to also render them unconscious. Xavier would become increasingly violent and cruel to others to the point of not even Zac being able to calm him down. This all continued until Xavier met Ivy in high school.

Ivy was the only one to stand up to Xavier and stop him from beating up another bully, and when that bully laughed at him for being stopped by a girl, Ivy grabbed their arm and twisted it so they knew she wasn't on their side either. Xavier slowly began to hang out with Ivy and started befriending her to the point of developing a crush on her. Xavier still had his moments of violence and cruelty but it was less often and never targeted towards Ivy. One day Xavier got a message from Ivy's pac-phone that had an address, no other message. Xavier was suspicious but he went to the address anyways which was an ordinary looking house. He knocked but no one answered so he tried the door handle to find it was unlocked. He opened the door and found the two bullies from his class on either side of Ivy who was tied onto a chair. Bully 1 was watching him while grinning and Bully 2 was forcibly kissing Ivy while she tried turning her head away. Xavier was enraged while Bully 1 laughed and said this was payback and that they'll force him to watch them escalate the torture. Xavier immediately pulled out a knife and stormed towards them which made Bully 1 back away while Bully 2 kept kissing Ivy.

Xavier grabbed Bully 2 by the hair and dragged him off of Ivy with the knife at the underside of his head. Bully 2 just laughed it off and said Xavier was too much of a pussy to do anything with the knife since yellow ones are incapable of committing murder. This sent Xavier off the edge as he plunged the knife through Bully 2's stomach. He immediately started coughing up blood, as Xavier pulled the knife out, and collapsed to the ground with blood pouring out of the wound. Ivy was shocked, a little nervous, and slightly impressed while Bully 1 was horrified and backed away even more. Bully 2 was screaming for help while in pain, as Xavier looked over at Bully 1 who had his hands up in surrender. Xavier knew if he let Bully 1 go he would tell everyone, so he threw the knife at his head and he collapsed to the floor dead. Xavier walked over and pulled the knife out before cutting the ropes off of Ivy and leading her out of the house.

Xavier got away with murder that night, since Ivy kept quiet, and soon graduated high school. Somewhere along the way Xavier meets Betrayus, who he got along with as they both didn't like their goody two shoes brothers. Around the time the PacWorld War began, Ivy fell pregnant which was worrying since it was during a war, but Betrayus said she'd be taken care of by the doctors as a thank you for helping him. When the due date finally arrived, Betrayus kept his promise as doctors rushed to help her deliver the baby. However the baby was coming out feet first so the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, and her head was stuck. Ivy didn't want her baby to die so she told the doctors to cut her open as wide as they needed to save her baby, and to not worry about her survival. The next time Xavier saw his wife, he was sitting beside the medical bed trying to accept she was already dead. A doctor walked into the room which diverted Xavier's attention to him. He walked up to Xavier and handed him a small yellow baby who was staring up at him with big green and red eyes.

Christina would be raised in Betrayus' base for three years; two of which she could remember, being told by her father that the freedom fighters are the enemy and that Betrayus will be the new ruler of PacWorld. During the war, Xavier created a knife that had red vine patterns on the handle, and could slice through metal and armor. It was an effective weapon during the PacWorld, but it was hard to use when most weapons were guns. Christina discovered her ability to shapeshift into animals by accident when she shapeshifted into a fox in front of Buttler and Betrayus to play around. Buttler didn't know what to think but Betrayus found it cute and pet her head. Xavier found out about this later on and told Christina not to shapeshift around others; worried that others won't have the same calm reactions as Buttler and Betrayus.

Christina only briefly met Dr Buttocks a few times but it was usually "hello"s and waves, no actual conversations. Two years into the war, Betrayus and Xavier started to develop more than platonic feelings for eachother; but obviously kept this quiet, since this was a war not a date, and that they'll confess after Betrayus wins the war. They never got to confess however, since Betrayus lost the war, and Xavier ran away with Christina on his shoulders.

Xavier was on the run for six months with Christina by his side, not understanding where Betrayus had gone and why they had to leave the base when they were clearly safe there. Christina tried to ask him but but all Xavier said was "The freedom fighters got him."

