I hope it’s okay and not weird to suddenly drop in to say this (and if so, feel free to ignore haha), but I just had the idea and needed to get it out of my system ^^ I think Kai could get along really well with Miho and Naoya!!! Not that he wouldn’t get along with your other OCs, he does love making friends, but those were the ones I noticed had more interests and motivations in common with him!

I think Miho and Kai could bond over music, and since Miho is cautious while Kai is loud and impulsive, maybe they could balance each other out? Though Kai is pretty overwhelming and would probably make Miho nervous… but he’d very very supportive of her performances, at least! Plus, he’d be very understanding of her panicking over small things, because he tends to do that sometimes too, haha. Maybe he could help her with her overthinking?

As for Naoya, Kai is someone who’s willing to try a bit of everything at least once, so I could imagine them just hopping around looking for something to do and getting into all sorts of shenanigans together! Just guys being dudes. They’re both eager to make friends, they’re both cheerful and unsure about their future, and it sounds like they have a similar attitude about mistakes having value because they help shape who you are, so I think they could hit it off pretty well!! I’d just be worried that, since they both have jealous streaks, there’s a chance they might enable each other and make each other worse, haha. But they could also help each other work through it! And maybe give each other reassurances when their abandonment issues rear their ugly heads… :’)

Of course, Miho is your girl and Naoya is your boy, so I can’t speak for them, haha. What do you think? I just think it’d be very cute to see them interact :3

Please don't apologize for this, this is the first anyone has ever mentioned their ocs interacting with mine so you have no idea how happy this made me to read.

I could definitely see them being friends! I mean, Miho works as an idol so she is well accustomed to loud and impulsive personalities so I doubt he'd overwhelm her. But I can definitely see them working as a double team with him being her motivator and her being his impulse control. Plus I just had the thought of Kai really loudly cheering for her during one of her performances and almost being escorted out for being too loud. Meanwhile Miho's trying her best not to burst out laughing while singing. Although Kai would need to be careful not to mention Miho's favourite idol, otherwise he'd be stuck there for a week listening to Miho gush about how amazing she is.

Oh, and Kai and Naoya is a perfect friendship, I love it. As long as Kai doesn't make any moves on Shohei, they're great, just don't go stealing Naoya's bestie (Bestie, definitely bestie, nothing else, he swears, nope just the bestest of pals, no repressed feelings there whatsoever, not at all) But I could definitely see them trying out new things together, fucking up gloriously and then laughing about it and getting milkshakes afterwards. Plus Kai seems like the type who would join Naoya in his quest to spite Shohei's shitty parents. Although, I feel like they might have problems with Naoya's need to try and help everyone with their problems because after a while, he'd probably be like "Y'know maybe you should talk to your dad and try to fix your issues" and Kai's just...

Although someone else I could see Kai getting along with Hoshi, mostly just 'cause of his kooky sense of humour and inability to properly interact with people without accidentally creeping them out. I feel like Kai would vibe with that weird energy and would try to help Hoshi find a natural way to smile that doesn't make him look like a Halloween monster.

Sorry for rambling so much, I just haven't had this before and it made me really excited...

I really don't know what it is about him but everyone really seems to love Naoya. Like I show off all my ocs and everyone has collectively pointed at Naoya and said "That one. I like that one. He's babey."

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy everyone likes him but he just seems like such a random pick. Ngl I thought it was gonna be like Takuya or Hoshi, maybe even Sora or Kenji that people would gravitate towards. But nope, no split opinions here.

Just wanted to say that I really like your OC Naoya's design!!! Is he part of a story or AU you have or is he just a character you created for fun? Any fun facts you'd like to share about him :]

Tbh, all of the ocs I've shown on here are Persona ocs. I have ocs for other stuff and some even just random characters I thought up but I haven't been able to properly look at the stuff I made for those ones since my old tablet broke like three years ago.

There's three groups of my Persona ocs though, the first one with Tobei (Green haired boy), the second with Nozomi (Red haired girl), and the third with Shohei (Black haired boy). To put their plots simply:

Tobei's story takes place in a seaside town where he is moving in with his uncle and aunt to receive treatment for his illness when people begin acting strangely and many people in power abuse their positions over everyone else.

Nozomi's story takes place in a rural town near Kyoto while she is taking a hiatus from her career as an idol and living with her dad when people are disappearing without any warning.

And Shohei's story takes place at a large, prestigious boarding school where his success and reputation chasing parents shipped him off to when phenomena known as the wonders of the school become aggressive, morphing areas of the school at midnight and targeting students with many negative emotions.

I'm still working on fleshing out the characters' personalities and other random details about them but Naoya is very adventurous and likes trying all sorts of new things just to say that give it a go and to see if he likes it. These experiments don't always go well though, for example, Naoya is actually missing a toe on one foot after an accident while trying out metalworking. He doesn't really mind though, when asked about it all he says is "Oops."

Well, seeing as he's everyone's favourite boy, I might as well do Naoya, so:

1 - What was their first impression of each other?

