Summary time
The gang decided to investigate a Selunite encampment for Eirwen to ask for ways to combat Shar and the influence of the Shadowfell and maybe clues regarding her lost memories. The Selunite outpost was....well rundown. Everything was dirty, tattered and no Selunite symbols. When questioned they literally just said "DO YOU SEE HOW WE LIVE?"
2. I think you guys can tell that it was actually a Sharrian enclave instead. Blythe used Dominate Person and charmed one of them and they gave us a guided tour of the facility. The basement had a bunch of bodies and relics, which we looted of course.
3. The party (Eirwen and Arameia) refused to leave unless we took care of them because they're hurting innocent people. Blythe couldn't possibly give a fuck cause she's not getting paid, and Raha just kind of was ambivalent. Then Blythe had a lightbulb moment and told them to UNALIVE themselves (Yes I know Dominate person doesn't work this way but we found it to be funny enough to just go with it)
5. Afterwards the gang went back to camp and hung out for a bit. Had a long discussion about whether or not it matters if Eirwen regains her memories because at the end of the day, she's still herself. Who cares who she used to be, and if that information hurts her...why not let sleeping dogs lie?
5.5 I FORGOT but at dinner Lorelai decided to be bat form as it's easier for her to get cozy and warm up and she had her blood in a goblet (Yes we all thought batstarion was too adorable). Arameia however thought it was EXTRA adorable and asked her to sit her in lap. She did.
6. Raha made breakfast the next day - Rice Porridge with nutmet and cinnamon with side of plums and nuts...it was an Elven dish from his childhood - unfortunately it had milk in it and Eirwen is lactose intolerant.
6.5 ANOTHER THING I FORGOT - Arameia introduced her tiny little miniature dragon she found in her coinpurse (yes. that's his horde. pocket change) and Blythe went Wild because of the amount of chemical reagents she could acquire from the little guy. The little guy in question was sweating bullets and attempting to flee.
7. We went to an Elven village to restock but turned out that it was ransacked by most likely humans, judging by the weapons left behind. Raha himself was the most despondent out of them all since he had lost his family due to a human raid, his entire village facing a similar fate and nothing remained except some survivors that had to relocate.
8. Arameia asked Raha to translate something she found and it was clear that Raha did not speak Elven naturally, and it is his second language. It was revealed that Raha never learned Elven as a child, due to the proximity of his village to a large human settlement most spoke common instead of Elven to be able to communicate with the humans. Unfortunately this caused a lot of friction with the Elves that took in the refugees. Facing a lot of ostracization and othering, Raha had left this other village as soon as he could, and learned Elven on his own, causing him to be fluent by no means anywhere near a native speaker.
(I shit you not tumblr wouldn't let me post this until i did the border. I don't know what it has against Forlorn Raha)
9. Raha and Arameia had a heart to heart at the fire, as Arameia also lost her parents when her village was wiped out (hers by a pack of werewolves, hence her deep seated hatred towards them). Raha could sympathize, but he doesn't hate humans, due to the hate he faced from other Elves. He believes that it's simply a product of having power, and chooses to remain solitary.
He is thankful for meeting everyone but he can never trust crowds or big populations ever again, preferring to stay clear.
10. Lorelai bullied Raha for getting laid

The Most Decadent Thanksgiving Side - Brussels Sprouts Gratin
It kind of feels like the fall season flew by so quickly and I barely had time to enjoy it! Thanksgiving is this Thursday and I’m making my grocery list, setting my table and getting ready to start making the feast at the same time I’m planning for the Christmas holiday!
We always go and get a fresh Christmas tree the day after Thanksgiving and this year, I’m thinking of having 2 trees…one for the children in the den, and a really fancy one in the living room…we shall see!
But…back to Thanksgiving! I kind of half did my front porch in early October and the squirrels ate so many of my pumpkins that the porch was a mess and nothing looked very nice anymore! Last weekend, I went and got more pumpkins and made these arrangements in some old urns and I’m really pleased with how they turned out, although the dang squirrels are still getting into them! If anyone has a suggestion, other than a BB gun (which I’ve seriously considered), please let me know because it’s making me crazy!
After I arranged the pumpkins, along with some real and some artificial fall leaves and magnolia, I sprayed everything with Modge Podge (thinking that would be a squirrel deterrent), and I’m really pleased with how they turned out! If I can just keep them until Friday morning, we’ll be good!
And now…on to the Brussels Sprouts Gratin recipe…
I love Brussels sprouts anyway…raw in a salad, roasted, fried - in my opinion, these cute little round cabbage looking vegetables are delicious, but if you don’t like them, this recipe will change your mind!
Sliced leeks are sautéed in olive oil until they’re velvety and delicious and then added to very thinly sliced (shredded) Brussels. Then the fun begins…
Heavy cream, combined with Gruyere and Parmesan cheeses, nutmeg, salt and pepper make a delicious and decedent sauce that’s poured over the Brussels and then baked until bubbly and fragrant. The whole thing is topped with crispy panko breadcrumbs and popped back into the oven for just a few minutes. You must try this because it’s just soooo delicious! The recipe is below so keep scrolling!
I’m sure you all know this, but be sure to wash your leeks really well because they have so much dirt in them and you don’t want that in your gratin!
The recipe calls for one cup of panko breadcrumbs but I used extra because I love the crispy topping…just be sure to add a little more olive oil and add a bit more Parmesan if you increase the amount of panko!
Fresh thyme leaves on top of the casserole dress the dish up and make it look really pretty for serving!

