the legion's Mars is real and a shambling, undead mess; a mix of the new mythology and implanted memories of what he was millenia ago. as a war god, he theoretically should be well suited for the wasteland - but essentially only the legion worship him, and even then only a small portion. the Courier keeps darting in to steal bites of his still-moving corpse, slowly whittling him down in much the same way that they are slowly killing the legion.

answering this for my couriers specifically cuz i have too many ocs

Courier Six/Omen: they're doin fine, they're a god. they continue to act as messenger, able to track down the recipients of a message with uncanny precision in a world where a lot of people are nomadic. biggest issue is if people see them get bit and they have to vanish before someone tries to kill them first.

Honey: on the one hand, she is fifteen. on the other, she is deeply psychic. survival depends on how quickly she can hone her powers. would likely need to stay in more open spaces where she can explode crowds with her mind, because in a confined space she could be overwhelmed/injure herself. long-term condition dependent on if she can find a suitable mentor to shadow/return to her family.

Acetone: glory hound. does well initially, gets overconfident, gets eaten by a horde.

Ava: Probably dead. If the apocalypse is new, likely doesn't figure out exactly what the situation is in time to avoid trouble; would see a zombie, go "dude what the fuck's your problem", and get bit. Past that initial hurdle, would still struggle. She's a loner who might not be able to bring herself to work with others even in such dire circumstances. Likely candidate for a non-zombie related death, ex. falls in a hole or crashes a car.

Ennio: if this is pre-amnesia, is extremely loyal to his hometown and helps them become entrenched as a relatively safe location. if this is post-amnesia, wanders the wasteland killing anything that crosses him/is in the relentless pursuit of vengeance to the exclusion of all else. likely to fall in with a legion-like group of might makes right/hyper-violent assholes, but generally smart enough to leave before such a group falls apart. he survives, but he isn't exactly living, to be cliche about it.
