Why I think Miko Nakadai is arguably the best human character in TFP
Tumblr media
Don't misunderstand, I know Miko was handled haphazardly throughout the series' run. That said, aside from her skipping off into the battlefield, she was actually a great character - and, in my personal opinion, the actual audience surrogate character in TFP.
Now, let me explain.
Although Miko's backstory is told and not shown - a rich daughter who had everything she could ever want, up to and including two pure-breed cats and piano lessons from age three onwards (which, coincidentally, tells us she's brainy despite her antics) - much can be inferred from what snippets of her past we get, along with her interactions with the Autobots. For one, she obviously can't stand most adult supervision, which is likely because of a few things. For one, back home in Japan, Miko would have had to be proper and polite, always restrained, and had to do what she was told. While this is normal (to an extent) in the West, in the East this is etiquette that needs to be obeyed, especially if you're as well off as she is; her actions, specifically in Japan, will reflect on her parents, but to a far lesser extent in America. Thus, when presented with the freedoms of the USA, Miko not only jumps at the chance for an exchange program that will give her the mobility she craves, she also chooses the place that has the least amount of glamor. By extension of choosing to settle in Jasper, Miko's also displaying two other traits: she's not afraid of going to a place vastly different from her home, and she isn't disgusted by a small town with very little monetary value to it.
Secondly, Miko's disregard for authority from adults but deference to the 'Bots teases us with an insecurity - namely, an insecurity that no adult ever gives her a chance to make her own decisions.
Just think about it: All the times Miko's blown off the human adults, it's when they've tried to decide her life for her. Miko has, from what we can see, had her whole life dictated, up to and including those piano lessons. She may be a prodigy at almost everything, but her preferred instrument is the guitar - and yet, she wasn't given lessons in that from the time she was a toddler. Therefore, she feels confined and controlled by the authority of her elders. And so, while Miko may be able to sway Bulkhead into getting her out of detention and consistently slip past the watchful eyes of the 'Bots, it's out of a desperate motivation to control her own life. Now, she does hold too much interest in the battles and getting to watch them, but wouldn't you have that same eagerness if Gundams or Jaegers came to life before your eyes? Yes, she knows their lives are in danger, that they couldn't come home, but there's still a fantastical element to all of this about the Autobots. And it remains so because while she loves them all, Bulkhead is the only one who, while giving her life advice and trying to keep her in check/alive, lets her make her own decisions and take control of her life and her actions.
And that's why she keeps going to the field. That's why she only listens to the reprimands with half an ear and why she recovers so fast from Optimus' near death experiences, as well as Raf's close call with death.
And that's why Miko's world shatters when Bulkhead is left in a half-dead coma from his fight with Hardshell. Because the one person in the universe who gave her freedom and care without deciding her life for her was not just seriously injured, but possibly on death's door.
That's why Miko runs around without a care until the S2 episode "Hurt": because she wants autonomy to decide her life, even if it's stupid choices that could get her killed.
And after "Hurt", we see a new Miko. Yes, she remains gung-ho and fierce, but she stops running onto the battlefield. She takes less enjoyment from the War. Because now, with the reality of war fresh in her mind, she knows the risks and the stakes involved, and she will never take that or her friends for granted anymore. This is further proved when Miko 'sneaks' along for "Chain of Command", but with a twist: she asks Wheeljack if she can come along - and if memory serves, this is the first mission Bulkhead's been on with herself present since the events before "Hurt". Clearly, Miko is still worried about losing Bulkhead - only, this time, she values the words of the 'Bots, and now seeks permission to join a mission, though she wisely asks Wheeljack for this blessing.
This is the beautiful part of her arc, crowned by her battle with Starscream and his Seekers (which is also just straight up awesome.) When she's kicked the afts of everyone, and Starscream tries to intimidate her with his usual "I killed Cliffjumper" speech, Miko's response is this calm, slightly rough, retort:
"Big whoop. I snuffed Hardshell."
In this moment, Miko Nakadai is shown to have grown from an excitable child into an unyielding, but mature, adult warrior. She no longer treats the War and the 'Bots like a game, or a release. She treats them as her friends who she will gladly risk her own life for.
And that, in my opinion, makes her the best human protagonist in all of Transformers: Prime, and Transformers media in general.
As for what I said earlier about her being the true audience surrogate, be honest with yourselves: If any of us were given the chance to meet the Autobots, wouldn't you be just as irrepressible as Miko, as eager to help as she was, and tempted to go to the battlefield to see the action/make sure your 'Bot wasn't going to die? That's what I mean when I say she's the audience surrogate - Miko acts like we would, and learns as we would about the War and the 'Bots if we suddenly came across them.
Tumblr media
That's my two cents on Miko, and why she's the human character I respect the most in Transformers...probably of all time. If you liked it, I'm glad; Miko deserves better, and I hope I explained why well.
Til next time, folks!

RECREYO - CHAN: THEORIES / THOUGHTS
As of right now, "Recreyo Chan" has had three official appearances in videos, one possible season 2 design sketch, and two off-hand references.
Aaand, with promises from Curt that the SCP arc will have actual lore, and a VC that signified that Recreyo definitely knew about the fandom's thirst for lore... I think it's safe to say that RC may have more to do with it than what was initially planned from when she was first created. Especially when her recent appearances have been.. odd, and a specific event in the official Recreyo Discord had thrown us all for a loop.
This post is to showcase my thoughts and hopefully provide some clarity on who she actually is. (And if I'm sensible, then what she also could be.)
Warning: this may be a little long.
RC's debut was on Nov 16, 2021 for an Anime NYC announcement. You can find the video here.
