Secrets and Lies Chapter 6

Hello everyone! I will put the fic on hiatus from now on. I have to work on my youtube channel and I can't work on both because my depressed ass is preventing me from doing it at the same time. So hear me out. A silly "Side B" AU mission. Dubbed OPERATION: S.E.A.S.H.E.L.L. (Super Exciting Aquatic Stunt Has Everyone Looking Large-scale) Ft. @kommandonuovidiavoli's Penny and Val/Numbuh 6-5000 on a mermaid hunt.

Val does do some "Dhampir Hunter V" work prior to the whole events that follow with her as a teen; in this case, mainly weredog, nerd zombie, and other vampire activity in the area. Penny, in her never-ending quest to make friends with a mermaid (plus "holy moly, if vampires and other mythical creatures exist, mermaids HAVE to!!"), contacts and "hires" her to help her track them down. Val is initally a bit hesistant- surely Kitty/Numbuh M-30-W would be a better candidate for this mission? She does love swimming after all.

"Well, you've got 'hunter' in your title, right?" ...Well, heck, she's got her there.

Plus, she could use a bit of a break from The Horrors™, so why not. A beach/pier-side carnival day does sound kind of fun, too...

Okay, yes, she does have to take a zillion precautions cuz of the sun (stupid dhampir genes...), at least while it's up, but hey! Should be a potentially fun little mission, right? ....Right??

There's a lot to say here, so I'll start with Nigel and go on until everything is explained?? Before reading, I don't want hate or anything plz, this is what works for this AU but I pretty much can ship anyone with anyone!

Nigel and Hoagie like to work in tandem on new 2x4 tech for teen operatives to use. Hoagie has the ideas, Nigel refines them (and avoids Hoagie from making them too dangerous or unstable) and they build them together. Nigel hasn't always been one for manual work but lately he found out it helps him not to think too much. And Hoagie's more than happy to help "Big Boss" relax!

Kuki is Nigel's personal ray of sunshine (that's also why the whole school calls her that). She helps him to cheer up and see life in a different way, a more colorful and positive one. They don't even have to talk, Nigel just needs to sit next to her and plop his head on her shoulder and she knows it's time to work her magic on him! Also she somehow convinced him to have her test her "make up skills" on him. Don't ask why, that's how they roll. AND! Kuki's been in charge of taking care of Nigel's rainbow monkey plush since he left for GKND.

Because of something that happen to Wally years before (which, don't ask, none of them want to talk about it), these two are now really close. Especially Wally found a good friend he can talk to when life gets too hard on him, he knows Nigel will be more than happy to listen to him go off without judging or forcing a solution on him. Basically Nigel KNOWS the root of all of Wally's problems and understands his feelings. They don't like to show how close they are around, but if they find each other alone, it's feeling time.

They know EVERYTHING about EVERYONE around the school, no one is safe, not even professors or the principal himself. They could crush everyone in one move... but choose not too because were would the fun be? Sill best friends, if you didn't know their history you could easily mistake them for a couple. Well, they are in fact planning their wedding, been doing that for 2 years now, but it always gets delayed because one of them changes his mind about a minor detail. Do they even argue? Are they actually together?? What is going on??? Only they know.

Just a quick note: Numbuh 6 is still there and they still keep an eye on him, but he's been moved to another sector when they all turned 13. Because of his love for anime and manga, Hoagie is actually learning Japanese with her, because he thinks it would be cool to be able to watch anime without subtitles or worse, the... dub... EWW! Also they like to watch stuff together that Wally refuses to because it has romance in it, like Toradora! or even Sword Art Online.

Best friends forever. Kinda gay, but not all the way? Like IRL JD and Turk basically. They're so into anime and manga and videogames, they're NERDS but Wally usually hides it around people, Hoagie can't be bothered and you can spot him reading some manga no one even knew existed. They have a lot of inside jokes not even the others understand, especially the "chicken" one they've been keep going since they were 7. Also, they're meme masters.

A ray of sunshine and the prince of darkness. Happiness and rage, rainbow and clouds, colorful and black. They seem like opposite worlds colliding, but the whole school knows they're dating now. Took a bit of time tbh, it has its ups and downs, but they look happy together, so, what else could they want? 2 years down, their whole life to go.

 I think it was near the end of 2023? I was introduced to the fandom by one of the comics that @fallen-gabrielle posted. I was a fan of old fashioned cartoons already and loved the unique art style! A few comics and several episodes later, I was hooked!

6: did you cry when you watch OP INTERVIEWS?

I didn't cry but It felt quite bitter sweet. I’m the sort of person who watches the end before finishing a series. So I kind of scrolled through the entire wiki and watched I.N.T.E.R.V.I.E.W.S. before actually watching the C:KND. It is an inevitable fate for all kids to grow up to grow old and gray at some point. But I have never seen characters grown up in a cartoon before. The whole episode made KND hit a bit too close to home to me. 

Ironically the episode that made me upset the most ended up being one of the reasons that I like about the KND.

7: funniest moment?

Wally saying “C’mon she already has every single rainbow monkey there is!”

And then watching in horror as the rainbow monkey aircraft coming into view before saying;

“Oh yeah, except that one.”

8: saddest moment?

Abby giving up in Operation M.A.U.R.I.C.E. after facing that every one she knows and loves in the KND will turn into teens & forget about her eventually.

Ummm... can’t choose! Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Pan, Poly, Platonic I love & have them all!

The thousands of fan theories, fan fiction with their own interesting head cannons, multiple aus and crossovers, and of course the beautiful fanart with unique art styles!

Those weird pedo & insest shippers that keep spawning out of nowhere

14: do you wish there were more die hard KND fans in the fandom?

YES. A thousand times YES.

Near the start of May 2024 and have been drawing almost daily ever since! But It’s mostly animation plans and sketches so I don’t post often nowadays

Monster Kids Next Door

An AU inspired by Monster High where the KND are children of famous monsters and help protect monster kids from humans who want to capture them. The monsters live in a separate world called the Monster World, a parallel of Earth where they'll be safe from humans. The MKND can travel to the human world but some villains like Father have figured out how to travel to the Monster World. The MKND also help human kids from evil adults (they even befriend some humans who can be trusted) and evil fight off evil monsters who believe humans should be eradicated in order for monsters to live peacefully or just some bad monsters in general. Sector V in this AU live in Vileginia (a play on Virginia).

Nigel Inferno/Numbuh 1 - Son of the Dragons

Hoagie P. Trollsend Jr./Numbuh 2 - Son of the Trolls

Kuki Onimaru/Numbuh 3- Daughter of the Onis

Wally Yara/Numbuh 4 - Son of the Yara-ma-yha-who (An Australian vampiric monster)

Abby Treasure/Numbuh 5 - Daughter of the Ghost Pirates

Their treehouse is a mix of a haunted house and the Addams Family's house. Their treehouse is also powered up by hamster ghosts. Bradley/Numbuh 6 is a were-skunk that Sector V rescued, along with his family, from Chester who was trying to sell him.

All the villains all relatively the same, expect most of them want to capture the monsters to sell them or use them for nefarious purposes. Father wants to use the monsters and the Monster Kids Next Door to take over the world. He has a hatred to Sector V (mostly Nigel) and wants to turn them into well-behaved human children. The Delightful Children try to capture the Monster Kids Next Door but Sector V always beats them. Rumor has it that Father might be a monster too and just uses a human disguise. Another rumor states that the Delightful Children used to be monsters but Father turned them into humans a long time ago.