Shohei's first thoughts on Naoya - "Why won't this guy leave me alone? I know I'm new here but no one's ever been this insistent to be my friend."

Naoya's first thoughts on Shohei - "This dude looks kinda sad and lonely, I wanna make sure he feels welcome! Besides everyone could use a best friend!"

Think of them like a cautious cat and an overly friendly dog.

5 - What are their love languages? Are they compatible with each other?

Naoya's for sure is compliments and remembering small details. Like, he'd be like "Hey, I remember you said your pens were running low on ink so I got you some more while I was at the shop." But yeah, mostly, he will shower Shohei in compliments which usually make the poor boy short circuit because he is not used to that.

Shohei on the other hand, is very awkward and doesn't really know how to handle relationships, in any form, at all. So, I think his way of showing affection would just be offering to do things for you. Like if you're tired, offering to make dinner, or offering to help you with homework, to fetch your bag, etc.

I feel like at the beginning, their ways of showing affection wouldn't be compatible at all but once they become more accustomed to each other and once Shohei starts growing out of the mindset his parents raised him into and starts becoming his own person, they'd compliment each other perfectly.

8 - How much jewelry do they wear, and do they have a favourite or distinguishing piece?

Miho likes jewelry but she doesn't wear too much of it at once because she thinks it can be a bit much. She mostly just sticks to chokers and rings and, since she doesn't have her ears pierced, those earring that you clip onto the side of your ear. Her favourite piece is a midnight blue choker with glow in the dark star patterns all over it.

12 - How do they show affection to someone they love?

It depends on who it is. If it's his friends and family, he cheers them on in everything they do and showers them in compliments plus, if he knows it will make them happy, he will give them presents. If it's a certain someone that he definitely doesn't has a crush on, he swears, that's ridiculous why would have a crush that doesn't make any sense shut up: Fumbling over his words and accidentally coming across as pretty clingy. Luckily or unluckily depending on how you look at it for him, his definitely-not-a-crush is dense as hell when it comes to emotions so it goes completely over their head.

16 - How has their childhood affected the way they view an aspect of their life (people, education, society, themselves, etc.)?

Well, Sora was disowned when they were 15 so thanks to that, they have an intense distrust towards adults and authority figures. Especially since their parents had always thought they were odd thanks to their personality but once they came out as genderfluid, that was it. Their teachers never helped either as they found Sora's personality difficult to deal with and often labelled them as a problem child. The only teacher that treated them with respect was their computer science teacher who Sora is still in touch with. And while they act like a chaotic gremlin, Sora is a lot more mature than most people are at their age, since they had to move into their school dorms and save up for a place they could move into once they finished school. That's why, despite appearances, Sora is the most reliable of their group and will always rush to help their younger teammates when they need it.

10 - What is a weird quality they have?

It's not so much a quality, but Miu has a surprising talent for ruining her shoes just by wearing them. She doesn't do any intense sports or anything, she just casually wears her shoes as she travels around her everyday life and manages to scuff them to the point that the sole is clinging on for dear life. No one can figure out how she does it and her parents are sick to death of constantly having to buy new shoes.

🤔 - What is something they'll never understand?

Shohei is very, very smart and tends to get top marks in almost all subjects, however one thing he has never been able to really get a hang of is solving circumference problems in maths. Everything else is fine, the moment the circle gets involved, he just can't make any sense of it and he finds it really irritating because area and perimeter are easy! Why should this be any different?!

Needless to say, whenever he sees a question about circumference on his maths exams, a sense of dread washes over him.

🌙 - What is their sleep schedule like?

Most of the time, his sleep schedule is very healthy: going to bed at 11:00PM and waking up at 6:30AM, since he's had that hammered into him since he was a child. However, when he has a lot of stuff on his mind, he tends to stay up late and watch the moon and stars to distract him from all the stress he's going through.

❣️ - What are their love languages?

Honestly, it's mostly just compliments. He doesn't really get much praise from his parents. If he does something poorly, he gets a lecture; if he does something well, he's performing as expected and should keep doing that. So when he meets Naoya who just claims him as his best friend and starts constantly complimenting him, inviting him to join him in outings and slinging his arm around him... Shohei just short circuits. He can't cope.

His laid-back nature and how he sees everything as a valuable experience.

🌴 - Who's this oc's favourite person (can be another oc, a fictional character, a celebrity, etc.)?

Shohei. He doesn't really know why or how to explain it. They just get on like a house on fire and Naoya really enjoys his company.

I can't speak for everyone but Naoya's design is what really draws me to him! I can't quite put my finger on it but there's just something really nice about it, he has very good vibes

A few people have said that but that just baffles me even more! Because when you compare him to the others, Naoya's design is one of the more grounded and realistic ones, the only outlandish thing is his purple eyes.

I'm not trying to say it's a bad thing or call anyone weird for liking him because if Shohei is the protagonist then Naoya was meant to fill the best friend role, I just find it funny that I show off all these characters and everyone collectively has gone
