Found a good view of the back art/Obsidian. [source]
[source] [source]
It looks like Obsidian is on the back of the Bulgarian version of "Until The End". I couldn't find a good picture of the back online tho.
It also seems like the Bulgarian versions of the books are gonna get reprints too? At least I found a vid that shows a Bulgarian version of "Deathbringer" with red sprayed edges and a different cover that looks closer to the UK version. On the right is the OG cover.

I don't understand Bulgarian tho, so I have no idea what the man is saying.

Scared I'm seen as a centrist in syscourse because I'm endo neutral, but then I remember my views:
- pro endos can and will harass anti endos
- anti endos can and will harass pro endos
- being plural has roots to being nondisordered scientifically, however I've never personally seen any scientific text say that endogenic plurals exist
- being plural and being a system are different. A fully endogenic system (in my opinion, as a linguistics nerd) doesn't exist, but is an endogenic plural (multiple or collective are also acceptable)
- faking disorders isn't as much of a conscious thing as people on things like r/fakedisordercringe and r/systemcringe believe, however faking things like DID and OSDD do happen because folks are mentally ill or a "cringey teen" (a teenager who's trying to figure out what's happening to them)
- xeno-origins make no sense to me, some are so oddly specific they make no sense in psychology and neurology and how plurality forms (I'll be making a post on my theory later)
- being a "tulpa" isn't real, and sounds appropriated as hell. It's willogenism.
- calling an alter a part is completely fine and valid and not anti recovery (we personally do it)
- PK, Obsidian, Tupper, SP, and any plural tracking sites are completely optional and judging plurals for whether or not they use them is fucking pointless.

Something finally clicked for me irt Destiny YouTubers and how so many of them generate fake outrage for views.
some background context:
Earlier today I saw Tweet by one of the writers/desginers of Obsidian Games J.Sawyer & One of the writers of Night in The Woods S. Benson (Both involved with highly successful & critically beloved Single player games)
They were mocking some sentiment about how BG3 being successful is some how a threat to them and how that idea that ones success at telling a good story somehow puts them in a corner
Aztecross had a video about Baulder's Gate and was airing that exact sentiment with that annoying rant face YTbrs do. Like this is a game that's its own thing and isn't a Live Service and a nice sp rpg
and too somehow turn that news into some controversy and how other games are "scared bc now they have to put in effort " blah blah blah
like?!? that just shows the worst. that somehow every video even on games that have no connection to the Live Service (*cough*Destiny*cough*) side of the industry somehow is made to stir up negative sentiment about them
Like dude just play a game ans have fun and idk talk about what you like about it. And if that's not enough to keep viewers interested you have no one to blame but yourself bc you cultivated a base thats addicted t being mad
Yep, I've seen that whole "controversy." I have no clue why people are comparing a singleplayer RPG that's been in development for 6 years to live service games. Or other games in general. Like, these are not the same thing. They can never be the same thing and they never will. No one is being threatened. They're different parts of the market. Most people play both; they take a break from a live service to play a newly released singleplayer and then when they're done with it, they go back to the live service while they wait for something else.
The only "threat" here is gamers expecting two completely different types of games to be the same. Like expecting that a live service game that has to develop things in the span of six months in advance to have the same type of content as a game that's been developing for 6 years and is one and done on release.
If they want Destiny (or any live service game) to come close to something like this, they will have to come to terms with "content droughts" aka periods of months and even years where no new content is being put out because the developers are working on a massive release that will come out in 6 years. Which means that they don't want a live service game.
And that's fine! There are games being released that aren't live service games. Go play them! I don't know why they expect Destiny to stop being a live service game suddenly after being one for 9 years. Like, you knew what you were getting into when you decided to make Destiny your only game. It's always been a live service.
All in all, as usual, these people have massive addiction problems and burnout and need to literally NOT base their entire income on a single video game. Bungie isn't making a video game for streamers to build their career on, they're making a game for normal people who have plenty of stuff to do, sometimes even too much. They want a game like Baldur's Gate but that will continuously update with perfect quality content until the heat death of the universe. The only "threat" to the gaming industry is influential gaming "personalities" convincing people that this is normal to expect and possible to achieve.

