The Hug 💕

With Nena in his arms, Sultan’s world quiets down. Nothing else exists, no one else matters.

She feels thinner than he remembers, her frame lighter in his embrace.

'She’s lost so much weight', he realizes, the thought hitting him like a punch. 'Did she stop eating? This is my fault. She'd been so happy when she'd gained the weight… I fucked up.'

The thought barely lingers before he feels her arms tighten around him, grounding him in the moment. His heart swells. 'She’s right here. Beautiful. Perfect.' Her scent wraps around him, warm and familiar. His resolve weakens, and he buries his face into her neck, taking her in completely.

“I’m sorry, habibi.” he whispers, his voice raw with emotion.

The words slip out before he can stop them, words he’s been holding onto for so long. But now that it’s out, doubt creeps in. Is it wrong to call her habibi? What if she’s moved on?

None of it matters. Not now. She’s here, in his arms, and for this fleeting moment, it feels like she’s his again—and he’s hers.

Nena sobbed in his arms, the accumulation of long buried hopes and pleas unearthed in an instant. It revealed something raw, bleeding, and painful that could no longer be contained.

Sultan stays quiet. He simply holds her, letting her tears soak his shirt, and offering silent comfort as she releases the emotions she’s kept locked away. He knows she needs this, needs time to process the suddenness of it all.

He’s been planning this moment since the court case wrapped up, rehearsing it in his mind a hundred times. But for Nena, it’s unexpected—overwhelming. All he can do now is be there, steady and patient, as she lets the floodgates open.

omgod imma cry. Why sultan do this, they were my favorite couple. Actually where is the simmer who made sultan?

No clue. They dipped w/o a word too so its where I got the idea from. Like I did Sultan's skin and revamped his face/body a lot so his files are still on my computer, but meh I rather just have Nena be happy (eventually) and move on to someone else.

I was never one to redo my OCs entire backstories because I like continuity so Malik is still a thing as was that entire marriage. But now she will be finding someone new and I'm excited for that

Hiiii yes this a relatively new developement so I'll repeat the story from this ask here: They are basically divorced and she has no idea where he is. After four years of marriage, she woke up one morning and he was gone with no explanation. Their only communication since then was last year (2023) through his attorney. All this came on the heels of a miscarriage, so it has left Nena somewhat traumatized.

It's been about eight months since that happened, so she's trying to move on with her life.

Oof, this is really hard because I don't currently have a favorite sim. I'll do Nena since she's gotten the most to update recently and kind of needs a reintroduction

𝑵𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒂𝒕𝒉 𝑹𝒐𝒍𝒏𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒈 💙

Nena is a first generation South Sudanese-American immigrant. She was born in Juba and moved to the United States with her brother, sister and father when she was about nine years old.

Her people are Nuer and she speaks her mother tongue, English and Arabic.

Nena recently went through a very sudden and unexpected divorce from her husband. After four years of marriage, she woke up one morning and he was gone with no explanation. Their only communication since then was last year through his attorney. All this came on the heels of a miscarriage so it has left Nena somewhat traumatized.

Nena has one son from the aforementioned marriage and his name is Malik. He will be four years old this July (2024) and is the light of her life 🥰

Naethanyl Pereira has been one of her best friends since she studied abroad in college. They both consider each other family and share many close friends.
