Okieeeee. Rosie Plays Neverwinter Nights 2 [Original Campaign] take 2 begins now!!!
While I kept Farja's design the same, her character background was changed to wild child because Farja is not meant to be West Harbor public Enemy #1 -- she's a troublemaker, a prankster, but she's not supposed to be malicious. Big regretti in that choice right there.
That can be a different playthrough with another character.

I started playing NWN2 today. I thiiink I played it myself too and didn’t only watch my dad play it? But either way, yeah, I’m definitely way less familiar with this game than the first. I recognize some of the characters, the Kalach-Cha’s hometown, and some parts of the harvest festival, but I have literally no idea where the story goes. It’s possible I may recognize more as I keep playing, though. I got as far as meeting Khelgar and dying on the second floor of the inn. We barely even got hurt on the first floor! So yeah I’ll have to redo that.
Also Camus has been recycled yet again, and I have somehow grown attached to Bevil and can’t shake the 妄想 that they’d be sweet as like childhood sweethearts basically. (Well, the default age for the Kalach-Cha is 21, so presumably they, Bev, and Amie are all early to mid-20s, and I was imagining them still being together when/up until the Kalach-Cha left for Neverwinter, so not strictly childhood, but.)
#and ofc he's only a prologue companion#anyway i'm currently planning on my 妄想 remaining 妄想 and not putting it to fic#i don't need to write fic#i also barely know his character#other than that he's brash at times yet overly cautious at others#and he doesn't particularly like daeghun and daeghun apparently has something against his entire family#i wonder if we learn why#i wonder if it has its roots in his wife dying…#anyways. no. not writing fic. nope.#nwn#nwn2#ebw.op#ebw plays forgotten realms

so i’m once again nostalgic about nwn2 and want to replay it. and i know it happens like every 3 years and i give up every time after leaving prologue and fighting wolves for 3 hours and remembering that not only i will have to do this for entire act 1, then i’ll get to old owl well and fight orcs for 450 hours, and my will to life just leaves me
this time i have a plan:
1. keep everyone in the party at all times, so things die faster and also i get all of the banter Content
2.boost myself immediately to like level 12, so instead of spending 2 hours watching khelgar punch 5 wolves for 3 HP a minute, I can fireball bitches and move on. also helps mitigate XP loss from keeping like 10 ppl in the party.
#i need to come up with a terrible pun name for a personal tag#neverwinter bites 2??#grand theft auto neverwinter??#what we do in the nights 2??#Neverwinter Row 2??

So we meet up with our childhood friends, Bevil and Amie, and cross the bridge only to stumble upon Georg and Orlen having a secret conversation about the state of the crops.
It's not looking good, folks.
AND WE WERE RIGHT THERE. R I G H T T H E R E that whole time. We don't get to go up to Georg and say "ummm...what the shit, Georg. WHAT DO YOU MEAN THERE'S A CROP BLIGHT???" unfortunately. Nope. Instead, it's like...we just got there at the tail end of the conversation.
I am mad disappointed my bean did not get to snoop. She totally would have.

i know everyone complains that nwn2 prologue is too long, but i’m very fond of it and i think it’s of suitable length. first of all, what, you want fun part with dialogue and skill checks to be over so you can get to hacking thru 3000 nameless skeletons??
prologue had to be extensive to teach you complex game mechanics AND to make u spend time in west harbor and get familiar with it and its people, bc later narrative bits depend on that. also, the writing is good and full of subtle character details and dynamics that are easy to miss, but there if u bother to look for them, and i like it.
