Okay so I know I’m supposed to be working on the Power Rangers AU (and I still am!), but for ‘family time’ during quarantine we’ve been watching the Marvel movies. This is the second time I am watching Iron Man and I would like to know if anyone would actually like an Iron Man AU. I’m thinking it would be like this:

Logan as Tony Stark: follows basically Tony’s storyline in Iron Man 1. Was in the closet before getting kidnapped but comes out after everything. And while he’s less of a ‘playboy’ he’s still a slut. . . becuase I said so.

Patton as Pepper Potts: again follows Pepper’s storyline in Iron Man 1. Was out the whole time and it’s kind of a big deal. Also illiteration in the name! Plus wholesome but kinda sassy Patton is the content I love.

Roman as (I think) Rhodes: he kinda fits the type of person Rhodes is and will play a more important part.

Not sure who Virgil would be but open to suggestions!

I don’t really like making Deceit Obedia cause that just seems like shoe-horning him to be the villain and honestly I’m not a fan of villain Deceit. But then again he doesn’t have to be in at all. (Or he could be Nick Fury!! I just realized that)

So, obviously I’m not the first person to think of this AU but I don’t think there’s enough content of it. If you have a really awesome Avengers or Marvel AU recommendation please send it my way! It was on a rainy day that in a corner bar, hidden among most, and more of a local brewery that you could only hear from friends of friends of locals, or if the locals told you of it.

Chesterfield wasn’t perhaps a very tight knit community, but the town still held its own secrets close to heart, well at least some.

And in this little bar, the local hunter, Dave as he was known about the parts, was drinking from a shot glass, downing it all in one, and giving out a satisfied sigh as the whiskey that the barman held specifically for any hunters that came about the parts, either the local flavor, like Dave. Or those passing trough.

Hunters were always welcome at the Daggerdown bar.

A little country song was playing on the beat up digital player, still connected to what was a cloud of many a old song that had been either dragged from whatever world it belonged to, the records of course, replicated, sold, then distributed among the wild net and it’s tangled webs of societies, media distribution and whatnot.

The song seemed to be an old one, or at least from the era it came from, with what was called edm.

The canine hummed along and bobbed his head to the music and seemed to be enjoying himself.

“Quite the music we got today Obe.” Dave said to the barkeep, Obediah, or fully known as Obadiah Hills. Or known to his friends, Obe or Obi.

Obe, a man in his early 50’s, with graying hair set in a ponytail, making the man’s muscled frame and crows feet eyes, worn from stress in some job he had before he came to the bar. His face coming to a smile as he looked over to Dave.

“Aye tha’s true.” He said with a husky smokers voice, cleaning a glass for Dave as he placed another shot in for him again and placing it on the table. “You know that darned thing. Plays what it pleases most of the time.” He said and gave a wry chuckle, that sounded roughly like a couch if you didn’t know Obediah well enough.

“Oh that’s true.” Dave said as he downed down the whiskey again, giving another sigh as he placed the glass down, grinning at him. “But that’s part of the Daggerdown. The old digi is part of the charm. Always something new everytime you come in.” He said to him, and both shared a knowing chuckle. The digi player was a miracle of it’s own that it was still working, and in return it always played something at random. Someone saying it was stuck permanently on shuffle.

Dave enjoyed a bit more of the music, asking for some salted nuts and a beer while he was there. Dave did enjoy the whiskey shots, but they tended to give you an early rise in the alcohol, so two or three shots were enough to get a nice buzz going, so Dave wanted to eat a bit and mingle with a beer.

Familiar faces came to greet him, some old compatriots from the monster hunter gig, most hunters teamed up and stayed in groups. But Van Helsing, no. He was known as the lone hunter, a lone gunman, which many said was crazy, you stayed in a group. A partner at your side increased your chances of survival, and this was true. But Dave, at least for now. Had managed to survive on his own. Trough pure luck, or just pure stubbornness. Some of the older hunters joked that Dave had inherited his father’s tendency to be too stubborn to die. And you could again, say that it was true.

Dave didn’t know, nor care.

As Dave sat and spoke with some of his pals from town, a few of the younger people came in, Dave looked over, seeing if he recognized anyone, and no face rang a bell. Meaning they were out of towners, probably some of the older teens coming to spend time away from the family if they had earned in vacation, or had gotten spring break. Wait, was that about? Dave couldn’t remember, he didn’t keep track.

