Key Practices Taught in Medicine-Free Life Training Courses
Medicine-free life training courses teach essential practices for achieving wellness naturally, focusing on lifestyle changes and holistic approaches. Key practices include mindfulness and stress management techniques, which help reduce anxiety and improve mental clarity. Nutrition education emphasizes whole foods and nutrient-dense diets to boost immunity and energy levels, promoting a balanced, medicine-free approach to health. Regular physical activity is also encouraged, with an emphasis on natural, low-impact exercises that build strength, flexibility, and resilience. Detoxification techniques and breathing exercises support internal health and balance. These courses aim to empower individuals with tools and knowledge to address and manage health concerns naturally, building a foundation for long-term well-being without reliance on medication.
What are Medicine-Free Life Training Classes? An Introduction
Medicine free life training classes focus on achieving wellness and health naturally, without relying on pharmaceuticals. These classes emphasize preventive care and natural practices like holistic nutrition, stress management, and body-mind balance. They are ideal for individuals seeking alternatives to medication for managing daily health and well-being. By attending these classes, participants learn techniques to boost immunity, improve mental clarity, and achieve a balanced, healthier lifestyle. Medicine-free life training is based on the idea that the body has inherent self-healing capabilities that can be nurtured through mindful practices.
Holistic Nutrition: Fueling the Body Naturally
A key component of medicine-free life training classes is learning about holistic nutrition. Participants are educated on how food impacts both physical and mental health, with an emphasis on nutrient-dense, whole foods. Unlike typical dietary programs, holistic nutrition is about achieving overall balance, understanding the body’s needs, and creating a sustainable diet rich in natural vitamins and minerals. Students learn the role of specific foods in boosting immunity, supporting digestion, and increasing energy levels. By adopting these nutritional practices, many find that they can maintain better health without the need for medicinal supplements.
Mindfulness and Stress Management Techniques
Stress is a common trigger for a variety of health issues, and medicine-free life training classes prioritize mindfulness and stress management. These techniques include meditation, breathing exercises, and guided visualization, which help participants manage anxiety and build emotional resilience. By practicing mindfulness, individuals learn to reduce stress naturally, leading to better sleep, improved concentration, and enhanced mental well-being. Many find that managing stress in this way significantly reduces their dependency on medication for issues like anxiety and insomnia, making these classes valuable for mental and emotional health.
Detoxification and Cleansing Practices for the Body
Detoxification is another focus area in medicine-free life training classes. These practices help rid the body of toxins accumulated from processed foods, environmental pollutants, and stress. Common detox techniques taught in these classes include herbal teas, fasting, and guided cleanses, which support liver function and enhance the body’s natural cleansing processes. By integrating detox practices, participants can experience increased energy and a stronger immune system. Learning these methods in a structured, guided environment helps individuals develop routines that reduce dependency on over-the-counter medications and support long-term health.
Natural Physical Activity: Building Strength and Flexibility
Medicine-free life training classes also emphasize natural physical activities like yoga, tai chi, and low-impact exercises to build strength, flexibility, and resilience. These activities support cardiovascular health, joint mobility, and overall body balance without the need for medications or high-intensity routines. Participants are encouraged to listen to their bodies, focusing on exercises that energize rather than exhaust. This approach to fitness is sustainable and beneficial for those with chronic pain or limited mobility, offering a balanced way to improve physical health without relying on pain medications or supplements.
The Importance of Sleep and Restorative Practices
In these training classes, sleep and relaxation are regarded as crucial to overall health. Participants learn how rest is a natural healer, allowing the body to repair itself and recharge. Restorative practices, such as evening meditation, calming rituals, and sleep-enhancing foods, are introduced to support quality sleep. Medicine-free life training stresses that restful sleep is a pillar of good health, often reducing the need for sleep aids or stimulants. By learning and implementing these techniques, individuals are more likely to achieve a stable, healthy sleep cycle that aids both mental and physical well-being.
Mind-Body Connection: Tapping into Self-Healing Abilities
One of the fundamental teachings of medicine-free life training classes is the mind-body connection, emphasizing that mental well-being and physical health are interconnected. Classes teach self-awareness techniques, enabling participants to understand how emotions and thoughts influence physical health. Practices like affirmations, journaling, and gratitude exercises foster a positive mindset, empowering individuals to improve their health by tapping into their self-healing potential. This holistic approach can help reduce the frequency and severity of physical symptoms caused by stress, anxiety, or emotional imbalances, supporting a life without dependency on medication.
Conclusion:
Medicine-free life training classes provide a holistic approach to wellness, focusing on natural methods and lifestyle changes to enhance health and reduce reliance on medication. From holistic nutrition and detoxification to stress management and the mind-body connection, these classes empower participants to take charge of their well-being. By embracing the practices learned in medicine-free life training, individuals can cultivate sustainable habits that support long-term health, allowing them to lead fuller, more balanced lives. As they integrate these techniques, many find that a medicine-free approach offers powerful, lasting benefits, helping them achieve optimal health naturally.

Whether you’re aiming to shed a few pounds, increase your energy, or simply add more nutritious foods to your diet, the 21-Day Smoothie Diet is the perfect way to achieve your goals. With easy-to-follow recipes, a variety of flavors, and the added bonus of convenience, this diet makes healthy eating something you’ll actually look forward to!