Christina didn't fully understand what that meant but she understood that Betrayus wasn't coming back. One day while in a clearing in the woods, Xavier stares off into space for a moment while thinking about this life up until now, when he suddenly hears Christina yelling for him.

"Daddy look! There's a squid alien! It has big muscles too!"

Xavier ran over to her with his knife out and saw a tall, grey, squid-looking alien with big blue eyes and impressive biceps. The alien was armed with a laser gun but he wasn't aiming it at Christina, in fact he was more curious about her. He leaned down to pick her up but Xavier appeared between him and Christina in a flash and cut the alien across the mouth with his knife. The alien backed up with one hand over his mouth and his laser gun aimed at them with the other hand. Christina's eyes widened seeing the alien get hurt and didn't understand why her father hurt him when he hasn't hurt her. She watched as the cut on the aliens mouth regenerated and the alien let out a grunt in annoyance.

???: Well aren't you a fast one? Two yellow orbs huh, that'll make my leader happy.

Xavier: I'm not sure what the hell you are but you're not getting your hands on me or my daughter!

???: We'll see about that.

The alien fired his laser gun at Xavier but he disappeared and cut the alien across the arm, making him drop the laser gun. Xavier grabs it before picking Christina up and running away from the alien. Since Xavier's going so fast, Christina can only see the alien staring at them for a few seconds before she and her father disappeared from sight.

At some point, Xavier and Christina met a giant alien robot who stood over them with its one red eye narrowed.

Robot: Well, well, two yellow orbs huh? This'll be interesting, you must be the ones Tip reported to me about.

Christina: Wow! Big robot! You look awesome!

Robot: Hahaha! Thank you little girl, but that won't save you and your father!

Christina's cheeks were blushing bright red in admiration of the giant robot but Xavier didn't feel the same; the robot was an enemy. The robot just looked down at them with its arms crossed and smirking, treating this situation like it was a game of cat and mouse. The robot fired a laser at them but Xavier dodged, and fired a laser from the stolen laser gun at the robot, which it dodged as well.

Robot: Yup definitely the yellow orbs Tip reported to me about; after all he got his laser gun stolen and you have one.

Xavier: Are you here because we stole it?? I'll give it back then if you spare my daughter.

Robot: Hahaha! I'm here for a different reason yellow orb, but I'll let you find out yourself. We Pointyheads will be watching and waiting for the right time to take you two.

The robot then flies away, leaving Xavier confused and suspicious. A few days later, they encountered a light blue pacworlder with dark aqua hair, sunglasses, wore sleeves and pants that look similar to a puffer jacket, metallic boots, and carried a strange gun.

Pacinator: I'm not going to sugarcoat anything just because there's a child here. I'm the Pacinator and I'm here to ice out you yellow ones.

Xavier: What?? I'm sorry, are you high? How is that stupid little thing going to "ice" us out?

Pacinator: Allow me to demonstrate!

The Pacinator aims the gun at Christina and fires yogurt towards her. Xavier is quick to move her out of the way, as the yogurt hits a tree nearby and freezes part of it.

Pacinator: Impressed? That's how I'll ice out every last yellow one!

Xavier: Why the hell would you want to ice out the yellow ones?? Who hired you to do this?!

Pacinator: The Pacinator never divulges his clients! I'm not scared of the only yellow one to ever betray PacWorld, which makes you more of an interesting catch.

Xavier: Was it someone called a "Pointyhead"?

Pacinator: .......

The Pacinator remained silent for a minute while Xavier was deciding between attacking and fleeing. He thought about Christina who could get frozen at any second, and even if he could run away with her, he isn't sure if he could thaw her out since the ice on the tree hadn't melted yet. Xavier eventually made up his mind and ran away with Christina on his shoulder and the Pacinator laughing while chasing them both down.

Pacinator: You can't hide forever Xavier! It'll either be me or the freedom fighters who get ya!

Deep down, Xavier knew the Pacinator had a chance of catching up to him; but he'd never let the freedom fighters catch him alive, that he'd promise. Xavier wanted to fight the Pacinator but he wanted to keep his daughter safe and away from whoever hired this man to ice out the yellow ones. Even though he could no longer hear or see the Pacinator behind them, it was only a matter of time before he caught up. Xavier had never been this scared for his life or his daughter's life but he wasn't about to let Christina die. He eventually entered a clearing in the forest and set Christina down.