Dave looked them over again, making sure to remember their faces, you never knew if you ran into someone on a op.

One guy was a strapping young man, hazelnut brown eyes looking around, blonde hair cut short, and wearing a jacket with his high school logo on it, which he didn’t quit recognize. It looked like a fat raccoon baring its fangs. He looked like a jock. At least from the outfit he got that impression.

The two others that were following him, a Bear, a black bear for that. Wearing the same outfit and having a paler brown color in his eyes, and looking on the scruffier side. And a Hyena, same outfit, but he had piercings and had dyed his mane pink, and one of his eyes was a silver, the other an almost moss green. Huh, weird. He wondered if that other eye was fake or simply had contacts.

As they came inside, Obe asked in his smokers voice, but had an added gruff tone. “Id’s please.” He said to them, and gave them a pointed stare which said that if they didn’t have any, he would throw them out. And Dave knew he could, at least to the blondie and pink. The bear though, he’d need to aim the shotgun at that one.

Dave went back to minding his own business and listening to the music. A nice little song he recognized and started to hum to it, nodding his head to it and letting his mind wander.

Seemed that they had given the proper ids because Obedia wasn’t throwing them out the door. Bodily or through the barrel of a gun. The two animal partners taking seats beside Dave, but he felt a hand tap at his shoulder, and giving a soft grumble he turned again, and saw it was the human.

Giving a sigh, he turned, “Yeah. Can I help you?” He asked the human, and the young man looked him over, and said, as if he already owned the place. “How about you move it cowboy. I think you’re done today.” He said, trying assert his dominance to someone he thought was either beneath him, or thought he was the local freak show. Well, his outfit was a bit out there, but he liked his outfit.

“Buddy.” Dave said with a casual shrug. “I think you better go take a seat or a booth somewhere else. Plenty to go around if you look kid.” He to him, and that seemed to get on the guy’s nerve. Probably the kid part. To Dave’s excuse, he did look like a kid to him.

The young man gave him a poke on the chest, the guy trying to be more dominant then he should. “No, I think you’ve had enough. Me and my friends want to sit here, enjoy the view. Get some booze.” He said, he looked at him, looking angry.

Now, see. Here he knew that he was probably 18, and had given fake ids. He was acting like he owned the place, a predictable jock that thought he could boss everyone around because he was hot shit at home.

Obe seemed to look like he was going to step in, but at that moment another song he vaguely recognized came to and he gave him a grin that spoke of more of confidence than this guys bravado.

Dave sat back and showed the guy one of his revolvers, and taking out the emblem that was tucked underneath his armor, his smirk speaking of what he thought of his attitude, and this was him saying, politely mind you. To fuck off.

The young man seemed to blanch as he saw the emblem and then the gun. His friends saw it too, the Hyena, whom looked like he was going to give a cackle at what was happening, either in nervousness, or to just laugh. But the laugh quickly died in his throat as he saw the gun. As for the bear, he seemed to look at him with wary, quiet caution. Having not stepped in to defend or assert dominance with his friend, which told Dave that he did this often, and it was an old subject.

“Look kid, I’ll give you this one chance. Back off, or you get led for your trouble.” He said to him in a clear calm voice. And as he spoke, the song ended, a sudden silence coming, as if the old digi player was buffering for a new song.

The silence giving tension to the air, the other patrons having gone silent at the clear show of potential terminal idiocy that was unfolding. And none there would hold Dave back if he decided to simply shoot the fucker.

The Daggerdown was its own little community, it’s own little tightly knit place where people knew each other. And most of the people here were hunters, and no one messed with a hunter, unless you really wanted to die.

“Y-yes. Sir.” Squeaked the human. All false bravado gone from his face, the color draining from it, and making it almost as pale as his blonde hair. Dave motioned for him to go, and he, and his friends, hurried off someone else.

Another song finally starting, as if the digi player had decided on a song finally, and it began playing again, something upbeat this time.

“Just another day Obe.” Dave said to the barkeep, and he gave a chuckle. “And just another idjit with a chip on ‘is shoulder, eh?” He asked as he chuckled, which prompted Dave to nod. “Yeah. Just another punk thinking he’s hot shit.” He said, and raised his class to Obe, whom clinked it with an empty one.