What is the 21-Day Smoothie Diet?
Tumblr media
The 21-Day Smoothie Diet is all about making healthy eating simple, delicious, and doable. Over the course of three weeks, you'll swap one or two of your meals each day for a homemade smoothie filled with fruits, veggies, and other nutrient-packed ingredients. The goal? To boost your overall well-being, increase your energy, and support weight management—all while enjoying flavorful, refreshing smoothies.
A typical day on this diet starts with a smoothie for breakfast—think a blend of leafy greens, fruits, and healthy fats to jumpstart your day. By lunchtime, you’ll be ready for another smoothie that keeps you feeling full and satisfied without the heaviness of a traditional meal. For dinner, you have the freedom to enjoy a balanced meal of your choice, allowing you to still indulge in your favorite dishes while keeping the overall plan in place.
The best part? Each smoothie is crafted to provide essential vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. Whether it’s a green smoothie bursting with leafy greens or a fruity mix of berries packed with antioxidants, the variety ensures you never get bored while hitting all your nutritional targets. It’s flexible, delicious, and fits into just about any lifestyle—making it easier than ever to adopt healthier eating habits.
Why Smoothies? The Health Benefits
Why opt for smoothies? They’re not only incredibly versatile, but they also pack a punch when it comes to health benefits. These nutrient-dense drinks provide a powerhouse of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants that boost your immune system, improve digestion, and give you lasting energy.
By regularly sipping on smoothies rich in leafy greens, fresh fruits, and superfoods, you’re giving your body the nutrients it needs to thrive. Spinach provides iron and fiber, while berries deliver antioxidants that fight free radicals. Add in ingredients like chia seeds or flaxseeds for an extra dose of omega-3s, and you’ve got a delicious, balanced meal that keeps you feeling energized and satisfied throughout the day.
Another major plus? Smoothies are quick and convenient. In our fast-paced world, it’s hard to find time to prepare a healthy meal. With smoothies, you can whip up a nutritious blend in minutes—perfect for busy mornings or on-the-go snacking. Plus, the endless variety of smoothie recipes means there’s always something new and exciting to try!
How to Start the 21-Day Smoothie Diet
Tumblr media
Getting started on the 21-Day Smoothie Diet is easier than you think. First, stock your kitchen with a variety of fresh fruits, veggies, and smoothie essentials like almond milk, protein powder, and chia seeds. A quality blender is your best friend here—one that can handle everything from frozen berries to leafy greens.
With your kitchen prepped, dive into the smoothie-making process with some simple yet delicious recipes. Start your day with a Green Machine Smoothie, blending spinach, green apple, cucumber, and a splash of lemon juice. This nutrient-packed blend is refreshing and energizing. For a midday treat, try the Berry Bliss Smoothie, combining strawberries, blueberries, Greek yogurt, and honey for a sweet, antioxidant-rich boost.
The key is to mix things up! Experiment with different fruits, veggies, and add-ins like flaxseed or protein powder to keep your smoothies interesting and packed with nutrients. Don’t hesitate to get creative—smoothies are one of the easiest meals to personalize to your tastes.
Tips for Staying on Track
Staying engaged with the 21-Day Smoothie Diet is crucial for seeing the best results—and having fun along the way! One way to keep things exciting is to explore new flavors and ingredients regularly. Try tropical fruits like mango or pineapple for a refreshing twist, or throw in a handful of herbs like mint for an extra burst of flavor.
Creating a smoothie rotation based on specific health goals is another great strategy. Dedicate one week to detox smoothies loaded with greens and citrus, and the next week to energy-boosting blends with bananas and oats. By focusing on different benefits, you’ll keep the diet fresh and engaging.
And don’t worry if life gets busy—smoothies are designed to be flexible. If you’re short on time, prep your ingredients ahead of time. Store them in the freezer, and simply blend when you’re ready. This not only saves time but ensures that you always have a healthy meal on hand, no matter how hectic your schedule gets.
Remember, the goal is progress, not perfection. If you miss a day or slip up, don’t stress! The 21-Day Smoothie Diet is all about creating healthier habits for the long term, so enjoy the process and celebrate your successes along the way.
Real-Life Success Stories
The results of the 21-Day Smoothie Diet speak for themselves. Jessica, for instance, saw a noticeable boost in her energy levels after just a few days on the diet. "I felt so much more awake in the mornings and didn’t need my usual afternoon coffee to stay alert," she shared.

Eco-Friendly Yoga: Integrating Sustainable Practices into TTC in Varkala
Introduction
Varkala, a serene coastal town in Kerala, is renowned not only for its spiritual ambiance and breathtaking landscapes but also for its growing reputation as a hub for Yoga Teacher Training Courses (TTC). As yoga practitioners increasingly seek to align their lifestyle choices with the principles of yoga, eco-friendly and sustainable practices have become an integral part of the TTC experience in Varkala. This shift reflects a deeper commitment to living in harmony with nature, a core tenet of yoga itself.
Why Eco-Friendly Practices Matter in Yoga TTC
The essence of yoga is unity—unity of the body, mind, and spirit, and also unity with the environment. In an era where environmental degradation is a pressing global issue, incorporating sustainable practices into yoga TTCs is not just a trend; it's a necessity. For many, yoga is a path to personal well-being, but it also extends to the well-being of the planet. By embracing eco-friendly practices, TTCs in Varkala help students cultivate a holistic lifestyle that respects both the self and the Earth.