Xavier: Listen little spark, I can't take care of you anymore. That man is dangerous and I can't risk fighting him around you.

Christina: But dad...those freedom fighters are after us! If that man gets you, he'll come after me too!

Xavier: That man isn't a freedom fighter. I don't know who sent him after us but the freedom fighters wouldn't hurt a toddler, I know that.

Christina: B-but I can't be alone without you dad!

Xavier: I'm sorry little spark but this has to be done. He can't ice you out and take you wherever the people who hired you. They'd hurt you and I can't have that happen.

As Christina teared up, Xavier put his fedora on her head and gave her his journal and the knife; wanting to pass down that very weapon to her if he doesn't survive and for her to remember him through his journal, completely unaware of her photographic memory.

Xavier: I don't know how far behind that man is but I want you to turn into an animal and run away alright?

Christina: But what about you? You don't have anything to fight that man with!

Xavier: Don't worry little spark, I have this.

He then pulls out the laser gun he stole from the alien a few days ago. Christina put on the fedora and stuffed the journal and retractable knife in her pocket.

Xavier: Goodbye little spark, I'm sorry.

Christina sniffled as she turned into a fox.

Christina: Goodbye dad.

Christina ran away as Xavier wiped his eyes to stop tears from falling down his face. He then turned around and ran in the direction he came from to confront the Pacinator. After a few minutes of running, he finally found him again.

Pacinator: Haha you actually returned! Aw did you abandon your daughter to save her? How sad, I'll find her anyway and ice her out after I deal with you.

Xavier brought out the laser gun which surprised the Pacinator, Xavier had come into contact with the very species that hired him. The Pacinator shook it off and they both aimed their guns at each other. Xavier wasn't exactly a marksman but he wasn't going to give up that easily, not on himself or his daughter. He held down the button on the laser gun and fired it at the Pacinator, but he stumbled a little due to how strongly the laser came out. The Pacinator laughed and easily dodged as he fired the yogurt gun at Xavier, who dodges and shoots the laser gun again. This time he gets a better shot but the Pacinator narrowly dodges and is actually a little startled. They keep going back and forth with shooting and dodging each other with Xavier getting more used to the laser gun and getting more accurate aims. The Pacinator suddenly starts spraying shooting with the yogurt gun which catches Xavier off guard, since he didn't think that was entirely possible. Bits of yogurt fly everywhere as Xavier tries to dodge but has to be slower to see where all the yogurt bits are headed. Unfortunately some large bits of yogurt get on Xavier and he's frozen solid.

After hours of running, Christina collapses out of her fox form and into her normal form. She lifted the fedora off her head since it was way too big for her and looked around. She had run into an area with collapsed buildings that looked like they had been blown up, as there was smoke and ash everywhere. Christina looked around but there was no one in sight, no one alive that is. She looked under some of the rubble and saw two dismembered pacworlders covered in blood, making her gasp and back away in fright. She turned back into a fox and sprinted away into the distance away from all the rubble and debris scattered everywhere.

Eleven years later, Christina was now in high school where she was the most violent and aggressive student; just like her father once was. She was found by pacworlders five years prior and put in an orphanage. When she was put into school, people bullied her for being yellow but quickly shut up once they were all beaten up by her. Now in high school, not much has changed as she hurls a punch at anyone who speaks behind her back or riles her up, which she gives an extra hard beating to so they don't want to rile her up ever again. There were four students in her year who have never bothered her so they haven't been beaten up at all. The teachers tried talking to her but as time went on, they became afraid of her. Christina was walking through the halls as everyone avoided eye contact with her, until she came across a new student; a light rose pacworlder with flamingo pink hair, golden eyes, long white sleeves, black jeans, and red sneakers. She had a sunflower hair clip in her hair which made her look even more pretty than she already was.

Despite her violent nature, Christina wasn't one to best someone up without giving them a chance to see who they really are, so she decided to talk to her.

Christina: Hey—

???: Oh my god a yellow one?! I thought you guys went extinct during the PacWorld war!

Christina: Uhm well I didn't. Is there a problem?

Flora: No you're super pretty! My name's Flora by the way.

