✦ What is your name, and how do you feel about it?

✧ “Saudade! I’ve never thought of it very deeply. The dad said my mother named me; I-I’d have to ask her.”

Saudade means “longing” or “nostalgia,” Portuguese or Brazilian in origin. Upon her father and mother’s split at Saudade’s birth, Amzuurar gave her this name to symbolize her timeless love for Cooper. Saudade nor Cooper were/are aware of this deeper connotation. ⊹ ‧ ₊˚

✦ Where did you get your scars from?

✧ “Are they that noticeable? I got them back in Wifeld, I wish they’d heal over already.”

Saudade, upon her father’s death, was neglected and almost forgotten by the human who had once taken care of her. Her rope constraints squeezed into her skin and caused great, constant pain. It was only after she gnawed through the rope herself that she was free. She feels great shame at being trapped and dormant for so long, yet guilty of having done what she did to deserve that. Either way she looks, she is angry at herself. ⊹ ‧ ₊˚

✦ Where were you born, and where do you live now?

✧ “The outskirts of a human settlement- it was a nice little town. I hope it's still kicking out there… Oh, and I wander from place to place. I don’t go too far from it though. It's nice to check up on it every once in a while.”
