"Push & Pull" by Mayaacola is one of the very few fanfics I come back to time and time again. It never left my mind when I first read it almost 10 years ago. And every re-read it never ceases to amaze me, with its realness, rawness, humanness.

The Bigbang fandom might not be what it used to be years ago, but I still wanted to do another tribute collage to this story. Funny how for the first time I decided on pastel colors and today I'm doing the collage in such dark colors.

Despite what transpired with Bigbang these past years I still decided to create another post for the story, because more than anything this fanfic stands for Love lost and love found and what it means to finally let yourself be happy after years of denial and running away.

Sometimes in life, or most of the time, it happens that people lose their love for trivial reasons, because we're scared, because we were never taught how important it is to let yourself experience love and truly open up to another person. And the feeling of loss never really goes away. "Push & Pull" is a wonderfully crafted testament to it and unlike real life here the love comes back.

He drank a lot that night so he had to go to the washroom to throw up. He bumped into Lee Seungri by the door. Seungri went in to wash his hands and had no expression on his face + he was wearing a cap. While my friend was in the middle of throwing up, he heard people shouting outside. He didn’t catch anything that was said since he was feeling dizzy but after he was done, he finally made his way outside. He stepped out of the washroom and heard someone yelling, “Didn’t you understand anything that I said? Are my words too difficult for you? Why would you give him so little alcohol? He’s almost awake!” He looked over and was shocked to see that BIGBANG’s leader, Kwon Jiyong was the one yelling at Seungri. They both looked at my friend for a second, then Seungri turned around and started to walk away. Jiyong shouted again (to Seungri), “Ya! Where are you going?” then looked at my friend. My friend didn’t want to stay there any longer so he tried to quickly walk back into the club. He turned around to glance back and saw that Jiyong had walked over to Seungri and was hugging him from behind. When he told this to me the next day, he said their relationship was weird & even asked me if BIGBANG was having problems since the leader was shouting at the maknae (he wasn’t a VIP), but I quickly explained to him that they were not!

Seungri was 16 years old here (episode 9 of BB: The Beginning). This BaeRi hug happened just was he was kicked out of BigBang. Seungri literally had to bus by himself carrying his stuff from the dorms with him alone.

None of the other members saw him off. GD didn’t like Seungri at the start. He was probz okay with Daesung and Top as well but all four of them were particularly close to Hyunseung, preferred Hyungseung...

Only Taeyang saw Seungri off when he left. He didn’t have any of the other members. He only had Taeyang to say goodbye to.

Now ... 12 years later... Taeyang has to be on his tiptoes to give that same boy a hug...

The same boy that no one else wanted to say goodbye too.

Taeyang... thank you for being with Seungri since the beginning. You truly are an Angel.