Sustainable Accommodation: Living Close to Nature
One of the first steps in integrating eco-friendly practices into a TTC is the choice of accommodation. Many TTC centers in Varkala are now opting for sustainable living spaces that minimize environmental impact. These accommodations often include:
Eco-friendly buildings made from natural materials like bamboo, clay, and recycled wood, which reduce the carbon footprint.
Solar-powered facilities that harness the abundant sunlight of Kerala to provide energy for daily needs, reducing reliance on fossil fuels.
Water conservation systems, such as rainwater harvesting and greywater recycling, ensure that water use is minimized and sustainable.
Living in such eco-conscious environments not only reduces the ecological footprint of TTC participants but also fosters a deeper connection to nature.
Organic and Locally Sourced Nutrition
Nutrition plays a crucial role in yoga, as it directly impacts both physical and mental well-being. In line with sustainable practices, many yoga TTCs in Varkala offer organic and locally sourced meals. This approach has multiple benefits:
Support for local farmers: By sourcing ingredients locally, TTC centers contribute to the local economy and reduce the environmental impact of food transportation.
Healthier eating: Organic produce is free from harmful pesticides and chemicals, promoting better health and vitality for yoga practitioners.
Waste reduction: Many centers practice zero-waste cooking, where every part of the ingredient is utilized, and food waste is composted.
These practices ensure that the nourishment received during the TTC is not only beneficial for the participants but also for the planet.
Sustainable Yoga Gear and Apparel
Yoga TTCs in Varkala are increasingly encouraging students to choose sustainable yoga gear and apparel. This includes:
Eco-friendly yoga mats made from natural materials like jute or cork, which are biodegradable and non-toxic.
Sustainable clothing crafted from organic cotton, bamboo, or recycled fibers, which reduces the environmental impact of textile production.
Reusable water bottles and containers to minimize single-use plastic waste.
By using sustainable products, students are encouraged to carry the principles of eco-friendly living beyond the TTC and into their daily lives.
Mindful Practices: Less Is More
A key aspect of integrating sustainability into yoga TTCs is the adoption of a minimalist mindset. Yoga teaches the principle of 'aparigraha,' or non-possessiveness, which can be interpreted as living with only what is necessary. This can be practiced in various ways during a TTC in Varkala:
Digital detox: Reducing screen time and unnecessary gadget use, thereby lowering energy consumption and fostering a deeper connection with the present moment.
Minimalist packing: Encouraging participants to bring only essentials, which reduces the weight and environmental impact of travel.
By embracing these mindful practices, TTC participants learn to value simplicity and reduce their overall ecological footprint.
Conclusion: A Holistic Approach to Yoga and Sustainability
Eco-friendly yoga is not just about practicing asanas on a biodegradable mat—it's about cultivating a lifestyle that honors the interconnectedness of all life. The integration of sustainable practices into Yoga Teacher Training Courses in Varkala is a reflection of a broader movement towards conscious living. As more yoga practitioners choose to embark on their TTC journey in Varkala, they not only deepen their practice but also contribute to a global shift towards sustainability.
By choosing an eco-friendly TTC, you’re not just training to become a yoga teacher; you’re committing to a way of life that nurtures both the self and the Earth. As you deepen your understanding of yoga, you also become a steward of the environment, embodying the true spirit of yoga—unity in diversity, and harmony with nature.

Lemon water - Lets talk about it!
Tumblr media
(not my image!)
If you're chronically online like I am, you've probably seen the 'that girl' trend of drinking lemon water and all the vast health benefits it possesses.
I've seen benefits listed as facilitating digestion (maybe), preventing kidney stones (maybe due to citric acid content - benefits listed by the NHS), and revitalising the skin so well that you make a newborn baby's skin look dry.
Okay maybe not that last one, but there's still a potential for benefits right? Let's talk about it.
Nutritional benefits of a glass (150ml) of water reported by bbc goodfood is listed as:
4kcal/16kj
0.1g protein
0.8g carbohydrate
65mg potassium
18mg calcium
Headlines have reported lemon water playing a massive role in weightloss, 'alkalizing the body', and detoxing the body. I'm not here to talk about all that since there's very limited studies I can find that support these suggestions (and I'm a lady of science!) so let's list the actual benefits we know of.
Hydration - we can all benefit from a bit of hydration, its good for your organs, your skin and your bones. The NHS reports that an adult human should be drinking between 2 and 3 litres of water a day (that's a lot of water!) if adding some lemon is going to help you drink more water, do it!
Vitamin C - keeping up with vitamins your body needs is always a great idea, as long as it's in moderation of course. There's claims that vitamin c can help support the immune system and shorten symptom duration of the common cold in healthy people (only one study found this!) but I wouldn't call them reasons to start dirnking lemon water. A little vitamin c never did anyone any harm, look at what it did to scurvy!
MAY support your skin - The American Journal of Clinical nutrition documents some evidence that vitamin c can improve skin condition due to the protective compounds it contains, vitamin c is also said to help the body produce collagen which contributes to skin integrity
MAY aid digestion - This point may be subjective and certainly seems dependent on the person, some people have reported an improvement in their digestion after drinking a glass of lemon water in the morning - where are my poor digestion girlies at?Because at this point, I'm willing to try anything!