“Cheers Obe, for another idiot coming through.” And Obe said in return, as if this was familiar ground to them both. “Cheers, ‘oping they live smarter tomorrow then today.” He said as he chuckled.

And with that said, the rest of his evening, went without much trouble.

The Second Book Of Esdras - Also Known As - THE BOOK OF NEHEMIAS - From The Douay-Rheims Bible - Latin Vulgate

Chapter 12

INTRODUCTION.

This Book takes its name from the writer, who was cup-bearer to Artaxerxes, (surnamed Longimanus) king of Persia, and was sent by him with a commission to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. It is also called the Second Book of Esdras, because it is a continuation of the history begun by Esdras, of the state of the people of God after their return from captivity. Ch. --- Genebrard believes that the latter wrote the work. But how long must he thus have lived? and how come the lists to vary so much? C. --- We may allow that these variations are owing to the mistakes of transcribers, (1 Esd. ii. 1.) for the writer of both works was certainly inspired. Esdras lived a long time along with Nehemias; (C. xii. 35.) and he may have left memorials, as well as the latter, from which the present work seems to be compiled. H. --- Some additions have been made since the days of Nehemias, articularly C. xii. to v. 26, or at least (C.) the five last of these verses. Capel. Chron. --- The passage cited from the commentaries of Nehemias, (2 Mac. ii. 13.) is not to be found here; which shews that we have not his entire work, but only an abridgment, in which the author has adopted his words, with some few alterations. The fifth chapter seems to be out of its place, and also the dedication of the walls. C. xii. 27. Nehemias was a person in great favour at the court of Persia; and of high birth, probably of the royal family, (Euseb. Isid. Genebrard in Chron.) as most of the ancients believe that all who governed, till the time of the Asmoneans, were of the tribe of Juda. Hence he styles Hanani his brother, (C. i. 2.) and declines entering into the temple. C. vi. 11. His name never occurs among the priests; and though we read 2 Mac. i. 18. 21, jussit sacerdos Nehemias, (T.) the Greek has, "Nehemias order the priests;" iereiV: (C. Huet. D.) and the title of priest sometimes is given to laymen at the head of affairs. H. --- In this character Nehemias appeared, by order of Artaxerxes: and notwithstanding the obstructions of the enemies of Juda, rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem, and returned after twelve years to court, making a second visit to his own country, a little before the death of the king, whom he probably survived only one year, dying A. 3580, about thirty years after he had been appointed governor. C. --- In the two first chapters, we behold his solicitude for the welfare of his country, in the ten following his success, and in the last what abuses he corrected. W. --- He renewed the covenant with God, (C. ix. and x.) sent for the sacred fire, and established a library at Jerusalem. 2 Mac. i. 19. 34. and ii. 13. H.

D&D 5e Campaign

The Great War

Session 22

The party leaves the field and goes back to the castle now that it is evening. The next morning Ara delegated out things that she would like the party to do to help expedite the process of reviving her country so that they could get back on their mission. She asked Biska and Baruch to handle the children and teach people to be teachers and how to handle children so that the future generations would be ready when it was their turn to take care of things. Tinkerman was asked to handle the manual labor with a fleet of drones and golems sent by the Clockwork Empire (TCE). Rooklus and his people helped fix the harbor and get it prepared for accepting trade routes, one with his country being first of course. He also helped create irrigation and fresh water aqueduct systems. Tinkerman prayed to his god for assistance and Obedia chose to use his divine powers to create indoor plumbing and a sewage system. JJJ prayed to Tyr to help with crop growth and because he didn’t specify where, every free plot of land was exploding with ready to harvest crops, that Tinkerman’s golems quickly harvested giving the people in the country enough food to last them until they could set up a farming rotation and learn good farming techniques. After that JJJ joined Thefa and Cerena in helping train town guards and a national military in the arena. Rin prayed and Selune created a light to guide all of the ships and help safely to the country that looked like a small moon that stayed in place. Rin also provided Ara with moral support and used this entire process as a learning experience for when it is her turn to take care of her own country. Angra was sent to go work with Ara’s uncle and get their two assassin guilds working together and communicating as well as suggesting he use the time to learn from her uncle the proper way to unzip people that he had asked about. Ara then also went to see her uncle and had a long conversation with him learning a lot of info. (Info covered in Ara’s adventures two.)

