Closed Starter for: @nxverending
Arthur was a bit embarrassed to be here if he was being entirely honest with himself. He had of course bought flowers for people over the years, but they were usually to offer condolences for a loss, or congratulations for a wedding or graduation. But buying flowers for a lady that he was taken by? Well he had never done that. As he stepped into the florist shop, he glanced around, trying to figure out what flowers Eden might like, but ultimately coming to the conclusion that there were probably very few that she wouldn't like; and somehow, that didn't make this any easier. "Excuse me!" He called over to the employee who was in the shop, his expression somewhat weary just from the very short time he'd been there. "I'm terribly sorry to trouble you, but I'm afraid I'm in dire need of your professional opinion. You see, I'm looking to buy flowers for a lady that I know, but I can't seem to decide on which flowers best express the sentiment of 'you bring light into my life in a way no one else has in a very long time.' Do you happen to have any ideas for what I should be going for?" He asked anxiously, hoping desperately that the employee would know the exact right thing for him to purchase.
#Arthur and Irvin: Thread 1#nxverending#I was originally planning on making an open ended starter and letting you pick which to reply with but then this came to me lol

where: a park in mystic grove
javed had been busy the entire day leading up to this moment, partially because he had things to do and partially because he wanted to distract himself. he had finally worked up the courage to ask noelle out, only after almost a decade of pining for them, and much to his delight they accepted. it had been difficult for him to accept the possibility of dating someone, especially after his partner had left him, so just mustering up the courage to ask them on a date had been quite the mental task for him. as a result, he had spent most of the day preparing for their date, which was going to be a picnic in one of the parks in their neighborhood.
the weather was finally nice enough that it would be pleasant to be outside and javed's daylight charm ensured that he wouldn't be hurt by the sun. it would be nice to sit in the warmth of the sun, especially with the company of his dear friend. he had asked them to meet him at 3pm and he made sure to choose a park that he knew was within walking distance for them. he's just finished setting up with a gingham blanket covering the grass and a basket full of food, all of which prepared himself, when he hears the sound of footsteps behind him and turns around.
"right on time." he comments with a smile, glancing briefly at the watch on his left hand. "you look lovely today, did you try to look nice for me? not that you don't look good on every other day as well."

they rattle off beautiful and tallulah is silent as they continued to talk, leaning an elbow on the bar and gazing at the person that had walked in. a half-smile formed on cherry-scented lips, enjoying the forwardness of this small interaction. did tallulah have a type? it could perhaps be said that the desperate and downtrodden were those she preferred, giving them small acts of mercy in the bedroom.
were they that, to? pale skin, dark hair, eyes framed by purple bags. handsome in the way the love interest in old stories were, for the judge of character rather than appearance. "there's always space for more," tallulah responded.
"homecoming then, is it? you picked an interesting time to come back,"
She was fun, Ellery already knew that they would like her." You probably heard that one enough times already but it's true. You are pretty, beautiful. " Ellery shrugs their shoulders glancing over at the stage." But I'm sure you don't need me reminding you of that fact, you look like someone that knows how captivating you are, probably have a couple of people from town wrapped around your fingers." The turn their attention back to her first looking down at the drink and then her." Would there be space for one more?"
Ellery catches the drink." All of my life, born and raised here. I did leave for a while but Ravens Peak has it's way of holding unto you, you never truly forget it."

