Here is a brief introduction to my Grey Wardens. 

Name: Ciembe Mahariel

Worldstate: Worldstate 1 (and Multi-warden AU)

Age: 19 at start of DAO (born 9:11 Dragon)

Species/Race: dalish elf

Class/Specialization: Rogue/Assassin/Duelist/Shadow

Height: 5’3

Gender/sexuality: woman/bi

Romance: Zevran Arainai

Characteristics/personality: sarcastic, dark humor, strong-willed, flirtatious, bold in words, cautious in actions, protective, questioning, says what she means, anger rises quickly

Hair: straight, long black hair that is kept back from her face, often in a braid

Eyes: golden eyes

Distinguishing features: Ghilan’nain vallaslin, various small scars

Hobbies: talking to people, exploring, hunting, keeping her friends out of trouble, playing card games, leatherworking

Brief Background: Raised in clan Sabrae alongside Tamlen and later Merrill. Ashalle was like a mother to her. Before the mirror incident, she never imagined leaving the clan. After joining the wardens, she can’t imagine going back.

Family: Ashalle; her clan; the wardens; her kids are Carmen, Wren, and Mateo.  

Random Notes: Mabari is named Bear; primary love language is physical touch; planned to be bonded to Tamlen; cheats openly at cards when she is among friends, is never seen cheating when among strangers

Brief Background: A bit wild as a child, her mother and father guided her to use her energy for practical things: like sailing, archery, people politics. She was extremely close to her family, wanting to visit Antiva with her sister-in-law. Duncan had to pull her away from her parents, her deep sense of duty tearing her between obeying and protecting her family. It took her years to regain the same vibrancy she had before she lost her family, at that was due mostly to Alistair, their children, and her friends.

Family: Parents Bryce and Eleanor Cousland, Brother Fergus, sister-in-law Oriana and nephew Oren. Children twins Duncan Bryce and Rose Eleanor Theirin.

Random Notes: loves the sea and sailing; mabari named Galahad; a Ferelden lady – lead from the frontlines and work with your hands; when she is nervous or stressed, she pets her mabari, one of her few tells

Hair: Long dark brown hair that she braids intricately and bangs (she lets them grow out over the course of the Blight)

Distinguishing features: Freckles across her face and body, no scars whatsoever

Hobbies: research, magic, playing the lute, gathering potion ingredients, sketching

Brief Background: Taken from her family to the Circle when she was 4, she has the barest memories of them. Anders, Karl, and a few others took her under their wings. She was a quiet, obedient child, but she was always watching and learning.

Family: Parents, Myles and Britta Surana, siblings, Sybil, Telia, and Josiya. Cathal Tabris is her cousin on her mother’s side. She considers her companions and friends her family. Her daughters are Delphine and Beata, which she and Leliana adopt after Leliana is declared Divine Victoria.

Random Notes: Her mabari is named Sir Barkington; by the time Inquisition comes around, she wears reading glasses; primary love language is words of affirmation; gets so engrossed in research hours can pass; a bit clumsy

Hair: white blond hair that reaches his shoulders

Distinguishing features: left handed, various scars

Hobbies: pick-pocketing, training, map-making, crafting poisons, later traveling, sewing/quilting

Brief Background: Raised in Denerim’s alienage, Cathal has never been outside the city before. His mother taught him the basics of how to use a sword, and after her death, he continued to train in secret, observing templar’s and knights training when he could. Took every opportunity to steal or trouble nobles/guards without getting caught.

Family: Father Cyrion and his mother, Adaia (though his mother was killed many years ago by humans). He is close with his cousins, Shianni and Soris. He has some memory of his aunt’s family and he remembers that he had a lot of cousins (which he later learns was Damita’s family). Kieran is his son.

Random Notes: Has both a dislike of extremely enclosed spaces and wide-open areas; mabari is named Traitor. Loves warm bread and crisp apples. Gets a tattoo of a bear print over his heart (for Morrigan), later adds a small white print over it for Kieran.

Brief Background: Born in Dusttown, Signa has faced an uphill battle her whole life, struggling to fight for a living. She early on learned the value of stealing, which attracted the Carta’s attention.

Family: Rica Brosca is the only family she cares about. Well and later her nephew.

Random Notes: Mabari is named Barkspawn (she takes Alistair’s suggestion); has an incredible sense of direction; Alistair teaches her to read; When Zev confronted her about her feelings for either him or Alistair, she pulled Zev over to Alistair and forced the three of them to work it out.

Brief Background: Freya was only 7 when she told her father that even though she was born the identical twin to her brother, Liam, she was actually a girl. Her father accepted this immediately, sending out notices that Freya would take her grandmother’s name. She tackled politics with wicked pleasure, loving the secrets and machinations. In the AU, Freya and Liam meet up with Signa in the deep roads and travel together to survive, until they meet the Wardens and then win back the throne. Freya and Signa marry and are queens of Orzammar.

hi will you share some Facts about some of your dragon age OCs 👁

oh god i have very many dragon age ocs so i popped some information about all of them under the cut THANK U SM

- brynjar aeducan has a daughter instead of a son with mardy but still works with bhelen to get them both raised into nobility + happily co-parents with her. he names his daughter after runa brosca, who was the person to convince him to put his revenge seeking against bhelen aside in order to better orzammar.