The party wakes up to see Ara gone and told not to worry she was busy today preparing for the coronation that would happen in a couple of weeks. The party then went on continuing the tasks they started the day before. (Ara’s day is covered in Ara’s adventures two.) That evening everyone in the country met at the arena and on Ara’s way in to revitalize herself, as she walks by JJJ she just pins him to a wall and makes out with him for a minute grabbing herself a quick lift of energy. Ara went to the center of the arena to face her people. “I know many of you don’t know me yet however I am sure you know my last name and know what this is about. I am the last remaining heir of the Nishimoto clan and I have gotten rid of the two idiots running things previously and the shadow council that controlled them and I have passed the trial to become queen. There will be changes coming as I am sure you’ve already noticed. My friends are improving the infrastructures and systems of this nation so that it can prosper to higher heights than it ever has before. There will also be several changes to the laws of this country, first and foremost slavery will no longer be allowed, human trafficking a thing of the past. Also all previous debts financial or otherwise are hereby cleared. Everyone starts with a clean slate. All that I ask of you, my people, is to do your best everyday, find happiness in your life, bear with me as we as a country go through these changes to be what we should have been all along, and last but not least be excellent to each other.”

Ara then walks up to the royal podium and the guards bring in the criminal that killed her father, caged and covered, to the center of the arena. “The squeamish should avert their eyes, however I ask if you can stomach to look at what becomes of those who betray this country and its queen.” Ara then nods for the guards to pull away the cover. As the cover drops the crowd sees the grotesque skinless dragonborn who had killed her father weak and longing for death to escape his pain. “This man killed my father in cold blood and sought to kill me as well. However my uncle has seen to it that his punishment has been most severe as you can see.” Ara then moves down to where the criminal lays in chains now kneeling in front of the cage. One of the guards then hands Ara his sword. “I shall show you the mercy that you do not deserve, let it be known to all those who bear witness I can be a queen of mercy.” Ara then decapitated the criminal, whips the sword clean with a handkerchief and hands it back to the guard. She then goes back up to the royal podium as the guards take the man and cage away. Ara then gives her final address, “This man was an example of what will happen to those who continue to do anything in regards to slavery, anyone who harms children, anyone who abuses sexually, verbally, or physically, their fellow citizens, or anyone who fucks with the Aeldari people. The pain ends now. So please enjoy your new lives and new found freedom that all can find here in the kingdom of Aeldari.” After she walks off the podium Ara collapses and is caught by Rin who helps her limp back to her room at the castle. All the people leave the arena and go to their homes, the evening's events now over.

The next morning after breakfast the party goes out to continue their tasks. Ara slept in to recover from the blood and mana that was drained during the preparations for the coronation yesterday. Once awake she went and talked to her uncle again. (Things learned in that discussion covered in Ara’s adventures two.) That evening she showed Angra the bag her uncle gave her earlier in the day that had both their names on it. They opened it together to reveal a chest, they then opened the chest to reveal a badge, one half having Angra’s guild’s symbol the other one her uncle’s guilds symbol and a contract. The contract stated that the two bureaus would work together as one and it stated that her and Angra are the two leaders of it. Any global actions done need to be agreed on by both of them. The badge then magically attached itself to Ara’s chest piece on the left side. Everyone retires for the night. The party continued doing the same things everyday with everyone doing their tasks to improve the country and Ara neck deep in paperwork revising laws, ditching old ones, establishing new ones, meetings, lots of meetings all to get things to a point that she could leave it to be run almost on autopilot by Cerena in a few weeks.

Two weeks later, it is the day of the coronation. In front of Ara’s castle things were set up like with a carpeted aisle with the citizens roped off on either side. She proceeded down the aisle in her coronation dress while Rooklus followed behind as her personal bodyguard in his zoot suit. At the end of the aisle, Ara was sworn in and recited the oath,”I, Ara swear to protect citizens of the country as a mother would protect her newborn. I swear to return honor to my country and to have both myself and my country live by honor. I swear to destroy the country's enemies both foriegn and domestic. I swear to always have the country's best interest at heart and not repeat the mistakes of my predecessors. I also swear to follow these oaths until the day I die.” After that she places a sword in her hand and attaches an ornament to her tail. That concluded the coronation and Ara was officially now the Queen of Aeldari.