Christina: Oh wow no one's ever said that to me before. I'm Christina. Tips her Fedora and gives Flora a little bow

Flora: No one thinks you're pretty?! You're so cute! Also does no one even know about yellow ones? You guys eat ghosts and save people! I can't believe people wouldn't like you.

Christina: They already don't like me because I throw punches at everyone for talking crap about me.

Flora: Ah just ignore them! They're all losers anyways.

For the first time ever since joining school, Christina felt warmth in her chest after hearing Flora be so kind. Sure there were four students who never bothered her but they never spoke to her either, so there were no kind words said from anyone. Not even the teachers said anything but Christina wasn't even sure if the teachers ever liked her before she got violent with everyone. Christina slowly started hanging out with Flora and got closer with her as time went on. She learned that Flora was also an orphan but went to a different orphanage than she did, and she also lost her parents during the PacWorld war. On her fifteenth birthday, Flora gifted Christina a brown and black jacket with a fox shaped hood, which made Christina blush as she realised she was developing a crush on Flora. She wasn't sure how Flora would react or if she'd want to still be friends with her, so she kept quiet about it.

One day, Christina arrived at school and saw everyone whispering to each other while glancing at her. Christina was confused but also got a little agitated, until she heard what they were whispering.

Student 1: Blake's gone too far with this!

Student 2: This wasn't a part of the plan! It wasn't meant to go this way.

Christina: What the hell are you all talking about?!

Everyone fell silent for a few seconds before the sound of a door opening grabbed everyone's attention, as Blake and his friend Mike walked out of a room. Blake used to bully Christina the most while Mike was usually the kind to watch without saying anything. Blake had a look on his face that looked like he found something funny but he was also agitated and nervous, while Mike had a sympathetic look on his face. Blake suddenly threw something at Christina's feet and snorted, clearly trying to hold in a chuckle, while everyone around them had a look of anticipation on their faces. Christina looked down and her eyes widened with shock, sadness, and anger as she saw the body of Flora curled up at her feet. She was heavily bleeding, her clothes were ripped due to slits on her arms, she had several wounds all over her body, her hair was all messed up, and worst of all; she was cold. Blake suddenly spoke up with a cocky tone in his voice.

Blake: Don't worry she's fine! I just had to teach you a lesson for hurting others for no reason. We had a right to bully you since you're an ugly lemon head, am I right everyone?

No one responded. The bullying and gossiping had stopped after Flora had informed them about the yellow ones and why they were important. Although most people didn't believe in ghosts, it did explain why Christina was extremely fast and strong, so they stopped bullying and talking about her behind her back. They realized Christina's kind has been important in the past so they silently admired her. Blake grumbled and turned back to Christina.

Blake: Whatever. Just take her to the nurses office and she'll be okay.

Christina bent down and moved her hand across Flora's body to try and look for a pulse, but there wasn't one; her body was cold so she was long gone. Christina looked up at Blake with tears in her eyes.

Christina: She's dead.

Everyone gasped softly and felt bad for being a part of a plan that involved hurting Flora. They wanted to get back at Christina for hurting them by hurting the one she loved the most, but they never wanted to get murder involved; they wanted to simply scare Flora, but Blake clearly had other ideas and went too far. Even though Christina had slowly stopped beating people up, everyone in their year group excluding the four students who rarely spoke to Christina, wanted revenge. Thinking about it now, it was all pointless to continue having a vendetta against Christina after all they've learned about her kind and that she's changed. Instead of feeling remorse, Blake just scoffed.

Blake: Well sorry, not my fault she was weak. I guess she couldn't handle being beaten and stabbed that many times.

After those words spilled out of his face, everyone felt the air get so heavy they were sure if it was a metaphorical feeling or not. Everyone looked at Christina and felt the color drained from their faces; her eyes were full of such rage and hatred in a way they've never seen before. The girl that she loved was dead because of them. The girl who had stopped Christina from beating up other students and had changed their perspective on the yellow one, was gone. Christina was blinded by rage and couldn't control her anger towards everyone who was involved in Flora's death; especially Blake and Mike, which gave her an idea.

