the way this took me MONTHS to finish!!!! this is the most difficult piece i've done in a while but it was Good for me to do to actually feel excited about art again. this man lives in my head rent free and demands worship every day who am i to deny him

1) Does your OC have a voice claim, if so who?

she has tav 4's voice canonically! i cant really think of any others that match the Vibe i have for her. slightly posh, well spoken, a darling to listen to. i guess vex'halia from critrole also has a similar vibe to rue's voice.

11) What was your inspiration for your OC?

honestly? i had ZERO inspiration for rue when making her. i wanted to keep her as blank as i could because i knew that the dark urge origin was different backstory-wise compared to a tav so i didnt want to come up with traits & a backstory to then have it be contradicted.

she came to life when i started writing about her mostly. and when i discovered the prayer for forgiveness my mind latched onto that and the potential relationship between her and gortash

i'm kind of bad at having pre-determined inspirations for video game ocs. my first (and only) tav cassiopeia didnt have a solid backstory until act 3 and then... ive left her there. girl i am so sorry

all i know is that i wanted religious trauma, for her to have bloody hands and to kiss gortash (maybe)

28) What clique would they be in? (Draw them in the clothes of said group!)

my mind is TORN. part of me wants her to be like, hot and popular but i know she would be the weird outsider who has odd interests and is off putting (she's just like me fr)

- Aconite is related to nobody in the SweetDemise family, he’s simply an orphaned child, who considers Funeral(A sweetdemise child ) his sibling and all.

- He no longer has his golden scars or anything like that on his face. Instead he has some flowers stuck to his head, and a floating cat ear !

- Hands are covered in golden tinted scars.

- matching shoes with his fav adopted bro <3 ( moon-sun )

Monster slayer, ace combatant, inspiring leader! This underwater bounty hunter (initially inspired by the likes of Giovanni Potage and Sho Minamimoto) is a sea slug man who wishes to lead his crew to glory and gold untold. Though famed for his exploits, he's got a black mark on his record: a quest to kill a leviathan-like creature that ended with seemingly just him as the survivor. Deeply haunting him, Kaleido found his passion diminish into defeat. But it's not the end! Through an accidentally amassed new crew, this aspiring blorbo is slowly finding his way back to his determined self while helping them in turn.

Vote for the OC who represents all things found family healing from horrible, lingering pasts and the vaguely inhuman with a predilection for the dangerous and exciting!

Kaleido seems to be positively brimming with excitement and fascination, unable to cease fidgeting.

"O-oh wow! I knew I was not the only ender-human hybrid out there, but I never really believed I'd come into contact with another!" she says, beaming a wide-eyed smile. "My name is-...Kaleido! It's wo-wonderful to meet you!"

answering these super edgy oc questions

7 - What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

rue's appearance has changed!! she originally had blue streaks in her hair & blue eyes. i changed them to red eyes and then decided to match her hair. the intentions were that her hair would change colour when she goes away from the path of evil but i love her red hair too much

also bumped up the maturity slider a little bit too

16 - What is your OC's pain tolerance like?

pretty high!! i like to think rue has gone through enough pain in her life it's not as bad as it should be. she walks into camp with a gash on her stomach and is like "i'm fine? stop fussing over me and heal someone else"

during her time as bhaal's chosen there was a lot of self-inflicted pain as well as pain directly from bhaal. she's learned to associate it with attention & tries to take it as a blessing rather than... ykno... pain.

23 - What emotion is the hardest for your OC to process? How about express?

love and love.

rue, pre-tadpole, became physically sick at the idea that she, a being made for murder, could love anyone other than her father.

during the events of the game when gale threatens to detonate the orb when they first meet the absolute, she tells him she loves him. she spends the next few days stressed and sick at the thought of it, trying to convince herself she said it to keep him safe. to manipulate him into staying alive.

they have a conversation about it afterwards and rue breaks down because the sickening feeling in her stomach when she thinks about him is love and that scares her.

it takes her a good while to say it again to him and she ends up trying to find other ways to express that she loves him without saying it to him. (tapping her tail against his leg or bumping her head against his. little things. shes like a cat)