Whats your favorite species of spider
Whats the best spider you ever saw IRL
Do u have any random spider facts
Thank you for excuses to show off spider pics ive taken
Favorite species: The answer more-or-less changes depending on the most recent spider I've seen. Common favorites are Yellow Garden Spiders (Argiope aurantia), Spined Micrathena (Micrathena gracilis), and Goldenrod Crab Spiders (Misumena vatia.) To be respectful, I should probably admit goldenrod crabs are the most perennial favorites, as the story in my family goes that it was one of those that blessed my birth. (Below: Argiope aurantia and Micrathena gracilis)

BEST spider I ever saw... This is also difficult. Every spider is the best. But... I'll try. I will divide this into two answers: most exciting to find & most happy to see
Most exciting spider I got to find:
While walking on a trail at a previous job, I suddenly saw a small obsidian marble toddling over the rocks. Interested, I went to pick them up, but discovered just how adamant they were on evading me. My logic abandoned me as I was overtaken immediately by the scramble to WIN and pick them up.
Oh, what a wrestle it was, I tell you. Poor thing was thoroughly harassed, but I couldn't recognize it at all! I wanted to know! I did, admittedly, have the dim brain connection as I looked at it's overall shape: oh, sort of shaped like a black widow, cool!

It was indeed a Black Widow! Possibly a juvenile, so even if the child felt wrathful about the scrabble I put it through, there is a chance it would have to be content with insults.
The patterns on the top side of the abdomen were gorgeouuuus! It slightly leads me to believe it was a Lactrodectus variolus...? But the widow species in America are hard for me, so I'll just say Latrodectus sp. for now lol...
Ok, that was that. Here's the spider that made me happiest to find:

Meta ovalis, the Cave Spider, baby!!!! Over 200 ft under the ground in Mammoth Cave (if you are ever there, the 'domes and dripstones' tour visits places where spiders can be found. I got to see at least four different species while in there.)
A circular web-builder, (though I couldn't capture the web itself in my photo) underground!!! Underground orbweavers... gwaah, isn't that cool?
RANDOM SPIDER FACTS: spiders, [end of transmission]

The Rise & Fall of the Third Reich(nf), William l Shirer ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So this month felt pretty slow, but I actually did get through quite a few books. Where I really got bogged down was Cold Fire by Dean Koontz, but we will discuss that in a moment.
This was my first reading of Oedipus the King in any form, and I have to say that it was a fantastic experience. Even getting the book was a really nice experience. Not that there are many occasions where getting a book is a bad experience. Anyways. I had decided to stop by the local Collective Bookshop in town after work, because I had seen their posts on the facebook community groups about how they were raising funds for the next year of their operation, and I thought well, I could be part of the community and go buy a cup of coffee and maybe a book or two. So I did! It's a weird sort of space up some stairs from the main road, and I think it probably used to be an apartment or something because the layout is not very shop-like. Which is nice, the different rooms each have some seating space, and every wall is full of shelving which is full of books. Different genres in different rooms, artwork on the tiny bits of wall not obscured by books, and a decent space for small community events like book launches, art shows, and video game nights. I found a very nice copy of Oedipus the King, and my sole complaint is that it is a standalone play, and now I really want to read the other two Oedipus plays that Sophocles wrote. I also found a paperback of Goodbye to All That by Robert Graves, which I haven't gotten around to reading yet. But y'know. Soon.
Oedipus the King is one of those plays that as I was reading it, my latent theatre kid pathology started waking up. I could imagine how I would stage it, and the kind of casting that I would want to do, and how many fun ways you could use the chorus for dramatic effect. I even know which local theatre group I would trust to do the staging with enough flamboyant set dressing and costume design. I read it on the train to Sydney, now and then reading aloud some of the most killer lines for the friends I was travelling with. If you like reading plays, do give this one a go, the dramatic irony is delicious, and just about every character has some ripper smart arse lines.
And from there, we'll have to discuss something less fun. Cold Fire by Dean Koontz. Now, granted, the first three quarters of this book are very fun. It's an action-movie-like plot with some pretty cool set pieces, and characters that are fairly cardboard cut-out-y but in a way that works just fine for an action thriller. Unfortunately after all of that run-up, the book entirely fails to stick the landing in a way which retroactively makes the whole thing awful. The plot is essentially that there is a man travelling around the USA (and around the world), showing up in random places just in time to save random people from random events where they otherwise would have been killed. He then leaves without sharing his identity or sticking around to talk to reporters about his deeds, and so for a long while, this goes under the radar as a bunch of unrelated local interest stories. Until one day he happens to perform one of these rescues while a journalist is already on site, interviewing someone else, and witnesses the whole event.