Christina ran towards everyone at such blinding speeds it looked like she was teleporting. Students tried to run away but they could barely even turn around and take a step; they couldn't even scream. Christina kicked, punched, and elbowed 48 students; sending their blood, sweat, tears, and teeth flying everywhere, along with breaking some of their bones. When she was done, her hands and face were covered in blood and she was shaking from adrenaline. All that was heard was Christina's heavy breathing and the groaning and whimpers of the injured students. Mike and Blake were scared of her and were backed up against a wall, as she went around destroying cameras to hide any evidence of her assaulting the other students. Christina then appeared in front of Mike and beat his face in, but was interrupted by the sound of approaching footsteps.

She scooped up Flora's body and backed into a corner while shedding genuine tears, as a teacher walked round the corner with wide eyes. He looked at Mike, Blake, and Christina with a look that wanted someone to explain why 48 students were injured, including Mike so 49 then.

Christina: Blake did it! He and everyone else planned Flora's murder and then he destroyed the cameras after beating everyone up trying to get to me.

Mike: I-its's true. We planned to harm her to get revenge o-on Christina but we didn't mean to lead it to m-murder—

Teacher: YOU PLANNED A MURDER?! ALL OF YOU?!?! THAT'S HORRIBLE! I'M CALLING THE POLICE!

The teacher sprinted away and Blake tries to run after him, but is stopped by Mike. Christina was surprised Mike wasn't acting like the coward he usually is.

Blake: Get the hell off me! You're going to get us to jail!

Mike: Good. We deserve it after all that's happened. We were supposed to scare her not murder her, so this is what we deserve.

Blake: What the fuck?! You're supposed to be a coward—!

He's cut off as Mike punches him across the face as goes flying into a wall. Christina is confused by this sudden turn of events but keeps holding Flora's body as the sound of sirens approaches the school.

Two weeks pass and Christina is packing up her things to leave the orphanage. All 50 students in her year group, aside from the four who didn't do anything nor even know about the plan on Flora, were charged with criminal conspiracy. Christina has become severely depressed over the loss of Flora and wears the jacket she gifted her everyday, only washing it if it smells REALLY really bad. The day before, she stole a hoverboard that had tucked under her arm as she finished packing. She put on her backpack and sighed as she jumped out the window and snuck around. She was going to use the hoverboard but then decided to put it in her jacket pocket, as she shapeshifted into a cat and ran away from the orphanage.

🌟When Apex sent the Pacinator after Xavier, he told him to use a special deep-freeze on him so he would stay frozen for several months.

🌟 Christina cannot remember anything before she turned a year old.

🌟 Ivy was born from a bloodline of the only yellow ones that can shapeshift into animals. That ability was passed down to Christina after Ivy died.

🌟 Like Sunny, Ivy was a great cook and her meals were loved by everyone at Betrayus' base. She wrote down the recipes for the food she made, and Xavier wrote them down in his journal so he would remember them.

🌟 While Christina doesn't mind eating ghosts, she's way more interested in having adventures than being a hero, so she eats ghosts while trying to avoid being seen by other Pacworlders with her enhanced speed.

🌟 Christina tips her fedora as a greeting because this is how Xavier would greet new people whether he's friendly or hostile towards them.

🌟 Around the time Flora started educating others about the yellow ones, Pac started becoming popular in Pacopolis. The town Christina lived in had been ghost free for over a hundred years, so they never got any ghost invasions, and also didn't know about Pac since they live in a different region far from Pacopolis.

🌟Dusky is a orange ghost with fox ears and a tail. He is very withdrawn from the other ghosts and usually spies on them, rather than interacting with them. He never left the NetherWorld, even after Pac opened up the portal, until after 'Invasion of the Pointy Heads' when he met Christina. Dusky was scared of Christina but she was absolutely fascinated by him, since she'd never seen a ghost that looked like an animal. Afterwards they became allies.

🌟Dr Scorpio is an alien scientist that kidnaps Christina while she was on a mission to collect Ghosteroid slime for one of Sir Cumference's inventions. He used a giant mechanical claw to grab the lemon rocket and dragged it into the planet. He's got a large scorpion tail that he can choose to either poison or lull someone; however due to her enhanced endurance, it took 20 stings to neutralize Christina.

