forgot abt this one. i want to say it's from january... this one was abt going through my pinned photos (evil webbed site) and sketching them in slow, deliberate strokes. different from my usual squiggly mess.

hiiii... i'm on tumblr sporadically these days (since october or sth) and since i got hired i had very little energy to do any art.

but i managed to finish one mini since then. i wanted to take better quality pics of everything i've sculpted so far but i gave them all away lol so it would be kind of difficult to do.

so here's a compilation of what i've figured out so far🤏

they're all made of air dry clay and painted with acrylic paints... (though i'm discovering that the paints made with painting minis in mind work best. so i might switch brands soon). i also varnish them with matte acrylic medium.

once again in an art funk, the state of i'm unable to paint and i will never draw anything ever again.

i sculpted a few figurines. worked on a couple of dolls too.

i should take good quality photos and post some of my works... (if i want to succeed at it i think i need a structure. use the journal again. set a time to do it. make it a regular occurence. same with art. if i can't do shit then maybe do some fucking studies. work on composition. draw faces. bodies. draw the emobiographical comic)

creative plans for this year include:

sculpting a small doll

finally customizing those monster high dolls i got for myself recently

painting and making hair for The Big Barbie

making a beholder figurine for my friend

other animal figurines for friends and family

crocheting something... so far im working on the world's simplest rectangle that is supposed to become a hat (i'm learning crocheting bcs i want to eventually make clothes for my dolls)

drawing several of my projects that i keep forgetting i want to make: a selfportrait as an employee rendered as a wound man; monster high but masc; au where there was a polish fashion doll and it was a big brand

i want to try making paper mache masks...

i need to learn blender. either make something for the sims 2 or i could sculpt lowpoly animals or someshit

design and print stickers (probably barbie themed or sth)

sculpt pusheen...

sculpt a sylvanian baby... perhaps make a sylvanian sicko

finishing a portrait for gossamer so i can put it in game...

i still have those loose sims2 projects going on... remaking video game characters + making low effort custom content for them. except it's a lot of effort turns out.

first line shouldn't have been a bullet point but editing text using touchpad only (hell issues with mouse) is difficult

i could also add "i should learn how to sew" or "i should finally make that miniature furniture for my doll-samael" and also "i should really start reguarly taking photos of the stuff i make" but those are tall orders.

also. should go through my notebook and see other ideas i noted down. i need to keep things in one place bcs everyday i wake up and forget i ever wanted to do anything.

in the last days of december i quickly drew a lineup of all of my ocs that hatched that year. (i wouldn't be able to draw so many figures in one sitting two years ago. although what you see is a version where i redrew philomena and sick-frid).

for the heights, philomena and gossamer are both tall (approaching 190cm), smedley is around 94cm. realising that i'm roleplaying a toddler-sized character has put things into perspective.

four of these guys are characters i rp as (+ one backup). five are just viddy game protagonists... you might have seen some of them on this blog before.

once again didn't post for over a month, returning with some doodles. mostly smedley, her portraits + an alternative look for her. also featuring: philomena's side profile, traces of the quickly abandoned idea to quickly sketch portraits from pics i found recently, face of a vampire doll i want to make, some sad guy that could be a potential rpg character, and a swarm that walks their wolf.

lately i've been mostly sculpting small creatures... and i want to make a doll out of wire and clay and wool rovings.

i'm trying to practice drawing what i want and sketching with more thoughtful lines instead of making a squiggly mess with cleaning it up in mind. trying to do less of "i should draw xyz in the future". unclog the mind. draw the silly ideas.

2. What's something about your OC that people wouldn't expect just from looking at them?

struggling to answer that one...

maybe that they have a sweet tooth.

4. When scared, does your OC fight, flee, freeze or fawn?

let me check sth first. okay. i think they would tend to freeze. when they were young that was their usual reaction. dissociate. not experience the harm directly.

7. What's one way your OC has changed since you first came up with them?

the very first idea was of a watcher who's more misanthropic and willing to harm people. but giving pebble one principle of valuing personal freedom meant that i had to look at their options through that lens. so they ended up being a bit more benevolent. and also ruining skaenite's plot in dyrford. later, when i was already playing poe and had a firmer image of pebble in mind i thought they will become more outwardly aggressive, gloomy and misotheistic in deadfire... but they ended up mellowing down. and read as more idealistic than cynical. that was partially due to me not really feeling my watcher in deadfire. partially also because they ended up romancing tekehu.

8. Would your OC ostensibly be able to get away with murder?

a number of slavers travelling through the grasp have died in freak accidents or disappeared under mysterious circumstances. unsolveable cases.