The journalist corners the guy, gets his name, and they part ways. She then goes back to her unsatisfying job, writing about small town stuff, and she gets an idea. Maybe she should investigate the guy, and find out what he's really up to. So she finds a whole bunch of news reports that can be linked back to him, and starts putting together a timeline of the crazy rescues he's been doing. Meanwhile this guy is off rescuing some people as usual, and so on and so forth. Eventually the journalist decides to track him down at home, and finds his house, starts canvassing people who know him to find information, and then she shows up at his place and demands to be let in with the threat of writing a big story about what he's been doing. So he lets her in, and at this point the story falls apart.
Cold Fire sets us up with a few options for what might be happening, some of which are very cool, some of which are a bit goofy, and then it goes with the goofy option, with a side order of misused psychological terminology, and a baffling about-face from action packed set pieces, to a sedate tour of a small town, including a long slow interlude at a retirement home. Apparently, the main guy is a psychic, with DID (not that what is represented here resembles DID, but we'll get to that), and one of his alternate personalities is eeeeevil, and has been doing all of the horrible scary things that the protags have been stressing out about. Such horrible scary things as: feeding death threats and psychic torture directly into the journalist woman's mind, while they're supposedly falling deeply in love over the course of three days, and she sets out to 'cure' his DID with the Power of a Good Woman.
The thing is, the 'DID' in this story sure does read a lot more like maladaptive daydreaming. Apparently after the trauma of watching his parents be murdered as a kid, this guy got heavily invested in a sci-fi novel about a kid who speaks to an alien living in a space ship in the pond on his family farm. He then psychically then manifests his own 'alien presence' on his grandparent's farm, but adds the figure of an evil alien who wants to do bad and naughty things. The character 'gets messages' from the 'good alien' which are how he gets the information on how to perform his daring rescues, and he has nightmares about the 'evil alien', and is afraid that the 'evil alien' is going to show up and do...something bad. The alien 'personalities' aren't taking over so that the guy can get through a truamatic time, they're fantasies that he has the power to make visible because he's a psychic.
Anyway, the whole thing's a moot point because after a long, boring conversation at the retirement home, the journalist loves him hard enough to exorcise the mental illness out of him or whatever. It sucked, and at that point I was so annoyed at the experience of reading this book that I had to put it down and do some vigorous pacing around my office.
Did I mention that the 'evil alien' (the main dude) psychically tortures the journalist woman and threatens to kill her? Like a lot? In graphic detail? And she decides that she needs to marry this guy? Immediately?
Ugh.
A more interesting reading experience was The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, by William L Shirer. The author had been a journalist, posted in Germany for the duration of WW2, and after the war had access to files and documents that the US seized after the fall of the Reich. It is a very interesting book as an artifact of the time it was written in, and as a recount of first-person experiences of the author being a reporter in that time and place. The of-its-time of it has bizarre moments, though. For instance there's a vibrant homophobia which pops up at various points throughout the book. It was striking how often the author was able to rightly point to examples of Germans being 'duped' by what he thought of as obvious propaganda, and outright fabrications, but then that he turns around and does the same thing with his own prejudice. It's an interesting example of reportage which makes use of the writer's own experiences, but I probably wouldn't rely on it for strict factual accuracy for events outside of the author's personal experience.
I'll finish off here with an honorable mention for The Hungry Earth. It wasn't the greatest book I've ever read, but it was fun! It is what I would call a 'fungal horror', and it is actually a fairly shining example of its genre. Finally. I think fungus has such a great potential for horror writing, but it seems like every time I find one, it ends up being bad in weird and uncomfortable ways. Usually to do with gender. If you want to have fun, fungal body horror, check out The Hungry Earth.
And that's that for that.

Chapter 25- Part 16
It's Ace's time to shine with that sweet Facade power!
The Hyper Potion is just delaying the inevitable of the Facade power!!
Doublade? Okay, um- Gash can probably handle that one.
Oh shoot, it's got its own Synthetic Seed? Well, just to make sure it wastes that crit, we're gonna use Detect!
Perfect! Now we use Night Slash, which…doesn't do a whole lot, actually? Well, it didn't crit- in fact, it hasn't crit at all so far...
I'm sorry, Doublade’s using Gyro Ball, what did that say-?
Ah! Ah, I see, I think Gyro Ball gets a specific kind of boost from the Field, okay, well…maybe Prong?
First, I ought to heal her-
And she may not be fast, but she's faster than a Doublade, and she can use that to Dig!
Unfortunately, her Attack isn't nearly as good as her Sp. Attack, and Dig doesn't do nearly enough damage.
I think I need Obsidian for this, so…we'll send in Ace, first.
Then revive Obsidian in the background-
Then we bring her back in!