🌟Porcini is a three foot tall creature that is a failed experiment of Dr Scorpio's. She's a moth with small horns, black eyes, a fluffy body, small legs, slightly bigger arms, the cap of a red cap mushroom on her head, and a small tail. She escapes the planet Dr Scorpio lives on with Christina after they work together to fight him.

🌟 Xavier met Dr Scorpio while on the run from the pointyheads. Dr Scorpio was excited to experiment on a yellow orb but Xavier ended up almost killing him with his bare hands. Xavier said if Dr Scorpio fixed a vehicle he stole, he would spare him, and Dr Scorpio obliged.

🌟 Dr Scorpio didn't realize Christina was related to Xavier until he visited her after the experiment he did on her while she was unconscious. He saw her eyes were the same color as Xavier's and immediately panicked, but tried to manipulate her into thinking he's her creator. Christina still had her memories and tried to kill Dr Scorpio alongside one of his failed experiments, but he managed to escape while on the brink of death.

🌟 Dr Scorpio tracked Christina's whereabouts a few days before she found the tracker he implanted on her and destroyed it. As revenge for almost killing him, Dr Scorpio went to PacWorld and infected everyone with a yellow custard looking fluid (same appearance as the cure from "Rip Van Packle"), which made everyone happy in a crazed way.

Měsíční souhrn: červen 2023

(3. 7. 2023) Dveře do léta.

Nejlepší kávou šestého měsíce i prvního půlroku se stala naturální Etiopie Arbegona od Father’s a mohu to říci bezpečně, protože posledních pět týdnů jsem třikrát denně nepil nic jiného. Pražena 22. března, velice stabilní na mlýnku a krásné jako espresso i cappuccino/cafe latte. Nejlepší interpretace v podobě doppia a silných 15/20 na MDXS a Appii I od Nuova Simonelli (17.8 g, 26 s) a takřka stejně dobrý byl nejpovedenější vzorek na mém vybavení.

"Mlékem v topu” posledních měsíců je pro mne albertovská Česká chuť Bio, což je privátně převlečená zelená Bio Olma se 4 % tuku. Je o 10 Kč levnější než “značkový” originál (běžně 32, v akci 28.90) a barevně se to v chlaďáku velmi plete, ale doporučuji si dát pozor a vyzkoušet ji. V kombinaci s uvedenou surovinou to byla krásná, dlouhá a velmi stabilní sňůra mléčných kafíček.

Uplynul rok od vydání kavárenské mapy a protože jsem dostal několik dotazů, zda bude nějaký update, odpovídám, že na novou linku to zatím nevypadá. A protože bych chtěl, aby na diagramu byly patrné větší než kosmetické změny, aktualizace nastane nejdřív za rok. Výstavba metra také většinou probíhá v cyklech, kdy se nejprve vytvoří základ sítě a další linky přibývají pomaleji a s odstupem.

Přesně dle predikcí dopadl Dr. Indy Curry Master (dříve známý jako Flavours na Jakubáku), takto spojení indické kuchyně a točené Plzně, který se před zhruba rokem přestěhoval z Nového Lískovce do Tržnice Brno a je k pronájmu za 50 tis. Kč měsíčně.

Nástupce Teplárny a dalších podniků, tedy svérázná, neutěšená a suterénní kavárna s esoterickými prvky o výměře 81 metrů je k mání za 20 tis. Kč a i když inzerát realitky prezentuje podnik jako vynikající, foto vyjevující mikrovlnku, přístroj na párek v rohlíku nebo hadičku vedoucí do krabice trvanlivé Madety hovoří jinou a nesmlouvavou řečí.

Už před pár týdny zavřelo MashBro s oranžovou Elektrou a Quamarem na Hlavním nádraží a po nedlouhém čase (znovu)prodloužené otvíračky to definitivně zabalila pobočka řetězce Burrito Loco (na skle je leták realitky). Ani v jednom případě jsme se na dveřích nedočkali rozloučení nebo poděkování za přízeň.

Těsně před dokončením je pobočka bubble tea řetězce v areálu Hlavního nádraží – na baru už mají Saeco a Puly Caff a Puly Milk Plus – a další tapiokový podnik zamýšlejí spustit během srpna v prostorách bývalého řeznictví na Minoritské. Pátý srpnový den se má v prostorách neúspěšně resuscitovaného Dobrého jídla z Moravy (OC Letmo) otevřít provoz s vietnamskými specialitami.

