jane as the absolute worst of the alpha kids at actually cooking anything. dirk and roxy the apocalypse kids can make a reasonably good meal out of pretty much whatever and jake at the very least understands his grandma's arcane cooking technology but jane doesnt know how a stove works. has like three Proper Meals she can make and they're all as desperately baking-adjacent as she could manage. cannot make anything without a recipe to work from. lived off of really pathetic sandwiches and inviting herself over for dinner for the first few months in the medium until roxy took pity on her and showed her how to make a casserole and then she lived off of really pathetic sandwiches and also the same casserole every week
