I have now processed the wilbur lore stream. So I have some thoughts.
(Disclaimer: this is all about the dream smp characters. Any opinions given are o the characters and not the content creators.)
Potential spoiler warning for the wilbur lore, Ranboo's lore within it, and the Z tweets after. If you have not seen any of these, I would recommend skipping if you enjoy watching them first.
First off. I almost 100% believe that Wilbur is manipulating Ranboo here. Key word is almost.
Because they have a point. Wilbur might have changed. But he also seems not to. I am in no way an apologist to anyone in this scenario. I am coming at this as a viewer who has watched as much lore as I can handle.
And this is why I think Wilbur is manipulating Ranboo;
Wilbur has literally one person on his side right now. And that's Tommy. But Wilbur is, in no way, stupid. He knows Tommy isn't that fond of him right now. So Wilbur goes to Ranboo.
Note how he was hesitant and disapproving at first. He didn't want to, but then he found out Ranboo had everything he needed for what he wants. He notes how Ranboo isn't afraid and how Ranboo believes in him. And then he exploits that to get Ranboo's sword. He pins the blame on both him and Ranboo for the explosion, despite knowing fully that Ranboo wasn't fond of it and was hoping for as little damage as possible.
Also. That dirty look he threw at the note left by Ranboo? He didn't even give it a chance. He isn't willingly doing anything unless he gets something out of it. If he had read the note, then he'd know that Ranboo was already interested in becoming at least neutral with each other.
The two are polar opposites. Wilbur is brash and a leader to a strict side. He hides his true motives. He hides his true colors, he said it himself.
Whereas Ranboo is quiet, he doesn't stick to sides, he follows. Yet his intentions are, what appears to be, self explanatory.
So that's what I think Wilbur is doing. I think he's trying to get that same bond as pogtopia Tommy. Where the younger will do as asked. And I think Ranboo isn't trusting of Wilbur either. Note how he tried to make snowchester as uninteresting as possible? He said it wasn't that interesting, that only Tubbo lived there. That technically he was also a part of it, before switching to the antarctic with techno and Phil.
He never mentions Michael, he never mentions the nukes.
I feel like this Ranboo is also enderwalk Ranboo. But in a slightly different way.
He's not wearing armour, which I picked up on immediately. Ranboo is my most watched streamer, and he always wears armour. I've only seen him willingly take it off to go into the prison in that dream, and when visiting Michael.
Plus, he's making constant eye contact.
And when he didn't immediately say he disliked Dream? That was an instant red flag to me. He then also said his opinion doesn't matter on Dream. Which, to be honest, I feel like Ranboo regularly would do this as a form of self preservation. Ranboo was there when Wilbur said Dream was his hero. So remaining sideless, as he always does, is the best way of keeping to his belief, and also not getting on the bad side of Wilbur.
Now onto Z. Because holy crap. Z was active as hell. Also I'm gonna use zey/zem for Z. Just as a clarification.
So. Z looks into the enderwalk, and clearly zey were watching over Ranboo in this moment. This proves again that it was enderwalking Ranboo at least during some of that.
However. Zey only tweeted about the explosion. The "their" zey refer to is almost definitely the council, who told Ranboo to chose a side and not remain idle if it came to it.
The difficult thing is, why would enderwalk ranboo chose to do it? One of the lessons was literally to not leave any evidence of what he's helped with. And another was to not let anyone find out. That sign at the end disobeys both of those rules. Not to mention he disobeyed every other lesson.
I don't think enderwalk Ranboo did the explosion. I think Ranboo did it knowingly.
Enderwalk ranboo seems to stick heavily to the rules. The only person who could even possibly know what he's done is Dream. Not even Ranboo knows what he has done unless he goes into enderwalk state.
So what if, and I'm spitballing here, the graphs that Z posted shows the bridge from regular Ranboo to enderwalk. Enderwalking being purple, signifying the end, green being for the overworld.
The dot is where ranboo's mind is.
As the dot gets closer to the middle, the closer Ranboo becomes to the end/remembering what the end is.
This is why it goes purple -> green. In most languages you read from left to right.
He started in the purple, moved to the green and lost all memory of the end, but now he's going back and is getting closer to where he started.
I don't know. This is just all word vomit at this point.