V baru každé pondělí za půlku, v sobotu Yo Yo Band na Lesné zdarma. :-)

V posledních měsících se na mě obrátilo několik čtenářů, kteří zvažují otevření vlastní kavárny a třebaže mě těší, že se jim stránky líbí, neopomenul jsem je varovat před riziky nového provozu v nepředstavitelně přehuštěném městě a opakovaně doporučil, aby si nejprve, byť jen na pár měsíců, vyzkoušeli, co tato práce obnáší.

V posledním případě jsem pak zdůraznil, že to, že v Brně postrádám ochutnávkový espresso bar na stojáka s pár druhy rozlévaného vína, je jen můj názor. Opravdu bych se totiž nechtěl dočkat toho, že nějaká kavárna bude uvádět, že koncept jim doporučil Žlutý Zákazník. :-)

Vím, že to vytahuji prakticky neustále, ale stále si myslím, že každý, kdo o vlastním provozu byť jen vzdáleně uvažuje, měl by si nejprve nejen přečíst, ale především vstřebat a do svého konání promítnout tento text.

Kavárny i “kavárny” jsou totiž v Brně už opravdu všude. Vedle autosalonů, soukromých klinik nebo kadeřnictví a barber shopů jsem totiž v červnu zaznamenal novou přítomnost kávy také v knihkupectvích. A nemám tím pochopitelně na mysli dedikované provozy s 58mm pákou a profi mlýnkem v Academii, Knihcentru (Olympie) nebo medializovaném Dobrovském na Joštove, ale kávový koutek Luxoru (NC Královo Pole, kde je linečka s dřezem, plastomatem Philco a šálky Club House) nebo mezipatro Barviče a Novotného na České (foto níže). Přidají se i Levné knihy a Apokryf?

Kvalitní šálky ke kapslové kávě? Hezký obal není všechno, což platí i pro knihy.

Ač jsme měli s kamarádem a kolegou v červnu nabitý pracovní program, našli jsme volný den na víceméně pravidelný výlet do polského pohraničí. Tentokrát jsme ovšem místo promrskaného polského Těšína zvolili Ratiboř, jedno ze dvou historických center Horního Slezska, abychom si prohlédli předpokládané hezké město, ochutnali pirohy a přivezli pár lahví oblíbeného Baltic Porteru.

Město velikosti Opavy (cca 55 000 obyvatel) je bohužel méně atraktivní než bývalé hlavní sídlo rakouského/českého Slezska a architektonicky snad i zaostává za Cieszynem a jeho centrálním náměstím a přilehlými ulicemi. K naší lítosti, a to nám potvrdili i v turistických informacích, zde nemají ani jednu specializovanou koblihárnu a pirohárna je toliko jedna.

Nakoukli jsme a třebaže si tu knedlíčky nade vší pochybnost dělají sami (čtyři slečny a dámy za sklem intenzivně válely těsto a prsty je formovaly do žádoucího tvaru), výsledek postrádal chuť i finesu, jakou jsme zaznamenali v Rybniku a já pak ve Štětíně, Varšavě nebo Vratislavi. Těch 30 až 40 let praxe je prostě znát. 13/20 a útěchou bylo to, že degustační set pro dva (24 kousků s šesti různými náplněmi) vyšel v přepočtu na pouhých 80 Kč na osobu.

Co se týče kavárenské scény, je to tu také docela úhor a předem vytipovaná nejlepší kavárna třetivlnného stylu (cihlové zdi, vintage propriety a kolo na zdi) mě/nás bohužel zklamala velmi základní úrovní připraveného doppia (kilo použité suroviny tu prodávají za 90 PLN, tj. necelých 500 Kč a tak si lze domyslet, kolik asi stojí zelené zrno v nákupu), které jsme dostali do espresso šálků. Kvalitě a obecně nižším cenám v Polsku odpovídala i cena, jež činila v přepočtu 48 Kč). A to byla ta lepší a odvážnější volba ze dvou mlýnků!

Mísa s pirohy v Ratiboři. 24 kousků jsme zvládli s přehledem, ale do večera jsme nejedli a sdílený baltic porter i káva byly pro vytrávení nutností.