I know she can outspeed, but as for what will have the highest likelihood to kill…that'll probably be Sucker Punch.
OH COME ON! Missed it by that much!? It's not as egregious as the one little sliver, but it still makes me mad!
And that just leaves…
Well, no, this is okay- with that tiny amount left, even Disarming Voice should be enough to kill.
COME ON NOW. Ugh, whatever, just use Defense Curl for now-
Kirby can't win against this one, so…
I've still got Revives from all that mining I did. Time to use it and get Obsidian back in again while Kirby goes down!
Fire Fang has to do something here- burn it, flinch it, I don't care, just give me something!
Arceus has abandoned me. Yeah, that's another reload.
I think I underestimated how many Electric-type moves Shade's Pokémon would have- it's a logical choice, allowing him to still take advantage of both Short-Circuit and Factory Fields to deal huge damage. Fighting moves, too- there are a lot more of those than I was expecting, although I really should have seen that coming, it’s the main answer to Dark- and Normal-types.
So what do I know so far about his team…Gengar, Rotom, Dhelmise, Mimikyu, Doublade, and…something else. I still think it's gonna be one of the Ground-types, Golett/Golurk or Sandyghast/Palossand, for the reasons I explained before. They can shut down any of my attempts to take advantage of the boosts to Electric or Steel moves brought by Factory Field and use moves like Bulldoze and Earthquake to revert the Field back to Short-Circuit Field if Rotom is unable to.
But to be honest? I think my first few moves were okay. Namely:
Lead with Prong to use Charge Beam and change the Field to Factory Field.
Send in Gash to take Shadow Ball and finish off the Gengar.
Send in Obsidian to one-shot the Rotom with a guaranteed-crit Sucker Punch.
It's after that where things started to get scuffed. I need a better way to deal with Dhelmise and Mimikyu- and I can't use Obsidian, Dhelmise has Brick Break. So…well, I've got a Fire-type who has been shown to be quite reliable with dealing damage and who isn't weak to Fighting-type moves! And who is also immune to Electric-types! And as for Mimikyu- a Steel-type would be able to deal good damage and tank Mimikyu’s physical moves, especially if it knows Iron Defense (which raises Defense by three stages in Factory Field). And what do you know? We just caught a Steel-type who knows Iron Defense!
Now, if I am going to use Crater and Wulfrum, that does mean I'll need to switch out two other party members. Out of the six Pokémon I used in the first attempt…well, if Shade's not actually gonna have a Dark/Ghost-type, there's no reason to use Kirby. Also…Ace isn't doing much either; I thought the Scrappy + Facade combo would be cool, but if Shade's team is gonna keep throwing out Electric-type moves, it's too much of a risk to keep him in.
Which means…I spent just about two hours grinding coins in the Onyx Arcade…for nothing.
My anguish aside, it's time to rearrange the team, and- well, we can't use Wulfrum as he is now, right? The level cap is 40, after all, and that means…
And there we go! To be honest, while everyone else on my team is at the Lv. 40 cap, Wulfrum is…just at Lv. 39. That’s because I ran out of Exp. Candies and don’t wanna waste my one Rare Candy so soon. And while I know I could just go back to Grand Hall and battle to get a few more, to be honest…I just don’t want to. I’m here in Beryl Ward, and after all this time, I really don’t wanna go through the hassle of traveling all the way back to Opal Ward through the rest of Beryl Ward, then Jasper Ward, then Peridot Ward, then Lower Peridot Ward.
I’ve done enough running around with all the preparation I did before, I spent so much time on that already, it took hours to prepare that first attempt (~4 hours, to be exact), and I just…dread having to do any more running back and forth when I just wanna get back to the boss fight. This is why fast travel is a thing in most RPGs!!
But enough of that! It’s done, everything is as ready as it can be, I am not putting this off any more! Now with Crater and Wulfrum (who is holding a Steel Gem) in tow, let's give this another go.
To begin! Same as before- Prong, Charge Beam. Switch in to Gash, Night Slash!
Next step, here we go!

Divine Purpose (fem oc x male oc)

tw for this fic will include: SA, smut (18 +), violence, gore, torture, dark themes
In all her time spent in purgatory waiting for her judgement to be passed upon her , never did Salome ever think that the king of hell himself would call upon her. "A divine purpose" he had called it, this gift... this duty. She had observed in silence as Lucifer sat upon his throne woven with bones and flame and declared her his glorified errand boy. The dark thrumming power he had bestowed on her swirled in her veins and coiled around her bones like a serpent. She had felt the shift immediately; felt herself become something... more. The offer Lucifer had proposed was simply too tempting to resist. Her soul and eternal loyalty in exchange for revenge and a new life. Salome needed all of seconds before accepting the fallen angel's deal; her soul hadn't meant anything to her in quite some time. Little did she know, she'd soon become his favorite creation but perhaps his biggest regret.