MAY help prevent kidney stones - So there's a lot of factors that go into the formation of a kidney ston, including genetics (some people are unlucky) but there's some suggestion that citric acid in lemon juice can help prevent kidney stones caused by a build up of calcium oxalate.
Personally, I wouldn't take any of these claims as gospel, but if lemon water is used in moderation (just like everything) and adding lemon encourages people to drink more water, I'm here for it!
Let me know what you think!

The Benefits of Yoga and Yoga Teacher Training
Have you ever wondered why yoga has become so popular worldwide? It's not just a trend; yoga is a powerful practice that can transform your life, both physically and mentally. Whether you're looking to enhance your flexibility, reduce stress, or even explore a new career path with yoga teacher training, yoga offers something for everyone.
Tumblr media
The Origins and Philosophy of Yoga
Yoga is more than just a series of physical exercises; it's a holistic discipline that originated in ancient India over 5,000 years ago. Rooted in the Sanskrit word "Yuj," meaning to yoke or unite, yoga is all about creating harmony between the body, mind, and spirit. The philosophy behind yoga encompasses various paths, such as Bhakti (devotion), Karma (action), and Jnana (knowledge), each offering unique ways to achieve this balance.
Benefits of Practicing Yoga
Why do so many people swear by yoga? Yoga has a wide range of health advantages. Physically, yoga improves flexibility, strength, and posture. It can help alleviate chronic pain, boost immunity, and promote cardiovascular health. By promoting awareness and relaxation, yoga helps people mentally cope with stress, anxiety, and depression. It's like giving your mind a soothing, warm bath after a long, stressful day.
Different Styles of Yoga
Yoga isn't one-size-fits-all. There are numerous styles to suit different needs and preferences.
Hatha Yoga, known for its slower pace and simpler poses, is perfect for beginners.
Vinyasa Yoga involves more fluid movements, linking breath with each motion.
Ashtanga Yoga is a more rigorous style, ideal for those looking for a physical challenge.
Bikram Yoga, also known as hot yoga, involves practising in a heated room, which can enhance flexibility and detoxification.
Basic Yoga Poses for Beginners
Starting yoga can be intimidating, but it doesn't have to be. Here are some basic yoga poses for beginners to get you started:
- Mountain Pose (Tadasana): The base of all postures that are standing.
- Downward-Facing Dog (Adho Mukha Svanasana): Great for stretching and strengthening.
- Child's Pose (Balasana): A restorative pose that relaxes the body.
- Warrior I (Virabhadrasana I): Builds strength and stamina.
Creating Your Home Yoga Space
Creating a serene, dedicated space for your practice can make a significant difference. Choose a quiet area with enough room to move freely. Use a good-quality yoga mat, and consider adding elements like candles, essential oils, or calming music to enhance your experience.
Yoga and Mental Health
Yoga is not just a physical practice; it's a powerful tool for improving mental health. Regular practice can reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, improve concentration, and increase overall emotional well-being. It's like a mental detox, helping to clear out the clutter and find inner peace.
Nutrition and Yoga: A Balanced Life
What you eat can profoundly impact your yoga practice. A diet rich in whole foods, like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and grains, can provide the necessary energy and nutrients. Staying hydrated is also crucial, especially if you're practising more intense styles like Bikram or Ashtanga yoga.
Tumblr media
Getting Started with Yoga Teacher Training
If you're passionate about yoga and want to deepen your practice or help others, consider a yoga teacher training course. This transformative journey not only enhances your own skills but also equips you to teach others. It's like turning your passion into a purpose, sharing the gift of yoga with the world.
Choosing the Right Yoga Teacher Training Program
Selecting the best programme can be difficult with so many options available. Look for a program that is accredited by a recognized yoga alliance. Common Misconceptions About Yoga
There are many misconceptions about yoga that can deter people from starting. Some think you need to be flexible, but yoga is about improving your flexibility, not requiring it. Yoga is a journey, not a destination. Whether you're a beginner looking to improve your health, a seasoned practitioner seeking deeper knowledge, or someone considering yoga teacher training, there's always something new to discover. Cocaine Withdrawal Detox
Cocaine withdrawal is a challenging but crucial step in overcoming addiction to this powerful stimulant drug. Detoxification from cocaine involves the removal of the drug from the body and managing the associated withdrawal symptoms. In this article, we'll explore the process of cocaine withdrawal detox and provide insights into how individuals can navigate this journey towards recovery.
Symptoms of Cocaine Withdrawal
Withdrawal from cocaine can trigger a range of physical and psychological symptoms. Physically, individuals may experience fatigue, increased appetite, agitation, and intense cravings for the drug. Psychologically, symptoms may include depression, anxiety, irritability, and difficulty concentrating.
Duration of Cocaine Withdrawal
The duration of cocaine withdrawal can vary from person to person. Short-term withdrawal symptoms typically peak within the first few days and gradually subside over the course of one to two weeks. However, some individuals may experience a phenomenon known as post-acute withdrawal syndrome (PAWS), where symptoms persist for weeks or even months after discontinuing cocaine use.
Medical Detoxification
Seeking medical supervision during cocaine withdrawal detox is highly recommended. Healthcare professionals can provide support and monitoring to ensure safety throughout the detox process. Medications may be prescribed to alleviate withdrawal symptoms and prevent complications.
