Needs repair

The city rents an office building for my office - the other floors offer client facing services. The building is in disrepair. Rats/mice are a problem - which admittedly is not saying much in NYC. Rats/mice are a problem even in the cleanest of buildings.

-FOUR times we have felt the entire building shake. We are on the fifth floor of a sixth floor building. The building next to us is being completely redone so we assume its a construction issue.

-The elevator was gushing water during a rainstorm. No way it would have been safe to use them. At the same time they sent an email telling us we could not use the stairs because they had flooded. So we can't use elevators or floors.

-Last Friday two large ceiling tiles (probably 2ft x 5ft long) fell directly onto someone's chair. Thank goodness they were not there.

-Due to the construction next door they closed the sidewalk. They did an enclosed structure as a pathway. I walked through to discover a man with a knife. This one was probably six weeks ago.

-Also six weeks ago the security guards downstairs saw me go into the stairwell and immediately let a man who was clearly having some kind of mental break in right after me. He was moaning/screaming very loudly. Why do we have four security guards if they are going to let someone who is clearly not mentally stable in a stairwell alone with me.

I'm normally pretty relaxed about my own personal safety but the shaking building does not feel good. I do not trust safety code to keep this building structurally sound.

All especially annoying considering I am dying to work from home. There is zero reason for me to come into this falling down building.