Chapter 1: The Harbinger
The rocky earth bit into her hands as she collided with the ground below, this landing could've been better. With a raspy breath, she willed her now aching body to stand and surveyed her surroundings. The crimson moon casted an eerie glow on the desert and the distant howling of a coyote pricked at her sensitive ears. Shaking the dust from her wings, Salome willed them away with a flick of her wrist. This had always been a welcome perk to her power, being able to call on her wings should she need them but tuck them away when she didn't. It allowed her to blend in as well as keeping her from dragging them around as they were undoubtably heavy. In the distance, light from a nearby town shone brightly against the darkness of the desert, the bandit-ridden shithole of Black Rock she assumed. The buzz of dark energy that slithered up her spine told her that her assumption was correct. She always felt this buzz when her targets were close, the thrill of the hunt was the name she gave it. With a melodic whistle, Salome called for Azrael, her horse and was met with a rumbling beat of hooves as an answer. Chosen by her from a yearling, Azrael had become her mount and companion since her very first collection. The obsidian colored stallion was by far her most treasured gift from her king and he too was given abilities of his own. "Hello, my friend." Salome cooed to her steed and he greeted her with a low nicker and toss of his head. Running a hand through the thick tresses of Azrael's mane, she stroked the soft fur of his coat underneath, "Are you ready?" With a dip of his head, Azrael shifted so his side was facing her, an invitation. A smile ghosted over Salome's lips as she gripped the cool silver of the saddle horn before slipping a boot into the stirrup and swinging up. Adjusting the blade on her back and grabbing hold of the reins, she took in a breath to calm the dark energy that hummed in her. Something ancient and primal stirred beneath her ribcage and the honeyed taste of bloodlust coated her tongue. Salome savored these moments, when the Harbinger energy flooded her senses and replaced tormented thoughts with those of a predator, in these moments, she was free to indulge in the carnal parts of herself without the distraction of a conscience. Eyes that once held the color akin to liquid smoke now shone with the violet hue of the Harbinger and inky black tendrils worked their way across her body, down to her fingertips. Do with me what you must, the Harbinger rasped into her mind, I am yours to wield.
Before she could depart, a powerful gust of wind tore over the sand and rock and the rumbling of thunder along with it. Salome gave a sigh of agitation as she stared into the amber gaze of Killian, her master's lap dog and resident pain in the ass. "Happy to see me?" purred Killian, his voice a deep and sultry timbre. Salome's violet-kissed eyes narrowed in frustration, "As happy as a kicked dog." she spat. A feline grin worked it's way across the Incubus's full lips, "Come now Sal, I'm only here to help. No need to get testy." A snort came from Azrael, signaling his impatience, his mistress had summoned him for a job, one he was eager to carry out. Salome shushed him with a gentle pat to his thick neck before quirking a brow at the nuisance before her. "Do I look as though I need help? Don't you have innocent women to seduce into handing over their souls?", the bite in her voice was palpable. Her patience was running thin, did Lucifer not trust her to carry out this collection on her own? She had never failed him before so why now, was he suddenly concerned? Killian clocked the wheels turning in that startlingly gorgeous head of hers, he could tell that she was questioning her master's trust in her abilities. Little did she know, Lucifer had nothing to do with his little visit, he came of his volition. His spies sent word that Salome's target, Jonah Madsen, was no ordinary collection mark. He's been dabbling in dark magic and other occult practices to stave off his collection. He knew Salome was coming and he'd be ready for her, information that had likely not reached the Harbinger before she left. "Jonah knows you're coming Sal, he's prepared for it. He won't go without a fight. I just want you to know what you're walking into.", Killian exclaimed, he knew how stubborn Salome could be and it was going to get her killed one of these days. The eye roll aimed at the demon was felt before it was seen, and the scoff Salome sent his way, had the Incubus clenching his jaw. Fucking insufferable. "Give my best to dear Luci, he truly wasted his time sending you. I'll have that prick kneeling at the throne before dawn and I'll level that cesspool of a town to do it.", she growled, turning Azrael and galloping towards the town at breakneck speed.
Killian ran a ring-clad hand through his silvery hair with a huff. She's going to be the death of me, he thought to himself before enveloping himself in the shadow to follow her. The demon had a feeling she would need him and he'd be there when she did.

