If I had a nickel for every time I played a video game where one of the datable love interests was a kind creepy, white-haried, enby with bird associations, and a fondness for self isolation, I would have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it happened twice.

The Loki fandom literally sees the Loki who died at the hands of his abuser as a fucking lost cause, as too traumatized to live because he never found his was…as weak.
I feel like this is a big part of it
Peolpe don't like trauma survivors, because it reminds them that it can happen to them
-> that's why they are always looking to blame the victim, because that means they can be in controll, they can make sure they will never be abused because they don't deserve it ...
The trick, though, is that every (victim) stops being “good” once they decide to resist abuse, and so no victim could ever be good enough to avoid scrutiny.
That's also why they want trauma suvivors to be gratefull that they got traumatized
-> made them stronger ...
Because like that there is a point to it all and it isn't just random shit that happens randomly and is out of your controll
Also, removing the victim from an abusive situation and locking them up is easier then resolving it
Because obviuosly the victim is the problem
-> they are the once to speak up after all, if they had stayed quiet all would have been fine
so hiding the evidence (victim) solves the problem
And finally
Loki had to be gone beyond redemption, because if not ... if he wasn't 200% undiluted evil/to damaged to safe
Then the way he was treated was wrong and cruel and the fact that no one tried to help him is unforgivable
So just killing him off ties a nice ribbon around this wreck and they can stop bothering and start over
or as @everything-you-feel-is-real put it:
When you take that mentality and then try to introduce the concept of a redemption arc, very often the redemption will come in various sublimated forms of the same beating we cheered for when Bad Guy made us scared and needed to be stopped. Redemption comes in the form of suffering and being painted as bad and scary way beyond what's morally or logically defensible. Because that's the need the creators keep defaulting to even when the narrative has moved way past it. Because this character is Wrong Kid and Wrong Kid's role in society is to be scary and hated and get beat up. The perspective never shifts to his own.
Is it me or do people in this fandom sound…relieved that the “better, nicer, and more healed” Loki replaced the one we originally followed, especially post finale. When this fandom remembers that series!Loki is a variant- they talk about OG Loki like he was a “lost cause” or that he’d “never be actualized and healed like Loki post finale”, this fandom is so, so, soooo happy and relieved to get rid of OG Loki to replace him with their “good boy”…..and it depresses me.
The Loki fandom literally sees the Loki who died at the hands of his abuser as a fucking lost cause, as too traumatized to live because he never found his was…as weak. And it really makes me remember why I always avoid it.
Istg, It’s lonely preferring OG Loki over the “self actualized Loki who finally found his place in the world and became the biggest hero ever!” Loki…
Loki was always nice, he was at the very least always polite. Remember how he talked to the people under the mindstone control? He talk to them in a calm, pretty much friendly manner.
Yeah, Loki was confrontational to Thor, his brothers, the person he was in direct conflict with. People need to understand Loki was never mean or a jerk like that. He was mad at his family because their lies and hypocrisy and refusal to listen to him. But Loki has never been mean to just the regular people around him.
Thor 2011 showed how much Loki was protecting the W4 throughout the battle and they don't even like. Even in the series when their on the planet Loki instinctively shielding Sylvie from harm, because that just who he is.
I have no idea where this "healed" thing comes from. Loki has no chance to heal, or even get confront everything he truly lost. That's all been shoved aside for Sylvie and loom bull****.
I'm sure someone just said "healed" in an interview so now fans repeat in ad nauseam