Therapeutic Support
Counseling and therapy play a crucial role in cocaine detoxification. These interventions help individuals address underlying issues contributing to their addiction, develop coping strategies, and learn healthier ways of managing stress and cravings. Support groups such as Cocaine Anonymous can also provide valuable peer support and encouragement.
Nutritional Support
Proper nutrition is essential during cocaine withdrawal detox. Drug use can deplete the body of essential nutrients, so replenishing these nutrients through a balanced diet and nutritional supplements can support recovery and promote overall well-being.
Hydration
Staying hydrated is vital for flushing toxins from the body and maintaining optimal health during detoxification. Drinking plenty of water and consuming hydrating fluids such as herbal teas and electrolyte-rich beverages can help alleviate withdrawal symptoms and prevent dehydration.
Exercise and Physical Activity
Regular exercise can help alleviate stress, improve mood, and promote physical and mental well-being during cocaine withdrawal detox. Engaging in activities such as walking, jogging, yoga, or swimming can provide a healthy outlet for managing cravings and boosting endorphin levels.
Rest and Relaxation
Getting adequate rest and practicing relaxation techniques are essential for supporting the body's natural healing processes during detoxification. Techniques such as deep breathing, meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation can help reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.
Avoiding Triggers
Identifying and avoiding triggers that may lead to cocaine use is critical for successful detoxification. Triggers can include people, places, emotions, or situations associated with drug use. Developing strategies to cope with cravings and avoid high-risk situations is key to preventing relapse.
Creating a Supportive Environment
Surrounding oneself with a supportive network of family, friends, and healthcare professionals is crucial for successful cocaine withdrawal detox. Removing negative influences from one's environment and seeking encouragement and understanding from loved ones can provide strength and motivation during the recovery process.
Alternative Therapies
Exploring alternative therapies such as acupuncture, meditation, and mindfulness can complement traditional detox methods and promote overall well-being. These holistic approaches can help individuals manage stress, reduce cravings, and enhance their sense of inner peace and balance.
Self-Care Practices
Engaging in self-care activities such as journaling, hobbies, or spending time in nature can provide comfort and distraction during cocaine withdrawal detox. Taking time to nurture oneself and prioritize personal well-being is essential for long-term recovery and relapse prevention.
Monitoring Progress
Monitoring progress and adjusting the detox plan as needed is essential for ensuring successful recovery from cocaine addiction. Regular check-ins with healthcare providers, tracking physical and mental health symptoms, and making adjustments to treatment goals can help individuals stay on track towards sobriety.
Conclusion
Cocaine withdrawal detox is a challenging but necessary step on the journey to recovery from addiction. By seeking medical support, engaging in therapy and support groups, practicing self-care, and creating a supportive environment, individuals can successfully navigate the detox process and build a foundation for long-term sobriety.

Nutrition is the foundation of longevity You've probably heard the saying, you are what you eat. And of course, everyone knows that good nutrition is the basis of healthy living. But in many communities, diet doesn't support healthspans or lifespans. That's why optimizing your nutrition is the first pillar of longevity.
Stressful lifestyles and the accessibility of food with low nutritional value cause many people in the industrialized world to make decisions that are literally shortening their lives.
Feeding your helpful microbes is a solid way to improve your health and extend your lifespan. Their preferred diet is fiber, colorful vegetables, beans, whole grains, fruit, and nuts. They also love fermented foods. Steer clear of sugar, starch, and refined oils, and limit dairy. That way, you'll keep your harmful gut microbes in check, so the helpful ones, and you, can flourish. Optimize your workouts to extend your life Imagine if there was something simple and free you could do for just 30 minutes a day to extend your lifespan by years.
Optimize your workouts to extend your life.
Well, there is. Walking. Even just the act of moving intentionally each day has a positive impact on your lifespan. And when combined with healthy eating, exercise is a powerful strategy for longevity, making it the second pillar.
Exercise helps address all the root causes of aging. It keeps your bones and muscles strong, improves your cognitive function, and reduces the risk of disease. But exercise does much more than you might realize. It unlocks the body's regeneration and repair systems, balances your hormones, including sex hormones and libido, stimulates your circulatory and lymphatic systems, which are your built-in detox systems, and also supports the health of your helpful gut microbes. All exercise is beneficial when it comes to living your longest, best life
to include 30 minutes of aerobic conditioning, at least 3 times a week. High-intensity training, like jogging, tennis, dancing, or rowing, stimulates your lymphatic system, which removes all the waste from your body that your cells make, and helps transport white blood cells around your body to fight disease. Second, mitigate the fragility associated with old age with strength and muscle mass training.
To build muscle mass, you need to add strength training to your fitness program. Build up to 3 30-minute strength training sessions a week, using resistance bands or lifting weights. If you've never done this type of exercise before, work with a trainer initially, so you can learn safely. Finally, stay limber by tending to your agility and flexibility.
Yoga is the best way to ensure you don't end up like a rusted old machine. As well as giving you ease of movement, yoga comes with a heap of other benefits that support longevity when combined with breathing and meditation practices, like reducing inflammation, improving memory and neural connections, and supporting cellular health against aging. And, if you're up for hot yoga, you'll get the added bonus of aerobic conditioning too. Win back years by managing stress While a little bit of stress and pressure can sometimes be beneficial, most of us innately know that stress is harmful.