Tumblr media
From this video alone, RC definitely appears more like a mascot than anything- a one-off character who would only be mentioned for two visual gags from then on, plus a drawing that Ivan did shortly after the second video.
It's important to note that one of these references were definitely coincidental, and I don't want that to be forgotten. However, I wanted to address it just in case. After all, an accidental reference could very well be spun into a lore tidbit.
( The picture below is from a video's ad I can't remember, so if you find it please lemme know )
Tumblr media
The video that that frame is from is old, that much I know. But recently, definitely after that video was up for months, Ivan dropped a possible season 2 design for RC. (3/23/23)
Tumblr media
And what do you know, on the 17th, only 6 days before that drawing was sent in the Discord, we saw RC again. Albiet, it was just by name, so we don't know if it was just another gag. It likely is, since the animator could've drawn it ages before we saw it uploaded, but...
Let's just keep it in mind.
( The picture below is from We Let an AI Write This Video )
Tumblr media
After these small bits, though, we got two actual appearances from RC. Ones that actually kept her design and so we know for a fact that they are the same character. INTENTIONALLY this time, I should add.
( Picture below is from Can You Survive Dr. Stone? )
Tumblr media
At 9:31, Curt says "Nah, I gotta progress the plot." and we see the screen glitch with this frame showing up. This is, without a doubt, RC. From the blue hair, the red tie, and even the spiral cheeks- this is the mark that she was becoming something more.
(Plot-relevant, if you will.)
Being deliberately consistent now, we can take this a little more seriously.
I wanna say that although I don't know the specific time, the video was uploaded at the latest: 2:48 PM. I know this since that was time of the earliest message about the video in the Discord.
You might think it's redundant, but I bring the time up because everyone who was in the Discord would know that something else had happened that day, and it's incredibly important that we're all aware of it.
Tumblr media
This person, who I'll call CA, had joined at 4:12. Two whole hours after the video was released, and so a lot of people had already watched it by then and had theorized about RC's surprising return.
Everyone's lore theories were public. And although framed as a hacker, CA was all obviously a plot by Recreyo to get us riled up for the lore. We know this, since Curt himself had showed up in the general chat prior to "play dumb" about everyone's collective breakdown.
Anyway, to summarize what had happened after CA showed up:
Everyone was pinging them, flirting, etc. Basically trolling, but also publicly theorizing that they were RC's account. By the way, "cĢ¶" also was in the video's description, almost matching CA's name.
CA had a role (shown above) that put them at the top of the member-list. They were also apparently unbannable according to the mods.
Curt got "hacked" and if memory serves right, his PFP changed to the glitching RC picture. He sent the message "cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›Ķ›cĢ¶Ģ“ĢˆaĢ¶Ķ›" into the announcements channel.
Den banned Curt after confirming that he was "hacked."
Curt rejoined and got his Recreyo role back. However... CA is still online as I type this.
Again, everything was obviously a stunt, and I don't need to argue about that. However, I want to take all of this seriously in the sense that it's lore-related, because if we keep on going "it's just a joke" then everything in Recreyo's lore wouldn't matter. So SHUT THE FUCK UP IF YOU'RE TYPING "IT WAS AN APRIL FOOL'S JOKE" (BECAUSE IT WASN'T EVEN APRIL FOOL'S FOR THEM!!!!)
Anyhow, I think it's obvious that CA is connected to RC. Whether they're the same person or not, the glitch theme mixed with the hacker idea is way too similar. And if you're not convinced that it's even a motif, then let's go into today's upload.
( Picture below is from Officially Announcing the New Recreyo Member )
Tumblr media
..Yeah, so this is happening. This is real.
An interesting detail is that RC was originally Den before glitching onto the frame. And if you continued watching, you'd notice that the screen pans over and Den shows up on the other side of the picture.
So... this is where we end with our sudden appearances, and we actually begin diving into what RC could be doing here, and what her place in the lore will be.
Let's run down the thoughts that I have:
A popular idea right now is that RC is an AI gone rogue. With the theme of glitching, it definitely fits.
As an explanation for her appearances, we can also assume that she hacks into the videos itself, and what we see on screen wasn't actually what was happening. So instead of her just appearing next to Christian like when they were recording, she instead corrupts the video as it "uploads." This is my current idea, since when questioned about the Dr. Stone video, Curt said:
Tumblr media
As for her place into the story, there's a few possible ways for her to be integrated with the current SCP arc. Maybe she's an SCP herself, maybe she's the mystery guide...
I personally believe that she's the one who caused the blackout in the sculpture scenario. In my own headcanon, I had stated that RC worked with the SCP foundation and was integrated with all of the technology. I might not fully believe that now, but I still agree with the latter half.
If she's a professional hacker due to her AI abilities, I don't think it's farfetched she'd be messing up the SCP foundation and trying to get Recreyo killed...
But why? What incentive would she have?
...Well, I've had an idea for a while. I've had RC in my own headcanon lore of Recreyo for quite a bit, and I even called the possibility of her being an AI. The malice I believe that she'd hold towards her creators involves the theme of freedom. Being a real person rather than a character. Vengeance.
I definitely doubt that The Bunker Trio would be brought back (as much as it pains me to say) but something I associate a lot with them is how much tragedy they went through.. solely because of Recreyo. Being original characters, all of their pain was directed by Curt and exploited for content, IN-UNIVERSE.
These themes I have with them are something that extends to RC. I believe that RC is intending to take over the Recreyo channel as payback for bringing her into a world just as a mascot. If she was given the blessing of intelligence, then why the hell was she only used as a mascot?