- guinevere cousland has an adoptive older sister, who was the child of her uncle and an elven sailor aboard eleanor’s ship ‘the mistral’ back when she was the seawolf. rosalind mac eanraig has been guinevere’s lady in waiting, and later when she’s crowned queen, acts as her confidant and is believed by many who know of her to be the true ruler, acting through a less experienced alistair and guinevere.

- danytriel surana and theodore amell are thicker than thieves, with theodore helping raise a young danytriel in the circle. when he went through the eluvian with morrigan, she came with, her lover jowan in tow. morrigan only minded a little. danytriel and kieran are very close. 

- neva tabris has and always will carry memories of hallonin mahariel and his ultimate sacrifice. there’s a small sapling planted in the alienage in his honor, and she visits it frequently. 

- the twin champions freya and jasper hawke have matching nose scars, jasper gaining his after being attacked by bullies when he was young, and freya cutting herself to match in an attempt to comfort him. while the scars have mostly faded, they still will do the iconic blood swipe to mimic it, a sign of their eternal bond.

- nessa lavellan lost her fiance in the conclave blast. she doesn’t feel comfortable talking about him, and the only one who knows of her heartache is cole. 

- vera trevelyan wasn’t the same after the conclave blast.. because she wasn’t. possessed, then merged with by a hungry desire demon, it was vera, not justinia, who pulled the others from the rubble, picking survivors to feed off their hopes and desires. it later ends up developing genuine human emotions, and doesn’t know how to react.

then there’s a few i haven’t fully developed yet (kas adaar, nascha cadash, and finnegan who were all other attendants of the conclave but i dont know what im doing with them yet lol)

Romantic Interest: Leliana Kids: None Best Friend: Shale Biggest Rival Companion: Sten Go-to party members: Leliana, Shale, Wynne

After Awakening: Leliana was called away to the Devine's side and Freya decided to join Shale on her adventures in Tevinter for a while. She had gotten quite used to traveling around, as it felt like of a home than Dust Town ever had, so traveling is what she continued to do. Maybe, if she found a cure for the calling, she could finally put down roots with her Devine.

5 random tidbits: -Leliana did actually reach Freya when Cassandra was initially looking for someone to lead the inquisition. Her response was "You know I love you, babe. but I'm not getting involved in that shit." -Freya and Alistair were the biggest dude-bro buds that the wardens had ever seen, but after the defeat of the archdemon the two never spoke again. Was it so bad that she'd spared Logain long enough for him to take down the dragon? She often wondered if she'd made a mistake, if she should have killed Logain at the landsmeet and been the one to make the final blow against the blight. -Returned home to see her sister and nephew many times, and was happy to see Bhelen's movement against the caste system growing stronger with each visit. When she was granted the title of Paragon by the assembly, she accepted with a speech that inspired many casteless dwarves and angered many nobles. -Has interesting relationships with both of the older male companions. Punched Sten in the face multiple times, doesn't know why he still sticks around. Can drink Oghren under a table but usually wakes up in some random bush every time she tries. -Sees Wynne as the mother figure she always wished she had, and was thrilled to find her along for the ride when she joined Shale in Tevinter.

Hello! 8, 9 and 17 for the da ask thing, please!

!!!! ♥️ !!!! Gonna answer each for a different world state?

8. What would your inquisitor and warden think of what happened in Kirkwall? Would they have supported Hawke’s decisions? 

WS1: Nolanni (Lavellan) is 100% on Kai Hawke’s side when it comes down to how he saved the mages. While she isn’t a fan of Anders’ actions resulting in the death of innocents, she approves of how Kai handled his decision and (as an elf) understands that change does not always come peacefully. Magdalena (Cousland) would also support Kai’s decision to stop the slaughter of mages, she would not support his forgiveness of Anders though. While she had once been friends with the mage herself, she does not believe the murder of Elthina should go unpunished. 

9. Would your warden or Hawke have actually accepted the role of inquisitor if Cassandra had located them as she’d planned to? Would they have been a good leader for the Inquisition? 

WS3: Seeing as she’s in a relationship with Leliana, Freya (Brosca) actually DID hear that Cassandra was looking for her. She sent a letter back to her lover that basically said “You know I love you, babe. but I’m not getting involved in that shit.” Merrick (Hawke) would reluctantly agree to take on the role of Inquisitor, but would not have been the leader they needed. Merrick is a purple Hawke drowning in sadness that is not a fan of the chantry. They most likely would have caused more trouble than they solved. 

17. If Origins and Inquisition had the 3 personalities (Diplomatic, Sarcastic, Aggressive) which would your warden and inquisitor have predominately been? And what one did your Hawke have?

WS5: Sooo Eloris (Mahariel) is complicated...I’d have to say a combination of diplomatic and aggressive because she’s more diplomatic in situations where she feels comfortable but the second she gets scared she jumps into fight mode. Shyloh Hawke is diplomatic, and Marsilia (Valisti, my Antivan Crow Inquisitor) is definitely aggressive but in the smooth and manipulative way.

Orzammar treated her family like trash, marked at birth, through no fault of her own, to be seen as the dirt other dwarves walked on every day. Her rise through the ranks of the Grey Wardens, however, attracted attention even amongst the nobles. In slaying the archdemon, she inspired a movement. Talk questioning the caste system began to spread, gaining momentum as she was granted her new title.