"Well, glad to know I'm not the only one, then," Avery tells them, though there's something in their tone, that makes the wolf realize they are not here to cause trouble. He looks down at the handkerchief they handed to him, wondering if he should take it, letting it hang there in their hand for a few seconds, "I'm fine," he finally decides, taking his hand to his lips, he feels the blood on the tip of his fingers, "That was nothing--could had fucking rip his head off, now that would be a problem," Avery shakes his head, "Shit ,look, sorry I yelled at you, just--Too much happening right now," he pauses, "also you smell weird--" he can't help to let that escape, regretting it right away, the newly truned wolf adds, "No offence." @nxverending

WHO: Darrius & @nxverending
WHERE: Historical Society Booth
WHEN: Creek Fest (late September, 2024)
With a few days off from classes, Darrius found himself eager to spend time at Creek Fest, knowing that the food would be delicious, the drinks would be warm and toasty, and he could be an absolute nerd and talk to anyone who stopped by the booth about all things 'history of Merrock' which always made him happy. He was just returning to the booth when he noticed someone else settled inside, feeling a smile brighten up his face as he recognized one of the newer historical society members. "Henry, right?" he asked as he ducked inside. "Looks like we'll be manning the booth together today!"

@nxverending (irvin)
Aiden's hand paused mid-stroke of the brush, as a certain smell suddenly came to. Ever since the festival especially, all his senses seemed to have come alive -- they worked better, too well, in fact. He wasn't even sure why, or what had changed, but something inside himself had definitely been affected. The wolf figured it had to do with the possession-- Aiden imagined that having a demon's.. essence.. or whatever it was called, invade so thoroughly would bound to cause some physical effect. It had certainly left a mental impact. Or rather, exaggerated the demons he had already struggled with on a daily basis.
Helping to rebuild Raven's Peak had at least given the male something to hyper-focus on and battle those demons back. As long as Aiden had something to distract himself with -- kept himself busy, away from the isolated cabin where his thoughts and emotions consumed him -- he seemed to get through the days. The nights were another matter entirely, though. Even working himself to the bones couldn't drive away the restless nightmares that had returned in full force.
Today, he was helping to paint the front of one of the newly rebuilt front shops. But he stopped now, because he smelled something. Or rather, someone. A specific someone he hadn't seen in a while now. "Can't be.." Aiden abandoned the paint brush in the bucket, disregarding the fact he looked a bit of a messy from the blue liquid splashing on his clothes and person in places, as he followed his sense. His steps got surer, the heavier the scent became, the closer he got. And sure enough, a skinny dark-haired bespeckled demon just ladeeda'd across the road.
"Irvin!"
He was there in seconds, so happy and overjoyed to see someone he knew and cared about here of all places, that Aiden wrapped the demon into a rare gigantic bear of a hug that had the other lifted off ground even as he crushed him excitedly. "How- why- when!?" he struggled to get the questions out as he squished Irvin tightly.

he did, eyes glancing around the apartment to simply look but, not really taking anything in particular in. valentino tried to keep himself impassive, almost numb to be able to go forwards with this consultation - any leak in the facade would surely lead him to a completely breakdown.
setting himself down at the desk, he nodded at the jeweler's words. "if that's possible," valentino knew it might not be, taking a small folded piece of cloth from his pocket and producing a gold ring with gems set in a cluster, faux diamonds surrounding a very real ruby. "i want this big enough to fit me. if not, i was wondering if the cluster could be made into an earring,"
As she heard the knock at the door as well as who it was Vera waited no time opening the door." Good afternoon Mr. Juarez." She smiled stepping aside so that he could make his way inside." Please do come in. Make yourself comfortable, my desk is right over there."
The witch made her way to her desk where she had been working before." You told me in your emails that you wanted an adjustment on a small piece, correct?"

"Hey, I look myself in the mirrow everyday just fine, thank you very much!" Luka huffs, maybe more than he should but that was besides the point, "Look, buddy, I had to got to the bathroom and forgot to close it, no need to be an ass about it!" the hunter raises an eyebrow, "Well, guess that's a good thing, yeah? you don't know what I'm writting, then," Or what an old hunter named Illya wrote, but the other didn't need to know about that. "Yes, but my shift is over, that's why the whole... working on my writting, so--huh, you gonna need to get your order from someone else, 'kay?"