Tinkerman receives a message from his empire to verify that the docks were structurally sound for his package to be delivered. He found that they were completed and large enough for the package. He was then told it would be delivered in a week. The party continues doing the things they have been doing daily for the next week until the day his delivery arrives. He is told to have the entire party at the dock waiting for it. They see the water in the dock begin to rise a little and move away from something rising up from the water. A gigantic phallic metallic object emerges from the water and meets the cross frame with the elevated walkway that went over the dock. On the front of it is the giant red symbol for the group. Out from the top of the ship steps the speaker from TCE. The speaker looks confused for a moment as there aren’t any stairs leading to the walkway. Tinkerman asks the guys who had been working on it where the stairs are? They respond, “You asked if it was structurally sound enough for a ship to dock, you didn’t ask if it was finished.” The speaker then turns around and says something no one can make out. Then you see a few golems exiting the ship that slide down the outside of the beams leading to the dock. Then the golems grab a piece of sheet metal and act as a lift to elevate the party to the top where they walk onto the deck of the ship. Then the speaker informs the party, “Before I can leave this vessel in your hands I must first train you on how to operate it properly so get ready, class is about to begin.” To be continued...

Maybe I can't work with Aitar. If I wanted to rely on loyalty of word, I could go to somebody who isn't close to the same people I am... Ringleader warned Aitar that I would speak to him. He's been sneaky with Meenah before in the past, keeping an eye on me through other people... Asking people about me instead of asking me himself.

I am still thinking about it. The ways he's closed off to me makes me afraid.

So Youtube deleted this video. (I misunderstood what you meant btw @komsomo1ka, it was not tumblr...yet)

I am not seeing people talk about the significance of this video, so i will.

Crime minster Bibi held a conference with the hostages' families on 29th of October to assure them that he has the interest of their loved ones at heart. And no you silly-billy, carpet bombing Gaza is not endangering the hostages at all...

A sweet talker that one.

Abu Obedia (spokesperson of Hamas) has emphasized that they are willing to swap hostages in exchange for the thousands of Palestinian prisoners who have been detained with no end in sight.

Now, has Bibi actually tried to have a talk about prisoners/ hostages? No. In fact Israel has refused Hamas offer to exchange hostages before. And when Yocheved Lifsh (& another woman) were released and spoke of how well they were treated, the CNN and BBC and their goons went and started fabricating her accounts, saying her experience was "hell" and that she was beaten. When in fact she looks healthy, made a point to shake their hands before leaving, and said that she ate from their food and they'd made sure she was kept in good hygienic conditions.

But i guess being in Gaza right now is not all fun and games when you are used to living under the protection of the Iron Dome.

So far, every hostage released said they were kept in good conditions. Which is btw the rules of war in Islam. And we have various videos showing how Israel would detain children without charges (illegal under international law, aka Israel favorite asswipe) and torture them (example: Ahmed Manasra who has been in solitary confinement since 2013)

All in all, it is in not in Bibi's best interest to have the hostage exchange. For Israel, it is better for the hostages to die from the bombing and blame Hamas. Hamas, on the other hand, wants the exchange and said so explicitly multiple times. Why? See in 2011, Hamas demanded a release of 1027 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for Gilad Shalit, an Israeli soldier. And after lots of drama, Palestinian prisoners were released. We have all been focused on Gaza, we forgot the Palestinian prisoners and the fact they have been subjected to more abuse and cruelty in the past 24 days. So ... You can see why Hamas took the hostages in the first place.

Moreover, Israel has lied about what happened on October 7th. There were no "decapitated babies" and no evidence of women being raped. (and we have videos of multiple Israeli soldiers gloat about raping Palestinians)

But since Israel likes to throw that date around like it is the only significant date in history and justify killing of Palestinians in its name and invasion of Gaza, (just as America has justified killing Iraqi civilians in 9/11's name)... let's talk about it. What actually happened on Oct 7th? Why is the woman in the middle blaming Bibi and his incompetence? Saying no one helped them? How could Hamas breach the heavy security in the first place? Why did Bibi ignore Egypt's warning about Hamas attack? why did multiple hostages say that the Israeli settlers were killed in crossfire by the "IDF"?

Watch the video. Bibi has said that the video is "cruel" (Isn't he sweet?), but the women are looking way better off than the thousands of children i have seen maimed, torn, and burned. Her only problem is that she pays taxes to a liar who is willing to use her as collateral in his bloody schemes. I mean i feel for her really, such a hard fact to learn that your country is build on lies..