Fanart for Miraculous Team Volume 1: Origins.
Available to read in Fanfiction.net, AO3, and Deviantart.
an ancient evil is reawakened, and fourteen teenagers are chosen to become superheroes! This was written long before the Zodiac Miraculous were revealed, so for most of the kids, SP created his own Miraculous, and made some changes to the ones in canon. I figure the best cover art would be all the Miraculous symbols surrounding Hawk Moth’s symbol. Partway through drawing, I realized it was reminiscent of the Cipher Wheel from Gravity Falls; which is fine since both SP and I love that series. Anyway, clockwise from top right the symbols are:
The Cat Miraculous: a ring. Kwami: Plagg. Special Power: Cataclysm (and unlike canon, they can use their powers more than once) Special Tool: collapsible metal staff. Holder: Adrien, alias Chat Noir
The Turtle Miraculous: a jade bracelet. Kwami: Wayzz. Special Powers: Force Fields and minor healing. Special Tool: shield shaped like a turtle shell and a pair of tonfas. Holder: Nino, alias Carapace.
The Bee Miraculous: a hair comb. Kwami: Pollen. Special Power: Shrinking (which I like better than Venom) Special Tool: spinning trombo that creates whirlwinds. Holder: Chloe (who has more character development in one chapter, than she has in the entire canon) alias Queen Bee.
The Spider Miraculous: a wrist watch. Kwami: Arri. Special Power: Sticking to Walls. Special Tool: an extendible lasso. Holder: Max, alias Arachnid.
The Dragonfly Miraculous: a necklace. Kwami: Daria. Special Powers: Flight and Super Speed. Special Tool: Discus. Holder: Alix, alias Dragonfly.
The Deer Miraculous: a pin. Kwami: Pinn. Special Power: Turning Invisible. Special Tools: bow and an an endless supply of arrows. Holder: Mylan, alias Forest Doe.
The Raven Miraculous: a belt buckle. Kwami: Tammura. Special Power: Manipulating Shadows. Special Tool: obsidian mirror. Holder: Juleka, alias Corbie Noir.
The Flamingo Miraculous: a hair clip. Kwami: Flintt. Special Power: Self-Multiplying. Special Tool: walking stick shaped like a flamingo’s head. Holder: Rose, alias The Flamingo.
The Bear Miraculous: a spiked wristband. Kwami: Murria. Special Power: EarthShaking (causing earthquakes). Special Tools: knuckledusters. Holder: Ivan, alias Grizzly Bear.
The Antelope Miraculous: a leather bracelet. Kwami: Impp. Special Power: Incredible Leaps. Special Tool: wooden bat. Holder: Kim, alias Antelope.
The Red Panda Miraculous: an artists’ glove. Kwami: Mullan. Special Power: Bringing drawings to life. Special Tool: a spear that turns into a pen. Holder: Nathaniel, alias Panda Roux.
The Wolf Miraculous: brooch. Kwami: Mikka. Special Power: Ice Breath. Special Tools: bladed fans. Holder: Sabrina, alias Louve Gris.
The Fox Miraculous: pendant. Kwami: Trixx. Special Powers: Mirages (and levitation!) Special Tool: Flute. Holder: Alya, alias Rena Rouge.
The Ladybug Miraculous: earrings. Kwami: Tikki. Special Power: No Lucky Charm, but she still has that sixth-sense special sight that helps her come up with a plan. Special Tool: yo-yo. Holder: Marinette, alias Ladybug.

Fluffy Thermopylae training session, for @scipiosmith
“Do you believe in destiny?” Unblinking, Pyrrha's eyes held fast to Cinder's, her heart pounding in her chest.
The corner of Cinder's mouth curved into a small smirk. “As a matter of fact, I do.” In a single, smooth motion she drew the string of her bow back to her cheek and let fly, her obsidian arrow streaking toward Pyrrha's heart like lightning.
The arrow shattered on the surface of Pyrrha's shield just as she spun to hurl it at Cinder, who ducked beneath it and detached her bow into scimitars. She launched herself toward Pyrrha, who parried a quick series of blows with her spinning spear. "Why do you ask?"
"I've just… been thinking." Pyrrha turned a parry into a slash at Cinder's legs, forcing her to withdraw and giving Pyrrha the chance to press her own attack.
Cinder arched a brow curiously, deflecting Pyrrha's attacks in turn. "About?" Seeing an opening, she cut at Pyrrha's arm, only to be knocked off-line by her shield as it came flying back. Cinder hopped back and rolled her shoulder a little; she'd managed to twist just in time to take the blow there rather than the back of her head. "Clever girl. That would've hurt."
