Strudel, who would you say is your best friend, aside from Mr. NutNut?

First thought came rather wistfully to a particular robot dog — but the pitiful fact of it was that Toyoshiko had been gone with memory erased for quite some time now. It just wasn't a viable answer anymore, no matter how she wished it could have been.

"I cannot pick only one! There are so many to the team! Lucky, Cookie, Squirt, Niblet — They are all my best friends!"

But were they? At the end of the day, after all was said and done, she knew they were her friends, but were they her best friends? She wasn't entirely sold. She was a needed member, yes, but... How far did it stretch beyond her talent in invention?

Debate online about the 'ocean anomaly' near Africa

It showed up on infrared .. TikTok went nutnuts. Social media went wild.. people wondered if it was the end times, a UFO taking off, or a massive wave that will sweep the globe..

OR...

A malfunction.. Just a sensor mistake.. It's all good.

NEWSWEEK and others reported the malfunction theory. But that has not stopped rumors and fears from churning.

Some even wondered.. it is the mother ship!

All that aside.. it all seemingly is being explained by the company that admitted a software error.

And just when you think itch is just a glitch, flashback MARCH 2023: NASA then was tracking a huge growing anomaly in Earth's magnetic field..

Nutty sparked up. “Oh, I can do that if you want me to.”

Virgil stared as she looked up and up and up at his little brother. Her expression could only be described as eager.

John took a step back and without thinking, Virgil threw himself across the room and intervened between his brother and…that. He held up a hand as the crazy thing just grinned more. “You keep away from my brother.”

“Oh?”

But suddenly his view was blocked by blue cotton shoulders. “I’d like to second that.”

Nutty stared up at Scott. An eyebrow arched, but she didn’t stop smiling. “I have one word for you, Commander.” Her eyes sparkled with mischief. “Tsari.”

Virgil blinked as Scott went white as a sheet.

“Hey!” Gordon, still budgie smuggling, stepped in front of Scott. “You leave him alone!”

The dwarf didn’t have to crank her neck up as high to catch Gordon’s eyes, but the word ‘Tippy’ had the same result with the aquanaut as as the other name had with Scott.

Virgil stepped out from behind his eldest brother and grabbed Gordon, only to be horrified as Alan jumped in.

“You leave my brothers alone!”

Virgil cracked and grabbed his little brother dragging him away from the feral creature.

“John, I really think you have nothing to complain about.” Virgil waved a hand in front of Scott’s face and manhandled him into a chair. “I’m thinking we should all sign up with the witchy one. For the sake of our health.”

The dwarf just cackled.

I like to interpret the relationship between Strudel and Mr. NutNut as one that's more mother and son than owner and pet as the series tries to suggest. Yeah, maybe initially a pet is what Mr. NutNut wanted to be, but deep down he just wanted a parent that could accept him on a deeper level, which the previous adoptive parent just couldn't provide. IDK. But in my portrayal, Strudel is his mom who just so happens to also be an instructor and teacher.