This is getting a little meta, but I want to emphasize how she was only a lifeless one-off character. I honestly believe she only has lore now because Recreyo realized how obsessed with it we are. So they dig up an old character who hasn't been touched in two years, and suddenly she's the star of the show?
RC is sick of being used as an "idol." She'll let her face haunt the videos for now, but she's going to take over one way or another.
....Or something like that. I can't tell if this even makes sense, but that's basically what I think about RC. I have other headcanons, like how I think she and Roberto work together as a duo, but those are far from what's actually happening.
But then again, I only have these stupid headcanons because I hadn't counted on her becoming a character again. I thought that she was honestly retired.
I might've originally dug a path far from the road of canon, but if it means Recreyo is finally exploring their potential of storytelling, then hell- you already know that I'll be running back.
(Also while I was typing this, CA changed their name to CAN. So.. yeah.)

Some thoughts about the origin trio and what they inherited from their parents
Okay so this whole thing started because I thought that it would never not be funny that (from a Watsonian perspective) Mitsuki and Masaru basically used what could have been their shipname to name Bakugou.
Like I kid you not, they basically just took the one kanji in Masaru (勝) and the last kanji of Mitsuki (光己) and what they got was Katsuki (勝 己). Bakugou is like the living embodiment of the whole "apple-pen" thing and I find it hilarious.
That of course made me think about how not only his name but also his quirk was the perfect match/combination of his parents'. Which in turns obviously reminded me of another very obvious important character of BNHA with obvious half and half attributes from his parents. And of course there's no way I'd think about two thirds of the origin trio without inevitably diverging to the last one.
And let me tell you I never expected that what started as crackish thoughts ended up being a semi-analysis about how the origin trio were basically representative of innate, engineered and, acquired genetics /talents.... but there you have it. *sigh*
I'm going to base my comparison on three characteristics that could be inherited/given by the parents : Name, appearance (like hair and eye color) and quirk.
Okay since I've already mentioned Bakugou above, let's start with him.
Bakugou Katsuki
Appearance: there's no debate to have here, in terms of physical appearance, he's 100% Mitsuki to the point where it's almost eerie... But this seems to be how genetic generally works in BNHA, we don't see a lot characters' parents, but for like 99% of them, the kid would tend to take after their mom. (The very obvious exception being of course the Todoroki fam, but I'll come back to it later)
Name: Well as I mentioned it before, Katsuki could be used as a Masaru/Mitsuki shipname so you can't get more 50/50 than that...
Quirk: Once again very obviously 50/50. But I'd say that even more than a 50/50, Bakugou's quirk is like winning the quirk lottery. His quirk is the result of how two basically useless quirks could mixed together in a super homogeneous way to get the best possible combination that could have come out with what was at their disposal. (And the most freaking hilarious thing about this is that Mitsuki and Masaru managed to do what Endeavor was desperately attempted to get - 50/50 quirk- on their first try without even having the intention to do !) Bakugou's quirk and by extension his genetic is the best possible results of his genetic pools, not by design but purely by chance, which makes Bakugou's quirk the very definition of innate talent.
Midoriya Izuku
Appearance : We don't really know anything about Hisashi's look... but if there's anything of him in Midoriya then it would probably be nothing more than the freckles which is pretty insignificant... so nearly 100% Inko.
Name: okay so while both Izuku and Inko starts coincidentally by the same syllable in romanji (I-zu-ku/ I-n-ko), it doesn't really work when you look at the Kanji: Izu(å‡ŗ) and In(引) have zero common point. So unless her maiden name used to be something with å‡ŗ in it, it would probably be stretching to count it as coming from Inko. Especially since the "Izu" part of Izuku's name already hold a significant part in the whole "Deku" thing. BUT, just because it doesn't come from Inko doesn't mean that Izuku's name came out of nowhere, because the ku(久) of Izuku can also be read as Hisashi... which is exactly how Midoriya's dad name is written. So Midoriya's name is 0% from his mom and 50% from his dad.
Quirk: Midoriya and Bakugou has been established as complementary mirrors from the very start. The two extremes/opposite of any given scale (ie. villain point vs rescue point). And it is especially true regarding their quirk. If Bakugou's quirk was the best outcome to possibly come out of his lukewarm genetic pool, then Midoriya's was the worst outcome to ever possibly come out from a pretty good genetic pool, which is to say none at all. (Though this is only true if Midoriya was truly born quirkless... but well...) ... So yeah that's a 0% and 0% quirk-wise for Midoriya. What I think is very, very fascinating though is that the contrasted parallel still work, even after Midoriya got his quirk from All Might. Because if you talk about innate talent, then the complementary notion is acquired talent. Which usually means something that you are not born with and that you learn sometimes during the course of your life.... But well in Midoriya's case his quirk was very literally acquired from someone else's DNA. He got 100% of his quirk from All Might. (And not to pull a Todoroki, but that totally makes All Might Midoriya's "quirk parent").