What kind of dog do you think each of the bad batchers/clones would be? Like if Hunter was a dog I think he'd be a German shepherd/ Malinois
Love dogs! Cute and fun idea, thanks!
I mixed my own experiences plus some info from the internet with each breed I chose. Remember that it is the behavior of the particular breed, if it has been raised in a manner appropriate to the species and corresponds to the average value of the breed. Not every dog is born with the exact same characteristics, the breed is basically just a blueprint, a basic plan on which the gene pool and upbringing "build" the dog.
The Bad Batch - Dog Breed
Hunter
Okay now here me out. I think he's a mix honestly. German Shepherd is in there. They are great guard dogs, fierce hunters if needed with a strong character, protective instincts and actually pretty clever. But! There is another breed in there.
Staffordshire Bull Terrier. Let me tell you why.
Apart from his bad reputation which he had received through wrong keeping by humans, the "Staffy" has actually a completely different nature. Because of his patient nature, he tolerates children romping and playing all around him. He is also known as a friendly "Nanny Dog" or Babysitter Dog", which he certainly always wanted to be. With proper and loving training, he is a very friendly family dog.
In my mind, Hunter has all those traits as a dog. He'd be a mix of German Shepherd and Staffordshire Bull Terrier, their best characteristics mixed in one (the latter is also known these days as "Amstaff").
Echo
Intelligent, reliable, patient and hardworking. Echo is a Bearded Collie. This one has an impressive herding and protective instinct.
This is especially evident towards free-roaming animals and children. He is sensitive and dutiful. Under his supervision you can be sure that he will take care that his 'herd' is safe. He is calm and cool headed in tense situations.
You can always rely on him. Loyal and dutiful to the end.
Wrecker
Here is definitely a Staffordshire Bull Terrier in the mix. Obviuosly because of his patient nature towards children but also due to his fearlessness.
An "Amstaff" may be fearless and brave on the one hand, but his basic characteristics are loyalty and good-naturedness towards his human. Once he has found his people, he is quite affectionate and cuddly.
I do think there could be a Dalmation in the mix too, because of his energetic playfulness.
Tech
King Poodle
He not only learns incredibly quickly and understands almost immediately what his two-legged friends want from him. He is also a patient and cuddly family dog, who is very relaxed towards children.
Despite its all-rounder nature, the Poodle is not a dog that should be left to its own devices. In order for it to develop its potential, it is happy to receive consistent training and occupations. He really likes to get brain teasers.
Not only the inner values of the Poodle can score points, low-hair dog breed group, coat care is uncomplicated (Tech's pretty hairless I think). In addition, the poodle is also a popular dog for allergy sufferers.
Crosshair
The ever more complicated batcher...
Czechoslovakian Wolfhound
A Czechoslovakian Wolfhound has special requirements and is suitable only for professionals who are willing and able to fully adapt to its needs.
The Wolfhound is closer to the origin of all dogs than other dog breeds. With its wolf-like appearance and behavior, it absolutely belongs in experienced hands.
Especially his enormous reaction speed, his extreme performance and his good sense of scent and orientation predestine him for the work as a service dog for military and police.
A healthy distrust and a certain reservedness are the basis of his nature if not trained otherwise.
The Czechoslovakian Wolfhound is a fearless companion that proves to be very docile and obedient in training. His loyal devotion to his master turns out to be very helpful (a little side blow here- or bad if he's blindly obidient).
His above-average intelligence makes him a grateful and good student even in demanding exercises. Provided that he regards these as meaningful. Because the intelligent dog is quite capable of critically questioning the tasks given to him.

@rubbcrhose - I mean maybe? but if Paimon did have a lot of children if that's the speculation we're going off on, then I'd imagine having to draw ALL THOSE CHILDREN would be rather tiresome especially there's already so many characters so it could be just implied versus that but then again, could also be what you said.
Oh yeah I totally agree in more i dont expect the mto animate that many people, I’m more thinking of the idea that in Stolas’s house at the very least we don’t see any reference to them. Like paintings are just of Stolas, Octavia, and Stella. Even when he’s a kid the paintings are never of his family, just him or like---space, the whole ‘stars’ motif that he was born to inherit is shown in his house, or just literal empty picture frames
Like, even Paimon only shows up in 1 picture in all the frames photos I can find on a short hand? Though do correct m if I’m wrong
I just find it odd even in background photos and stuff there isn’t a single showing of anyone but Stolas’s Father, not to mention who his mother might be since it’s obvious that Stella was to be his wife until Octavia turned 18ish? Or however old, despite the fact that Stolas seems to have been living on his own since he was 7. So obviuosly there is a “different time/place” when it comes to kids “becoming of age” for royalty
it still seems odd we see no hint or mention or passing comment about any of Stolas’s family of which I feel Stolas might like--- be in touch with? Or like, if he was allowed to be in touch with them he might because they all (seemingly) were put under the same pressures
#Out for a Bite // OOC#Screams from the Abyss // MT#;; but thats just my thoughts fhewjk#;; keep the kids away so they dont grow attached in case they die#;; or something maybe idk

The Flash 8x01
I really tried to like this one, and I did (even though mainly because of Ray and the fact that we had characters interacting on a personal level with each other again) for the most part, but:
* Yep, we are back at the No-Westallen-Kissing Onscreen Stage it seems (why then keep the show going? Everyone else on literal every other show is allowed to kiss)
* They did just stealing the entire Allegra-Plot straight from “Supergirl and are not even blushing about it
* Where the heck is Joe and what was that line to Cecile about someone being dead to someone all about? I mean, obviuosly Joe can’t be dead, because Iris and Barry would act differently, but if she and Joe are broken up why would she still be on good terms with everyone else and if this was about someone or something else, they only managed to confuse me with it, so ???
* Continuity is still a mess, because appearantly Hunter and Julian never existed on Earth Prime.
* And finally: Really, that is your Main Plot? Really? How often can one remake the same storyline (changing something specific in the future) and this time we are just supposed to believe the Bad Guy about it? I hope there is another twist about this coming up...
* Also is no one in this fandom on tumblr anymore who caps scenes? Or is just no one using tags anymore? I really thought this one would have more not less coverage than a usal episode given that it’s a Crossover, but maybe everyone slept through it? ( I am here even though I just cried for the most part of the last 24 hours after a relative died, but I guess this means I am more dedicated to the show then the normal tumblr User....)