Being exposed to stress consistently and then neglecting our self-care impacts us on a cellular level in a way that accelerates us toward the grave. That's why stress management is the third pillar of longevity. Let's dive into this a little more deeply.
You might know that all your cells contain chromosomes, the structures that house your DNA. Chromosomes themselves are thread-like, and their ends have a protective cap called a telomere, which is like the plastic tip on a shoelace. As you age, your telomeres begin to shorten, causing your DNA to unravel, which leads to your eventual death. But age isn't the only thing that causes telomeres to shrink. Chronic stress does too. That's why stress management is absolutely essential if you want to live longer and with a high quality of life.
A fitness plan optimized for longevity will automatically help you manage stress. But something as simple as breathing exercises can be beneficial too. The Take 5 method is an easy way to start. Simply take 5 deep, slow breaths when you wake up, before you go to bed, and before each meal. Building a meditation practice is a fantastic way to reset your nervous system.
Journaling your emotions is also extremely useful when it comes to stress management. This is a way to exercise all those pent-up emotions so they're not causing havoc with your body's systems.
And journaling each day has been proven to reduce inflammation. So, even if you don't see yourself as a journaling type, it's worthwhile giving it a go.
Getting less than 7 hours of sleep is linked to issues with the body's cardiovascular, immune, nervous, and endocrine systems. Other side effects include an increased risk of dementia, stroke, and diabetes. And that's not even where it ends. When you're asleep, your body is in restore mode, cleaning up the metabolic waste that your cells make each day. Sleep allows your organs, brains, and tissues to repair, and it balances your hormones.
That's why sleep is the fourth pillar of longevity.
According to the author, electromagnetic frequencies can impair sleep, so the best thing you can do is pull the plug on your modem before bed.
Well, best sleep practices suggest that your bed should only be used for two things, sleep and sex. So if you want to watch TV or read before you go to bed, do it in another room. If you find it difficult to fall asleep, try binaural beats sound meditation. This type of beat synchronizes with brainwaves to support deep sleep.
Finally, raise your core temperature by warming your middle with a hot water bath or a heat pad. Not only is this soothing, but it helps trigger the right chemistry for sleep, so you can get the solid 7 hours you need for longevity.
Each day, they spend several hours with their family and friends, a time for offering and receiving connection, support, and love. They're invested in each other's lives, and that gives them a sense of purpose. This may seem like an indulgent way to spend a decent chunk of your life, but having a sense of purpose within a community is linked to life expectancy. People who experience purpose live around 7 years longer than those who don't.
That's why living with purpose is the fifth pillar of longevity. Practicing altruism and helping others is a wonderful way to feel a sense of purpose, and it has the added bonus of connecting you to the community. When you help others, you get a hardcore hit of dopamine, the hormone that makes you feel pleasure and motivates you to keep helping. Your body is literally encouraging you to support others, but not just for their benefit, for yours as well.
In this blink to Young Forever by Mark Hyman, you've learned that, by taking responsibility for your diet, physical activity, and lifestyle, you can significantly increase both your health span and lifespan.

Tamara lost 63 pounds
New Post has been published on https://eazydiet.net/tamara-lost-63-pounds/
Tamara lost 63 pounds
Transformation of the Day: Tamara lost 63+ pounds. Faced with a number of health concerns, including diverticulitis and fibroids, she took steps to reclaim her health and be a healthy role model for her daughter. She adopted a adopted a holistic, alkaline/plant-based approach combined with a balanced fitness routine.
Social Media: Instagram: @weightlosscoachtamara  TikTok: tiktok.com/weightlosscoachtamara Facebook: facebook.com/nuelifewellnessrx
What was your motivation? What inspired you to keep going, even when you wanted to give up? My motivation stemmed primarily from my health concerns. In my early thirties, I was diagnosed with idiopathic cardiomyopathy and was told I’d be on medication for life. Later, I faced other health challenges like diverticulitis and fibroids. These were significant wake-up calls for me. I realized the importance of taking proactive steps to improve my health.
The passing of my father in 2014 was a pivotal moment. He and I shared similar health issues, and his loss at age 60 was a stark reminder of the consequences of not taking care of one’s health. This personal loss, coupled with my desire to be there for my daughter, kept me motivated. She was, and continues to be, a huge inspiration. I want to be a healthy, active role model for her, showing her the importance of health and well-being. My journey has always been about more than just weight loss; it’s been about making lasting changes for a healthier future. My goal is to start creating general health in addition to generational wealth.
How did you change your eating habits? My journey was significantly influenced by joining Dr. Bobby Price’s Tribe Healing Community. It was there that I was educated on the Alkaline diet and the concept of eating to live. The community provided me with a wealth of knowledge on nourishing my body with the right foods and adopting a lifestyle conducive to my health goals.
In addition, I took a step further in my commitment to health by completing a course to become a certified Holistic Nutrition Weight Loss Coach. This education has allowed me to adopt a holistic approach to weight loss, addressing not just the physical aspect, but also the mental, emotional, and lifestyle changes necessary for true health transformation.