Todoroki Shouto
Appearance: If Bakugou's first name is the name equivalent of the apple-pen thing, then Todoroki's appearance would be trying to physically squish the apple and pen together and get a very awkward half-apple half-pen thing out of it. Todoroki is quite obviously 50% of Rei and 50% of Endeavor. One of the representation of the fact that Todoroki's DNA was purposely made to be this way is the fact that contrarily to the vast majority of BNHA characters, and more specifically Midoriya and Bakugou, Todoroki's appearance doesn't follow the rule of taking mostly from the mom. Another is the little tidbit about Todoroki's blood type. As you might have notice from the character pages, Todoroki's blood type is 0, while Endeavor is AB. Now I don't know how much you know about recessive and dominant alleles.... But if BNHA follows the same genetic law as our own, then it is genetically impossible for Todoroki to be an 0, he should have be either an A or B type. (The Doylist explanation about that is that Horikoshi-sensei probably didn't take that into account when he provided the information and more than certainly based their blood types on their personalities which is a whole thing in Japan, where people of certain blood types have certain personality traits. The Watsonian one is that either Endeavor isn't Todoroki's genetic father which is super unlikely, or that the presence of the Quirk mutation in the genetic pool changed or superseded the dominant/recessive aspect of other alleles.) And while it is probably just a coincidence, it still give this small nod that nothing about Todoroki's birth was left to chance or "natural means".
Name: Todoroki's first name Shouto (ē„¦å‡) is a little different from Bakugou and Midoriya in the sense that neither kanji come directly from Rei (冷) or Enji (ē‚Žåø). But then if you look at the meaning of two kanji in Shouto, you'll get ē„¦ - burn, impatient, char, singe, scorch 凍 - freeze, cold, refrigerate Todoroki doesn't have his parent's kanji because ultimately Todoroki wasn't meant to be Rei and Enji's son but rather the son of an ice-attribute quirk person and a fire-attribute quirk person. So it makes a lot of sense that his name comes from their attributes and not their own kanji. It adds another layer to that whole "engineered" feeling surrounding the Todoroki's family. Which makes him once again 50% Rei and 50% Enji in the name department.
Quirk: Like his appearance, it is very obvious that he got 50/50 from his parents... like it's in the freaking name of his quirk, so I'm not going to linger on it. But since this subpart is usually where I've been talking about genetics and stuff, I'll keep the same trend here. I've been using the word "engineered" a lot to refer to Todoroki's situation, and of course I don't mean that his genes/existence have been literally engineered and fabricated. No, I'm thinking more along the lines of low-key eugenics, which is where the whole "Quirk marriage" concept stemmed from. So if Bakugou's situation is having a so-so genetic pool and unintentionally getting the best outcome possible, Todoroki's is intentionally having the best possible genetic pool and keep trying until you get the best outcome that you wished for. And what I really find interesting is that Bakugou's homogeneously combined both parts of his parents quirks to create his, while Todoroki's is more like having two independent quirks awkwardly squished together side to side.
To resume Bakugou was born with the best, Todoroki was born to have the best tool and Midoriya was given the best tool. And I love how neat this is that each member of the origin trio got such different circumstances and how balanced the whole thing is. (I mean it is already quite well balanced when you only consider the baku-deku dynamics, but adding the Todoroki layer to the whole thing just makes everything super stable and wholesome, I freaking love it!!)

Hi! :) I was reading your post about SQH in TUT and it got me thinking. Since this version also wrote SVSSS, when he transmigrates does he realize his "dream" was real? Also, you hinted that he recognizes SY as the same person who transmigrated into SQQ, so now I'm wondering if he tells SY that, and how SY would react to learning he's the protagonist of SVSSS in another universe. I just love thinking about how meta this could potentially get, haha.
Can't wait to find out more! Keep up the good work!

@the-legend-of-chel šŸ‘šŸ‘šŸ‘ Luv, good to see you in my Asks! Iā€™m glad to hear that youā€™re looking forward to finding out more in The Untold Tale! And thanks for your support and encouragement. šŸ’–

(TUT ch1 - Excerpt)
Youā€™re right. There is a lot of meta potential with older!Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky being the MXTX equivalent in this AUā€”or, rather, I like to imagine him growing up to be the Stephen King equivalent of modern day China with a prolific portfolio of written works (novels and short stories, and extras). In canon, he churned out a great number of words per chapter and in a speedy amount of time! Do you guys know how miraculous that is, as a writer? I envy him so much! To be able to churn out that much content in a short amount of time, and in a scheduled regimen, is amazing! Thatā€™s basically my angle having written this into the prologue of TUT. Thatā€™s partially the reason why I wrote ch1. I liked the idea of paying homage to SVSSS and saying that itā€™s an actual book series in TUT universe that Airplane wrote (as funny as the idea would be, I wasnā€™t about to let SY be the one to write it, lol, for intellectual property reasons since the PIDW characters belong to Airplane, which would necessitate SY changing names and character appearances if he published what we know as irl SVSSS, so the best I can give SY is saying he wrote his own PIDW fanfic which basically launched his novelist career because heā€™d realized, hey, I actually have a knack for writing and the ever so spiteful I feel like practically every writer has had this thought before: fine, if I donā€™t see what I want to read, then Iā€™ll write it myself!)
Tumblr media
(TUT ch1 - Excerpt)
Weā€™re approaching TUT spoiler territory so skip below if you donā€™t wish to be spoiled.
TUT (Meta) Spoilers
I personally love meta. If Iā€™m to be writing a lovestory to SVSSS, there will be attempts at meta thrown into TUT. And this is one of them:
Airplane did ā€œdreamā€ about canon SVSSS. He basically ā€œdreamtā€ about his favorite black powder fan, Peerless Cucumber
Tumblr media
changing events of Airplaneā€™s biggest regret Proud Immortal Demon Way. (As a writer, it embarrasses me to read my old writing. So I imagine it could be the same for Airplane.) As an author, Airplane recognized what he dreamt had potential to be a commercial success as a danmei transmigration story so basically every time he woke up, he would write pieces of what he remembers in a dream journal when the memory was fresh in his brain. It also allowed Airplane the opportunity to show his readers through the perspective of SY! Shen Qingqiu what Airplane had originally wanted to write, but integrated in a way that blends seamlessly into the reading experience. He wouldā€™ve thought it was a bit weird and strange that his brain dreamt about his past criticā€”whom heā€™d considered a small celebrity in the PIDW forums back thenā€”aka his anti-fan-turned-accomplished-novelist in the writing industry, so he felt embarrassed that his unconscious brain must have thought very highly of the man.