To tell the truth, Llewellyn wasn't clear on what he hoped to find out, but there wasn't much else to do with his time right now. Everyone kept saying that he needed to take things slowly and let himself get caught up, to not worry about his next steps until he felt comfortable trying to figure out what the rest of his life should be now... Seeing as how his initial plans had been blown to smithereens. Fine, he would take things slowly as he tried to get used to all the changes and made sure his memory was fully intact. But that didn't mean he couldn't sleuth around to find out more on what he missed, or what was written about him in his absence.
Maybe, even, there might be something to find about what might have happened. Something that could explain everything? Shoot, he didn't know. It was better to do that than sit around with nothing but his own thoughts.
Llewellyn plopped down at one of the desks and slapped a stack of old newspaper articles on top. They were all from the library archives, from the year he went missing. He was going by three months at a time for now. Llewellyn figured his story had to be in them somewhere. Maybe even multiple times with more information as it dragged on, right? He wondered how long it was before they had officially declared him a cold case? The witch couldn't imagine that his family would have given up their search so quickly-- they probably never truly did, either. Because if the roles were reversed and one of them had disappeared, Llewellyn would have torn through the earth until he found them. He was confident they hadn't stopped, no matter what the damn papers and police and general public said.
It didn't take long to find his smiling picture on one of these newspapers. Llewellyn pulled it in closer and sat forward, carefully peeling through the flimsy sheets to read what was available. Not paying attention to anything else.

Anabelle had just stepped out of her building, arms piled high with boxes when she spotted Noel up ahead. Her eyes lit up and a smile immediately appeared on her features as she called out, "Morning, neighbour!" She ambled her way down the small staircase and onto the pavement. "Where are you off to this early?" It was a stupid question as they were more than likely heading off to work, but she couldn't help but be a little distracted as she balanced the array of orders she had in her arms.

WHERE : creek fest. WHEN : september 27. WHO : closed + @nxverending.
euridyce had overheard one of the kids tagging along with a group of tourists moaning about the hay maze, calling it terribly boring, and as a staunch defender of this local festivity, she couldn’t keep her mouth shut. turning to face the kid, her own face painted like a tiger, she flared her nostrils, making her whiskers twitch. “ you know, i reckon the maze is loads better than that water park you’re on about. i know, i know! pools, right? but they don’t have what we’ve got. ” she leaned in to whisper to the wide-eyed little ones staring up at her. “ we’ve got talking scarecrows and wish-granting apples. they say if you’re well-behaved and a good kid, by the end of the night, you get as many sweets as you want! ” then, noticing the kids’ excitement bubbling up, she turned away, slipping off between the older folks until she spotted henry. “ i think i’ve promised more than merrock can actually deliver, ” confided in a low whisper, trying not to burst into laughter. “ let’s pretend i’m not standing here with a tiger painted on my face, and you didn’t show up lugging around a book. ” she turned to look at him, flashing a beaming smile. “ mind if i go with you? i hate going alone since school. they pranked me with fireworks and creepy scarecrows, and i swear i didn’t sleep for like three nights straight! ”

she was pleased to hear noelle would allow her to peek into their sketches, knowing that art was such a huge part of their life. it was something eilonwy liked viewing but, had no desire to do herself. for such a shut in, she was quite the out-doorsy type, preferring her garden to her living room. "it's a done deal,"
eilonwy shook her head. "they're very me but, they're not very date, are they?" she responded. "i can probably rope someone into doing my makeup to," she thought on it, finger tapping her chin idly. "maybe i should just buy something new?"
" Oh, but of course! I would not have it any other way." Noelle delighted in talking about the many sketches and drawings in their sketchbook, it had been one of their many passions over the years ever since their mother had gotten them a set paints. In another life perhaps they would have been a painter. " First your wardrobe and then I will tell you all about what is in here."
The vampire shakes their head, a hearty laugh escaping their lips." I promise not to comment and if I can add, grass stains are very much you so in a way you are already bringing life to your garments. That is how I see it."