My diet now mainly consists of vegetables, fruits, nuts, seeds, legumes, and some whole grains, focusing on Alkaline, whole food, and plant-based nutrition. I’ve eliminated meat and dairy. I try to avoid processed foods as much as possible. Hydration is key, so I drink plenty of spring water, coconut water, and herbal teas.
Intermittent fasting has also become an integral part of my routine, not eating after 8 pm and breaking my fast around noon the next day, usually with fruit to ease into the day gently. I aim for at least two servings of green leafy vegetables daily and undertake a 30-day full-body detox quarterly, using a blend of herbal teas to cleanse my system of toxins, waste, and parasites. It’s about creating a balance and making informed choices that support my body’s needs.
What is your workout routine? When I began my fitness journey, my approach to working out was primarily cardio-centric. I had this misconception that the more cardio I did, the more weight I would lose, and I was constantly fixated on the numbers on the scale. However, this approach led to an unintended consequence – I lost not only fat but also a significant amount of muscle mass. It was a learning curve for me to understand the importance of a balanced workout routine.
Realizing this, I shifted my focus. Now, my workout routine is more holistic and balanced. It’s not just about burning calories; it’s about building and maintaining muscle, which is crucial, especially as we age. I incorporate a mix of strength training and HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) into my routine. This combination helps me to not only lose fat but also to strengthen and tone my muscles.
Strength training has been particularly transformative for me. It’s empowering to see how much stronger and more capable my body becomes with consistent training. And HIIT workouts are fantastic for maximizing efficiency – they are intense, but they bring about significant results.
Of course, I haven’t completely abandoned cardio. I still include moderate cardio sessions in my routine, but they’re no longer the sole focus. It’s about finding that balance and listening to what my body needs.
How often did you work out? My workout schedule is quite consistent but also flexible, depending on how my body feels. Generally, I aim to exercise 3-5 days per week. The structure of my workout week typically looks like this: I work out on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, then take a rest day on Thursday to allow my body some recovery time. I get back to my workouts on Friday and Saturday. Then take another rest day on Sunday.
In terms of my workout routine, I focus on lower body exercises on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. For upper body workouts, I usually train on Tuesdays and Saturdays. However, I do occasionally switch things up – for example, sometimes I’ll work on my upper body on Tuesdays and Thursdays instead and then take the weekend off. It really depends on how I’m feeling physically. Listening to my body and giving it the rest it needs is key to preventing burnout and injury.
This approach has worked well for me, striking a balance between pushing myself in my workouts and allowing ample time for recovery and muscle growth.
What was your starting weight? What is your current weight? When I first started my weight loss journey, I weighed in at 223 pounds and was wearing a size 16. Initially, by focusing mainly on cardio, I managed to bring my weight down to 140 pounds. I fit into a size 8. However, despite the significant weight loss, I noticed that I still had a protruding belly and realized that I had also lost a lot of muscle mass in the process.
Realizing the importance of muscle tone and overall body composition, I shifted my focus to include more strength training in my routine. This change made a substantial difference. Currently, I weigh 160 pounds, and I still wear a size 8, but the composition of my body has changed dramatically. I now have a flatter belly and more defined muscles. I feel stronger, healthier, and more confident, both in how I look and in how I feel in my clothes.
This journey has taught me that the number on the scale is just one aspect of health and fitness. It’s more about how you feel in your body and the strength and wellness you gain along the way.
What is your height? I am 5’9″.
When did you start your journey? How long did your transformation take? My journey towards better health and fitness has been an ongoing process for the past 20 years. It’s been a rollercoaster of gaining and losing weight, a cycle I found myself repeatedly in. However, the real turning point came in 2021. That’s when I made significant changes to my diet and lifestyle, changes that have allowed me to maintain my weight loss more effectively and no longer need to take prescription medications!
Since then, I’ve seen consistent progress, but I like to think of my transformation as an ongoing journey rather than a destination. I am still actively working on my body, focusing now on building muscle and toning. It’s important to me that this journey is about continual improvement and maintaining the healthy habits that have brought me this far.
So, while the most dramatic changes occurred over the last couple of years, my transformation is a continuous process. I’m committed to evolving and enhancing my health and fitness for the long term.
Is weight loss surgery part of your journey? No, I did not have weight loss surgery.
What is the biggest lesson you’ve learned so far? The most impactful lesson I’ve learned is the importance of shifting focus from just cardio and scale numbers to strength training, body measurements, and overall wellness. Initially, I was too fixated on how much I weighed and how much cardio I could do, which, while beneficial to some extent, didn’t give me the holistic results I was looking for.
Another significant realization was the importance of understanding food labels. Just because something is marketed as ‘healthy’ doesn’t always mean it is. This awareness has helped me make more informed choices about what I consume.
Discipline and consistency have also been key lessons. Staying committed to my routine and diet, even when it’s challenging, has been crucial in achieving and maintaining my goals.
Lastly, I’ve learned to view my health and fitness journey as an ongoing process without a final destination. It’s about continuous improvement and adapting to my body’s needs over time. This mindset shift has been essential in keeping me motivated and focused on long-term well-being rather than just short-term gains.
What advice do you have for women who want to lose weight?
The most valuable piece of advice I can give is to deeply understand your ‘WHY.’ Knowing why you want to lose weight is a powerful motivator, especially on those tough days when you feel like giving up. This ‘WHY’ becomes your anchor and reminder of your goals and aspirations.