So Airplane omitted any mention of Peerless Cucumber from the final draft of SVSSS (if he mentioned both ā€œShen Yuanā€ and ā€œPeerless Cucumber,ā€ then even SY would be like, Hey, wait one moment....). This detail will be included in a later chapter, but did you know the name ā€œShen Yuanā€ has come up in other works? Letā€™s ignore the variations on the Chinese written characters for the name ā€œShen Yuan.ā€ There was the evil older brother character Shen Yuan from The Rebirth of the Malicious Empress of Military Lineage, a side character named Shen Yuan from a C-drama (I think he was an old minister?), and thereā€™s even an irl visual artist named Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan (Shen Garden) is also a famous romantic garden in Shaoxing, known for the love story between Lu You and Tang Wan.
Tumblr media
(Shen Yuan Garden - Trip Advisor Review)
Basically ā€œShen Yuanā€ in itself is not a particularly uncommon name in China (imo I would not say itā€™s super popular either). So when SY saw his name mentioned once or twice in Airplaneā€™s SVSSSā€”aka rebooted PIDWā€”during his read-through, he was like, Huh, what a strange coincidence. And then dismissed it as circumstantial and thought nothing of seeing his name come up in a cutsleeve novel as the new protagonist, haha. Itā€™s like a book written by Anne Rice; one of the titles coincidentally has the same name as mine. Now, obviously the book and main character is not based or inspired by me; I just coincidentally share the same name. If I see books which have characters with my same first name, generally I like to read them and sometimes even collect them for my bookshelves. Because thereā€™s something just so fun and interesting about seeing your own name in a fictional piece of work.
Thereā€™s also meta joke potential about Airplane dreaming of himself being transmigrated into the cannon fodder Shang Qinghua and seeing the romantic miscommunications between the younger version of himself (his self-insert essentially) and the fictional Mobei jÅ«n character. I can certainly say seeing such dreams would make Airplane question his sexuality and awaken something dormant in him, haha. Heā€™d realize he might not be not as straight as he thought he was, if his brain was capable of dreaming of SY!SQQ being crushed on by LBH, and SQH being crushed on by MBJ and essentially following MBJ around calling him ā€œmy kingā€ this and ā€œmy kingā€ that. Heā€™ll be sweating bullets when he meets this worldā€™s version of MBJ, because Airplane will definitely remember how the younger Self-Insert version of himself acted toward MBJ in the SVSSS world. (Itā€™s the classic ā€œJust because I dreamed about it happening doesnā€™t mean itā€™ll happen here, right? ...Right? Cucumber brother, youā€™re a fortuneteller! Please check our eight characters for me! I have to know my marriage compatibility with Mobei jÅ«n!ā€)
In a later chapter, there will be the reveal where Airplane tells Shen Yuan that he ā€œdreamtā€ of a universe where a younger version of Shen Yuanā€”having choked on mantou (馒夓) (paying homage to the donghua) or just being transmigrated in general after raging at a younger ASTTSā€™s writing (paying homage to the books)ā€”transmigrated into the Shen Qingqiu we know from SVSSS who married Bing mĆØi. Because I think it will be hilarious when TUTā€™s SY finds out about the true source of Airplaneā€™s inspiration, and heā€™ll naturally freak out over the fact that this is the very same Bing gē from Airplaneā€™s Bing-gē vs Bing-mĆØi extra and that heā€™s essentially somehow stumbled on the same path as the alternative younger SY!SQQ ā€œfrom Airplaneā€™s imagination.ā€ I will leave this open to interpretation if this does show up (itā€™s just an idea Iā€™m playing with) but I might hint that there might be a higher power at play which allowed Airplane a peek into another universeā€”which manifested as his dreams.
I very much like this dynamic (we might see this exchange, verbatim, in a future chapter in TUT):
SY/ LBH ā€”> He gave him a disdainful gaze.
Airplane cried inwardly at the oppression and the feeling of being wronged.
Haha, none of this is really Airplaneā€™s fault^ though. Itā€™s a fun parallel and if Iā€™m still motivated when we get to the wedding and consummation chapter, we might see an epilogue where SY and Bing gē from TUT meets SY!SQQ and Bing mĆØi maybe. Because I think itā€™ll be funny with the two LBHs getting into a shouting/ fighting match about who has the ā€œsuperior Shen Yuanā€ while the two SYs just shake their heads at their silly husbands (and potentially TUTā€™s SY, as the older party, can impart his fortunetelling wisdom and advice to SY!SQQ).
Personally I canā€™t wait when we get to those chapters, because I know itā€™ll be entertaining to write, haha. Personally TUT is a fun project because thereā€™s just so much meta potential that can be incorporated and I have a lot of fun imagining the scenarios.
*Note: like always, keep in mind that these are just my current thoughts. Details are subject to change; things arenā€™t considered official until they show up in the final draft on AO3. :)
The Novelistsā€™ First Impressions
The first impression SY and Airplane will have of each other will be fun. Because in their perspective, written in my notes itā€™s essentially like:
(Airplane seeing SY):
His first reaction was shock. Shock because the mere mortal he used to be could not conceive so much charisma being emitted by this guy.
This is definitely a man who had put all of his stats into CHARISMA.