A little grin came over Pyrrha. "I try, " she replied while shifting her spear into sword mode. She leapt into the attack, leading with her shield arm and slashing at Cinder's wrist when she attempted to counter.
"I didn't realise you liked things so rough, my dear." Cinder grinned, her eyes shimmering in that suggestive way of hers. "I'll have to remember that for later."
Pyrrha's face flushed at the comment, even beyond the colour brought on by the exertion of their mock-battle. "Th-that's not what I meant!"
An amused yet sultry laugh erupted from Cinder's throat before she pounced back in, her blades locking with Pyrrha's sword and shield. "So you say." She held Pyrrha's gaze over their crossed weapons, close enough to feel the breath on her skin. She always did enjoy the way her words made Pyrrha squirm. "You haven't answered my question, though." She pushed back and tried to cut at Pyrrha's head but found herself blocked, having to settle instead for a kick at her midsection that drove the two of them a few paces apart. "What have you been thinking about?"
Pyrrha grunted at the kick, giving Cinder a look to which Cinder shrugged just a touch. "You."
"As you should."
Pyrrha scoffed. "Not like that." She tipped her head a little in acknowledgement at Cinder's doubtful look . "Alright, yes, like that too, but not only like that."
"My my, you must think about me all the time."
Pyrrha's face, which had begun to return to its normal colour, went back to crimson. "Cinder!"
Cinder gave a throaty chuckle as they circled one another. "You're making this far too easy."
Pyrrha huffed, then darted in once more, feinting a thrust to the leg only to reverse into a back edge cut at the opposite side of Cinder's head. Cinder barely got her sword up in time, deflecting the blow into a graze at her aura. She riposted with her other blade but was overpowered by Pyrrha's shield, which slammed into her face and sent stars skittering across her vision.
"Easy, huh?"
Cinder backpedalled and shook her head, put on the defensive in a desperate flurry of parries. "Point taken." She leapt over a low slash, kicking off from Pyrrha's shield to buy distance. "What have you been thinking about then?"
"You."
"Yes, but-"
"Us. Back when we met. You know, I thought you were suspicious back then." Pyrrha flipped her sword to rifle mode and fired off a pair of shots.
Cinder tensed. Had her secret finally come to light? Thrown off by Pyrrha's words, she took one of the shots full on for it with a little grunt. "Suspicious? How so?"
"You were just so… mysterious. About everything." Pyrrha's rifle returned to sword form as she came in once more.
"I wasn't that mysterious," Cinder protested, and it was Pyrrha's turn to wear that doubtful look. "Besides, a little mystery gives a girl spice, don't you think?"
"If that's your idea of spice, remind me never to eat your Vacuan chicken." Pyrrha's sword clashed with Cinder's, whose paired blade flashed out over her shield to nick at her aura. "I really thought you were up to no good."
"I was."
Pyrrha blinked and stepped back.
"I broke in and stole your heart, didn't I?"
Pyrrha rolled her eyes slightly. "That isn't what I meant."
Cinder took the chance of Pyrrha's hesitation to rush in once more. She needed to get Pyrrha's thoughts off this subject… truth be told, she had been up to no good last year. She came to Beacon with the goal of bringing the school — and Vale entirely — to its knees, but the closer the date drew, the more reluctant she'd grown to see her plan to fruition. Her former mistress would call her soft, and perhaps she was right, but in infiltrating the school she'd made the fortunate mistake of spending enough time around Pyrrha and her friends that she found something she wanted more than stolen power. She'd found herself inexorably drawn to Pyrrha in particular, so much so that she'd invited her to the school dance and begun dating her shortly thereafter. In the end she'd let the tournament that was supposed to be the catalyst of Beacon's destruction play out to its natural conclusion, sent her co-conspirators off with a warning, and officially transferred to the school, not because she wanted anything it had to offer, but simply to stay near Pyrrha.
"And now?" Cinder hoped the intensity of her attacks would cover for the apprehension in her voice.
"Now I know better. Now I know you. You changed my life in a way I never thought possible." Pyrrha smiled, the brilliant, disarming smile that had altered Cinder's destiny.
She didn't seem to catch it. Good; the dark talons gripping Cinder's heart relaxed. They clashed once again and she dragged Pyrrha's shield down, the sword in her other hand meeting Pyrrha's centimetres from both of their faces.
"I do still wonder, though. Why did you-?" Pyrrha's words were cut off by a squeak as Cinder leaned in the rest of the way and fiercely claimed her lips.