Start your journey with a positive mindset. Recognize that your journey is unique to you; avoid comparing it with others’. Each person’s path to weight loss is different, and that’s perfectly okay.
One of the things I found most transformative was learning to fall in love with my body. It might sound cliché, but loving your body as it is right now will inspire you to take better care of it. It’s about nurturing and respecting your body, not punishing it.
Patience is key. Weight loss is a journey, not a race. Celebrate every small victory and progress, because some progress, no matter how small, is still progress. It’s important to enjoy the journey and not just focus solely on the destination.
Don’t hesitate to seek support. Whether it’s a coach, a fitness trainer, or just an accountability partner, having someone to guide and support you can make a significant difference, especially if you find it overwhelming to do it alone.
And most importantly, never give up. You are capable of incredible things when you put your mind to it. Remember, it’s about transforming your habits and lifestyle for sustainable weight loss. Natural weight loss is definitely achievable, but it’s about finding what works best for you and sticking to it.

Top 10 NutritionFacts.org Videos of 2023
Top 10 NutritionFacts.org Videos of 2023 https://ift.tt/tcN0ZOA We create more than a hundred new videos every year. They are the culmination of thousands of hours of researching, writing, editing, animating, and producing. We comb through thousands of scientific papers from the peer-reviewed medical literature so that busy people like you don’t have to! In 2023, I covered a wide variety of hot topics. I released the erythritol reversal, a vegetarian stroke risk update, a whole series on yoga, and, of course, a lot on aging and anti-aging based on my research for How Not to Age. Which videos floated to the top last year?   #10 How to Treat Body Odor with Diet  Deodorize from the inside out with food!         #9 The Best Diet for COVID and Long-COVID Soon after COVID-19 emerged as a global public health threat, we paused our planned videos so I could produce a series on COVID-19 and write the book How to Survive a Pandemic. These resources concentrated on how pandemics arise and how we can mitigate future risk. As such, they remain as relevant as ever, but now that we have several years of data on COVID-19, I can finally answer the question: What is the role of nutrition in both preventing and beating COVID-19?   #8 Dietary Cholesterol and Inflammation from Abdominal Obesity The optimal intake of dietary cholesterol may be zero. Hold on. Didn’t the U.S. Dietary Guidelines remove cholesterol as a nutrient of concern? No, just the opposite. Dietary Guidelines: “Eat as Little Dietary Cholesterol as Possible.” Even egg industry-funded studies show that the cholesterol we eat raises blood cholesterol levels. Intermittent fasting day 9
I went to a restaurant with my dad at 1:30, which was pretty much a dinner for breakfast. It was really good, we had bread with olive oil, halloumi cheese, green salad, and I had chicken with potatoes (the chicken looked like it was barbecued because it looked a lot like the chicken we used to make on our own barbecue at home back in the day). Everything was good and filling and even healthy. I enjoyed it a lot.
I had a late oat breakfast with coffee a bit later because the dinner was so filling. And then I had an egg breakfast with toast before my feeding window closed. So it was overall filling.
I feel like I can keep this up. Obviously with my flight it might get a little messy. But that's only 2 days and not a big deal. I also did not go for a walk because I was a bit tired and wanted to spend some time with my dad. But I enjoyed walking in Cyprus a lot and had an amazing walk last night because it was very self reflective. I obviously do a lot of walking in the US so that's not going to be a hard goal to achieve.
I feel like I am less bloated with fasting. Before eating after I wake up, after my fasting window begins at night, and in between meals. It helped better than probiotics and limiting foods that are known to cause bloating such as salty snacks and carbonated drinks. I will get a little grumbling when I wake up and am hungry. But overall I'm doing okay and will continue to monitor my progress. Bloating was an issue I previously discussed that I wanted my probiotics to take care of, along with anxiety, nutritional absorption, eczema, dry skin, and dandruff. IF I feel took care of the bloating well. I'm still working on anxiety and my skin issues.
I deal with a lot of stress and anxiety and I need to end it once and for all because it is debilitating. I wouldn't be surprised if it contributed to my eczema. Other things I believe contribute are inflammation, poor gut health, needing a detox (pollutants and heavy metals are also inflammatory), trigger foods, and of course stress. But these are issues I obviously want to address just like I did with bloating, along with the nutritional absorption. A functional doctor can help in this case and I will be seeing one eventually.
I was worried that I would be hungry with eating less food, but not with IF. I seem to be doing perfectly fine because I don't have to restrict calories and am craving and eating healthy and filling foods which keep me satiated and happy and not deprived nor nutritionally deficient (causes a lot of hunger). And I'm limiting and restricting calories without knowing it. I'm just doing it in a much healthier manner. I feel like this is more doable than having to workout everyday like I used to when I was eating more. I get tired after work and I personally do not enjoy intensive exercises if I want to be honest with myself. I enjoy walking, maybe I might incorporate some yoga or gentle strength. But not HIIT or sweaty circuits. I even want to reduce my mass both via fat and muscle, so I want to take it easy with the exercise. I also don't want intense exercise to be another addition to my already existing stress. But I'll be okay. Walking and IF are perfect for now.
Tomorrow will be a bit messy because I'm traveling and cannot walk and my flights will mess up my IF schedule especially with the time zone differences. But I'll be back on track.