(SY seeing Airplane):
He's suspiciously good looking in ways that normal people are not.
Ah, the Cucumberplane friendship in TUT is going to be so much fun. Not only are these two older souls who transmigrated (both are mid-aged in this universe), theyā€™re both accomplished novelists in their own right in the writing industry. Which means with these two being celestial beings, thereā€™s so many clichĆ©s we can playfully poke fun at.
It also makes me laugh because imagine being SY, and seeing a guy (mortal!Airplane) who exudes the same energy as these two imperial princes GIFs:

Do you really believe that mofftiss know what they're doing? I mean, I hope so... but sometimes I can't believe it.
It really is a hard idea to stick to, Nonny, I totally get it.
Here are the things that help me keep the hope alive (settle in, folks, Iā€™m about to go on a tangent):
First, S1 & S2 (and Iā€™d argue at least some of S3) were so well done, crafted with such care by everyone involved. Gatiss and Moffat are such fanboys it is ridiculous, and I donā€™t think we should forget that we fell in love with this show and these characters in the first place thanks to them.
Second, I personally think itā€™s par for the course for show runners to keep fans in the dark. I know Mofftiss are sometimes arseholes in how they go about it, but they obviously need to keep the element of surprise (especially if theyā€™re doing something that is truly groundbreaking and never-before-seen-on-tv like they claimed they were ::cough:: Johnlock ::cough::). They canā€™t tell us what they have planned, and this is not unique to these writers, this show, or the BBC.Ā
Third, I think that the show is following a five-act structure. Weā€™ve witnessed the good times, and now this is the crisis/conflict stage, after this comes resolution/happy ending. Read more about how this is a 5 act show hereĀ in @toxicsemicolonā€˜s most recent meta.
Fourth, there are too many coincidental loose ends that canā€™t possibly be accidents, like in HLV -- Molly tells Sherlock after he is shot: ā€œItā€™s not like it is in the movies. Thereā€™s not a great big spurt of blood and you go flying backwards.ā€ Yet that is literally exactly what happens to Mary when she is shot in T6T (the very next episode). Why would they do that unless they want to raise red flags for the viewers. It was almost comical how overblown Maryā€™s bullet wound was, and that was on purpose. So... why?
Same thing with the skull painting. The same painting has been a prominent mainstay of the flat at 221b for 3 seasons/series and suddenly in S4, it glows and changes colors and sometimes is completely black. Why? Mofftiss claims that itā€™s budget constraints with the original paintingā€™s artist, but in the same exact series they were able to afford to film two helicopter scenes and rent an Aston Martin? I donā€™t buy it. Thereā€™s a reason.
Weā€™re lucky to have a fandom full of brilliant people who like to pull at those threads and unravel the nonsense. Check out the blogs ofĀ @inevitably-johnlocked, @monikakrasnorada @mrskolesouniverse @raggedyblue @sarahthecoat @fellshish @heimishtheidealhusband @may-shepard @toxicsemicolon @marcespot @marcelock @jenna221b @tjlcisthenewsexy @consultingidiots @shylockgnomes @patiencegrenadeĀ @possiblyimbiassed @ghislainem70Ā @ebaeschnbliah and @sagestreet (and Iā€™m forgetting tons, my apologies!) for some great insights and discussions.Ā
Ever since I discovered meta Iā€™ve been sure that there is something more meaningful coming.Ā
If nothing else, there are too many coincidences to be accidental. Just a few Ā examples (I could go on for days... donā€™t tempt me)
In TLD, Culverton Smith says (of getting away with murder)Ā ā€œYou donā€™t build a beach if you want to hide a pebble; you just find a beach!ā€ and then in the very next episode, Mycroft tells Sherlock about Eurus while flashing back to a beach covered in pebbles (which they shipped in for that scene) and then holding a pebble, which he drops onto the beach. Read more inĀ @finalproblemā€˜s amazing meta here.
In TFP, the patience grenade explosion in 221b was powerful enough to blow John and Sherlock out a window (and according to Mark Gatiss,Ā ā€œboop theyā€™re fineā€ cuz they bounced off the thin awning of Speedyā€™s cafe, which must also heal burns and scrapes and bruises but whatever), but it didnā€™t burn paper or half the things in the flat. It DID, however, destroy Johnā€™s chair. The chair that they replaced it with? Johnā€™s chair from TAB. From Sherlockā€™s 1800s mind palace. Arwel Wynn Jones has confirmed this.
This tale from Sherlocked Con of a discussion with Wanda Ventham from @fleurdebee legitimately haunts me.
Comments from the cast and crew that donā€™t make sense yet... including Louise Brealeyā€™s tweet about Chekovā€™s gun
Speaking of which, you should read all of @toxicsemicolonā€˜s other astoundingly brilliant meta includingĀ Poetry or Truth?Ā
Set designer Arwel Wynn Jones has trolled us (or given us clues?) many times, namely referring to elephants (ā€the elephant in the roomā€), but also the skull paintingĀ (more skull fuckery here).
Hereā€™s a solid list of questions that @snycock came up with for Sherlocked UK that either prove that the whole cast and crew went through some sort of collective insanity for TFP, or thereā€™s something more coming and things donā€™t make sense for a reason (which is what I think)
ā€œThe Lost Specialā€
ā€œMirrorsā€ (where one character stands in for another in a scene, like Molly for John, or Culverton for John, etc.)
