Replaying omori and I’ve come to some important Kel Conclusions.

Kel is quite a bit more humble and responsible than I thought at first (in the real world sections anyways)

Kel observations: -doesn’t like Sunny having a knife, takes it away from him -doesn’t like to shoplift -helps cook dinner at basil’s house, doesn’t mind that it’s just plain soup -doesn’t let Sunny walk out into traffic -reluctant to fight others; in general not as impulsive as he was as a child. Avoidant of danger.

I’m guessing some of these details hint towards his upbringing, and probably influence from Hero too. Kel is more multifaceted than I thought, he certainly has more personality traits than just being goofy and sillay.

ok time to promo my year-old indie game. anyways heres the overworld music i wrote for it

I’m suspicious of the idea that Sunny let nobody into his house for four years.

In fact, I’m 99% certain Sunny DID let someone into his house again, once, shortly after Mari’s death: Basil.

Look at this cutscene:

“These are all of our memories together. They’re a little sad now. But we should be happy that they happened at all.”

This is real world basil. The dialogue shows it’s after Mari’s death. I suspect Sunny didn’t imagine this scene; it’s a very specific memory. He was looking through Basil’s photo album with him one last time.

And this cutscene is really important too

“When you stood here before… did you see it too? Something behind you”

Again this seems too much like an actual interaction they probably had, not just a thing made up in Sunny’s brain. Basil is constantly talking about Something when he and Sunny are alone together in the real world sections.

Also, we know someone scribbled out certain photos from the photo album at some point, and we know it was probably Sunny. (Various other people have posted about that theory before)

How could he have done that if he never left his house OR let anyone in for four years? I think he did it on this specific visit with Basil.

What really sells it for me though, is the scribble effect at the end of the first cutscene I mentioned:

We know Sunny’s bad at answering his door, but maybe Basil just walked into his house without knocking on this specific day. (Maybe that’s even why Sunny keeps the door locked later on).

(Note: i am extremely sleep deprived so i might be misinterpreting the Whole Game .)

does anyone know why there is such a strong fanon conviction that dirk strider is transmasc? im not complaining because i absolutely love trans dirk but i am curious about the origins. i never figured out the origin for the dirk-is-trans headcanon other than just, yknow, dirkvibes
