I can’t believe Tony stans. I came across one who wrote an overly dramatic post about what a total disappointment Steve is to Tony through all the movies and gave all the ‘instances’ where Steve failed Tony.. Except they’re either all misremembered bits of canon (the helicarrier), wild intepretations of RDJ’s micro expressions, claims that directly fly in the face of canon and so on. And they even tagged it as ‘steve wank’. And now when they got called out for all their bullshit arguments they claim the post wasn’t anti Steve, it was just an exploration of Tony Stark’s pov. 

This person also thinks Steve’s ��lie’ was ‘the fulcrum on which the final fight rested’. When pointed out that they’re trying to take away Tony’s culpability for his actions, they admit Tony is responsible for his actions but then go ahead and still insist that Steve’s answer was the fulcrum on which the fight rested.Not Tony’s murderous intent to kill Bucky, but Steve’s answer to his question. 

So their exploration of Tony Stark’s pov hinges on all of these instances where they feel Steve was a huge disappointment to Tony and hence headcanon Tony as...you know...being disappointed in Steve, but the post wasn’t made at the expense of Steve. Suuuure.

And then of course the usual bullshit -   When will the stans let go of this idea that Tony Stark, at any point, tried to compromise with anyone in CW? It was ‘my way or the highway’ from the second he showed up at the Compound with Ross in tow. He isn’t offering any compromise to Steve after Bucky’s capture either. He’s literally saying ‘sign this document or your friend dies’. That’s blackmail you ignorant dingbats. It’s illegal. Bucky’s right to aid does not depend on Steve signing anything. Steve cannot be put in prison if he doesn’t sign. No court worth its salt can convict him for what happened in Bucharest because what he did counts as self defence.

And for the thousandth time, Steve doesn’t commit some huge ~betrayal~ by not telling Tony about Zola’s insinuations about his parents deaths. He has no evidence that Zola wasn’t lying. It’s not his business to relay this information to Tony when he has no proof of it. He wasn’t hiding some extra evidence that he had. All of hydra’s secrets were dumped on the net. And the mission report of the Stark’s death was so secret, one Hydra guy had access to it and that’s who Zemo got it from. When will these idiots shut up about it and learn some basic comprehension skills?    

Oh also, literally all the Avengers know that alien invasions are a threat to the planet. They were all there to fight them when the aliens invaded for the first time you chucklefucks. Why the fuck would they think the possibility of another alien invasion is outlandish?? They aren’t dismissive or derisive of Tony’s claim that aliens could attack again. They’re dismissive and derisive of Tony trying to derail the issue from the subject of his fuckup with Ultron to how he saved NY from a nuke and saw what was out there and just knows better.

And finally, yes you idiots. If you write crap, people will criticise it. You can’t then whine about how it’s an old post and people should stop ‘complaining’. You wrote shit. So it got called out. Suck it up.