Imagery of both burning/fire and drowning/water
Check out my tags for more meta, itā€™s incredible what this fandom discovers. Most of my meta is tagged under #hope for s5 #what fresh fuckery is this #I believe in mofftissĀ
Ok, Iā€™m starting to get incoherent and my browser just crashed all my tabs so Iā€™ll leave it at that. The meta rabbit hole is deep and wide and curvy and I could probably fill a book filled with just links to other peopleā€™s brilliant findings.
I guess the main takeaway I want to leave you with is this:
IĀ don't think two men who cared so much about this show for so long would chuck it into the toilet for no reason. The same brilliant minds that gave us villains like Moriarty, Culverton Smith, and Magnussen suddenly giving us an improbable two-dimensional psychopath in Eurus makes no sense. TFP itself makes no sense in about 100 different ways. And I donā€™t think any of that was an accident.
More is coming. When the Garridebs story is finally free of copyright, weā€™ll get our resolution. I donā€™t know which theory I believe but there are so many... that Eurus shot John and TFP is his dying hallucination, that Sherlock is still in his mind palace (possibly since HLV, or even earlier), that the whole thing is us seeing events through Johnā€™s blog (which was commissioned by the BBC yet often conflicts with canon), alibi theory... who knows. Iā€™m happy to point you toward more meta, but I think the blogs I mentioned above and some of the links should start you on your way. Once the evidence starts to stack up, itā€™s clear... we donā€™t have the whole picture yet.Ā

y'know what? more lore for the tyrant, even though this is a bonecrusher blog. obvious warning for obvious sex talk.
first off, to expand upon tyrant's multiversal escapades and thoughts on sex, he's been asked about if he has a dick (among other similarly topical things) multiple times from different organisms, such as anthropomorphic planes, living rocks, xenomorphs, and (for some goddamn reason) transformers. every time, he denies so, saying that his 'bulge' is simply an extra piece of armor that he couldn't find a fitting place for. of course, nobody believes him (not even his teammates). (this one time, coincidentally while the tyrant was in a bad mood, he blasted one girl's brains all over a wall because she was being too pushy about it.) now, seeing as (new information moment) nobody knows how long he has existed for, it's unknown just how many people he's killed over the topic, or how many universes he's jumped to just to be asked for a quick fuck. one can only hope not too many corpses have been piled just because of hormones, of course.
next topic, what the hell is the tyrant anyways? he's obviously not a robot, no matter how much he tries to say he is, he has similar-looking friends/teammates (no, really, the only differences between him and maniac, for example, are the clothing choices (fancy tuxedo vs. full-body armor vest), the weapon choices (overly long pump-action shotgun vs. minigun), the heights (7'6" vs. 8'9") and the faces (ear to ear smile (extremely deep, too) and extremely dilated eyes (near-invisible pupils) vs. square eyes (and pupils) and square mouth (unusual). the facial features feature the same color of neon yellow. obvious behavioral differences and manners of speaking associated as well.), and he's obviously not a human because he's just... too unusual? like, extreme height, frightening face, long-ass shotgun, teleportation magic(?)? you'd call that a human?, he's also not a cybertronian (can't transform, no kibble, teleports or uses a motorcycle when he wants to get around). therefore... fuck, idk. i don't even know what to call his species, or his homeworld (even though it's been gone for primus knows how long). all i can tell you is he ain't no robot, it's just the (extremely tight) armor that makes it look like he is.
another topic: who the hell are his friends???? well, for starters and since we already covered the maniac, the psycho is ~8'1", and is a buff mfr, relying on his entire upper torso to kill people. he, like the tyrant, isn't into sexual activities (but not to the tyrant's extent). his clothing consists of one pair of cargo pants, black color with no camouflage patterns. his shoes are... nonexistent. he doesn't need shoes for some goddamn reason, even though he ALWAYS finds a way to stub his toes at least once per multiversal trip. nobody knows how or why he's able to do so, and he's just as confused as everyone else. he also doesn't wear a shirt (his muscleeyes are too powerful), and his face consists of a pair of dodecagon-shaped (12 sided polygon) eyes, and a glowing mouth, usually slightly grimaced.
overwatch is the team's one and only sniper, preferring to use an anti-material rifle over something like a shotgun or a minigun. he also has a desert eagle holstered on his hip, for if anything sneaks up on him, since an anti-material rifle isn't the most maneuverable of ranged weaponries. his clothes are something not dissimilar to what the operator montange from rainbow six siege wears, just with red accents instead of blue, and no GIGN patch. his face consists of five blob-like eyes, with similarly blob-like pupils, and a facemaskshield similar to what you'd find on optimus prime that moves around and flashes yellow whenever he speaks. his blob eyes can move around his head if he wishes to, for example, gun down an enemy trying to sneak behind him. he ALSO has an extra set of arms just incase he needs to shoot two people at once. he's prepared like that.
the team consists of no female or female-like characters, since their species doesn't fuck like humans do (i already went over this in another post, but the original species that the tyrant, maniac, psycho and overwatch descend from procreate in a way not dissimilar to how nebulas form, two put some materials together to make a third and all that), for those wondering.
no other topics for now, but when i think of one, i'll try my best to write it down. as thanks for reading/scrolling down to here, here's my cat. her name's sweepy, and if i recall her birthday correctly, she's five years old. i love her with all my heart, and i hope you feel the same. have a good day.

I was supposed to go to bed at a decent time, but I jumped up at 2am to write a 2 page essay about this theory. I came up with this theory in March of 2018 when the first CoG teaser was released.
This theory contains MAJOR Fantastic Beasts SPOILERS.Ā
I believe that Credence is part of the Greengrass family.Ā
At the end of Crimes of Grindelwald, Grindelwald reveals to Credence that he is NOT a squib, NOT Corvus Lestrange, but actually Aurelius Dumbledore; supposedly some relative of Albusā€™s. HOWEVER, I do not believe this is the case at all.