"I don't like to talk about my past; you know that," Cinder purred when she pulled back and broke the kiss. "I haven't had the kind of life I want to remember."
Pyrrha was left breathless, just starting at Cinder momentarily before recovering enough to step back and lower her weapons. "I'm sorry. I didn't mean to-"
"It's fine." Cinder lowered her blades as well, and after a few moments when it became clear their little sparring session was over, sheathed them. "I just… want to put that behind me. Leave the past where it belongs."
Pyrrha gave her a tight smile, her eyes remaining apologetic as she likewise stowed her weapons. "I understand. I won't bring it up again, all that matters is who and where you are now. With me." Her smile grew affectionately as she stepped close enough to lay a hand on Cinder's shoulder. "Why don't I make it up to you?"
"What do you have in mind?"
Pyrrha cocked her head a little and arched a brow. "Dinner? On me."
Cinder's grin returned. "That wouldn't have been my first thought, but it'll do."
Pyrrha laughed melodically, stepping closer still to embrace Cinder and whisper in her ear. "Patience, love."
Her words sent a shiver down Cinder's spine despite the warmth of her breath. "If I must."

I noticed there’s no Dawn Pokemom Diamond and Pearl pokepastas I could find, so I wrote up a concept, what do you think?
Start Setting: Eterna Forest.
Pokémon Team: Togekiss, Buneary, Piplup, Mamoswine, Patrisu.
Other Pokémon: spiritomb.
Important Items: cleanse tag.
Important places: the grand underground, route 209, the Old Chateu.
Story ideas: Dawn is a sentient game protagonist who’s cartridge’s save got wiped, as the player had beat the game and lost interest in Pokémon shortly after. She wiped the save to give the cartridge to her Brother, who proved a lack of interest, and ended up, without realizing the value of a Pokémon cartridge and figuring the game was so old no one would want it, threw it away. Dawn was in the denial stage of grief when the story begins. Dawn has her regular animie team, and from the dump, begins playing the game (which was still in the DS it’d been thrown out in,) and obtaining her team of Piplup and Buneary. Quickly, When she entered the old chateau, she ended up doing some reading on the books inside. Reading one about Spiritomb, a ghost Pokémon with a base stat total of 485, much higher then the average BST of around 430-450. Intrigued, and realizing her lack of Ghost Pokémon, she saw Spiritomb’s lack of weaknesses, and it’s stats, for, while it had low speed, 92 attack, 108 defense, 92 sp. attack and 108 sp. defense, meaning it could take most hits it would face from having a low speed stat. It was a obsidian canon that had a 20 second count down before it fired. Dawn wanted Spiritomb as her ace.
Dawn built up the rest of her team, a Togekiss, a Patrisu and a Mamoswine. After defeating Candice, she goes to find her Spititomb. Finding the Odd Keystone, she meets Spiritomb. The Spiritomb calls her into the Hallowed Tower. At first, Dawn is hesitant, but the Spiritomb convinces her to follow it into the tower, with promises of joining her. Promises of power, promises of championship. Dawn climbs into the tower, leading deep into the grand underground. Sporitomb starts taking about some of the people it’s made up of. Talking of their lives. Talking of their reasons and their justifications, but never how they were captured. Eventually, the collective hive-mind, in sync, reveals they too are sentient. They too have been betrayed. They reveal they’re not some code that was messed up in the process. They’re not characters who miss they’re players. In fact, they’re the opposite—— they are humans. They were alive once, and they offer to show her the old player. Dawn, while yes, missing her player, refuses, and tries to escape. Spiritomb won’t let her leave, however, and he takes her beloved starter hostage. Dawn, terrified, grabs the cleanse tag she had from Pokémon Tower, and throws it at Spiritomb, weakening it. She fails takes her Piplup back, puts it in its pokeball, and throws it far away as possible.
Spiritomb gives Dawn a choice:
She can join Spiritomb in its eternal torment as punishment for losing to it, or her old player can pay the price. Regardless, the Spiritomb will release her Pokémon back to the overworld, as it has no use for them.
Dawn sacrifices herself for her beloved player.
This a feelspasta/creepypasta hybrid talking about grief, love, denial, but also what might happen when a game stops being played. What happens when the protagonist grows a liking to its player? What happens when it’s abandoned?
Since Dawn was the player character, the wipe didn’t affect her, she simply was transferred to the next file. The Pokémon weren’t so lucky.
Fatal Flaw: curiosity, denial.
Best quality: Loyalty.