Proč to nikdo nemůže vozit do Brna a ČR? Dva slavní zástupci polského pivního stylu a za směšné peníze (tentokrát 4.59 až 5.49 PLN). Možná to dospěje tak daleko, že si jednou za dva či tři měsíce udělám výlet na Ostravsko a ve výčepu mě jak je rok dlouhý neuvidí...

Pražírna MIGA v Ratiboři bohužel nic moc. Vlastně hodně nic moc, protože jejich doppio bylo tak na úrovni základu od Penerini. (11/20).

A pivo? Jelikož se nám nechtělo do Auchanu na předměstí (pěšky tak 5 kilometrů podél výpadovky, přičemž místní MHD jezdí sporadicky a pracovnice infocentra nedokázala najít spoj), spokojili jsme se s hypermarketem E.Leclerc, který ale, jak se záhy ukázalo, není žádný Auchan, Carrefour nebo Intermarché.

Prodejní plocha neměla daleko k sešlé hale Alberta na Veveří před rekonstrukcí a nabídka craftových piv neexistující. Ale hlavní dva zástupce stylu Baltic Porter tu měli a tak jsme sem nešli úplně marně. Ve dvou specializovaných večerkách v centru bylo k vidění i pár věcí od Pinty, ale to už je hodně známá záležitost v duchu českého Clocka nebo Matušky.

Hlavním a z mého pohledu jediným důvodem, proč nyní zvažuji opakovanou návštěvu města, je výstava mědirytů a dřevořezů Albrechta Dürera, největšího malíře a grafika záalpské renesance. Když jsem nedaleko centráln�� umístěné pobočky infocentra uviděl áčko s jeho Melancholií, užasl jsem, jak je toto vůbec možné uspořádat ve městě podobné velikosti. (Výstava trvá do 16. srpna.)

Je tu léto a tím pádem i pravidelné kavárenské a designové toulky po Čechách, Moravě a Slezsku, které si i letos chci rozdělit na dva turnusy (od 4. 7. a druhá půlka srpna), protože na dvoutýdenní blok prostě nemám sílu a svou roli samozřejmě hraje i výrazné zdražení letní jízdenky, která už není prakticky zadarmo, ale jen velmi výhodná. Studenti a senioři ji ovšem mají i nadále za hubičku.

SLOVAK TÝŽDEŇ zůstal na 29 eurech (letos poprvé lze koupit přes e-shop ZSSK a člověk nemusí do příhraniční pokladny) a polský Multiprzejazd mírně prodloužil platnost a člověk tak může křižovat zemí našeho severního souseda vlaky TLK a IC celé tři dny (úterý až čtvrtek) od 119 PLN.

A sladká a pozitivní tečka na závěr. Když jsem cestou pro nákup do Alberta na Halasově náměstí zaslechl na parkovišti asi nejabsurdnější výmysl o Putinem rozpoutané válce – dvojice mužů ukládajících petky Staropramenu do auta se shodla, že v tancích a obrněných transportérech útočících na Ukrajinu z Ruska jsou vlastně Ukrajinci, kteří mluví rusky – napadlo mě podívat se do regálu na aktuální nabídku mraženého krému v oplatce.

Žádnou ukrajinskou jsem nenašel, ale zato jsem padl na verzi uvedenou na titulní fotce, jež obsahuje, a teď se podržte, celých 44 % smetany. Ano, ve složení bych něco málo vynechal, ale podstatná je chuť a s přihlédnutím k ceně (19.90 Kč) je to za mne jednoznačné doporučení na léto. Klidně se přiznám, že během posledních deseti dnů jsem si ji dal šestkrát. :-))

Nic dobré netrvá navždy a očekávám, že výrobek buďto zdraží, začnou šidit složení anebo jej stáhnou z prodeje. Chcete-li zakusit to, co mám na mysli, když u brněnských řemeslných zmrzlin lamentuji nad vodnatostí a mělkostí (onen chybějící vodopád smetanové chuti), kupte si balení pro sebe i děti. Už při první cihličce mě mile překvapilo, jak to není přeslazené. 14/20 a aspoň malá náplast za skutečnost, že Marks and Spencer zrušil v Brně a prý i Praze oddělení mražených výrobků.