When the first Crimes of Grindelwald teaser trailer was released, I was in London with my best friend for my sixteenth birthday and we had the privilege of getting to see The Cursed Child at the Palace Theater. Coincidentally, on that same day, the teaser dropped. At the time, we only knew that Credence was searching for his true identity, and that we had a new character who was a maledictus. The Nagini reveal had not been dropped yet.
We saw Cursed Child that night, and one of Dracoā€™s lines stood out to me. ā€œWe were capable of having children, but Asoria was frail. A blood malediction, a serious one. An Ancestor was cursed...it showed up in her. You know how these things can resurface after generations.ā€ (Harry Potter & the Cursed Child Part Two, Act Four, Scene 4) I remember sitting in the theater and freezing up at this line. Maledictal. Maledictus. This is important, I promise.Ā
For those who don't know, or who forgot, a maledictus is a blood curse that affects women. Eventually, they permanently turn into a beast, for example: Nagini. It's passed down through the bloodline, but it can skip generations.Ā
Draco Malfoyā€™s wife Astoria died from this blood malediction. We don't know the specifics, we know she got very sick so I assume that she had a milder version of the curse that just ended up killing her. Because if we look at Naginiā€™s case, she transformed into a snake and lived for a long time. (As far as we know. Currently, we know that the Fantastic Beasts timeline is leading up to what muggles know as World War II and started at the birth of Tom Riddle aka Voldemort. But that's a whole other can of worms, and I won't get into that mess because this theory focuses on Credence.)Ā
I promise this all leads up to Credenceā€™s heritage, there's just a bunch of things to unpack in this theory.Ā
Now, Astoriaā€™s maiden name is Greengrass, one of the Sacred 28 Pureblood Wizarding families, meaning her line goes back a WAYS. The Potters aren't even part of the Sacred 28.Ā
You may recognize the name Greengrass if you're like me and remember unimportant small details. Daphne Greengrass, Astoriaā€™s older sister, was a Slytherin in Harry & Dracoā€™s year at Hogwarts.Ā Sheā€™s a minor character, first mentioned in Order of the Phoenix in Chapter 31, O.W.L.s.Ā
If you were to stumble onto Astoriaā€™s Harry Potter Wiki page and scroll down to her list of family members, you will see the Malfoys, her sister Daphne, her son Scorpius, and an ā€˜unnamed ancestor.ā€™
This ancestor is obviously the woman who passed the malediction down the Greengrass line. If you were to click on it, it brought you to a page that said just that, with a link to the page on ā€œblood maledictions.ā€ If you scrolled down to known victims, it would show you Astoria Malfoy and the then unnamed maledictus from Fantastic Beasts 2. Once the Nagini reveal had been released, and before someone realized the connection that is not necessarily canon yet, if you went back and clicked on this unnamed maledictus on that same page, it took you to Nagini. At that time (it's been updated since then), clicking ā€œAstoria Malfoyā€™s unnamed Ancestorā€ took you to Naginiā€™s Page.Ā
This brings us back to 1928, where Credence Barebone is struggling to find his identity.Ā
You can't tell me that Credence and Claudia Kimā€™s Nagini didn't have chemistry, especially if youā€™ve watched the deleted scenes from Crimes of Grindelwald. 90% of them are just Credence and Nagini silently hanging out on the run, cuddling, surviving, etc etc. They have a strong bong after being stuck in that circus together.Ā
In order for the blood curse to be passed down, the victim obviously has to have someone to pass it down to.Ā
I strongly believe that Credenceā€™s true identity is that heā€™s part of the Greengrass family. Iā€™m assuming that heā€™s going to have a child with Nagini who will grow up to have Daphne and Astoria.Ā
Obviously there's a strong loophole here. Maybe Astoriaā€™s ancestor is some other maledictus. But just how common are maledictuses?Ā
How unlikely is it that the two maledictuses, a curse that is PASSED DOWN BY BLOOD, are purebloods from the same line? Namely one of the Sacred 28 wizarding families, of which, may I remind you, THERE ARE ONLY 28. AND THEY'RE ALL RELATED.Ā
Now, you're probably wondering, ā€œThen why are we being told that Credence is this ā€˜Aurelius Dumbledoreā€™ dude?ā€Ā
Because Grindelwald needs him to believe it.Ā
Grindelwald can't move against Dumbledore because of their blood pact, but if he can convince Credence- an obscurus, a powerful obscurus- that he has a motive against Dumbledore, such as being abandoned, Credence will kill Dumbledore for Grindelwald. Grindelwald is lying to Credence so that he can use his power.Ā
ā€œBut what about the phoenix?ā€ Credence didn't touch it. The phoenix appeared to Grindelwald, who then passed it to Credence. Grindelwald has a BLOOD PACT with Dumbledore, he essentially shares blood with Dumbeldore. He is lying to Credence, fabricating the past that Credence doesn't have to trick him.Ā
To reiterate: Credence is actually part of the Greengrass family, and if this is true, Nagini may be related to Draco Malfoyā€™s wife.
I have linked my original Twitter Thread & Instagram Highlight that include SCREENSHOTSĀ
all of my references are linked in the description of the YouTube video in the orginal post.
I know this is a Lunar Chronicles blog, but I'm also the biggest Harry Potter fanatic I know and I have this insane theory about Fantastic Beasts and I feel the need to share it.
It's been 2 years in the making and I have hard evidence to back it up and I am convinced that I'm right about this.