Add the shredded Brussels sprouts to the bowl and toss to combine.","Add the cream, Gruyere, ¼ cup of the parmesan, salt, pepper, thyme, and nutmeg to the same skillet. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly, until cheese melts and a thick sauce forms, about 3 minutes. Bake until the Brussels sprouts are tender, about 20 minutes.","In a small bowl, combine the panko with the remaining ¼ cup of parmesan and remaining 3 tablespoons of olive oil and a little salt and pepper.","Remove the Brussels sprouts from the oven. Evenly sprinkle with the panko mixture, then bake until the topping is golden brown, 5 to 6 minutes more."],"@context":"http://schema.org","@type":"Recipe"}
This is going to be such a busy weekend filled with Thanksgiving preparation and getting the bedrooms ready for the everyone to come home! I plan to completely set my table tomorrow, so I’ll share some pictures here on Monday! I hope you all have a fabulous weekend and please let me know if you make this Brussels Sprouts Gratin! Also, remember…I love your comments so please let me know what you think!

#7341 Small Pony Barrel Works SMÜV Carrot Cake (Canada) Basically @nathandoesbeer is feeding my beer habit rn, and this is another banger from the legends at Small Pony - their latest smoothie sour. Coming in at 5%, it’s a golden sour beer aged in oak barrels with puréed carrots, banana, vanilla and spices (cinnamon, nutmet, ginger and cloves). It pours like carrot juice with a quickly dissipating bubbly head and a tart, fruity nose, the body is creamy and smooth, it’s hella tangy with cakey, there’s earthy carrot vibes alongside the spices that really deliver the true carrot cake experience, it’s juicy and a pleasure to drink, wrapping in a fruity, tart finish. So damn good. (at Hamilton, Ontario) https://www.instagram.com/p/CiRb74yt1en/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

🍹 :) for kal or hokori tbh
i can't believe he will make kalpas a SECOND fucking drink. smh he thirsty -- @decimatcd
' hmm, i'm having a sneaking suspicion that you've come to see me, instead of having a drink, but... ' kaeya smiles mysteriously up at his boyfriend and then shrugs with a soft chuckle. ' i'll indulge you. in both. '
the base of his drink will be fire water, because if there's an appropriate drink fo kalpas, it has to be liquid, scalding alcohol. a quick and warm drink, just like the man in front of him.
with an hum of contentment, kaeya settles a pot on the fire and prepares the concotion: orange and apple juice mix together with ginger slices, a bit of weakly tasting tea, crushed cinnamon sticks and grates nutmet in the pot. lemon juice, a peeled and crushed orange and an apple follow suit, along with three little clementines, an handful of cloves and grated jaggery for the sugar. ( he wonders where diluc got that one, but what a stroke of luck that he has! ) everything is accompanied by kaeya humming a quiet tune, enjoying the fruit broth immensely.
and when the warm beverage is ready, spoonful after spoonful he serves the warm fruit punch to kalpas with a big grin, eye shimmering. when the pulps have been taken out with a strainer, what's left of it is a beverage akin to fire, with orange and dark red battling for dominance, transparent and swirling in the quickly heating glass. to prevent it from exploding, kaeya dips a little spoon in it, just in case.
' hope it's warm enough? ' he says innocently, knowing the other's ability to control the heat.
#decimatcd#yes its fucking WARM FRUIT PUNCH. and with fire water its indeed a fruit punch to the THROAT#CACKLES IN GAY#hokori is the punch in this too. sock me in the teeth queen

Chocolate Chai & Marzipan Chocolates (raw vegan) made by #RawChefYin. Earlier this year, I was on a chocolate obsession and kept making chocolates for an entire week. The results were ok. I've gotten way better now, phew! You just need to trust the process. Chocolate Chai was made from scratch using: - cashews that were soaked, rinsed and drained - cacao powder from @pacarichocolatemalaysia - Masarang Arenga Forest Sugar from @straitswholefoods - cinnamon powder - nutmet powder - Bentong ginger which I sliced, dehydrated in my @excaliburdehydrator at 45 degrees Celsius until dry and then ground into powder (I prefer making my own ginger powder so I know it's pure and has zero fillers) - Himalayan pink salt - organic coconut oil Marzipan Chocolate was made from scratch, using: ✔cashews ✔macadamias ✔Masarang Arenga Forest Sugar from Straits Wholefoods ✔almond extract ✔Himalayan pink salt ✔coconut oil ✔coconut flour from Bob's Red Mill Natural Foods The dark chocolate used to enrobe the marzipan was also made from scratch based on the Amy Levin / Ooosha recipe using: 🔸cacao powder Pacari Chocolate Malaysia & Organicule Superfoods 🔸cacao butter from UBUD RAW Chocolate Factory 🔸Masarang Arenga Forest Sugar I had to enrobe this one by one...no wonder it took me the entire morning to make chocolates! https://www.instagram.com/p/BvTUIZyJj0T/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=ucbyu8yegn8o
